WWW.DIGITALTRENDS.COMNvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti could be 20% faster than the RTX 4060 TiNvidia’s upcoming RTX 5060 Ti 16GB graphics card has once again surfaced in leaked benchmarks, showcasing a sizable performance uplift over its predecessor. According to data obtained by VideoCardz, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB outpaces the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB by approximately 20% in synthetic tests, while trailing the RTX 5070 by nearly 33%. The leaked benchmarks results are primarily from 3DMark’s suite of tests including SpeedWay, Steel Nomad, Port Royal, Fire Strike and Time Spy, suggesting that the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB offers a notable generational improvement over the RTX 4060 Ti. Recommended Videos As per the shared data, in Speed Way, the card scored 4,055, which is about 25% faster than the 4060 Ti’s 3,239. The Steel Nomad benchmark showed a score of 3,455, roughly 18% ahead of its predecessor’s 2,932. Ray tracing performance in Port Royal was particularly impressive, with the 5060 Ti achieving 9,944 points, marking a 22.6% improvement over the 4060 Ti’s 8,112. Related In DirectX 12 workloads, Time Spy results showed the 5060 Ti pulling 15,389, compared to 13,469 on the 4060 Ti, translating to a 14% gain. In the more demanding Time Spy Extreme, the upcoming card scored 7,136, around 16% better than the 6,153 posted by the 4060 Ti. Traditional rasterization tests also favored the 5060 Ti, with Fire Strike showing a jump to 40,925 from 34,295, an increase of almost 19%. The more intense Fire Strike Extreme saw the 5060 Ti deliver 19,556, beating the 4060 Ti’s 15,937 by around 22.7%. Finally, in Fire Strike Ultra, the card managed 9,175, a notable 25.8% improvement over the 7,294 of the previous generation. This data likely comes from a reviewer, so it should give a reasonable indication of the card’s performance, but since the numbers aren’t official it’s best to approach them with some caution. Interestingly, VideoCardz reports that Nvidia is restricting AIBs from sending out the 8GB variant for reviews, meaning most launch-day coverage will focus on the 16GB model. That’s important to note as the larger memory size can heavily impact performance in VRAM-hungry games. Similarly, leaked Geekbench test results were reportedly spotted a few days ago, further hinting at a consistent generational uplift for the RTX 5060 Ti. Nvidia is expected to launch the RTX 5060 Ti on April 16 in two configurations: 8GB and 16GB. Both versions will feature the GB206-300-A1 GPU, boasting 4,608 CUDA cores and GDDR7 memory on a 128-bit memory interface. With a 180W TGP, the card should arrive with a single 8-pin connector although there might be a few models that feature the infamous 12V-2×6 power connector. With pricing rumored between $400–$450, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB could be a compelling option for gamers who want a taste of Nvidia’s latest Blackwell architecture without spending an exorbitant amount of money. WWW.BUSINESSINSIDER.COMSam Altman has a crib recommendation — and it's not the SnooNew dad Sam Altman recommended the Cradlewise crib. Stefano Guidi/Getty Images 2025-04-14T05:57:29Z Save Saved Read in app This story is available exclusively to Business Insider subscribers. Become an Insider and start reading now. Have an account? Sam Altman, a dad and OpenAI's CEO, loves one smart crib for his baby son. His top baby gear picks so far are Cradlewise's crib and lots of burp cloths. At $1,999, Cradlewise is pricer than the Snoo — but it can be used for longer. OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, is deep in new-dad life — and he's already sharing strong opinions on baby gear."We bought a lot of silly baby things that we haven't needed," he posted on X on Sunday night. "But definitely I recommend a Cradlewise crib and a lot more burp rags than you think you could possibly need."Cradlewise hasn't made as many headlines as its older and bigger competitor, the Snoo — the sleek, motorized bassinet that's basically the Tesla of baby tech. The Snoo, designed by celebrity pediatrician Harvey Karp, has been the go-to setup for sleep-deprived parents for nearly a decade. It uses motion, white noise, and a built-in swaddle to gently rock babies back to sleep.Retailing at $1,695, or $159 a month to rent, the Snoo has amassed a devoted fan base, including celebrity parents like Justin Timberlake and Zoe Saldaña, who invested in the company.Altman's pick, Cradlewise, works a little differently — and at nearly $2,000, it's the pricier option.Instead of waiting for cries, it bounces the baby gently up and down to preempt fussing. It also skips the built-in swaddle, one of Snoo's signature features, and includes a built-in baby monitor and music features.Parents can use Cradlewise's crib for longer with a growing baby. The Snoo tops out at around six months old. Cradlewise converts from bassinet to crib, so it can be used until the baby turns two years old or meets other milestones, like weight.Neither company responded to Business Insider's request for comment. 