Some important news for millions of 23andMe customers: The genetic testing company notified customers on Sunday that they now have until July 14 to file potential claims as the company navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to TechCrunch. The DNA testing firm, which filed for bankruptcy in March along with 11 of its subsidiaries, must pay customers as part of its bankruptcy restructuring process. 23andMe, which provided DNA analysis to offer insights into ancestry, health traits, and genetic risks, filed for Chapter 11 after it rejected acquisition offers and its market value plummeted in the wake of a massive data breach in 2023. That breach impacted nearly 7 million users by exposing their names, birth years, relationship labels, percentages of DNA shared with relatives, ancestry reports, and self-reported locations, according to TechCrunch. Multiple class action lawsuits followed, as did mass layoffs and staff in-fighting, while 23andMe’s market value plunged from its 2021 peak of $6 billion. How can I file a 23andMe claim? There are three ways 23andMe customers can file a claim. If you were a customer between May 1, 2023 and October 1, 2023, and you were also notified that your personal information was compromised in a data breach that was discovered and disclosed by 23andMe in October 2023, you can file what is known as a Cyber Security Incident Claim. Alternatively, customers who suffered financial or other damages due to that 2023 breach can submit a claim as part of the bankruptcy case. Finally, customers who have grievances about DNA test results or the company’s telehealth services that don’t directly pertain to the breach can submit a claim using the General Bar Date Package. We're about three weeks out from the theatrical release of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina,  starring Ana de Armas. So naturally Lionsgate has released one final trailer to whet audience appetites for what promises to be a fiery, action-packed addition to the hugely successful franchise. (Some spoilers for 2019's John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum.) Chronologically, Ballerina takes place during the events of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. As previously reported, Parabellum found Wick declared excommunicado from the High Table for killing crime lord Santino D'Antonio on the grounds of the Continental. On the run with a bounty on his head, he makes his way to the headquarters of the Ruska Roma crime syndicate, led by the Director (Anjelica Huston). The Director also trains young girls to be ballerina-assassins, and one young ballerina (played by Unity Phelan) is shown rehearsing in the scene. That dancer, Eve Macarro, is the main character in Ballerina, now played by de Armas. Huston returns as the Director, Ian McShane is back as Winston, and Lance Reddick makes one final (posthumous) appearance as the Continental concierge, Charon. New cast members include Gabriel Byrne as the main villain, the Chancellor, who turns an entire town against Eve; Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Nogi, Eve's mentor; Norman Reedus as Daniel Pine; and Catalina Sandino Moreno and David Castaneda in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The first trailer was released last September and focused heavily on Eve's backstory: Having been orphaned, she chose to train with the Ruska Roma in hopes of avenging her father's brutal death. Wick only made a brief appearance, but he had more screen time in the second trailer, released in March, in which the pair face off in an atmospheric wintry landscape. This final trailer opens with Eve looking up while directly in Wick's crosshairs. Much of the ensuing footage isn't new, but it does show de Armas to her best deadly advantage as she takes on combatant after combatant in true John Wick style. While we have been seeing a bit of a resurgence in popularity for the classic skateboarding series Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater with the upcoming release of 3 + 4, the skateboarder lending his name to the franchise has said that he would also like a remaster of Tony Hawk’s Underground happen at some point. In an interview with ScreenRant, Tony Hawk spoke about how he was trying his best to get the story-based skateboarding game remastered. “I always have aspirations,” Hawk said. “It’s not up to me generally. I’ll campaign all I can, but I’m working with a much bigger company that’s a lot smarter than me.” It is worth noting, however, that Hawk also said that discussions about remastering Tony Hawk’s Underground haven’t actually happened at Activision yet. The company is likely waiting to see the commercial response to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 before it makes any decisions about bringing back later games in the franchise. When later asked about whether discussions had begun yet, Hawk also noted that it was too early right now, since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 hadn’t been released yet. “Yeah, we haven’t even released this game,” he said. Tony Hawk’s Underground was the follow-up to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. Released all the way back in 2003, the game was originally released on PS2, GameCube and Xbox back in the day. There was also a version made for the Game Boy Advance. Rather than staying with the franchise’s more arcade-styled loop, Tony Hawk’s Underground instead focused on telling a story with the player’s own custom-created skateboarder. Throughout the story in Tony Hawk’s Underground, players would get to meet and skate with a variety of skateboarding legends as they travelled all over the world to take part in skateboarding competitions. Borrowing some aspects from THPS 4, Underground also featured a more open approach to its objectives, with the player needing to complete a variety of missions from NPCs in the zone they were in before they could continue with the next chapter of the story. As for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, Activision recently confirmed that Bam Margera would be part of the game’s roster as one of its Secret Skaters. The announcement was made with a trailer, where Margera spoke about first playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 and getting so enthralled with it that he ended up missing several flights. A rumour from back in March indicated that Margera was added to the roster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 on the insistence of Tony Hawk himself. According to The Live Club podcast co-host Roger Bagley, Hawk insisted to Activision that Margera be included in the roster, which reportedly ended up with Margera having to fly to the studio to get body-scanned for the game. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is slated for release on July 11, and will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
