  • Fable Reboot Release Delayed To 2026, But Xbox Said Its Definitely Worth The Wait
    cgshares.com
MicrosoftMicrosoft has confirmed that the highly anticipated reboot of the 2004 fantasy RPG Fable will be delayed from the 2025 release window to 2026.The announcement was made by Craig Duncan, the head of Xbox Game Studios, during the latest episode of the Xbox Podcast. This will give more time to the developers at Playground Games, which has been working on the project using the ForzaTech Engine since it was unveiled in 2020 and joined by Eidos-Montral in 2021 as an assistant developer. While I know thats not maybe the news people want to hear, what I want to assure people of is that its definitely worth the wait, Duncan said.Although the release will make fans wait longer, Duncan is very proud and confident in the games quality, saying that he is very excited about the progress that Playground has made. To give more details on what fans could expect from it, he continued:And just what theyre bringing to Fable as a franchise, just think of the visuals of what you expect of Playground games plus amazing gameplay, British humor, Playgrounds version of Albion. So inspired by whats gone before with the franchise but their take, in quite frankly the most beautifully realized version of Albion youve ever seen. While bringing the news of the delay, the podcast also shows new pre-alpha gameplay footage (starting around the 16-minute mark) to give us a look at the games city environments with beautiful varieties, combat mechanics, magical abilities, and more. The smooth transition from cinematic cut scenes to actual fight is quite impressive.Fable reboot will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC when its released in 2026. There was a discussion about whether it would also be launched on PlayStation. While it seems unlikely that it will be available on PS from day one, there is a possibility that it may be released there later, as many Xbox first-party games now take a multiplatform approach.Dont forget to join our80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us onInstagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post Fable Reboot Release Delayed To 2026, But Xbox Said Its Definitely Worth The Wait appeared first on CG SHARES.

  • In a Bid to Focus on DC Comics, Warner Bros. Shuts Down Monolith Productions & Its Wonder Woman Game

What many predicted would happen following the announcement of MultiVersus closure and the $200 million flop that was Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has unfortunately come to pass, as Warner Bros. Games has confirmed its plans to shut down Player First Games, WB Games San Diego, and Monolith Productions, along with the latters open-world action game Wonder Woman, announced in 2021.Initially revealed by Bloomberg, Warner Bros. new strategy comes as a consequence of a series of game releases that underperformed financially and, in the words of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming and Games President and CEO Jean-Briac Perrette, missed the mark. Moving forward, the company plans to refocus the efforts of its gaming division on its biggest IPs, including Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, and DC Comics, primarily Batman the last one feeling particularly odd given the cancellation of the Wonder Woman game, despite her being a DC character.Following the initial report, WB Games responded with an official statement shared with news outlets, confirming the upcoming disbanding of three studios and specifically addressing Monolith the creator of the Middle-earth series, F.E.A.R., and the Nemesis System which many believe was the least deserving of shutdown among the three and certainly less so than Rocksteady, whose disastrous SSKTJLsome view as the main reason for implementing the new strategy in the first place. The development of Monoliths Wonder Woman videogame will not move forward, the statement says. Our hope was to give players and fans the highest quality experience possible for the iconic character, and unfortunately this is no longer possible within our strategic priorities. This is another tough decision, as we recognize Monoliths storied history of delivering epic fan experiences through amazing games. We greatly admire the passion of the three teams and thank every employee for their contributions. While its currently difficult to assess just how devastating the studio closures were for their developers, it can be confirmed that at least some of the employees were let go, including Senior Advanced Technical Artist Caitlyn Trout, Lead World Designer Jason Rost, Design Director UX Mila Pavlin, Advanced Technical Artist Matt Rapelje, Level Designer Grant Ervin, and Senior Game Programmer Erik Rounds, among others.Dont forget to join our80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us onInstagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post In a Bid to Focus on DC Comics, Warner Bros. • Where to go in The Escape for Portal 2
    gamerant.com
Portal 2 is nothing short of a masterpiece. The game looks great, has snappy controls, brilliantly designed puzzles, and its dialog is some of the best in video game history. The game also doesnt pull any punches when it comes to its difficulty. Transitioning from one puzzle to the next prevents players from moving back and forth wondering where to go next. The puzzles are not overly complex, and everything the players do is at their disposal for each room.
