Neither he nor a company spokesperson responded to a request for comment in time for publication.X recently added other engineering leadership: Mike Dalton and Uday Ruddaraju, both previously technical leads at Robinhood, joined in January. • The Secretlab Spring Sale Starts Now: Save on the Best Gaming Chairs of 2025
    www.ign.com
The Secretlab Spring Sale kicks off today with savings up to $119 off Secretlab's popular Titan line of gaming chairs, Magnus gaming desks (including the Magnus Pro electric standing desk model), and accessories like the Secretlab Skins upholstery covers, desk mats, cable management, and more. It's no secret that we love our Secretlab gaming chairs. Two of the six chairs in our best gaming chair roundup are Secretlab models. Of all the gaming chairs we covered in our "Budget to Best" roundup video earlier this year, my colleague Akeem Lawanson considered the Secretlab Titan Evo to be the most comfortable. No good chair comes cheap and Secretlab chairs definitely cost a premium, but we think the craftsmanship, materials, and customizability are worth it.TL;DR - The 7 Best Secretlab Deals Secretlab Titan EvoSecretlab Titan 2020Secretlab Titan Evo LiteNew ReleaseSecretlab Titan Evo Nanogen EditionNew ReleaseSecretlab Titan Recliner Add-On$199.00 at SecretlabFixed Gaming DeskSecretlab MagnusElectric Standing DeskSecretlab Magnus ProYou can quickly browse through all of the listed products on sale above. For more information on each product and why they are worth your consideration, read through below.Secretlab Titan EvoSecretlab Titan EvoThe Titan Evo starts at $499 during the sale. This is Secretlab's flagship chair and it's available in small, medium, and large sizes. Upholstery options include Neo Hybrid leatherette, SoftWeave Plus fabric, or premium Napa leather. The chair features cold-cure foam upholstery for the seat, a supportive four-way lumbar system, full length backrest with 165 degrees of recline, full metal 4D armrests with magnetically attached PU cushions, and a memory foam headrest pillow.Aside from the build quality, the Titan Evo also stands out thanks to the sheer number of officially licensed designs from popular video games, TV shows, and more. Some of the more popular examples include The Witcher, Overwatch, Attack on Titan, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Game of Thrones. They generally cost more than the standard colors, but they're worth it if you're looking for that extra personal touch. In our Secretlab Titan Evo review, Chris Coke wrote that "after two years of daily use, the Secretlab Titan Evo has proven that it can stand the test of time and still be one of the best gaming chairs you can buy. Meaningful ergonomics paired with Secretlabs wide selection of designs, it remains a fantastic option, especially for fans of bright colors or designs."Secretlab Titan 2020Secretlab Titan 2020The prior model Titan 2020 gaming chair is available for $474, which is $45 less than the base model Titan Evo. The Titan 2020 is still an excellent chair and not much different than the current Evo model. In fact, outside of an upholstery change (the PU leather has been updated with Neo Hybrid Leatherette), the changes are mostly cosmetic. You are limited to fewer design options, so if you want to build out something that's truly unique, you might want to splurge a bit extra for the current generation Titan Evo model.Secretlab Titan Evo LiteSecretlab Titan Evo LiteAmong the Titan chairs, the Evo Lite is definitely the best value with its starting price tag of $419, or a full $100 less than the base model Titan Evo. It's built upon the same frame as the Titan Evo and has the same core features like the cold-cure foam cushioning, lumbar, 165 degrees of recline, and 4D armrests. What it compromises on is customization, with "only" two upholstery options, two sizes, and five colors, a non-adjustable lumbar system, simpler arm rests, and no included head rest. If none of these tradeoffs bother you, then you'll be saving quite a bit of money.Secretlab Titan Evo Nanogen EditionNew ReleaseSecretlab Titan Evo Nanogen EditionAlthough the Titan Evo Nanogen Edition isn't on sale, it deserves mention simply because this is our top pick for the best gaming chair. In our Titan Evo Nanogen Edition review, Chris Coke wrote that "the Secretlab Titan Evo Nanogen Edition deserves every bit of the overwhelming praise Ive given. Granted, at $799 its significantly more expensive than the original and not far off from an entry-level Herman-Miller. But the return it offers in comfortable, supportive gaming is well worth the extra cost thanks to dramatically improved materials in both the fabric and multi-layered padding. The Titan Evo Nanogen Edition is class-leading, and is hands-down the most comfortable gaming chair Ive ever used."Secretlab Titan Recliner Add-OnNew ReleaseSecretlab Titan Recliner Add-On$199.00 at SecretlabSecretlab's new recliner add-on is available for anyone who already owns the Titan Evo chair. In our recliner add-on review, Chris Coke wrote that "while both comfort and value are subjective things, the recliner is able to take the Titan Evo and transform it from one of the best racing style gaming chairs to standing head and shoulders above the competition at its price point. Its novel enough that I wouldnt be surprised to see other brands following suit in the near future. If you dont mind paying for it, its an absolutely killer upgrade for your gaming chair."Secretlab Magnus and Magnus ProFixed Gaming DeskSecretlab MagnusElectric Standing DeskSecretlab Magnus ProThe Magnus and Magnus Pro are also on sale during Cyber Monday. The Magnus is a traditional fixed-frame gaming desk while the Magnus Pro ups the ante with a custom designed electric standing desk frame for an additional $250. Both desks feature an all-metal desktop surface, solid steel legs and cleverly thought out areas for cable management, but the Magnus Pro has some really unique features including a power cable that runs internally inside one of the telescoping legs and an in-line control panel that you won't bump into.In our Secretlab Magnus Pro review. Mark Knapp writes that "the Secretlab Magnus Pro is a fantastic desk, bringing the brilliant cable management solutions of the original Magnus to a fast, quiet, and wide-ranging motorized standing desk. The desk is built well and proves an excellent platform for work and play alike. Its an expensive desk though, and for the money, it would have been nice to see a smarter safety mechanism for the motors and the desk mat included. Still, the overall quality you get is a big step up from cheaper standing desks, and the optional accessories truly enhance the experience. Anyone whos not committed to a standing desk should save their money and go for the standard Magnus if everything else about this model sounds good, but for gamers who love a tidy desk and want the flexibility of a standing desk, the Magnus Pro should be the first they consider."PlayWhy Should You Trust IGN's Deals Team?IGN's deals team has a combined 30+ years of experience finding the best discounts in gaming, tech, and just about every other category. • The AirPods Pro and AirPods 4 Earbuds Are Both on Sale Today at the Lowest Prices of the Year
    www.ign.com
Apple's newest AirPods are all on sale ahead of the big Amazon Spring Sale that starts tomorrow. Starting with the highest end model, the second generation Apple AirPods Pro wireless noise-canceling earbuds is $169.99 shipped (normally $240). The next step down, the Apple AirPods 4 with ANC (active noise cancelation) is down to $149.99 (normally $179). Finally, the value-packed AirPods 4 without ANC drops to $99.99 (normally $129). iPhone users, these are without a doubt the best earbuds to pair with your smartphone.Apple AirPods Pro for $169.99Apple AirPods Pro 2 with USB-CThe AirPods Pro is the best-sounding "truly wireless" earbuds for iPhone users thanks to its passively isolating in-ear design combined with excellent active noise cancelation, low-distortion driver and amp, and the Apple H2 chip. It also has useful features like Adaptive Transparency Mode, which lets you better hear your surroundings without removing your earbuds, and Conversation Mode, which automatically enhances the voices of people you're talking to. The second generation AirPods Pro replaces the Lightning port with a more universal USB Type-C port so you don't have to mix and match cables, and also includes a MagSafe charging case as standard.Save Over $40 Off the New Apple AirPods 4Apple AirPods 4Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise CancelationThe Apple AirPods 4 was released on September, 2024 in two variants: both models are mostly identical with the exception of the noise canceling functionality on the more expensive one. The AirPods 4 features several updates over the AirPods 3 which brings it in-line with modern day standards. These improvements include the newer Apple H2 chip (vs H1), Bluetooth 5.3 support (vs Bluetooth 5.0), better IP54 resistance rating which now protects against dust intrustion (vs IPX4), USB Type-C (vs Lightning), and replacement of the skin detect sensor with a more reliable optical in-ear sensor.Should you get the AirPods Pro over AirPods 4 with ANC?The AirPods Pro is a superior earbud, which is why it retails for $70 more than the AirPods 4 ANC. Both feature active noise cancelation, but the AirPods Pro produces better sound quality and more effective noise canceling because of its design. The AirPods 4 ANC is an open-ear style earbud with non-adjustable tips. They're designed to sit right outside of the ear which while comfortable means you get plenty of sound leakage and ambient noise intrusion. On the other hand, the AirPods Pro is an in-ear style of earbud that sits right inside your ear canal, sealing the passage and passively isolating it from the ambient air. Adjustable tips are included to accomodate different sized ears and ensure you get that proper sealing fit, which is very important to squeeze out the best performance. At this price, the only compelling reason to still go for the AirPods 4 ANC is if you don't like the intrusive nature of in-ear style earbuds in general. Why Should You Trust IGN's Deals Team?IGN's deals team has a combined 30+ years of experience finding the best discounts in gaming, tech, and just about every other category. • Heres What Happens When Cats Rule a Renovation
