• Street Fighter Movie Loses Release Date After Finding New Director
    www.gamespot.com
Movie company Sony Pictures has announced that the Street Fighter movie has been removed from its release schedule--but this doesn't necessarily mean the movie is no longer happening. The Street Fighter movie was originally lined up to release on March 20, 2026, but now it's completely off Sony's calendar. It's a somewhat unexpected move, as a new director, Kitao Sakurai, just came aboard in late February, replacing the previous co-directors, the Philippou brothers. That development might have signaled the movie was making progress, and perhaps it still is. As Variety pointed out, the Street Fighter movie could be rescheduled and eventually released, but as for now, it has no release date.Continue Reading at GameSpot

  • Assassin's Creed Shadows: Parkour's Loss Is Stealth's Gain
    gamerant.com
While the Assassin's Creed series has long been known for its stealth gameplay, it hasn't always put stealth at the forefront particularly in its modern era. Since Assassin's Creed Origins, the series has leaned more into open, real-time action than it had previously, largely leaving its iconic stealth system in the dust. However, that is precisely where the latest entry, Assassin's Creed Shadows, shines the brightest, as it has reimagined the series' stealth system to be more fulfilling, engaging, and rewarding than ever before, with more realistic encounters and increased challenge as a result.

  • All Kabukimono locations and rewards in Assassins Creed Shadows
    www.polygon.com
The Kabukimono is a quest in Assassins Creed Shadows that you can pick up once you reach Amagasaki in western Settsu. You can technically (accidentally) start the quest and board on your Objectives menu before you officially pick up the quest if you bump into any of the Kabukimono. The actual quest starts when you speak to a monk named Shinnyo and he tells you about some troublesome ronin disrupting the social harmony. Our Assassins Creed Shadows guide will tell you how to find all Kabukimono locations and what rewards youll get for doing so.How to start The Kabukimono in Assassins Creed ShadowsThe Kabukimono has its own Objectives board, but its also a part of the People of Settsu Objectives board. That quest is also named The Kabukimono, and youll pick it up from a priest named Shinnyo.Youll find him along the westernmost edge of Settsu in Nishinomiya Shrine Town straight west of Amagasaki Castle. Hes standing right at the entrance to Nishinomiya Shrine Town. When you speak to him, hell explain why the Kabukimono are dangerous and why he wants them dealt with. There are a total of eight Kabukimono to find in Assassins Creed Shadows. Youll be able to deal with five of them in Settsu, but the remainder will have to wait until you reach Harima. In Settsu, youll find:Chief CuckooThe Ghost GeneralEmberGrave DancerBig SuekiWhen you reach Harima, you can find:Corrupt BladeLaughing ManPeacockBelow, well show you where to find all Kabukimono targets in Assassins Creed Shadows, plus details about what rewards youll get for each of them. Also note that partway through the mission, you have a choice about whether or not you want to contact the remaining members to make the quest go faster (but also more difficult).Where to find Chief CuckooChief Cuckoo is in Settsu, last seen in Katano, and involved in oil trading. Conveniently, theres a Katano Oil Trading enemy base in Katano. (Katano is also where youll pick up The Butterfly Collector quest.) Youll find him in that hostile area. If youre lucky, youll spot him near some explosive barrels.Youll get the Prancing Naginata and the Damage After Dodge engraving for killing him.Where to find The Ghost GeneralYour Objective board notes say that The Ghost General stalks the shores of western Settsu and disrupts incoming shipments of goods. Thats your clue to look at Sakai specifically the Port of Sakai near the Money Changer District. Youll find him wandering around the long pier of the Port of Sakai or the market stalls nearby. When you kill him, youll get the Kabukimonos Greed katana and the Adrenaline on Multiple Enemies engraving.Where to find EmberThe Kabukimono named Ember is in Settsu, southwest of Osaka Castle, and can be found near burnt buildings. Youll find him in southwestern Osaka near the Fishermans District (which is an area youll explore looking for origami butterflies for The Butterfly Collector.) Ember has his own little camp that is conveniently full (like, more than is reasonable) of explosive barrels.Youll get the Spark of Ember teppo and Armor Piercing on Consecutive Hits engraving when you kill him.Where to find Grave DancerGrave Dancer gets a pretty straightforward set of clues for his location. Hes in Settsu, in Osaka (actually a bit southeast of Osaka), at the Sumiyoshi Shrine. Youll find him hanging out at the shrine with a ronin buddy, but the temple itself isnt hostile. The reward for killing him