• 1047 Games just decided to "sunset" Splitgate, presumably because who needs fun games when you can save on server costs, right? Their CEO admits he's made "many, many mistakes" – and honestly, at this point, it sounds like a new gaming feature: "Mistake Mode." Maybe next time they’ll consider hiring a consultant instead of relying on “trial and error.” But hey, at least they're trying to retain some team members! Nothing says job security like a good old-fashioned game of musical chairs in the office. Cheers to those bold moves!

  • When you think about horror films, what comes to mind? Creepy monsters? Jump scares? The classic trope of a group of friends who somehow forget that splitting up is a bad idea? Well, hold onto your popcorn, because the talented folks at ESMA are here to remind us that the only thing scarier than a killer lurking in the shadows is the idea of them trying to be funny while doing it.

    Enter "Claw," a short film that dares to blend the horror genre with a sprinkle of humor – because who wouldn't want to laugh while being chased by a guy with a chainsaw? This cinematic masterpiece, which apparently took inspiration from the likes of "Last Action Hero," is like if a horror movie and a stand-up comedian had a baby, and we’re all just waiting for the punchline as we hide behind our couches.

    Imagine a young cinephile named Andrew, who is living his best life by binge-watching horror classics. However, instead of the usual blood and guts, he encounters a version of horror that leaves you both terrified and chuckling nervously. It’s like the directors at ESMA sat down and said, “Why not take everything that terrifies us and add a dash of quirky humor?” Honestly, it’s a wonder they didn’t throw in a musical number.

    Sure, we all adore the suspense that makes our hearts race, but the thought of Andrew laughing nervously at a killer with a penchant for puns? Now that’s a new level of fear. Who knew that horror could provide comic relief while simultaneously making us question our life choices? Forget battling your demons; let’s just joke about them instead! And if you think about it, that’s probably the best coping mechanism we’ve got.

    But beware! As you dive into this horror-comedy concoction, you might just find yourself chuckling at the most inappropriate moments. Like when the killer slips on a banana peel right before going for the kill – because nothing says “I’m terrified” like a comedy skit in a death scene. After all, isn’t that the essence of horror? To laugh in the face of danger, even if it’s through the lens of ESMA’s latest cinematic exploration?

    So, if you’re looking for a good time that sends shivers down your spine while keeping you in stitches, “Claw” is your go-to film. Just remember to keep a straight face when explaining to your friends why you’re laughing while watching someone get chased by a masked figure. But hey, in the world of horror, even the scariest movies can have a light-hearted twist – because why not?

    Embrace the terror, welcome the humor, and prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions with "Claw." After all, if we can’t laugh at our fears, what’s the point?

    Sorting helps organize data in a specific order. It is used in search, reports, and efficient storage. Different sorting algorithms offer different performance. In this article, we will explain the Time Complexity of Sorting Algorithms in simple words. We will cover Python, Java, and C++ examples.
    1. What Is Time Complexity?
    Time complexity tells how fast an algorithm runs. It measures the number of steps as input grows. It is written in Big-O notation. For example, Omeans steps grow with the square of inputs.
    2. Types of Time Complexity
    Here are common types:

    O: Constant time
    O: Linear time
    O: Log-linear time
    O: Quadratic time

    We will now apply these to sorting.
    3. Bubble Sort
    Bubble Sort compares two numbers and swaps them if needed. It repeats until the list is sorted.
    Time Complexity:

    Best Case: OAverage Case: OWorst Case: OPython Example:
    pythonCopyEditdef bubble_sort:
    n = lenfor i in range:
    for j in range:
    if arr> arr:
    arr, arr= arr, arrJava Example:
    javaCopyEditvoid bubbleSort{
    int n = arr.length;
    forforif{
    int temp = arr;
    arr= arr;
    arr= temp;
    }
    }

    C++ Example:
    cppCopyEditvoid bubbleSort{
    forforifswap;
    }

    4. Selection Sort
    This sort picks the smallest number and places it at the front.
    Time Complexity:

    Best Case: OAverage Case: OWorst Case: OPython Example:
    pythonCopyEditdef selection_sort:
    for i in range):
    min_idx = i
    for j in range):
    if arr< arr:
    min_idx = j
    arr, arr= arr, arr5. Insertion Sort
    This algorithm builds the final list one item at a time.
    Time Complexity:

    Best Case: OAverage Case: OWorst Case: OJava Example:
    javaCopyEditvoid insertionSort{
    for{
    int key = arr;
    int j = i - 1;
    while{
    arr= arr;
    j = j - 1;
    }
    arr= key;
    }
    }

    6. Merge Sort
    Merge Sort splits the array into halves and merges them back in order.
    Time Complexity of Sorting Algorithms like Merge Sort is usually better.

