Supermassive Games has revealed that Tony Pankhurst has passed away recently at the age of 67. He was the face of the Curator in The Dark Pictures Anthology.In a post on Twitter, Supermassive Games said, "We are all saddened to hear of Tony Pankhurst's passing. He was the face of The Curator, and we loved working with him." On a tribute page, his family stated that he passed away on May 9, and shared that he was an avid Briton Hove Albion FC football fan. The family is also open to donations to "Hospice in the Weald," to which Supermassive Games itself donated 200.We are all saddened to hear of Tony Pankhurst's passing. Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the MCU, but Iron Man isn't. Instead, he'll be taking a new name and wearing a new mask--that of Victor von Doom, one of Marvel's greatest villains. RDJ kicked off the MCU and introduced superheroes to Earth-616 in 2008's Iron Man and ended his run as Tony Stark in 2018's Avengers Endgame. This could be the MCU's coolest moment--or its silliest.Downey revealed his new role on the Hall H stage, coming out in a Dr. Doom mask and tearing it off to reveal his face to a surprised audience. His comment was simple: "New mask, same task." As part of Marvel Studios' San Diego Comic-Con 2024 panel, the studio announced that directing team Joe and Anthony Russo will return to direct a pair of new Avengers films, with Avengers: Doomsday coming in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars following a year after. Leave it to Marvel Studios to close out its signature Hall H Comic-Con panel with a series of huge announcements. First, Kevin Feige confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo will return to the MCU with Avengers 5 and Avengers 6. While the sixth film in the franchise is still called Avengers: Secret Wars, the fifth film will no longer be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Instead, it will now be known as Avengers: Doomsday.The shift away from Kang began after Jonathan Majors was fired from the role following his conviction for assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Instead, the new primary villain for the next Avengers film is one of Marvel's most prominent bad guys: Doctor Doom. And that role will be played by Robert Downey Jr., the actor who kicked off the MCU as Iron Man in 2008.As part of the announcement, multiple Doctor Dooms came out on stage, followed by Downey himself. Downey indicated that he loves playing complicated characters. No explanation was offered for why Doctor Doom physically matches the late Tony Stark, but presumably it will tie into the Marvel multiverse. In Marvel's comic book universe, there is a Council of Dooms from alternate worlds. But Doom has also been known to surround himself by robotic duplicates of himself. Marvel's Thunderbolts will kick off the summer box office in 2025, but the cast and director Jake Schreier debuted the first footage from the film at this year's Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con. And if the preview clips are any indication, this team may play like Marvel's Suicide Squad.The footage began with Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova reuniting with her surrogate father, Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour). He's living alone in a messy apartment, and Yelena confesses that she feels an emptiness inside of her and that "there is something wrong with me." Wyatt Russell's John Walker/U.S. Agent is shown at home with his child while reading a story about his downfall.Later, Yelena encounters Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) on a mission that turns out to be a trap for both of them. They're convinced that someone is trying to kill them. After the cast was announced and confirmed for Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four this past February, the latest installment of Marvel's first family gets a new title. Announced at Marvel's Hall H presentation during Comic-Con, the film will now be called The Fantastic Four: First Steps.Since the movie starts filming in late-July, obviously there was no footage, However, there was a vintage style science reel made by the Future Foundation presented to the audience. In the video, Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal) hosts a science show called Fantastic Science. We see the crew in a jet engine explosion, as well as Richards and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) prepping for space travel. After a year of rumors and fan speculation, Giancarlo Esposito's mystery role in Captain America: Brave New World has finally been confirmed. During the Marvel Studios panel at Comic-Con, the actor told the audience that he will be playing Sidewinder, leader of The Serpent Society.Esposito enthusiastically spoke to the Hall H attendees: "So there's been a lot of guessing for who I really am. Can I say it? I can say it. I am the king of the Serpent Society! I am Seth Voelker, I am Sidewinder!" Joining Esposito against the new Captain America will be The Leader (Tim Nelson Blake), and President Ross (Harrison Ford), who will mutate into the unstoppable Red Hulk. During San Diego Comic-Con, a trailer for The Penguin was released. The upcoming spin-off of The Batman will be a limited series branded as an HBO Original. The Batman's Colin Farrell is reprising his role as Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot, and where others see disaster, the Penguin sees an opportunity to take control of the criminal underworld. But as shown in the new trailer, Oz has a significant adversary in his way. Since Carmine Falcone was killed in The Batman, his daughter--Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti)--believes that she's the natural choice to take over the crime family. That puts her at odds against Oz, and for the first time, we see that Sophia was apparently institutionalized in Arkham Asylum. It also suggests that she may be a vigilante killer known as the Hangman.The trailer also establishes two of Oz's key relationships. He's taking care of his mentally ill mother, Francis Cobb (Deirdre O'Connell), while also mentoring his new driver, Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz).