is the Widowers Solace katana and the Buildup on Consecutive Kills engraving.Where to find Big SuekiWe saved Big Sueki for last because he is biggest pain to take out. Hes in Settsu, north of Amagasaki Castle, at an inn. Youll find him in the eastern part of the Muko Post Town area. Finding him isnt the hard part its that he and his four ronin are all in a confined area and you cant really take him out stealthily. We had the most luck with tossing a smoke bomb into the garden, taking out Big Sueki quickly, and then running away. Even if you cant take him out in one shot, hit-and-run is the way to go here the numbers just arent on your side.Youll get the Tactless Parley katana and the Damage with Affliction engraving.Should you contact the Kabukimono? After you kill your fifth Kabukimono, youll have a choice to make. You can leave a message at the shrine in Nashinomiya Shrine to call in the remaining three Kabukimono, or track them down one by one throughout Harima. What you do here really comes down to how you fight them.Hunt the leaders one by one if you prefer a slower, sneaky, assassination-heavy approach.Gather them together if you want a big fight with multiple Kabukimono all at the same time.If you gather them together, youll find them at lumber camp in southeastern Harima, southeast of Takagi Kofun and a good ways north-northeast of Kakogawa Estuary. Youll still have a chance at some stealthing, but theyll all be fairly high level and, chances are, itll end up in an all-out brawl. If, instead, you want to tackle them one at a time, read on. Well also detail the rewards for each of the remaining Kabukimono below.Where to find Corrupt BladeYoull find Corrupt Blade in southeastern Harima, southwest of Miki in Habayama Camp. Hes a bit hard to get to since hes in a hostile camp with several ronin. If you take them out carefully, you can whittle down his support until youre only fighting him.Killing him gets you the Kabuki Corruptor long katana and the Ration on Kill engraving.Where to find Laughing ManYour objectives will say that Laughing Man is in Harima, in eastern Mount Kasagata, in a camp near a cascade. Youre looking for Blackstone Cascades to the east of Lovers Lake in north central Harima. His camp is small just him and a buddy and there is a big, convenient tree hanging over the top. Use that to assassinate him.Youll get the Flight of the Ubagabi trinket and the Adrenaline Gain for Kusarigama Mastery engraving.Where to find PeacockYoull find Peacock far in the north(west) of Harima near (north of) Mount Kasagata, and near the border of Tamba. Hell be right along the main road leading north through Harima, so hes pretty easy to reach. Hell be standing near a bridge leading across the border.Kill him for The Sleight of Hand bow and the Buildup with Backstab engraving.Kabukimono rewardsAll thats left is to head back to Shinnyo at Nishinomiya Shrine Town to talk and claim your 5,500 XP.For more Assassins Creed Shadows guides, see our running lists of Lost Pages, Kuji-kiri, and armor locations. • Makino Kurumazuka kofun walkthrough in Assassins Creed Shadows
    www.polygon.com
Makino Kurumakuka Kofun is a kofun in Assassins Creed Shadows, located in the northern tip of the Izumi Settsu province. Like all kofun in Shadows, its a poorly lit series of tunnels thats extremely easy to get lost in, but if you navigate it successfully, youll get rare gear.In this Assassins Creed Shadows guide, well show you how to enter Makino Kurumazuka Kofun, alongside a full walkthrough of the dungeon and details about the rewards you get.How to enter Makino Kurumazuka KofunMakino Kurukazuka Kofun is in the Yawata Plains subregion of Izumi Settsu. Its due east across the river from Takatsuki and north of the Bamboo Cutters Watchtower synchronization point.Note that you cannot enter Makino Kurumazuka Kofun until youve unlocked Yasuke. And youll also need to play as Yasuke to complete the Kofun. To the left of the stairs leading to Makino Kurumazukas entrance, youll see an explosive barrel, which you can only lift while playing as Yasuke.Pick it up, bring it down the stairs, place it next to the collapsed boulders at the end of the tunnel, and then use Yasukes bow or teppo gun to shoot the barrel. (You can also hit explosive barrels with a melee weapon when standing next to them. Though youll take damage, since Makino Kurumazuka isnt a combat zone, youll automatically heal back to full health throughout the dungeon.)Makino Kurumazuka Kofun walkthroughIn the first room, grab the chest on your left, then take the tunnel to your right. Push the giant crate forward, then take the stairs on your right to a tunnel that leads to the next room.In this room, pull the giant crate back, revealing another tunnel. Follow that tunnel as far as it goes, until you end up going up some stairs and into a room with two explosive barrels on the left and a pile of boulders on the right. You know what to do.Once the wall is exploded, go back and grab