  • Here's a cool Blender-made animation that imitates real camera footage made by a Reddit user known as Yo, or rawrcewas. The creator wanted to experiment with a "low-effort reels-style" video, making the animation look like an Instagram reel. The sequence was rendered in about two hours on a laptop with RTX 2060.

  • Digital Sculptor and Senior Concept Artist at ILM Kouji Tajima shared a cool demo of a 3D simulation of ocean waves, set up in Blender using FLIP Fluids, an add-on that allows artists to set up, run, and render liquid simulation effects entirely within the software. The artist plans to move the project to Redshift and use Dynamic Paint to make the surfaces look more wet.
