PS5 Pro launched earlier this month, and though the console sparked widespread backlash in the weeks preceding its release over its price (and whether it even needs to exist), but it seems like that hasnt impacted its initial sales.Thats as per Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, who recently took to BlueSky and shared that the PS5 Pro has got off to a solid start in the United States. Finer details will arrive later, but Piscatella says that the console has sold roughly as much in the region at launch as the PS4 Pro did when it launched in 2016.That does line up with what Sony has said about the consoles performance. The company recently revealed that the PS5 Pros pre-orders were slightly stronger that PS4 Pros pre-orders were. Interestingly, Sony president, CFO, and COO Hiroki Totoki also said the controversy surrounding PS5 Pros pricing has not had a negative impact on its sales. Weve been hearing aboutAssassins Creedsin-development central hub platform,Assassins Creed Infinity,for a while now, and though Ubisoft hasnt revealed too many details in an official capacity yet, the company has issued some clarifications following recent leaks and rumours regarding what players can expected.In a Reddit post, theAssassins Creeddevelopment team has stated that the upcoming Animus Hub which is what its official name is seemingly going to be isnt going to have any paid subscriptions or any paid battle passes (contrary to prior reports), and that all rewards earned in the hub will be completely free. All regular content and missions will also be accessible to players at no additional cost.Several questions are obviously still left unanswered, from how the Animus Hub will tie into the series mainline entries to how it will be monetized, but Ubisoft says more information will be shared closer to the launch of Assassins Creed Shadows.Assassins Creed Shadowslaunches on February 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
