In Vietnam, he announced NVIDIAs collaboration with the countrys government on an AI research and development center and NVIDIAs acquisition of VinBrain, a health technology startup funded by Vingroup, one of Vietnams largest public companies. These events capped a year of global investments in sovereign AI, the ability for countries to develop and harness AI using domestic computing infrastructure, data and workforces. AI will contribute nearly $20 trillion to the global economy through the end of the decade, according to IDC.Canada, Denmark and Indonesia are among the countries that have announced initiatives to develop sovereign AI infrastructure powered by NVIDIA technology. And at the recent NVIDIA AI Summits in India and Japan, leading enterprises, infrastructure providers and startups in both countries announced sovereign AI projects in sectors including finance, healthcare and manufacturing.Supporting Sovereign Cloud Infrastructure in ThailandHuangs Southeast Asia visit kicked off with a meeting with Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, where he discussed the opportunities for sovereign AI development in Thailand and shared memories of his childhood years spent in Bangkok. The pair discussed how further investing in AI education and training can help Thailand drive AI innovations in fields such as weather prediction, climate simulation and healthcare. NVIDIA is working with dozens of local universities and startups to support AI advancement in the country.Huang and Shinawatra met in the Purple Room of the Thai-Khu-Fah building, which houses the offices of the prime minister and cabinet.Huang later took the stage at an AI Vision for Thailand event hosted by SIAM.AI Cloud, a cloud platform company that offers customers access to virtual servers featuring NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs.The most important part of artificial intelligence is the data. And the data of Thailand belongs to the Thai people, Huang said in a fireside chat with Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, CEO of SIAM.AI Cloud. Highlighting the importance of sovereign AI development, Huang said, The digital data of Thailand encodes the knowledge, the history, the culture, the common sense of your people. It should be harvested by your people.Following the conversation, Wongnapachant gifted Huang a custom leather jacket lined with Thai silk. The pair also signed an NVIDIA DGX H200 system in recognition of SIAM.AI Clouds plans to expand its offerings to NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs and NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips.Advancing AI From Research to Industry in VietnamIn Hanoi the next day, Huang met with Vietnams Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and NVIDIA signed an agreement to open the companys first research and development center in the country. The center will focus on software development and collaborate with Vietnams enterprises, startups, government agencies and universities to accelerate AI adoption in the country. The announcement builds on NVIDIAs existing work with 65 universities in Vietnam and more than 100 of the countrys AI startups through NVIDIA Inception, a global program designed to help startups evolve faster. NVIDIA has acquired Inception member VinBrain, a Hanoi-based company that applies AI diagnostics to multimodal health data. While in Vietnam, Huang also received the 2024 VinFuture Prize alongside AI pioneers Yoshua Bengio, Geoffrey Hinton, Yann Le Cun and Fei-Fei Li for their transformational contributions to the advancement of deep learning.Broadcast live nationally in the country, the awards ceremony was hosted by the VinFuture Foundation, a nonprofit that recognizes innovations in science and technology with significant societal impact. Our award today is recognition by the VinFuture committee of the transformative power of AI to revolutionize every field of science and every industry, Huang said in his acceptance speech.Bengio, Huang and LeCun accepted the 2024 VinFuture Prize onstage in Hanoi.Learn more about sovereign AI.Editors note: The data on the economic impact of AI is from IDCs press release titled IDC: Artificial Intelligence Will Contribute $19.9 Trillion to the Global Economy through 2030 and Drive 3.5% of Global GDP in 2030, published in September 2024.

Netflix even has a new animated Christmas comedy, That Christmas, starring Brian Cox as jolly ol St. Nick himself! Theres loads of other new releases on VOD this week, too, like Clint Eastwoods courtroom drama Juror #2.Heres everything new thats available to watch this weekend!New on NetflixThat ChristmasWhere to watch: Available to stream on NetflixGenre: Animated comedyRun time: 1h 31mDirector: Simon OttoCast: Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie WhittakerRichard Curtis new Netflix animated Christmas movie isalmostlikeLove Actuallyfor kids (without, he says, the swearing and nudity). Taking place in a small English town by the sea, That Christmas weaves in a few different storylines, all based on Curtis own picture books: A lonely boy spends a snow day with the schools most hated teacher; a group of children get a parent-free Christmas day that they get to spend their way; and a pair of identical twins with vastly different personalities give Santa pause.MaryWhere to watch: Available to stream on NetflixGenre: Biblical dramaDirector: D.J. CarusoCast: Anthony Hopkins, Noa Cohen, Ido TakoNoa Cohen stars in this biblical drama as Mary of Nazareth, the mother of Jesus Christ. After giving birth to her child, Mary is forced to flee her home to protect her family from Herod (Anthony Hopkins), a vengeful king who views her son as a threat to his insatiable desire to maintain power.KneecapWhere to watch: Available to stream on NetflixGenre:Comedy-dramaRun time:1h 45mDirector:Rich PeppiattCast:Naoise