Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereDead By Daylight has released its first collaboration of 2025 with the world renowned Junji Ito. The crossover is fantastic as it includes a bunch of great skins based on many of the works belonging to the famous manga artist. However, while the skins are great, it has also resulted in DBD being accused of a super f***ed up scam, with players critical of the response from BeHaviour Interactive. While the Junji Ito collection is the first crossover of the new year, there are many more on the way. Fresh leaks have revealed an imminent Resident Evil-themed 2v8 mode, meanwhile, leaks also suggest the killer set to arrive in March is from Tokyo Ghoul. We are also confirmed to be getting a collaboration with Five Nights At Freddys in spring, and leaks have possibly unearthed the FNAF killer, survivor, and new map details. It should be another great year of crossovers for Dead By Daylight, but right now we are dealing with some fallout from the Junji Ito collection. In large, the skin collection has been praised to the heavens, but some controversy has arisen along with accusations of BeHaviour scamming players. Dead By Daylight accused of scamming players with Junji Ito skin collectionFollowing the release of the Dead By Daylight Junji Ito skin collection on January 7th, Reddit user, Yasha_Who, has accused BeHaviour Interactive of scamming them. The OP states that, on the Epic Games store, they purchased 6,000 gold cells, and used these cells to buy the Artist and Kate Denson Junji Ito skins. However, after purchasing the Kate Denson attire, they received a purchase error, and was notified to contact support if the game had taken any currency. After closing the error message, the OP claims they lost the skins despite spending the Auric Cells. They contacted BeHaviour about the situation, and informed the support team they either want the skins back or a refund of the gold cells. Upon contacting BeHaviour, the OP was informed that the Junji Ito skins are unavailable in their region, and BeHaviour cannot make a refund as the skins are technically in their inventory, although they cant be used because they are region-locked. Lastly, the OP claims BeHaviour has scammed them out of money as there was no way of knowing the skins were region-locked as there was no notification and the skins were just available to buy with zero disclaimers. There is concern that the OP is not the only one who will suffer from this scam, and it has put the OP off buying any more content from the games store. The replies overwhelmingly side with the victim. One of the top replies says, They allow you to buy content not available in your region and then wont refund you for purchasing that blocked content? Thats super f***ed up. Other comments blasted BeHaviours response, one with comment saying The way they [BeHaviour] handled those messages is so rude and condescending. Since publishing the Reddit post originally, Yasha_Who is waiting to see if the regional restrictions for the skins will be fixed in the next patch. Hopefully the issue is resolved whether through breaking down the regional blockage or simply giving back the Auric Cells. • Forgotten Diablo 4 art hints towards next new class in upcoming expansion

You can trust VideoGamer. Our team of gaming experts spend hours testing and reviewing the latest games, to ensure you're reading the most comprehensive guide possible. Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereWhile Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred brought a brand-new class in the form of the extremely popular Spiritborn, players are already hungry for more. Despite a mediocre story and some annoying multiplayer-only endgame, VoH was a decent step forward for Blizzards ARPG.With no release date in sight, theres not much known about what the second major expansion for Diablo 4 could be, but there may be hints in Forgotten artwork for the game. After all, every expansion should bring a new class as well, but what will it be?Diablo 4 Holy-themed classAs explained by Diablo YouTuber Osterberg, early keyart for Diablo 4 released by Blizzard showed off a new class that has never been seen. The artwork in question was revealed at Blizzcon 2023 and shows a Holy Knight with a javelin and shield fighting alongside other classes that are actually in the game. With Blizzard previously revealing that they spent two years developing Spiritborn before its release, its clear that the games next class has also been in active development for a while. In fact, it may even be in this artwork.Could this be D4s next big class? However, there is a possibility that the proposed Holy-themed class was an idea left on the cutting room floor for Diablo 4. After all, Spiritborn was not shown in early art and released alongside Vessel of Hatred. Furthermore, with the sheer demand for D4 to finally add the classic Paladin class, this Holy-themed class could be scrapped.Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see a brand-new class for Blizzards RPG. While the old classics are always fun, theres always a desire for something unique. After all, with the massive success of Path of Exile 2, Diablo does need something to fight back with.Whatever the case, Diablo 4 is still in a strong place, despite some mixed messaging from above. With executives fighting fans of the series classic gameplay as modern gamers tastes change, D4 is still a fun game, although it does have issues.Diablo 4Platform(s):PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/XGenre(s):Action, Action RPG, RPGSubscribe to our newsletters!By subscribing, you agree to our Privacy Policy and may receive occasional deal communications; you can unsubscribe anytime.Share