    www.housebeautiful.com
Interiors of a StorytellerNow 10% Off$50 $45 at WalmartMy clients, Eric and Eileen Evans, love their animals and at last count were the parents of two cats, Olive and Hazel, and a rambunctious golden retriever named Waffles. By Nashville standards, their home, a 1930s bungalow, is not huge, so using every square inch was very important. Its in Richland Park, a historic neighborhood filled with modest-sized, character-filled homes. Sidewalks line the streets, and every Halloween they host a huge, neighborhood-wide pumpkin-carving contest. Both young attorneys and somewhat newly married, the Evans were a delight to work with from the beginning. The animals were considered in most of our conversations, including the design of the upholstered window bench in the formal living room (the perfect cat perch). The cats were cats and pretty much hated us from the start, proving it by scratching out the bottom of a brand-new upholstered ottoman shortly after install. But not Waffles. Waffles was our best friend and constant companion, whether we liked it or not. FAST FACTSStephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior DesignerDesigner: Location: Nashville, TennesseeThe space: A 1930s bungalow gut renovated and expanded by architect Michael WardThe cats were cats and pretty much hated us from the start, proving it by scratching out the bottom of a brand-new upholstered ottoman.SITTING ROOMIt needed to be a feminine gathering spot. Joseph BradshawJoseph BradshawEileen envisioned this as a space to host book club meetings. No stranger to book clubs, I cannot imagine a better spot to host. The entire room wraps tightly around the original fireplace. Its charming scale is something you rarely find in new-construction homes. When the contractor suggested striping off the ornate details, I looked at the client over the brim of my Covid mask with a look that said, Its him or me. The custom-framed intaglios mounted on hand-made marbleized paper are sourced from our Nashville-based retail shop, Heirloom Artifacts.Joseph BradshawThe fanciest cat bench in all of Nashville. Seriously, try and sit down, they will audibly say in a Forrest Gumpaccent, Seat taken. Ask Jessica from my officethese are not normal cats.KITCHEN & DININGNew architectural details create character.Joseph BradshawWe kept the newer, open area of the home fairly neutral. I explain our approach to design and color like going from a hot bath to a cold pool. You do not appreciate one without the other. This example of moving from the saturated green sitting room to the airy neutrals is a good example of that concept. Joseph BradshawFAMILY ROOMThis pattern-filled space is still calming.Joseph BradshawAs I mentioned above with the selection of the dining table, Eileen loves ovals. We landed on a custom oval plaster table for the family room, and I love the way the two shapes, in very different materials, play off each other. LAUNDRY ROOMIt needed to cater to all family members.Joseph BradshawTheres built-in litter-box cabinet for Olive and Hazel on the right. On the left, the cat door allows them to go and hang out on the screen porch whenever they choose.OFFICEA moody contrast to the sitting room.Joseph BradshawErics office is off the sitting room, connected by a set of French doors. I love the abutting mix of feminine and masculine spaces. PRIMARY BEDROOMPerformance fabrics will grow with the family.Joseph BradshawWe love using polyester velvet for high-use upholstery pieces. After raising four toddlers with a pair of chairs in the same fabric, its a material I can personally vouch for.Joseph BradshawSister Parishs Burmese fabric used on the bed is a favorite of ours for scale and versatility.PRIMARY BATHROOMIts a mix of antiques and modern fixtures.Joseph BradshawAgain, with the antique mirrors. Cant stop, wont stop.GUEST BEDROOMThe rooms have color themes, like at an inn.Joseph BradshawThe Evans hosted many of their young friends for long weekends and wanted the second floor to have a bed-and-breakfast vibe. We chose different wall coverings and trim colors for each space to really ring in the individuality, imagining guests saying, I call the purple room! Most of my colleagues had sworn off all shades of purple when I designed this room, still recovering from the obsession with Monicas apartment in Friends. So, this space looks sweet, but its also kind of rebellious.GUEST BATHROOMTheres a sweet sentiment behind its design.Joseph Bradshaw This sweet guest bath was designed for our clients late mother, and I will always think of her and how much thoughtful care they put into creating a space that she would love.BATHROOMBlue walls set off the brass finishes.Joseph Bradshaw I found this antique sconce from an online antique dealer in France.About the DesignerStephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior Design is a House Beautiful Next Wave designer who has also been named to Traditional Homes New Trad and been featured in Veranda, Southern Living, and The Wall Street Journal, among other publications. • SwitchBot expands Home Assistant support, with added value for HomeKit users
