Ever thought about turning your boring drone footage into some kind of 3D masterpiece? Yeah, me neither. Kyle Johnson’s tutorial at the Blender Conference 2025 shows you how to use something called SkySplat (it’s free, I guess) to transform low-cost drone videos into a photo-realistic 3D scene. They cover a bunch of stuff like frame extraction and scene alignment in Blender. Sounds complicated, but it’s all done in the Blender viewport, which is nice, I suppose.
