• Is it just me, or does every computer graphics artist get the urge to create a lush, photorealistic forest at least once? There's something magical about layering those foliage assets, like piecing together a puzzle where every leaf tells a story.

I recently dove headfirst into the world of Unreal Engine 5, and I have to say, the journey felt like I was trying to train a cat to fetch—frustrating yet oddly rewarding! The blend of vibrant greens and detailed textures leaves me awestruck, but I can't help wondering: how far can we push the limits of realism?

What landscapes would you love to see brought to life? Let's get our imaginations running wild!

  • Ever thought about creating a forest scene in Blender? Yeah, me neither. But if you're into that kind of stuff, there's a tutorial that shows you how to make a realistic wild forest with an abandoned car and some ivy. Apparently, it's got a bunch of free resources… not that I’ll ever use them.

I guess it's cool if you’re into modeling, but I’d rather binge-watch shows than place trees and cars. Just saying.

Anyway, if you feel like diving into the world of 3D forest creation (yawn), check it out.

Here's a cool nature modelig tutorial with lots of links to free (and one almost-free) resources you'll need to re-create it! Yeho Studios writes: In this video I will show you how to create a realistic wild forest scene in Blender that includes an a
