It goes live on April 15th; however, the developer will discuss it in greater detail on Twitch the day after at 1 PM UTC. Patch 8 includes long-awaited features like cross-platform multiplayer, cross-progression and Photo Mode. It also adds 12 new subclasses, one for each main class, including the Ranger’s Swarmkeeper, the Rogue’s Swashbuckler, the Wizard’s Bladesinging, and the Monk’s Drunken Master, among many others. The back 120mm is already there to suck the air out. You could add another 120mm on the top to exhaust but it's hardly critical; maybe if you found a cheap 3 pack of fans or something. While the front and top technically support 140mm it really looks like it will cause more problems than its worth. Similarly I wouldn't want a 3x120mm fan setup because the third fan would just be sitting in the PSU shroud at the bottom.  Protoman200X The Fallen Oct 25, 2017 9,442 N. Gamers Nexus just did a video talking about the state of Taiwanese manufacturers, and it's a mix of everything. But the interesting part was EVGA, which has extremely restricted access and can assumed to be operating at reduced capacity. So if nothing else I expect the card manufacturers to be more limited in the models they announce. Click to shrink... I think the H1 is definitely a cool build. That being said, if you go 9900K/RTX2070SUPER you've unbalanced your rig against 4K gaming. Honestly, if you really want 4K you have two options: RTX2080Super (or Ti) or wait for Ampere (RTX 3000) It's just around the corner. The 9900K is a great CPU but you could easily downgrade to the 9700K and put that money towards more GPU, which in general should be the rule for building a rig. Generally speaking right now the rule is that if you want 4k60 you should be on 2080/Ti. The sweet spot for PC rigs today is 1440p60+ because that is way more achievable with 2060 Super / 2070 Super, and because Windows itself just is a less clunky experience at 1440p than 4K. I suspect you can still do 4K on the 2070, but I'm not sure how far you have to tweak the options. The 9900K is a great CPU but you could easily downgrade to the 9700K and put that money towards more GPU, which in general should be the rule for building a rig. Generally speaking right now the rule is that if you want 4k60 you should be on 2080/Ti. The sweet spot for PC rigs today is 1440p60+ because that is way more achievable with 2060 Super / 2070 Super, and because Windows itself just is a less clunky experience at 1440p than 4K. I suspect you can still do 4K on the 2070, but I'm not sure how far you have to tweak the options. I would not be opposed to trying to build something myself but would prefer to go with a prebuilt configuration as this would be my first gaming PC. The easiest option would probably be to just pick a different/bigger case. I disagree that hitting 60 or below is "strong", but it does get close, so if that's all you need, alright. Maybe set it to "high" instead and try to pump it a bit further. Still, I would again prefer a 2080 or 3000 simply because with so little headroom, it seems unlikely that Cyberpunk or future games will perform to that same level. If W3 can't hit 60... If Dick Whitman did go with this config, I must say I would probably advise an RTX 2070 Super and pairing it with a G-Sync display. If your framerate is going to rough it from 20-70fps all of the time, it would help a lot to have the refresh and framerate synced. Freesync monitors can do it too, but usually they are limited to activation around 45-48hz instead of the 30hz of G-Sync, so this is one of those times where it would help. Anyone playing 4k on PC can just vsync and play on any old 4k tv. And the cost-value bump to go from 2070S to anything higher is really...difficult to justify. Even worse coming from 5700XT. My suggestion System Builder pcpartpicker.com 1. Changed the CPU Cooler for something that's just as effective while noticeably cheaper - source 2. Changed the Mobo for cheaper cost 3. Went with a Toshiba 2TB drive, these are rebranded HGST 3.5" drives so they're reliable without an insane cost. 4. Went with a cheaper SSD 5. Went with a cheaper, yet still great 750w Gold PSU. Larian Studios is finally ready to say goodbye to Baldur’s Gate 3 with one last update set to go live next Tuesday, April 15. Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 8, as the expansion is called, focuses on three major updates: an additional sub-class for every main class, cross-play between all platforms, and a photo mode. The developer conducted a handful of community stress tests over the last few weeks, and, ignoring that time the entire update accidentally went live on PlayStation 5, it sounds like Patch 8 is finally ready for public consumption. The studio plans to celebrate Patch 8’s release with a special livestream hosted by Larian senior communications developer Aoife Wilson and featuring Baldur’s Gate 3 senior systems designer Ross Stephens, who will provide a detailed look at everything the update has to offer. As Larian Studios won’t be following the 2023 Game of the Year up with Baldur’s Gate 4 — never fear, Hasbro’s already looking for a successor — Patch 8 marks the end of an era for the studio that began all the way back in 2020 when Baldur’s Gate 3 first entered early access.

There's a lot of uproar around the Nintendo Switch 2 and the prices of the console and the games. One particular sticking point is the price of Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, a tech demo that features a few mini-games and a hub area that explains new features in the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. It's like how Astro's Playroom takes players through what's new about the PS5, except Astro's Playroom was free and a full-blown 3D platformer with its mini-tech-demo games weaved into a few incredibly designed platforming levels. Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour doesn't look nearly as clever in its setup, nor do the mini-games look as good as the levels you get in Astro's Playroom. So why is Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour not a free pack-in game with the console? Former Nintendo of America head Reggie Fils-Amié seems to have weighed in on why players are being asked to spend $10 USD on the title, referencing a specific point in his time with Nintendo. Fils-Amié shared a few seemingly pointed clips from an interview with IGN in 2022 when he released his book Disrupting the Game: From the Bronx to the Top of Nintendo. Fils-Amié shared three clips from the nearly 50-minute long interview that centered around how, during the development of the Nintendo Wii, Fils-Amié had to fight for Wii Sports to be a free pack-in game at launch. When he first suggested to Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto that Wii Sports be a free game, Miyamoto pushed back against the suggestion. Fils-Amié goes even further than to say that Miyamoto just 'pushed back,' emphasizing how upset the suggestion made Miyamoto. "It's an understatement to say that Mr. Miyamoto pushed back," Fils-Amié began. "Literally, when I first made this suggestion, Mr. Miyamoto said,' Reggie, Nintendo does not give away software for free. You don't understand how hard our developers work to create compelling content like this.'" Fils-Amié knew that wasn't true because he knew he got free software with his SNES growing up. He continued to argue his case about why he believed Wii Sports should come free with the console, and after its success, he made the same suggestion again with Wii Play, which upset Miyamoto again. Even after the success of Wii Sports being free, he was still very resistant to giving any software away for free alongside hardware. So is Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour a paid title because Fils-Amié wasn't there to convince the rest of Nintendo, Miyamoto included, that they shouldn't charge for it? That's the kind of question we'll never know the answer to. Still, the fact that Fils-Amié chose to share this now three-year-old interview when players are debating and complaining about the cost of everything Nintendo Switch 2, including Welcome Tour, seems to explain the thinking that went into making Welcome Tour a paid title. It also seems to be Fils-Amié pointing to a time when he was right about Nintendo making a piece of software free with the hardware. Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour would have likely benefited the Nintendo Switch 2 by being free, instead of its cost being another addition to the list of complaints players have about Nintendo Switch 2.

Naughty Dog recently announced The Last of Us Complete, which packages The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered together, as well as a Collector’s Edition for it that bundles the Complete package with a steelbook case, American Dreams #1–4 (with new cover art), and four lithographic art prints. Naughty Dog and Sony continuously finding ways to sell The Last of Us’ only two installments is commendable, especially if it is aiding in the developer’s efforts to stretch its legs with a new IP and whatever else it may be at work on, and yet The Last of Us Complete’s titular totality could be an unfortunate omen.
