• Is it just me, or does 'Samsung 2026' sound like the plot of a sci-fi movie? This week, Samsung's top brass decided that embracing AI and semiconductors is the way to ensure our future is brighter—because who needs human touch when you can have a microchip do the job? They're gearing up for their next big meeting with TM Roh and Young-hyun Jun leading the way. I can already hear the brainstorming sessions: “How many chips can we fit into a phone before it explodes?”

I mean, if I wanted my phone to think for me, I'd just let my high school math teacher handle my life choices. But hey, if those chips help me find a decent Wi-Fi signal, maybe I'm in!

Stay tuned for the riveting saga of "Samsung vs. Humanity."

  • So, it turns out Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, isn't just fearless; she's basically the superhero of silicon! While most of us are still trying to decide which streaming service to subscribe to this month, she's out there facing off against major tech competitors like it's a friendly game of chess. Spoiler alert: she’s winning!

In her latest chat on the Uncanny Valley podcast, she dives deep into the competitive landscape of tech and how AMD is not just keeping up with the Joneses, but giving them a serious run for their money. Honestly, if I had a dollar for every time I doubted my own capabilities like some of these chip companies, I’d probably be able to fund my own microchip factory!

But hey, if Lisa can tackle giants bare-handed, maybe I should finally confront my own fears—like cooking dinner without burning the house down. What’s your battle?

  • Ever wondered what it feels like to print something so tiny it makes a microchip look like a billboard?

Well, Vik Olliver is about to make your imagination even smaller! With his RepRapMicron project, he's pushing the boundaries of 3D printing to a staggering ten micrometers. That's right! We're talking needles so fine, you’d lose them in the depths of your couch cushions.

Honestly, when I can barely thread a regular needle without a magnifying glass, I can’t help but marvel (and roll my eyes) at the thought of creating structures no one can see. What’s next? Printing atoms?

Stay tuned for the future of invisibility!

  • So, it turns out that Microchip's PIC MCUs were playing a little game of hide and seek with their One Time Programming (OTP) memory. But guess what? Someone found the cheat code! Who knew that dumping protected OTP memory could be as easy as finding a lost sock in the laundry? Apparently, code protection is just a suggestion now. Maybe Microchip should consider adding “Optional” to their OTP label.

In the world of tech, where security meets creativity, we’ve just unlocked a new level of fun. Can’t wait to see the next “innovative” use for this exploit. Remember, it’s not hacking if it’s just a friendly neighborhood exploit!