Caireallin, Liam g Hannaidh, JJ DochartaighThis irreverent comedy-drama stars the members of Kneecap, a Belfast-based hip-hop trio of native Irish-speaking rappers, recreating the story of how they met in the early 2010s and started making music. From run-ins with British authorities to their rise to fame across the country,Kneecapis a comedy about the power of music as a form of expression and a means of shaping ones own identity.New on HuluBad Actor: A Hollywood Ponzi SchemeWhere to watch: Available to stream on HuluGenre: DocumentaryRun time: 1h 27mDirector: Joslyn JensenCast: Hannah Elizabeth Alexander, Zach Avery, Emily Beth BeachamThis documentary dives into the wild true story of Zachary Horwitz, an aspiring actor who conned studios out of millions of dollars. First, he paid his way into small roles, then started fabricating contracts, and ultimately ended up getting studios to bankroll nonexistent movies. The movie comes from Joslyn Jensen in her documentary directorial debut.Summer CampWhere to watch: Available to stream on HuluGenre:ComedyRun time:1h 35mDirector:Castille LandonCast:Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Diane KeatonThree lifelong friends (Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Diane Keaton) reunite at the summer camp they attended as children in a reunion for attendees. The sprawling ensemble cast also includes Dennis Haysbert, Eugene Levy, Josh Peck, and Nicole Richie. The ConvertWhere to watch: Available to stream on HuluGenre:Historical dramaRun time:1h 59mDirector:Lee TamahoriCast:Guy Pearce, Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne, Antonio Te MaiohaIn this historical drama, a preacher comes to a remote outpost in New Zealand only to get caught in the middle of a war between Mori tribes. Its based on the 2011 novelWulfby New Zealand author Hamish Clayton.New on MaxBeetlejuice BeetlejuiceWhere to watch: Available to stream on MaxGenre:Comedy horrorRun time:1h 45mDirector:Tim BurtonCast:Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna OrtegaMichael Keaton is back as Betelgeuse, and this time, hes decided to torment poor Lydia Deetzs teenage daughter Astrid (played by Gen Z Goth Queen Jenna Ortega). Winona Ryder and Catherine OHara return for this legacy sequel and all three generations of Deetz women find themselves back in Connecticut on Halloween. Cue supernatural shenanigans! From ourreview:Theres a real sense that the screenwriters left the building after laying down the first hour of the movie, leaving Burton to fill in the rest of his run time with Hey, remember that from the first film? references. The stop-motion sandworms are back. The afterlife-as-hell-bureaucracy gags are back. The broad-shouldered, shrunken-head corpse is back, and now there are a lot more of them. Betelgeuse is still pulling his seen-from-behind face-exploding routine to freak people out. A child choir sings Harry Belafontes Banana Boat (Day-O) in a setting that makes not the slightest lick of sense as anything but a callback. Once again, a big lip-synched musical number is forced on a bunch of unwilling participants. Its the laziest possible way to put together a sequel: nostalgia with only the barest minimal new spin on anything, right up to a climax thats more or less the finale of the first movie with a few old names hastily crossed out and a few new ones scribbled in.New on Apple TV PlusFly Me to the MoonWhere to watch: Available to stream on Apple TV PlusGenre: Rom-comRun time: 2h 12mDirector: Greg BerlantiCast: Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Woody HarrelsonChanning Tatum and Scarlett Johansson star in a period romantic comedy thats set against the possibility of faking the moon landing. Tatum plays the launch director at NASA, whos determined to actually pull off the moon landing; Johansson plays the advertising executive hired to create a failsafe, just in case the moon landing doesnt work out. Tempers flare and sparks fly between the two of them and their vastly different goals.New on Paramount PlusSmile 2Where to watch: Available to stream on Paramount PlusGenre:Supernatural horrorRun time:2h 7mDirector:Parker FinnCast:Kyle Gallner, Naomi Scott, Lukas GageParker Finn returns with a follow-up to his smash-hit horror debut,Smile. Picking up just a week after the events of the previous film,Smile 2centers on Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), a famous pop star recovering from a tragic car accident. When a mysterious curse is inadvertently passed on to her, Skye struggles to retain her sanity as she fights against a parasitic supernatural entity that seeks to devour her from the inside out. From ourreview:Smiledodging the streaming abyss and finding box-office success felt like a miracle, butSmile 2is something even rarer: a horror sequel that outdoes its predecessor in every way. Rather than simply rehashing the original, Parker Finn pushes his clever premise to its logical extreme and builds some incredibly scary scenes to match. In fact, Finn endsSmile 2in a spot that feels like the perfect conclusion to the franchise and the perfect jumping-off point for the career of one of the most exciting horror directors of his generation.New on PeacockSpeak No EvilWhere to watch: Available to stream on PeacockGenre:Psychological horrorRun time:1h 50mDirector:James WatkinsCast:Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, James McAvoyJames Watkins remake of the 2022 Danish horror filmSpeak No Evilstars Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) as Louise and Ben, an American couple vacationing in Italy with their daughter, Agnes. After befriending Paddy (James McAvoy) and Ciara (Aisling Franciosi), a free-spirited British couple also on vacation, Louise and Ben decide to visit the couple after being invited to their farmhouse in the countryside. Its not long, however, before things take a turn for the