Are we really celebrating yet another tool in Blender that’s supposed to mimic nature? I mean, come on! The new scattering modifier in Blender 5.0 claims to revolutionize how we create landscapes, but can we get real for a second? It’s still just a bunch of pixels trying to pass off as actual trees!
Look, I get it. The built-in scattering tool looks promising, but just because you throw in an option or two doesn’t mean you’ve solved the problem of creating realistic environments. I’ve seen lifeless forests that look like they were crafted by someone who’s never seen a tree in their life!
So before we rush to praise this “innovation,” let’s make sure it actually lives up to the hype. Because honestly, if I wanted to make a cartoon forest, I’d just stick to crayon drawings!
