Xbox games occupied the top three spots on the digital bestsellers' list on the PS5 in April. In both US/Canada and EU regions, Microsoft first-party games were the most downloaded titles from the PlayStation Store on PS5. Samsung Electronics’ strategic focus on AI has delivered high revenue in the first quarter of 2025, as the South Korean tech giant navigates semiconductor market challenges and growing global trade uncertainties.The company posted an all-time quarterly high revenue of KRW 79.14 trillion ($55.4 billion), marking a 10% increase year-over-year, according to its financial results released on Wednesday. Operating profit climbed to KRW 6.7 trillion ($4.68 billion), representing a modest 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year.The results exceeded Samsung’s earlier forecast of KRW 79 trillion and analysts’ expectations.Smartphone success counters chip challengesThe Mobile Experience (MX) Business emerged as the best performer, contributing KRW 37 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 4.3 trillion in operating profit – its highest level in four years. The success was driven primarily by strong sales of the flagship Galaxy S25 series, which features AI abilities via Galaxy AI.“Enhanced cost competency and price declines for some components also contributed to solid double-digit profitability,” the company’s earnings report said.In contrast, Samsung’s Device Solutions (DS) Division, which includes its semiconductor operations, posted KRW 25.1 trillion in revenue and KRW 1.1 trillion in operating profit – a 42% decline from the previous year. Gears of War: Reloaded Could be Skipping Physical Release on Xbox Ironically enough, the third-person shooter's upcoming remastered could get a physical release on PlayStation, but not on Xbox. Posted By Shubhankar Parijat | On 08th, May. 2025 Gears of War is the next big first-party Xbox franchise that will be making the jump to PlayStation as part of Microsoft’s expanding multiplatform publishing plans, though interestingly enough, the upcoming Gears of War: Reloaded could be skipping Xbox itself with a physical release. At least that’s what activity from retailer GAME España seems to be suggesting.  Caught by a Resetera user, the remastered third-person shooter’s page on the retailer’s website (which has since been taken down) listed upcoming an upcoming physical release for the title on PS5 and PC, but not on Xbox Series X. When asked about the same on Twitter, the retailer responded that it has currently only received release confirmations on PS5 and PC, throwing a physical Xbox launch into doubt. Of course, this is far from an official confirmation, but given how heavily Microsoft has de-emphasized physical media on Xbox of late, it does set off some alarm bells, especially if you like to make physical purchases. Iirc The Pokémon Company hesitated at the begining of the generation , but Switch has become a gold mine for the franchise. Regarding Scarlet/Violet, very well deserved sales. Despite technical issues, they are the most innovative, fresh and ambitious games in the franchise ever, the open world formula is the best that has ever happened to the franchise, and can't wait to see what comes next. I will never understand people claiming "the games are always the same" or "they will never do something new" considering that Pokémon switch era has been by large the most varied and experimental Pokémon has every been (Let's Go, Legends games, Scarlet/Violet). The best Pokémon era imo. I'm really curious about Scarlet/Violet free Switch 2 update. I doubt is going to be about gameshare, so I'm expecting performance upgrades.
