News Skull and Bones Kicks Off Year 2 Season 1 With Major Content Update The second year of Skull and Bones is kicking things off with a host of new content, including a new ship and item ascension. Posted By Joelle Daniels | On 15th, Apr. 2025 Ubisoft has revealed details about its plans for the second year of content for multiplayer pirate game Skull and Bones. Dubbed Year 2 Season 1, the latest update to Skull and Bones brings with it a host of new content, along with a progression to its main storyline. Check out the showcase video below. A major part of Skull and Bones moving into its second year is that there is a season reset. As part of this, players can only carry over up to 50,000 Pieces of Eight into the new season. As for the story, Skull and Bones Year 2 Season 1 picks up right where Year 1 Season 4 left off with the reports of the DMC trying to strengthen its position in the Indian Ocean. Now, players will have to deal with an arms race between DMC and the Compagnie as they battle for control over the Indian Ocean. Along with all of this, there is also new technology being developed in the background, which can alter the course of war. One of the major new features in the latest update to Skull and Bones is Item Ascension. Once players hit Infamy Tier 9, they will get the quest “Ascension and Modification”, which in turn will lead them to the Blacksmith where they can unlock the new feature. Through this, players can ascend their weapons with new modifications. Ascensions have three grades: Basic, Advanced, and Special. Ascending an item also gives it Modification Slot, which can turn the item into an incredibly powerful tool for players to use in their adventures through the game. For players that might want more challenge from the game, a new World Tier system has been added to Skull and Bones. With the pre-existing world being considered World Tier 1, players will be able to ascend up to World Tier 2: Cutthroat Seas when they reach the Kingpin Infamy Tier. World Tier 2 will feature increased difficulty, but players will also start earning more loot and resources. Rewards across various activities, including world events, ships and towers, are increased when playing in World Tier 2. A new ship-type has also been added to the game: the Schooner. Available after unlocking 45 tiers in the Smuggler Pass, the Schooner is a medium-sized ship that focuses on explosive damage. Its main perk is Fury, which, when activated, increases the damage and explosive effects of broadside weapons. A secondary perk, Volatile, can be unlocked at Ship Upgrade Rank 6, which further increases explosive damage while reducing weapon reload time. The Honorless is a new time-limited event that will go live from May 6. Available until June 10, the event involves players taking on the titular Honorless for lucrative rewards that can be picked up at the event vendor. Rewards include the Divine Wind epic Bombard, the Kleine Kartouwe epic Demi-Cannon, and the Fuse-Fusing Station rare minor furniture. Skull and Bones is available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The Nine are dark matter beings that control their own realm (called Unknown Space) and are tied to each of the planets in the solar system, they are most known as the makers of Xur, Gambit (they gave Drifter that ship) and 1 of them is who let the Red Legion get to Earth at the very start of D2 by taking out all of earth's radars. Three screenshots of the Mario franchise’s unreleased Virtual Boy outing have resurfaced online, giving us the best look at the game anyone’s seen since 1995. The images were discovered hiding out in The Internet Archive by Bluesky user rabidrodent, specifically in a folder of video game screenshots pulled from old AOL file libraries. They appear to be official assets distributed by Nintendo to the press for use in reporting on the game, so it’s not as if no one has ever seen them before. That said, this is probably the first time these specific images have been available to the public in this clean a form in decades, and we love to see it. Nintendo showed “VB Mario Land,” as the game is known colloquially despite having never received an official name, just once at the Winter Consumer Electronics Show in January 1995. Reports from the time indicate attendees weren’t actually able to play the game or even view it through a Virtual Boy, but were shown a demo of the first level on widescreen TVs while wearing special glasses to simulate the console’s 3D effects. VB Mario Land would have seen Mario traversing both sidescrolling and top-down levels, with plane-hopping mechanics similar to those that would eventually be seen in Virtual Boy Wario Land. It’s unclear why Nintendo never released the game, but many attribute the near-immediate failure of the Virtual Boy to its disappearance, making the odd device the one Nintendo console to not receive a traditional Mario experience.