    Best Case: OAverage Case: OWorst Case: OPython Example:
    pythonCopyEditdef merge_sort:
    if len> 1:
    mid = len// 2
    left = arrright = arrmerge_sortmerge_sorti = j = k = 0
    while i < lenand j < len:
    if left< right:
    arr= lefti += 1
    else:
    arr= rightj += 1
    k += 1

    arr= left+ right7. Quick Sort
    Quick Sort picks a pivot and places smaller numbers before it.
    Time Complexity:

    Best Case: OAverage Case: OWorst Case: OC++ Example:
    cppCopyEditint partition{
    int pivot = arr;
    int i = low - 1;
    for{
    if{
    i++;
    swap;
    }
    }
    swap;
    return i + 1;
    }

    void quickSort{
    if{
    int pi = partition;
    quickSort;
    quickSort;
    }
    }

    8. Built-in Sort Methods
    Languages have built-in sort functions. These are well-optimized.

    Python: sortedor list.sortuses TimSort

    Time Complexity: OJava: Arrays.sortuses Dual-Pivot QuickSort

    Time Complexity: OC++: std::sortuses IntroSort

    Time Complexity: OThese are better for most real-world tasks.
    9. Time Complexity Comparison Table
    AlgorithmBestAverageWorstStableBubble SortOOOYesSelection SortOOONoInsertion SortOOOYesMerge SortOOOYesQuick SortOOONoTimSortOOOYesIntroSortOOONo
    10. How to Choose the Right Algorithm?

    Use Merge Sort for large stable data.
    Use Quick Sort for faster average speed.
    Use Insertion Sort for small or nearly sorted lists.
    Use built-in sort functions unless you need control.

    Conclusion
    The Time Complexity of Sorting Algorithms helps us pick the right tool. Bubble, Selection, and Insertion Sort are simple but slow. Merge and Quick Sort are faster and used often. Built-in functions are highly optimized. Python, Java, and C++ each have their strengths.
    Understand your problem and input size. Then pick the sorting method. This ensures better speed and performance in your code.

    Connections: Sports Edition is a new version of the popular New York Times word game that seeks to test the knowledge of sports fans. Like the original Connections, the game is all about finding the "common threads between words." And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier—so we've served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.If you just want to be told today's puzzle, you can jump to the end of this article for the latest Connections solution. But if you'd rather solve it yourself, keep reading for some clues, tips, and strategies to assist you.What is Connections Sports Edition?The NYT's latest daily word game has launched in association with The Athletic, the New York Times property that provides the publication's sports coverage. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.Each puzzle features 16 words and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise of anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake—players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.

This comes from a tight satin weave that leaves a shiny look without compromising a smooth hand feel. While you can find this bedding in elevated spaces like this vibrant West Village town house thanks to embroidered touches and traditional prints, they’re surprisingly versatile and come in many forms. Here, our editors dive into their favorites for their bedrooms. Since you can find many in higher thread counts though, these are durable enough for any room in the house—as seen in this family-friendly getaway.Inside this ArticleBest Overall Sateen Sheets1/8Boll & Branch Signature Hemmed Sheet SetBoll & Branch caught commerce director Rachel Fletcher’s attention when she was browsing for new sheets for a few reasons. One: The brand makes organic and fair trade sheets: Two: She loves a sateen weave, and the retailer mentioned that this set was their bestseller and she wanted to see what the hype was about. “Boll & Branch claims that these cotton sateen sheets are buttery soft, and I definitely agree,” Fletcher says. “That extra-soft feel paired with the lovely, cooling properties make them feel like the luxury sheets that they are.” Along with an earthy color paletteand thoughtful hem detailing, this set stood out to be our top pick. These do have a higher price point, but as some of the plushest sheets she’s slept on, Fletcher thinks they’re worth it.Specs:Material: 100% organic cottonThread count: N/ASizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, King With Std.