'Having a kid changed a lot of things'Altman and his husband, software engineer Oliver Mulherin, welcomed their baby boy in February. The newborn came early and spent some time in the neonatal intensive care unit."I have never felt such love," Altman posted on X shortly after becoming a dad.Speaking at a TED event on Friday, Altman called parenthood "by far the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.""Having a kid changed a lot of things," he said. "The kind of cost of not being with my kid is just like crazily high."Altman added, "I really cared about like not destroying the world before. I really care about it now."He joked, "I didn't need a kid for that part." Recommended video0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 29 Просмотры

Text description provided by the architects. The project is located next to the main access road of an agricultural property and serves a dual purpose: to store vehicles and serve as a residence for the property's caretaker. This small building replaces an auxiliary structure on the estate that collapsed irreparably. The footprint, volume, and roof material (ceramic tiles) are characteristics inherited, by regulation, from the building it replaces.Save this picture!Save this picture!Save this picture! The volume combines, under a single roof, two independent elements without internal communication, each at a different level: a garage, open to the north, and a residence, open to the south, which functions as a single-story home. Save this picture!Save this picture!Starting from a predetermined volume, the structure is optimized to create a garage with a large opening and no columns: the north facade of the upper level acts as a large beam, while the side facades stiffen its ends. This self-supporting shell is complemented by a lightweight wooden structure, supported by a large pillar that divides the light on the south facade and also houses the chimney. WWW.GADGETS360.COMGoogle Introduces Ironwood, Its Seventh Generation TPU Designed to Handle AI InferenceGoogle introduced the seventh generation of its Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), Ironwood, last week. Unveiled at Google Cloud Next 25, it is said to be the company's most powerful and scalable custom artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator. The Mountain View-based tech giant said the chipset was specifically designed for AI inference — the compute used by an AI model to process a query and generate a response. The company will soon make its Ironwood TPUs available to developers via the Google Cloud platform.Google Introduces Ironwood TPU for AI InferenceIn a blog post, the tech giant introduced its seventh-generation AI accelerator chipset. Google stated that Ironwood TPUs will enable the company to move from a response-based AI system to a proactive AI system, which is focused on dense large language models (LLMs), mixture-of-expert (MoE) models, and agentic AI systems that “retrieve and generate data to collaboratively deliver insights and answers.”Notably, TPUs are custom-built chipsets aimed at AI and machine learning (ML) workflows. These accelerators offer extremely high parallel processing, especially for deep learning-related tasks, as well as significantly high power efficiency.Google said each Ironwood chip comes with peak compute of 4,614 teraflop (TFLOP), which is a considerably higher throughput compared to its predecessor Trillium, which was unveiled in May 2024. The tech giant also plans to make these chipsets available as clusters to maximise the processing power for higher-end AI workflows.Ironwood can be scaled up to a cluster of 9,216 liquid-cooled chips linked with an Inter-Chip Interconnect (ICI) network. The chipset is also one of the new components of Google Cloud AI Hypercomputer architecture. Developers on Google Cloud can access Ironwood in two sizes — a 256 chip configuration and a 9,216 chip configuration. At its most expansive cluster, Ironwood chipsets can generate up to 42.5 Exaflops of computing power. Google claimed that its throughput is more than 24X of the compute generated by the world's largest supercomputer El Capitan, which offers 1.7 Exaflops per pod. Ironwood TPUs also come with expanded memory, with each chipset offering 192GB, sextuple of what Trillium was equipped with. The memory bandwidth has also been increased to 7.2Tbps. Notably, Ironwood is currently not available to Google Cloud developers. Just like the previous chipset, the tech giant will likely first transition its internal systems to the new TPUs, including the company's Gemini models, before expanding its access to developers.