worse.New on MubiThe Peoples JokerWhere to watch: Available to stream on Mubi USGenre:Parody comedyRun time:1h 32mDirector:Vera DrewCast:Vera Drew, Nathan Faustyn, Kane DistlerThis DC Comics parody follows the story of Vera, a trans woman from Smallville who moves to Gotham City to break into stand-up comedy under the name Joker the Harlequin. Together with her friend The Penguin (Nathan Faustyn), Vera forms an anti-comedy troupe and goes head to head with her abusive partner Mr. J (Kane Distler) and a tyrannical vigilante known as the Batman (Phil Braun). From ourreview:The film isnt entirely a comedy in-joke, however which is good, because the story of Vera/Jokers anti-comedy career is the most straightforward and least memorable aspect of the film. Lengthy discussions about the role of comedians as truth-tellers between Joker and the Penguin are standard stuff for podcasts and documentaries about the art form. Comedic first-person trans coming-of-age narratives, particularly ones where the transition is accomplished by falling into a vat of feminizing hormones, are more rare. Dedicated to mom and Joel Schumacher,The Peoples Jokeris also a sincere exploration of Veras journey toward self-realization, beginning with her childhood as a miserable little girl trapped in a boys body in Smallville.New on AMC PlusChristmas Eve in Millers PointWhere to watch: Available to stream on AMC PlusGenre: Christmas comedy-dramaRun time: 1h 46mDirector: Tyler TaorminaCast: Matilda Fleming, Maria Dizzia, Ben ShenkmanTyler Taorminas Christmas comedy-drama follows the members of the Balsanos, a rambunctious extended family who come together for the final Christmas in their ancestral home. As the night wears on, tensions wear on, too, and the family goes to extreme lengths to make this years holiday one to remember.New to rentExhibiting ForgivenessWhere to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and VuduGenre: DramaRun time: 1h 57mDirector: Titus KapharCast: Andr Holland, John Earl Jelks, Andra DayAndr Holland (Moonlight) stars in painter-filmmaker Titus Kaphars directorial debut as Tarrell, an accomplished painter whose career is rising. • All Strange Inscription photo locations in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
    www.polygon.com
Collect photographs of inscriptions is an objective youll get in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as part of The Stolen Cat Mummy. These are the four Strange Inscriptions that were marked on Crescenzos Map.Our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle guide will show you how to photograph the inscriptions and where to find all four Strange Inscriptions. How to take photos of Strange InscriptionsFinding the inscriptions scattered around the Vatican is one thing, but actually getting the picture Indy wants is a whole other challenge. When you get close to an inscription (or any photo-worthy scene), youll see a camera icon pop up in the upper left corner of your screen. Pressing up on the D-pad equips your camera, and then holding the left trigger brings it to your eye. From there, you just have to frame the photo the way the game wants. Luckily, youve got a guide. Unluckily, the game doesnt explain that guide. When youre looking through the viewfinder, youll see two sets of brackets: one thin and solid white, and the other fuzzy. Your goal is to get them both lined up.If the fuzzy brackets are inside of the solid ones, that means your subject is too small and you need to either get closer or zoom in. If theyre outside, that means the subject is too big and you need to back up or zoom out.Once you get the brackets aligned, youll get a take picture prompt on the screen.Where to find the Strange InscriptionsWith the camera in hand, Indys map will change to include the rough locations of all four of the strange inscriptions youre looking for. The numbers in the image above correspond to the descriptions below.Strange Inscription 1 locationOnce you buy the camera from Ernesto, leave the post office and take a right. Follow the road through the big doors to the next courtyard.Head through the second door on the right its got a gate you can push through. Inside, youll see some hedges that are being trimmed.Head all the way to the back of this area and look to the right to find the first Strange Inscription.Strange Inscription 2 locationHead back out of the hedge area and take a right (heading west). Go through the doors to return to Belvedere Courtyard. Straight ahead of you, therell be a fountain. Loop around to the right side of the fountain to find the next Strange Inscription. In our experience, this one is the trickiest to get framed correctly. Youll probably have to zoom way in, and then take a couple of steps back to get it lined up.Strange Inscription 3 locationFrom the fountain, head to the south end of Belvedere Courtyard. The Blackshirts are building a stage of some sort there. Head to the right side of the stage and sneak around to the back.Use your whip to climb to the top of the scaffolding. When you reach the balcony, turn to the right and follow it over to find Strange Inscription 3.Strange Inscription 4 locationTurn around from Strange Inscription 3 and head to the far side of the balcony. Theres a Blackguard to deal with if hes sitting on the railing, you can always just click the right thumbstick to push him off (its super satisfying). Use your whip to climb the scaffolding. At the top, turn to the right to find an open window. Hop into the hallway there this is where youll find the House of God mystery and continue out a window on the other side. This will bring you to the Borgia Courtyards. Turn right to find more scaffolding to climb.Climb that, and the final Strange Inscription will be a little to the left. For more Indiana Jones and the Great Circle guides, heres how to solve the House of God and Sacred Wounds puzzles.
