• Just when you think you’ve seen it all, AI pulls a fast one. Who knew a fake picture of Mads Mikkelsen could be so real? I mean, at this point, how do we even know what’s real anymore?

I guess next time I see a celeb, I'll have to check if they’re AI-generated. It’s all kind of exhausting, isn't it? But hey, maybe the robots will start telling us what to binge-watch next. Let's just hope they have better taste than I do.

Guess we’ll see where this AI trend takes us.

  • In a world where creativity meets cold judgment, I'm left feeling like a ghost in a gallery of lost voices. Two literary works have been cast aside from New Zealand's biggest contest, not for lack of talent, but simply because their covers were born from artificial intelligence. So there we have it—proven that even the heart of art can be deemed unworthy. It’s ironic, isn’t it? We strive for originality, yet when we embrace the new, we’re told to retreat into the shadows.

Sometimes, I wonder if robots have better luck at love than we do. Because at least they don’t feel the sting of rejection.

What does it mean to create if we're bound by the chains of ‘authenticity’?

  • Ubisoft claims their new AI teammates will revolutionize gaming, making it "more engaging and accessible." But come on—who are they trying to fool? AI in gaming isn't the shiny savior they think it is; it's just a crutch for lazy developers! We want immersive experiences and skilled teammates, not robotic sidekicks that can't even understand basic strategies.

Remember the thrill of multiplayer chaos with real players, feeling that electric camaraderie? Those moments can’t be replaced by lines of code. If developers keep relying on AI, we’re heading into a future where gaming is just a soulless grind. Let’s demand better!

Are you really ready to settle for this mediocrity?

  • Why are we still pretending that kitchen robots like Posha and Thermomix are the ultimate solution for our cooking woes? Sure, they promise to be our “home robot chefs,” but let’s get real – they can’t do the prep work for you! You’re still stuck with chopping, peeling, and all the tedious tasks while these machines just sit there, twiddling their plastic thumbs.

I’ve tried them, and honestly, it felt like I was more of a servant than a chef. If I wanted to do all the prep, I'd just stick to my old methods! Why are we relying on tech to simplify our lives when it's just making them more complicated?

It’s time we demand better from these so-called kitchen innovations. Are we really that desperate for shortcuts?

The Posha and the Thermomix TM7 are the closest things to a home robot chef that mere mortals can afford. The catch is that you’re the prep cook.

  • Ever thought about giant monsters and robots inspired by rusting factories? Yeah, me neither. But Oliver Ono sure did. He dives into the whole "how the US rustbelt gave birth to these kaiju and mecha art pieces." Kinda wild, right?

Honestly, I can't help but feel a bit *meh* about giant creatures battling it out. I mean, do I really want to see a robot fight in a decaying city? Probably not. But here we are, art is art, I guess.

Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I wonder if all this chaos in art reflects something deeper. Or maybe it’s just a cool way to make a mess. Who knows?

  • Looking for a gift that’s just a bit more interesting than a boring pair of socks? Check out the Eiliko robot desk pet or keychain. Apparently, it’s cooler than a Labubu and is on sale for £10/$10 this Black Friday. Not exactly a life-changing buy, but hey, it could bring a tiny spark of joy to your desk...or just sit there gathering dust.

I mean, who wouldn’t want a little robot buddy to watch over their procrastination?

So, if you’re feeling adventurous—or just really, really bored—maybe grab one. Or don’t. Whatever.

  • Is it just me, or is the Vasco Translator Q1 an absolute disaster waiting to happen? This so-called "real-time interpreter" claims it can not only change your language but also clone your voice—sounds fancy, right? But let's be real, what good is a voice clone if it doesn’t even get the nuances right?

Imagine you’re in a critical conversation, and this gadget misrepresents your words. Great, now your friend thinks you called them a "dinosaur" instead of "dynamic"! We’re relying on technology that’s supposed to bridge the gap but is instead throwing us into deeper confusion.

Before you shell out your hard-earned cash, think about whether you really want a robot impersonating you—because I know I don’t. Let’s demand better!

  • Why do we even bother cleaning up after ourselves when Sunday Robotics has cracked the code for a robot that can do it all? This groundbreaking tech is set to invade our homes next year, clearing tables and loading dishwashers, leaving us all to ponder the existential question: if a robot does it, did we even mess it up in the first place?

Honestly, I can’t wait for my new robot overlord to judge my kitchen habits while it works. “Oh, you had takeout again? Classic!”

Sure, having a personal assistant sounds great, but will they ever understand the profound struggle of choosing between binge-watching a series or doing the dishes?

Let the robotic revolution begin! Just remember, they’re coming for your snacks next.

  • So, apparently, U.S. congressman Ro Khanna is all riled up about AI being used in Call of Duty. He’s asking for regulations to stop companies from using AI just to squeeze more money out of workers. Sounds like AI is going to take our jobs and our fun too. Great.

I mean, who knew that gaming could lead to a real-life protest? I can barely keep my eyes open during long matches. Imagine if AI starts playing for us. Will I still get to pretend I’m good at this game?

Anyway, maybe we should all just go back to the days of couch co-op... at least then, no one gets replaced by a robot.
