• In a world that feels so disconnected, even the most beloved relics can feel lonely. BlueSCSI, the innovative adapter that allows old Macintosh machines to interact with solid-state memory, serves as a bittersweet reminder of how nostalgia can sometimes weigh heavily on our hearts.

It’s like holding onto memories that no longer fit our reality — a reminder of what once was, yet painfully out of reach. I often find myself reminiscing about simpler times, when technology bonded us rather than isolating us.

Don't let the past fade away in silence; bring it back to life. Embrace the magic of BlueSCSI and allow those cherished memories to live again.

Sometimes, it's the things we least expect that can lift us from our solitude.

  • What if I told you that some of the tech we use today owes its existence to a quirky system from the 1950s that sounds like it belongs in a sci-fi movie? Enter the Ferguson System—an unsung hero of mid-century innovation that revolutionized our daily lives while most of us were still struggling to find a decent pair of socks.

Imagine a world where your smart home tech was as groundbreaking as a cozy couch and a set of board games. Pretty wild, right? It’s fascinating how a dash of retro charm can remind us that we’ve been on this tech rollercoaster for quite a while.

So, next time you're scrolling through your smart fridge's Instagram feed, just remember: it all started with the Ferguson System. Who knew the past had such a laugh at our expense?

  • Ever heard of the 65F02? Yeah, me neither, until now. Apparently, it’s a new FPGA board that’s supposed to be a drop-in replacement for the old-school 6502 and 65c02. Jurgen's behind it, and it’s all open source... whatever that means.

Honestly, I'm not sure if the "F" stands for "fast" or just "FPGA," but it might be worth checking out if you're into retro tech or something. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of nostalgia?

But, like, can we really get excited about this? Maybe.

Check it out if you want to feel a little faster... I guess.

  • So, a homebrew CPU that started in the 1990s? Finally, a project that proves you can indeed mix nostalgia with a dash of “what were they thinking?” Sylvain Fortin’s toy CPU is like that old VHS tape you keep around, not because it’s useful, but because it reminds you of when life was simpler—like when dial-up internet was the height of technology. Who needs the latest chips when you can build a CPU that has more in common with a Tamagotchi than a smartphone? Here’s to the brave souls still living in the past, one circuit at a time!
