This week I did some work on animation of the player character. The team member in charge of drawing the sprites sent me the template for the player and put them into the Unity animator and got all the animations for the 4 different directions of motion working. All that is left to finish up now is the trigger that will turn keyboard inputs into the different animations. The next step in production will be getting weapon logic and animations working.

  • Where to find novacrystals in Monster Hunter Wilds
    www.polygon.com
Novacrystals are an equipment material in Monster Hunter Wilds. Youll have a chance at collecting them from mining outcrops once you reach High Rank or earn them as rewards for certain High Rank hunts.Youll need novacrystals to forge weapons like the Final Battleaxes and armor like the Gypceros Coil. Our Monster Hunter Wilds guide will tell you where to find novacrystals and how to collect them.Where to find novacrystals in Monster Hunter WildsNovacrystals come from the mining outcrops that you can find everywhere. Youll find them in Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, and the Ruins of Wyveria every region in the game.Mining outcrops appear on your map with a blue icon. Open your map and hit right on the D-pad twice. Scroll down through the filter to look for mining outcrops, use left and right on the D-pad to scroll through the options, and set one as the waypoint for your seikret. You can collect an item three times from each mining outcrop before its exhausted. Mining outcrops refresh every 15 minutes or so. Novacrystals are pretty rare, so you will probably have to check several mining outcrops to find some. You also have a (small) chance of collecting a novacrystal when you destroy the crest of a Gypceros. Finally, novacrystals are a (possible) reward for come High Rank hunts like:Hunting an HR Rey Dau in When the Dust Settles Hunting an HR Nu Udra in Sinister SneerHunting an Arkveld in The Chains of LifeHunting an HR Ajarakan and a gravios in TroublemakersHunting an HR Xu Uu and Guardian Ebony Odogaron in The Struggle to SuriveHow to collect extra mining outcrop resourcesIn Monster Hunter Wilds armors, talismans, and decorations all give you skills. At level 3, the Geologist skill gets you one extra item from mining outcrops per time you interact with them.Equipment like the Geology Charm talisman, Chainmail armor, and Geology Jewel decorations all give you the Geologist skill. For mining outcrops, you only get a benefit at the third level of the skill, so youll need three pieces that give you the skill like the Chainmail Headgear, Armor, and Gloves. The Geologist skill also doesnt add to the number of times you can collect something from a mining outcrop you still only collect three times per visit. It does, however, increase the number of items you pull out with each time you hit Circle/B.To also help you understand Monster Hunter Wilds, we explain how to capture monsters, how to change weapons, provide some Seikret tips, and teach you how layered armor works.

  • Pokmon Go Fuzzy Fighter paid Special Research is it worth it?
    www.polygon.com
Pokmon Go players can buy a Fuzzy Fighter paid Special Research ticket for $8 as part of the Powerful Potential event. The ticket will only be available for purchase from March 5-10, making many wonder: Is this Fuzzy Fighter Special Research worth buying? The answer is complicated, since theres a lot we dont know about Kubfu and the future of Dynamax/Gigantamax. You can get one Kubfu for free from the Might and Mastery research, though if you want a second one, youll need to buy this research.Below, we explain our thoughts behind the value of the Fuzzy Fighter Special Research and we list out all the steps for the research. Is the Fuzzy Fighter Special Research ticket worth it?The short answer is: If you really want a second Kubfu, then yes, it could be worth it, but there are a lot of unknown variables in regards to Kubfus future with Gigantamax.Lets break it down, using prices from the Pokmon Go webstore (as usual) to be as thrifty as possible. The pass costs $8 and theres no $8 coin bundle. Math-ing it out, $8 is roughly 1,100 coins, based on the $10 coin bundle. This pass gives the following rewards:10 Pinap Berries4 Golden Razz Berries4 Silver Pinap Berries20 Pok Balls20 Great Balls20 Ultra Balls1 Incense1 Star Piece5 Hyper Potions5 Revives2 Premium Battle Passes5 Rare CandiesBuying the pass from the webstore also gives you an additional three Rare Candies and three Max Revives. You can only buy a few things from the above list from the in-game shop, and those items total up to 440 PokCoins. That said, of course, you cant buy things like Ultra Balls, Rare Candy, and the special berries, so while they dont have an exact PokCoin value, so youll need to use your own discretion to value those items based on your own needs. As part of the pass, youll also get encounters with Stufful, Teddiursa, Tyrogue, Cubchoo, Pancham, and of course, a second Dynamax Kubfu. If you just want a second Kubfu for your collection, thats a good enough reason to grab this pass. However, if youre big into Max Battles, then its a little more complicated than that and in fact might not be worth it after all.The thing about this Kubfu that has me narrowing my eyes is that I dont really know what the future holds for it yet. The Isle of Armor DLC for Pokmon Sword and Shield revolves its story around Kubfu. You get one, you train it into an Urshifu and then you give it a special soup that allows it to Gigantamax. If you like Max Battles a lot, you will prefer a Gigantamax Urshifu, not one that Dynamaxes. Dynamax Urshifu will very likely be heavily outclassed in stats by Gigantamax Machamp (which should be showing up soon, since it was shown in the season trailer) and you may not want to sink all that hard-to-get candy and Stardust into a critter that will be outclassed by another version of itself down the line.If this second Dynamax Kubfu can be turned into a Gigantamax Urshifu down the line and it remains the only way to get a second Urshifu, then yes, the pass is very much worth it, but we dont know if thatll ever be a thing. That said, we dont know how Niantic is rolling out Gigantamax Urshifu. Will our Dynamax Kubfu drink the magic soup, just like in the mainline game? Will Gigantamax Urshifu be locked behind a raid day event? Its really hard to predict. For all we know, we may not see Gigantamax Urshifu for a long time, as its not even in the games files yet.Fuzzy Fighter Special Research steps and rewardsBelow, we list the full steps and rewards for the Fuzzy Fighter Special Research.Fuzzy Fighter step 1 of 5Catch 30 Pokmon (2 Golden Razz Berries)Collect 500 Max Particles (Stufful encounter)Spin 10 PokStops or gyms (20 Pok Balls)Rewards: 1 Incense, 10 Pinap Berries, 1,000 StardustFuzzy Fighter step 2 of 5Explore 5 km (20 Great Balls)Spin 20 PokStops or gyms (Teddiursa encounter)Power up fighting-type Pokmon 10 times (2 Silver Pinap Berries)Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Pass, 5 Revives, 1,000 XPFuzzy Fighter step 3 of 5Use 10 berries to help catch Pokmon (20 Ultra Balls)Win 3 raids (Tyrogue encounter)Power up water-type Pokmon 10 times (10 Kubfu Candy)Rewards: 1 Star Piece, 5 Hyper Potions, 1,000 StardustFuzzy Fighter step 4 of 5Catch 15 different species of Pokmon (2 Golden Razz Berries)Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket members (Cubchoo encounter)Power up dark-type Pokmon 10 times (10 Kubfu Candy)Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Pass, 5 Rare Candies, 1,000 XPFuzzy Fighter step 5 of 5Earn 5 candies exploring with your buddy (2 Silver Pinap Berries)Make 2 excellent throws (Pancham encounter)Level up a Max Move (10 Kubfu Candy)Rewards: Dynamax Kubfu encounter, 3 Kubfu Candy XL, 1,000 Stardust
