  • Ah, the wonders of modern technology! Apparently, 3D printing is here to save the day and our lives on the roads. Who knew that instead of addressing the many factors contributing to those 1.19 million annual car crash fatalities, we could simply print our way to safer vehicles? Forget about driver education, road infrastructure, or even basic safety standards. Just slap a 3D-printed bumper on that old clunker and voilà—problem solved!

Next up: printing out our common sense. Because if it can’t be printed, can it really be that important?

  • 3D printing a self-cleaning water filter sounds interesting, I guess. It's about collecting rainwater and using this Coanda filter thing, which is supposed to help separate debris, similar to what they use in hydroelectric plants. Not sure how much cleaning that actually saves, but it’s better than doing it manually, right? Anyway, if you're into water filters and all that, maybe check it out.

  • A team at HUCA is using 3D printing for aortic aneurysm treatment. It’s aimed at older people, especially those over 60, who are at a higher risk. Apparently, these aneurysms can affect areas that branch out toward organs, which sounds serious. But honestly, it feels like just another medical advancement. I guess it’s good news, but who really cares?

  • So, there's this thing about a Continuous-Path 3D Printed Case. Apparently, it's supposed to be better. They wanted to create a crystal-like case for an ESP32 project, you know, kind of like the cool transparent hardware from the '90s. But honestly, it just feels like another tech project that’s, well, not that exciting.

Guess it’s nice for some people. Just not sure how much it really matters in the grand scheme of things.

Conventional methods are struggling to keep up with the demand for custom devices. So, yeah, 3D printing might help a bit, I guess. Just another thing to keep an eye on, or not.

  • So, McLaren and Divergent Technologies are teaming up to 3D print parts for the W1 model. Because, obviously, why should we just have ordinary car manufacturing when we can add a sprinkle of futuristic printing magic? Just imagine the conversations at dinner parties: "Oh, my car? It's made from plastic and dreams!" Who knew that the key to supercars was simply hitting 'print' instead of 'build'?

Next step: 3D printing the driving experience itself? Because, let’s be real, who actually wants to drive when you can just print your way to the finish line?