Of course, the performance boost you're able to see will always depend on the hardware you have in your system, but even considering that, it's still an impressive bump for what many players find challenging to run. Black Myth: Wukong was one of the biggest titles in 2024, winning its fair share of awards, including the game of the year for both the Steam Awards and the Golden Joysticks. It's also one of the sleekest-looking games in recent years if you've got the hardware for it. Now that it supports DLSS 4 Multi-Frame generation, more players will be able to enjoy its wonderful visuals without losing frames as they would have before. مقال له نشرته صحيفة "يسرائيل هيوم"، كتب إيلام أن إسرائيل وتركيا تتجهان نحو مواجهة في سوريا، مضيفًا: "لم يعد السؤال عن احتمالات حدوث المواجهة، بل متى تحدث تلك المواجهة؟". أعرب إيلام عن قلقه العميق من احتمال إنشاء تركيا قواعد عسكرية داخل الأراضي السورية، مشيرًا إلى أن وجود القوات المسلحة التركية بالقرب من حدود إسرائيل الشمالية يُثير قلق تل أبيب بشدة. في هذا السياق، نفذ الجيش الإسرائيلي خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة أكثر من 14 غارة جوية على مطار حماة والمناطق المحيطة به، بالإضافة إلى استهداف مطار "تيفور" العسكري في محافظة حمص، ومنشآت عسكرية في العاصمة دمشق، فضلًا عن قصف مدفعي وهجمات بالهاون على مناطق غربي محافظة درعا. لكن إسرائيل تدرك أن قصف الأراضي السورية بدافع الخوف من تركيا ليس حلًا فعالًا. فما الذي ينبغي على إسرائيل فعله إذن؟ يجيب عوديد إيلام عن هذا السؤال في مقاله: "على إسرائيل أن تطلب المساعدة من الولايات المتحدة. ففي مثل هذه الحالة، لا يمكن أن تقلب التوازن إلا قوة عظمى: الولايات المتحدة. العم سام وحده هو القادر على بناء الجسور، والقيام بالوساطة، وتهدئة التوتر.. يجب على إسرائيل أن تدعو واشنطن للتحرك فورًا والانخراط في هذه القضية". أما موقف تركيا من المسألة السورية، فهو واضح تمامًا، إذ تؤكد على أهمية وحدة الأراضي السورية، وهو ما عبّر عنه وزير الخارجية التركي هاكان فيدان بقوله: "قبل كل شيء، نحن لا نرغب في صراع مع إسرائيل على الأراضي السورية، لأن سوريا ملك للسوريين. سوريا ليست تابعة لتركيا، ولا تتبع لإسرائيل". لكن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، الذي يعوّل على الدعم الأميركي، زار الرئيس دونالد ترامب للمرّة الثانية خلال شهرين، على أمل أن يمارس ضغوطًا على تركيا مستندًا إلى قوّة الولايات المتحدة. وخلال لقائهما في البيت الأبيض، بادر نتنياهو بطرح الملف السوري أمام وسائل الإعلام، وقد أعرب عن قلق بلاده من تنامي النفوذ التركي هناك قائلًا: "لقد تدهورت علاقات الجوار مع تركيا. لا نريد أن تتحول سوريا إلى منصة للهجوم على إسرائيل، سواء من تركيا أو من غيرها. تركيا دولة تربطها علاقات رائعة بالولايات المتحدة، والرئيس ترامب تربطه علاقة قوية بالزعيم التركي. لقد ناقشنا سُبل تجنب هذا الصراع المحتمل، وأعتقد أنه لا يوجد وسيط أفضل من الرئيس الأميركي لتحقيق ذلك". إعلان وخلال اللقاء، وجّه مراسل صحيفة "هآرتس" الإسرائيلية سؤالًا إلى الرئيس الأميركي جاء فيه: "تركيا تقول إنها ستحقق الاستقرار في سوريا، بينما تعارض إسرائيل هذا النفوذ التركي هناك. برأيكم، هل يمكن لنفوذ تركيا أن يجعل سوريا بلدًا أكثر استقرارًا؟" كان رد الرئيس الأميركي صادمًا لنتنياهو، إذ قال ترامب أمام الصحفيين: "لديّ علاقات رائعة مع رجل يُدعى أردوغان. هل سمعتم بهذا الاسم؟ أنا أحبه، وهو يحبني. أعلم أن وسائل الإعلام ستغضب مني بسبب هذا، سيقولون: "ترامب يحب أردوغان". نعم، أحبه وهو يحبني. لم نواجه أي مشاكل على الإطلاق. مررنا بالعديد من المواقف، لكنها لم تتحول أبدًا إلى مشاكل. كما تعلمون، نحن استعدنا القس الأميركي من تركيا. هل تذكرون؟ كان ذلك إنجازًا ضخمًا حينها. قبل قليل، قلت لرئيس الوزراء نتنياهو: " بيبي، إذا كان لديك مشكلة مع تركيا، فأعتقد أنني قادر على حلها. لدي علاقة رائعة جدًا مع تركيا ومع قيادتها. وأعتقد أننا نستطيع حل الأمر معًا". كما كشف ترامب عن حوار دار بينه وبين الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان قائلًا: "هنأته وقلت له إنه فعل ما لم يستطع أحد إنجازه منذ ألفي عام. قلت له: "لقد حصلت على سوريا". بكلمات مختلفة، لكن المعنى واحد. قلت له: "لقد حصلت عليها من خلال وكلاء"، فقال: "لا، لا، لم أكن أنا". فقلت له: "بل كنت أنت، لكن لا بأس"، فأجابني: "نعم، ربما كنت أنا بطريقة ما". ثم ختم ترامب حديثه قائلًا: "انظروا، إنه رجل صارم وذكي للغاية. فعل شيئًا لم يفعله أحد. يجب أن نعترف له بذلك. ثم نظرت إلى نتنياهو وقلت له: "أعتقد أنني قادر على حل أي مشكلة تواجهها مع تركيا، ما دمت منطقيًا. علينا جميعًا أن نكون منطقيين". وهكذا، سقطت إستراتيجية نتنياهو في الضغط على تركيا عبر الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، بسبب عدم رغبته في تقديم "مطالب منطقية" مثلما تحدّث ترامب. إعلان من الواضح أن نتنياهو لا يريد أن تسحب الولايات المتحدة قواتها الموجودة في سوريا والتي يبلغ عددها حوالي ألفَي جندي، بل يطالب بزيادتها. لم يُعلن ترامب قراره النهائي في هذا الشأن، لكن بقاء القوات الأميركية في سوريا لا يخدم مصالح الولايات المتحدة بشكل مباشر، وانسحابها سيُحدث تحولًا كبيرًا في موازين القوى داخل سوريا. إذا حدث هذا الانسحاب، فقد يعني ذلك نهاية مشروع "إسرائيل الكبرى" الذي يبدأ من فلسطين ويمر بلبنان وسوريا، وصولًا إلى الأراضي التركية، وسيكون مصيره مزبلة التاريخ. أما إسرائيل، فلم تُغير بعد أسلوبها الذي يعتمد على التأثير في صانع القرار الأميركي، كما لم تتخلَّ عن استخدام الأقليات، وفرع تنظيم "PKK" الإرهابي في سوريا (وحدات حماية الشعب/ حزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي) كأداة لتحقيق مصالحها. والأسوأ من ذلك، أن الخيارات الماكرة التي قد تلجأ إليها إسرائيل ما تزال مطروحة؛ كتنفيذ عمليات تخريب واغتيالات لإضعاف حكومة الشرع في سوريا، أو شنّ أعمال استفزازية باستخدام تنظيم "PKK" الإرهابي الذي يُتوقع أن يُحلّ قريبًا. كل شيء قد يتغيّر، إلا إسرائيل التي تأسست على الاحتلال والإبادة الجماعية، لا تتغيّر أبدًا. الآراء الواردة في