  • Destiny 2 players must vote quickly to get amazing skins based on horror icons

You can trust VideoGamer. Our team of gaming experts spend hours testing and reviewing the latest games, to ensure you're reading the most comprehensive guide possible. Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereDestiny 2 has a lot of plans for 2025. Right now Revenant Act 3 has just begun, and soon Bungie will introduce a new dungeon. There will also be the typical, annual returning events, including Halloweens Festival of the Lost later this year. While Halloween is still very, very far away, Bungie is getting ready to work on its cosmetics, and players must now vote quickly to get some amazing Destiny 2 skins based on horror icons. Fans can check out the 2025 roadmap to see all of the plans Bungie has revealed so far. Revenant Act 3 has been disappointing as some feel Bungie lied about the Slayers Fang exotic shotgun, and the finale has also failed to lift the player count from its continuing plummet. However, there is more to anticipate this January as Bungie are soon introducing several big buffs and nerfs, and then we have the developers annual Game2Give charity fundraiser. Were all hopeful the next 12-months will be a good year for Bungie, and, while fans are very pessimistic, the good news is that this years Festival of Lost skins at least look amazing. They are based on icons of the horror genre, and players can now vote between slashers and spectres. Destiny 2 players can now vote for Festival of Lost 2025 skins Per Bungies TWID blog post on January 9th, Destiny 2 players can now vote for skins they want for the Festival of Lost 2025. The skins that win will be available during Festival of Lost later this year. The extra good news is that the skins that lose will be still released, but at an unspecified point-in-time before FoL 2026. Its a difficult choice as fans must vote between either slashers or spectres for each class. The slashers include the iconic Ghostface and Jason from Friday the 13th, meanwhile, the spooky spectres include the Babadook and Slenderman. Voting is only open for a week, so make sure to cast your vote before January 16th. To vote, proceed to Bungies survey, and choose between spectre and slasher for each of the individual classes: Warlock, Titan, and Hunter. Titan is the most difficult choice as its between the Babadook and Jason, but Ghostface seems a safe bet for Hunter, with Slenderman also a safe bet for Warlock. However, all of the skins look fantastic, and its up to you to decide which you want. A Real ShenmeSleeping Dogs movie no longer in the works, because there's no Wei we can be allowed nice thingsOur favourite not quite GTA with kickass martial arts is no longer coming to the big screen.Image credit: Square Enix News by Mark Warren Senior Staff Writer Published on Jan. 10, 2025 Dang it. Sleeping Dogs - a very good game about an undercover cop infitrating Hong Kong's triads by lying and backing that lying up by kicking half the population of the special administrative region right in the face - is no longer set to be getting a film adaptation starring Donnie Yen.I know, fellow slumbering canines enjoyer, I'm sad too. We'll get over it, though, probably be re-installing the Definitive Edition and slapping the t*ts off of some hoodlums hiding away in an alleyway in Central - likely next to one of those nice blue lockboxes. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. This now dead-in-the-water live-action film - first announced back in 2017 - would have seen Yen, known for his roles in Rogue One, John Wick: Chapter 4, and the Ip Man franchise, take on playing protagonist Wei Shen. The actor's now confirmed to Polygon that this seemingly isn't on the cards anymore."I spent a lot of time and did a lot of work with these producers, and I even invested some of my own money into obtaining the drafts and some of the rights," he said. I waited for years. Years. And I really want to do it. I have all these visions in my head, and unfortunately I dont know, you know how Hollywood goes, right? I spent many, many years on it. It was an unfortunate thing."Yen concluded by adding: "Well, on to better things."Damn. Think about how good it could have been. Especially if Yen had brought the same swagger he had as Caine in that John Wick movie - a character that's already set to get his own spin-off film - to the role. This is just the fate of us sleepy doggos fans, it would seem. No sequels, no movie, just endless journeys to kung fu the crap out of a certain crime boss known for his large grin.