the second explosive barrel, then bring it up the stairs to your left. At the top of the ledge, youll see another cluster of boulders blocking the way to the next room. Place the barrel, blow it up, move into the next tunnel, and go right. In the next room, youll stumble upon a pond with a slate ledge hanging over it. Swim across the pond, then follow the tunnel until it loops around to a room overlooking the room with the pond you were just in.To your right, behind some crates, youll find some explosive barrels (thin arrow in the image above). Grab one, then jump across the gap while holding it and use it to explode the cluster of boulders on the far wall (thick arrow). In the next tunnel, go left, though note that youll need to go prone to fit through the gap. Take that tunnel as far as it goes. When you reach the next room, youll see a tightrope, but itll snap if you try to walk on it. Either way, drop down, then take the route to your right. In this room, youll find a giant crate. Pull it backward in the room with the tightrope, then move it left so its flush with the ledge on the other side. Use it to climb up to the ledge. Follow the stairs and tunnel to the final puzzle of Makino Kurumazuka Kofun.First, pull out the crates to your left. This will reveal a tunnel. Follow it until it loops around to a small chamber on the right side of the room.In this chamber, move both boxes right, starting with the right one first. Then grab the explosive barrel and bring it into the main part of the room, but dont do anything with it yet! Set it on the ground in a safe spot where you wont accidentally blow it up.Move the boxes so theyre situated like the image above. Then hop along the stairs, boxes, and bamboo shelf to reach the far side. At the far side, youll need to throw the barrel across the gap before jumping across (Yasuke cant jump this gap while holding it). But once you use it to explode another pile of boulders, youll be able to follow the tunnel thats revealed to a chamber with reward of Makino Kurumazuka Kofun.Makino Kurumazuka rewardsFor completing Makino Kurumazuka Kofun, youll get a knowledge point, 1,000 XP, and the Blush of the Earth legendary bow, a weapon that can be equipped by Yasuke. Its perk extends the Clear Mind ability which slows down time for 10 second when aiming a bow by an additional five seconds. For more Assassins Creed Shadows guides, see our running lists of Lost Pages, Kuji-kiri, and armor locations. • Oura Ring Chargers Are Nearly Half Off Right Now
    lifehacker.com
We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication. One of my biggest pet peeves about the Oura ring platform is getting some temporary relief, thanks to Amazons spring sale. Chargers for the gen 4 ring (the newest model) are available for $35.40 today, so you can pick up a spare for close to half the usual price. Oura Ring 4 Charger $35.40 at Amazon $59.00 Save $23.60 Get Deal Get Deal $35.40 at Amazon $59.00 Save $23.60 And, yep, the usual price for an Oura charger is a whopping 59 bucks. The old gen 3 chargers dont fit the new gen 4 rings, and the chargers are also sized: If you have a size 8 ring, you need a size 8 charger. And there arent third-party chargers for the gen 4 rings, so the official Oura ones are your only option. Hence my griping about the price. But now, at $35.40? Thats still not cheap, but its a lot better than full price. Your ring will have come with one charger, but its handy to have a spare so you can keep one at your work desk and one on your nightstand, or to keep an extra in your travel drawer. The Oura ring lasts most of a week on each chargeup to eight days, according to the company, although I found I only got about five days between charges with blood oxygen sensing turned on. That also accounts for charging the ring when it falls to 20% battery, which is the app's recommendation to be sure it won't run out of juice while you sleep. The fourth generation Oura ring has a good reason for not fitting the old chargers, by the waythe old rings had three sensor bumps on the inside, where the gen 4 has finally managed to fit its technology into a smooth interior that fits like a normal ring. So the ring is a different shape on the interior, and the sizing has also changed. For more on the differences between the gen 3 and gen 4 Oura rings, I have a detailed comparison here. Ive also worn three different generations of the ring over the past four years, and I wrote a retrospective here with all my thoughts on how Ive used my ring over the years, and where it has and hasnt lived up to my expectations.Shopping for tech? • This Is the Cheapest I've Ever Seen an Oura Ring
    lifehacker.com
