  • Apple is said to be developing a revamped Health app with a built-in AI doctor
    www.engadget.com
An AI overhaul may be on the horizon for Apples Health app. In the Power On newsletter, Bloombergs Mark Gurman reports that Apple is working on a much more comprehensive version of its Health app under the code name Project Mulberry, with plans to integrate an AI agent that would somewhat replicate a doctor and act as a personal health coach. In addition to making lifestyle recommendations based on users health data, the app will reportedly include educational videos from real doctors about an array of health topics. The Health app will also put a new emphasis on food tracking, and may even offer form correction tips for workouts using the devices camera, Gurman reports. The service, unofficially being referred to as Health+, could arrive with iOS 19.4, which Gurman says is expected to be released next spring or summer. In the meantime, Apple reportedly has doctors on staff whose data is being used to train the AI agent, and its planning to open a studio near Oakland, California where they can film content. Dont be surprised if Health+ arrives with a celebrity doctor on board, too according to Gurman, Apple is on the hunt for a major doctor personality to be the face of the service. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/apps/apple-is-said-to-be-developing-a-revamped-health-app-with-a-built-in-ai-doctor-170020277.html?src=rss

  • PS5 and PS5 Pro Reportedly Has Stuttering Issues in Certain Titles With VRR Enabled
    gamingbolt.com
A new issue affecting Variable Refresh Rate on Sonys PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro has reportedly been discovered, at least in specific titles. According to Digital Foundry, enabling VRR and an unlocked frame rate for these games results in intermittent stuttering.Occurring every eight seconds or so, it seemingly affects titles like Hogwarts Legacy, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Elden Ring, and more. Titles like God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, Immortals of Aveum, and Dragons Dogma 2 were unaffected, at least in the 20 to 30 minutes of testing performed.Digital Foundry tested these games across multiple TV sets and found the same issue. It also discovered that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesnt stutter on Xbox Series X. When switching to a different input, its eliminated for some time, though its not a permanent fix. Some comments on the video noted that it may be a rounding error by the consoles. NTSC runs at 119.88Hz, but the consoles could be considering them as running at 120Hz, with that discrepancy causing the stutter. Its also possibly due to a bug with Sonys software library that only some developers utilize, leaving other titles unaffected.Sony hasnt provided any information on the issue, but stay tuned for more details on potential fixes.

  • Black Myth: Wukong Received Tons of Support From Sonys Content Ventures Team
    gamingbolt.com
Theres been extensive rumors and counter-rumors about Sony having a timed exclusivity deal with Game Sciences Black Myth: Wukong for PS5. The multi-million-selling action RPG has yet to be released on Xbox Series X/S (despite its ESRB rating), with the developer noting challenges with the hardware, specifically the 10 GB shared memory on the Series S.However, even if there isnt an exclusivity deal, timed or otherwise, Sony has assisted with the title. Speaking to SIE Blog, Phil Rosenberg, SVP of Global Partner Development and Relations, outlined the Content Ventures team and how theres nobody better in the world than Christian and Shawne Benson at finding hidden gems and nurturing up-and-coming companies that are probably off the radar for most of us.They get tons of support from the third-party account management team, and the partner development team, who are often the very first points of contact.Rosenberg also noted that the team worked with Annapurna Games very early on games like Stray. However, he added, The same approach also led our support of Genshin Impact, Black Myth: Wukong and Stellar Blade for example.Genshin Impact famously remained exclusive to PS5 for years, and the impact was significant enough to allegedly warrant Microsoft wanting its own clone. Stellar Blade is still exclusive to the console, though a PC release is due this Summer. Is it too much to assume something similar with Wukong, even if it was initially announced for all current-gen platforms?Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates. Black Myth: Wukong has reportedly crossed 25 million sales and an expansion is in the works.