  • It's a shame that our first look at Transformers: Reactivate gameplay arrives just after the game is cancelled
    www.vg247.com
Not FairIt's a shame that our first look at Transformers: Reactivate gameplay arrives just after the game is cancelledWe may never play Transformers: Reactivate, but from what we can tell, it looks like a fun shooter that we would have loved to spend time with. News by Sherif Saed Contributing Editor Published on Jan. 10, 2025 Transformers: Reactivate was officially cancelled this week when developer Splash Damage announced that its ceasing development of the online shooter after years of work and plenty of silence. Wed never actually seen any gameplay from the doomed project, but the first footage, ironically, just started appearing online.Reactivate switched to Unreal Engine 5 during its development, and this footage appears to have been captured after that shift. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. The footage comes courtesy of DpzLuna on Twitter, an account dedicated to sharing news about the game, what little of it there was, anyway. Its a gameplay clip thats over six-minutes-long, showing some fairly basic combat from the perspective of a single Transformer.Transformers: Reactivate was a shooter, after all, so much of the action involves shooting, with the occasional transforming in between. It appears turning into a car was the main means of traversal around the map, which looks to have been fairly big.You could also shoot in car mode, and the animations of all of that look pretty good. The shooting looks to have heft to it, too, with chunky sound effects and meaty recoil. The combat shown, however, is against indistinct AI enemies, not DecepticonsFrom the looks of it, Reactivate likely had an open-world structure where players could freely roam around and pick objectives to tackle. Some of those include fairly standard stuff like clearing an area of enemies. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. While the footage clearly came from an in-development build with many missing assets, there is some promise to this. That said, in the wake of multiple live service disasters in 2024, like the crash and burn of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and the release and subsequent un-release of Sonys Concord, one has to wonder if the powers that be looked at Reactivate and didnt believe it could stand a better chance in the current market.Nevertheless, its sad to see the work of a studio as talented as Splash Damage go to waste. It always feels like a team whos one game away from a hit, so its extra frustrating to see that potential unrealised.

Switchmon SaysNintendo finally says a thing about those Nintendo Switch 2 leaks, mockups, and nine million other things, and it's exactly the kind of thing you'd expectThe company behind Mario has done some words about its uber-secret unrevealed console.Image credit: VG247/Nintendo News by Mark Warren Senior Staff Writer Published on Jan. 10, 2025 Following a week or so of various Nintendo Switch 2 leaks, dummy models, and release window rumours sloshing around the internet like the inside of a waterlogged wellie (that's a wellington boot, non-brits) Nintendo has finally said a thing in response to at least some of it.No, it's not that it thinks you going to your local tarot card reader in an attempt to learn when the console will be revealed is a bit weird, but that is still a bit weird. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Instead, Ninty's adressed those mockups of the Switch 2 that accessories manufacturer Genki attracted more attention than it had anticipated when it showed off at CES. Look, in fairness, you can't always tell when people will be really, really excited by the prospect of looking at a plastic box and trying to tell how many extra USB ports have been added to it.According to Automaton, Nintendo has issued a statement on those mockups to CNET. "The gaming hardware that Genki presented as Nintendo hardware at CES is unofficial and was not provided to the company by us," it said. That's not all though, as the clearly feeling very verbose company also told Sankei Shimbun that alleged images and videos of the Switch 2 which've been circulating online recently "are not official." Phwoar, don't write us an essay Nintendo. So, there you go. Nintendo has responded. Silence broken. At least all the leaks are no longer happening while people do that Vincent Vega shrugging GIF wondering where Nintendo's own perspective on the topic is, rather than it just quietly preparing for the Switch 2 reveal that's almost certainly coming at some point between now and the end of time.To be fair, I understand all the chatter. I too am desperate to run away from a giant shark on a jetski via something with the number 2 associated with it.