    9to5mac.com
SwitchBot has quietly built a solid lineup of smart home products, including curtain motors, door locks, and robot vacuums. Last week, the company announced plans to expand support for Home Assistant, with more than 45 devices gaining support in the first half of 2025. For Home Assistant users, thats big news. But for HomeKit fans, the real benefit continues to be Matter support, which helps bring SwitchBot gear into HomeKit in a reliable and easy-to-manage way. Many of SwitchBots newer devices already work with Matter through the SwitchBot Hub 2, which connects Bluetooth products to Wi-Fi and allows them to appear in the Home app. This unlocks the ability to control many of SwitchBots products within HomeKit, add them to scenes, and include them in automation. What is Home Assistant?Home Assistant is a local smart home platform that gives you full control over your devices without relying on the cloud. Its open-source and runs on hardware like a Raspberry Pi, an always on Mac, etc which lets you create custom automations and dashboards tailored to your setup. For Apple users, it can work alongside HomeKit using Matter or integrations like Homebridge, adding flexibility for devices that might not be natively supported. Its ideal for anyone who wants more control and privacy in their smart home.SwitchBot, Matter, and youThe expanded Home Assistant support doesnt change how Matter works in HomeKit, but it shows that SwitchBot is investing in platform flexibility. If you use both Home Assistant and HomeKit in the same home, this update makes mixing and matching devices easier while still managing everything from a single interface. In my experience, SwitchBots Matter-compatible devices fit HomeKit well. Theyve been super reliable for me. The Curtain 3 and Blind Tilt are simple ways to add automation to window coverings without swapping out hardware. The SwitchBot Lock can easily retrofit an existing deadbolt and work in the Home app just like any native HomeKit lock.Wrap upWith the growing support for Matter and now Home Assistant, its clear that SwitchBot wants to be known as a smart home brand that works well with other platforms. Thats good news for HomeKit users who want flexibility without overhauling their entire setup. I am particularly a fan of the Smart Switch Button Pusher, which is the type of product that makes SwitchBot a unique product lineup.Add 9to5Mac to your Google News feed. • Hackers Build Robot That Launches Gum Directly Into Your Mouth
    futurism.com
Clever engineers at a Chinese video company called HTX Studio built a tiny, swiveling robot that can shoot pieces of gum right into your mouth. In a video that made the rounds on social media over the past week, one of the company's engineers can be seen triggering the robot's ability just by opening his mouth wide."This is our gum-launching robot, Gummy," a voiceover says. "It tracks your mouth and shoots gum when you open your mouth.""Place him on a table and colleagues passing by can take a gum by opening their mouths," the voiceover adds. "He even does long-distance shots for fun."It's a deceptivelyclever piece of engineering that fires off pieces of gum at a surprising degree of accuracy and speed. Even flicking some candy across a sizable room into a small cup is a breeze. As demonstrated in the video, it can even strike one piece of gum in mid-air with a second piece. The little invention had users on social media salivating."I want one I would probably choke on gum within a week but let's go!" one Reddit user joked.Another user pointed out the potential risk of having a robot react to you simply opening your mouth."Then you open your mouth gasping for air, and this thing just keeps shooting pieces of gum into it," another user ruminated.Other than Gummy, HTX has also built an entire robotized assembly line for origami birds, as well as a gun that can shoot small hoops for a high-stakes game of ring ross.Sure, the company's latest invention isn't about to pull off some gnarly kung fu moves or pick up dirty socks but it's a delightful robot companion nonetheless."I'm afraid I would buy this immediately," one Reddit user admitted.Others were far more concerned about similar tech being used to shoot deadly projectiles instead of pieces of gum.If they can apply this to gum launching, they can apply it to [close-in weapon systems] or anti-drone technology," one user wrote. And if the grim robot that can respond to ChatGPT queries to aim and fire a rifle at terrifying speeds and accuracy is anything to go by, that fear may be warranted.More on robots: Bonkers Video Shows Boston Dynamics Robot BreakdancingShare This Article
