One of the new features, spotted by VGC’s Chriss Scullion and Andy Robinson, will allow players to race around much quicker in Mario Kart World. Holding down the hop button, traditionally used in the Mario Kart franchise to kick off drifts or jump off ramps for quick boosts, can now also provide a minor boost to players on its own. Another player, who goes by the handle mads on social media platform X, discovered one of the secret large vehicles players can get access to as they explore the open world of the game. While riding on the water, mads was able to find a giant hovercraft that could be taken control of just by driving into it. This hovercraft could also be taken on land, though controlling it out of the water seemed much more challenging. This second thing could be briefly spotted in the announcement trailer for Mario Kart World, where one of the players was able to drive into a large bus which could then seemingly be used for the rest of the race. Set to be one of the launch titles for the Nintendo Switch 2, Mario Kart World will be hitting store shelves on June 5. The game will be available for $79.99 for a digital copy, which has drawn a considerable level of backlash from fans of the kart racing franchise. If you want to purchase the All-Stars collection that includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, you’ll pay well above retail prices for the privilege. The early years has witnessed Facebook, now Meta, exert its dominance over the social media market by acquiring companies like Instagram and WhatsApp, but FTC believes that the company has been stifling the competition in the process and has taken it to court in an effort to subdue its control. However, it will not be a walk in the park for the U.S. agency because Meta’s lawyers are well prepared for this confrontation, stating that its important applications are free for millions to use. Lawyers mention that Meta’s apps have improved substantially in quality while also pointing out the company’s growth In a U.S. federal court, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg presented his argument to a judge, defending the social media platform. However, the FTC had their own arsenal ready, showing that Zuckerberg wrote in an internal email that he wanted to crush a potential competitor, before acquiring Instagram in 2012. Shortly after, in 2014, before purchasing WhatsApp, Zuckerberg wrote another email stating that the messaging service was a big risk for Meta. Naturally, FTC’s lawyer, Daniel Matheson, came forth and said that the motivation for acquiring these companies was to prevent the alternatives from becoming sizable threats. Instead of competing with them, Matheson says that Meta sought the easiest solution; buying out its rivals. With this tactic, the FTC lawyer says that consumers have to play around with lower-quality social media apps, while Meta focuses on boosting its profits. As expected, Meta’s lawyer, Mark Hansen, had the counterattack ready, with NPR reporting that both Instagram and WhatsApp were acquired to improve them. He also doubles down on Meta not being a monopoly because it has never raised prices on consumers, and none of its major applications require a fee, as its competitors do not charge users any form of payment either. Additionally, Hansen argues that if Meta were to charge users, it would lose customers and consequently suffer revenue drops. He also says that Meta’s growth is a strong indicator that more and more people are inclined to use the company’s apps, mentioning ‘That’s economics 101:’ people will use more of something the better it becomes. ماكرون يبلغ نتنياهو ضرورة نزع سلاح حماس ووقف اطلاق النارنتانياهو (يمين) يعتبر إقامة دولة فلسطينية دعما للإرهاب (الأوروبية ـ أرشيف)15/4/2025قال الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون إنه أكد في اتصال هاتفي مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو على "ضرورة وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة ونزع سلاح حركة حماس"، فيما حذر نتنياهو من عواقب الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينة. وأضاف أن فتح جميع معابر المساعدات الإنسانية ضرورة حيوية للسكان المدنيين في غزة. ويجب أن تنتهي محنة السكان المدنيين في غزة" معتبرا أن وقف إطلاق النار في غزة "هو وحده كفيل بتحرير الأسرى الإسرائيليين المتبقين". وكتب ماكرون على حسابه على موقع "إكس" بعد محادثاته مع  نتانياهو: "يجب أن تنتهي المحنة التي يعيشها المدنيون في غزة"، داعيًا إلى "فتح جميع معابر المساعدات الإنسانية" إلى الأراضي الفلسطينية المحاصرة. على الجانب الإسرائيلي قال مكتب نتنياهو إن رئيس الوزراء قال لماكرون إن إقامة دولة فلسطينية "يمثل مكافأة وتشجيعا كبيرا للإرهاب". وبحسب بيان صادر عن مكتبه، شدد نتنياهو في حديثه مع ماكرون على معارضته لإقامة دولة فلسطينية معتبرا أن ذلك سيمثل "مكافأة كبيرة للإرهاب". وخلال زيارته معرضا مخصّصا لغزة في معهد العالم العربي في باريس أمس الاثنين أكد الرئيس الفرنسي رغبته في إطلاق "سلسلة اعترافات" بدولة فلسطينية وإسرائيل، خلال مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الذي سترأسه فرنسا بالاشتراك مع السعودية في يونيو/حزيران المقبل في نيويورك. إعلان وقال ماكرون "ما نريد أن نطلقه هو سلسلة من الاعترافات الأخرى بالدولة الفلسطينية وأيضا اعتراف بإسرائيل من قبل الدول التي لا تفعل ذلك حاليا"، مضيفا أنه سيناقش هذا الموضوع  مع  نتانياهو الثلاثاء (اليوم) . وكان نتنياهو هاجم الأحد الماضي ماكرون بعد تصريحات له أكد فيها نية باريس الاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية، معتبرا أن ماكرون "مخطئ بشدة" في دعمه لهذه الخطوة. وقال نتنياهو إن إقامة دولة فلسطينية "في قلب وطننا"، على حد تعبيره، أمر مرفوض، لأنها "لا تطمح إلا إلى تدميرنا"، مضيفا أنه لن يعرض إسرائيل للخطر بسبب ما وصفها بـ"أوهام منفصلة عن الواقع". وأكد نتنياهو أنه لا يمكن قبول دروس في الأخلاق تدعو إلى إقامة دولة فلسطينية من قبل دول تعارض استقلال كورسيكا وكاليدونيا الجديدة، على حد قوله. وجاءت تصريحات نتنياهو بعد إعلان ماكرون الأربعاء الماضي أن بلاده تدرس الاعتراف الرسمي بالدولة الفلسطينية خلال الأشهر المقبلة. المصدر : وكالات