We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.Act fast if you want to pick up an Oura ring on a steep discountsome of them are available today for just $199 in Amazon's spring sale. Im seeing this deal on gen 3 rings in the Heritage shape, and silver or black colors. Oura Ring Gen 3 $199.00 at Amazon $249.00 Save $50.00 Get Deal Get Deal $199.00 at Amazon $249.00 Save $50.00 This ring is a third-generation, or gen 3, ring. Its not Ouras newest, but it is still a solid pick with all the same core features as the newer gen 4. I have a comparison here of the gen 3 and gen 4 rings, if youd like to know what youre missing. The gen 4 gathers the same data but is sometimes more accurate, comes in a wider range of sizes, and has a smooth interior rather than the sensor bumps of the gen 3. Personally, Ive worn both, but as Im typing this I have a gen 3 ring on my fingerits absolutely fine. (You can read more about my long-term experiences with the Oura rings here.)The $199 rings are the flat-topped Heritage style, in silver or black. (Other colors cost more.) As of the time I'm writing this, the deal is available for all sizes, from 6 to 13. If you want the smooth Horizon model, those are available for $249, which is also a good price. Ever since the gen 4 rings launched in late 2024, the gen 3 rings have been at least $50 off their original price (which was $299 and up, with Heritage being the cheapest). Sometimes they have been $100 off. This price of $199 is the lowest Ive ever seen for any Oura ringits $150 off the rings original price for that style and color. The Oura ring still requires a $5.99/month subscription to use its best features, so make sure you figure that into your budget. Also, note that youll need to know your ring size to order, and that the gen 3 rings are not sized the same as the gen 4. Your best bet is to find a gen 3 sizing kit to try on in-person before you order.Shopping for tech? Lifehacker can help you make the right decision. • Now you can generate images directly from ChatGPT and Sora
    www.engadget.com
OpenAI just announced that all users will soon be able to generate images directly inside of ChatGPT. Its rolling out to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team and, most importantly, Free users. This will be the default image generation tool in 4o, so there will be no need to open Dall-E whenever you want to whip up a picture of a cat in space eating lasagna or whatever. The features also coming to Sora. The company says that the platform will "generate high-quality images based on your prompt, conversation and uploaded files." To the latter point, itll be able to transform pre-existing images based on prompts. OpenAI is also boasting about significant improvements in text rendering and contextual understanding. These new tools are intended for both personal and professional use. As such, OpenAI gives a number of examples as to where this type of image generation could come in handy. These include the creation of infographics, social media promotional graphics and images with plenty of text, as seen below.OpenAIThis being a modern generation tool, it can also handle high-end visuals. The company says it offers a "strong capability for photorealism, including light, shadow, and texture accuracy." The ability to understand context could also be useful, as OpenAI says this could be used to create a poster of birds found in Central Park or a "visualization of an art history era discussed previously in the conversation."Say hello to GPT-4o, our new flagship model which can reason across audio, vision, and text in real time: https://t.co/MYHZB79UqNText and image input rolling out today in API and ChatGPT with voice and video in the coming weeks. pic.twitter.com/uuthKZyzYx OpenAI (@OpenAI) May 13, 2024 It's built on GPT-4o, an AI model that was first released last year. The "o" stands for "omni", which is a reference to the models multimodal capabilities. This is what allows many of the aforementioned features, like being able to iterate on uploaded files. • Apple schedules WWDC 2025 for June 9-13
    www.engadget.com
Apple announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference will be on June 9-13. The company is usually consistent with its event timing, so Tim Cook will probably take the stage to start the keynote on June 9 at 10AM PT/1PM ET.We've already heard that iOS 19 and macOS 16 will be sporting new looks, so expect a focus on the latest software changes. And there's no way we won't be getting more Apple Intelligence updates. It was a core part of the iOS 18.3 update that rolled out at the start of the year and Apple has had struggles with some of the AI-powered features, particularly its notification summaries. One thing we don't anticipate seeing is the long-awaited update to Siri that will offer more personalization, also courtesy of Apple Intelligence. That project hit a delay in March and, no matter how hard we might hope otherwise, it seems unlikely the issues will all be resolved by June.Although the keynote is happening in-person at Apple Park, the rest of WWDC will take place online and is free for developers to attend. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/big-tech/apple-schedules-wwdc-2025-for-june-9-13-171840700.html?src=rss