  • Terrorism Expert Warning on New Simplified 3D Printed Gun and Manifesto
    3dprintingindustry.com
The Urutau has created a paradigm shift in the 3D printed firearm landscape, according to a new report from the Global Network on Extremism & Technology (GNET).I spoke with co-author Dr. Yannick Veilleux-Lepage to learn more about the significance of this homemade weapon. In the GNET article, he and fellow global security expert Zoltn Fredi argue that the design significantly lowers the barrier of entry to 3D printed guns.Developed by a Brazil-based designer with the pseudonym Z Carioca, the Urutau, which translates to Ghost Bird in the Indigenous Tupi-Guarani language, can be built without conventional gun parts. This, along with a simplified design, reportedly makes it easier and cheaper to assemble than other options, like the popular FGC-9.Veilleux-Lepage argues that the Urutaus well-designed build guide sets a new benchmark for 3D printed gun instructions, allowing virtually anyone to print and assemble the deadly device. The document claims the Urutau can be made in under a week, and recommends 3D printer models such as the Creality Ender 3 and CoreXY systems from Bambu Lab. Detailed operational security advice also informs users on how to avoid detection when subverting gun control laws. While the global terrorism analyst couldnt speak to Z Cariocas exact motivations, he suggested that financial gain, prestige, and ideological beliefs may serve as incentives. The latter is reflected in the Urutaus detailed 9-page manifesto. The document, titled The New Second Amendment, calls access to firearms a fundamental human right that should be globally recognized. In one promotional video, the guns designer spliced ominous quotes from former KGB propagandist Yuri Bezmenov with on-screen text asserting they want to control you and do not make peace with evil. Fredi and Veilleux-Lepage suggest that this rhetoric reflects the inherent anti-authoritarian ideology connected to the weapons distribution.Render of the Urutau. Image via the Global Network on Extremism & Technology.Making 3D printed guns more accessibleDevelopment of the Urutau lasted from 2019 until August 2024, when it was released on the open-source video hosting platform Odysee. The guns design seeks to address the cost, complexity, and material sourcing barriers that often limit access to 3D printed firearms.Notably, it is entirely composed of unregulated, non-gun components that can be legally purchased around the world, removing material constraints that have hampered previous designs. Overall, 41 3D printed pieces are required to assemble the Uturau. 8 optional pieces for the front and rear sights can also be added. The devices bolt is pinned and glued using square or rectangular bars. This removes the need to weld and drill precision metal components, a participantly error-prone stage when constructing the FGC-9. Additionally, its fully 3D printed fire control group negates the need for AR-15 trigger components. Additive manufacturing has also allowed the firing pin channel to be shortened, further simplifying the construction process while the need for metal drilling is minimized.Fredi and Veilleux-Lepage note that the only regulated materials required to produce the firearm are the thick-wall hydraulic pipe for the barrel and also the ammunition. By minimizing the amount of regulated materials, the Urutau significantly reduces the legal risks associated with its production in restricted jurisdictions. The authors argued that the production process could be seamlessly scaled up with additional 3D printers, skilled volunteers, and employees. This could enable criminal organizations or insurgent groups to manufacture the devices on a larger scale.Veilleux-Lepage observed that terrorists constantly seek innovative ways to overcome obstacles, often by leveraging new technological advancements. He emphasized that increasingly accessible 3D printed firearms, such as the Urutau, create new opportunities that violent actors can exploit. For instance, the Assistant Professor pointed to a 25-year-old Swedish white nationalist who was arrested in 2021 while planning a terrorist attack. In addition to explosive devices, police discovered a ZBC-21 firearm, a beta version of the Urutau, highlighting the potential risks posed by these emerging technologies.Dr. Yannick Veilleux-Lepage. Photo via Dr. Yannick Veilleux-Lepage.A new benchmark for 3D printed firearm instructionsThe Urutaus 105-page build guide is a critical factor in its accessibility. The document provides detailed instructions on how to successfully 3D print each part, along with extensive detail on the 99 steps required to assemble the firearm. Information on how to construct the 30-round magazine is also outlined, aided by technical line drawings.Comprehensive details on equipment requirements are included, along with a list of necessary materials. Readers are warned that while several items have many plausible, legal uses, their purchase could raise alarms with the authorities. This well-designed resource stands out in the 3D printed firearms community. Fredi and Veilleux-Lepage contrast it with the unsophisticated, stripped-down documents of the 3D printed Not-a-Glock hybrid handgun, which were reportedly riddled with spelling mistakes. Also included in the 392 MB zip file drop are two documents dedicated to operational security. These provide warnings over legal implications and advice on how makers can cover their tracks. The first highlights the importance of discretion to avoid incrimination. It encourages makers to engage in legal activities like DIY projects, Airsoft, or paintball sports to provide plausible deniability for their gun-making activities. Tips on how to handle 3D printed parts and firearm components, obfuscate DNA and fingerprints, and dispose of incriminating documents are also provided.Secondly, a file titled John Smith Practices Good OpSec! serves as an operational security guide, providing strategies to avoid legal scrutiny. The document, written in the style of a childrens fairy-tale story, offers advice on how to make potentially concerning purchases in legally restrictive locations. It outlines principles such as concealing physical evidence, maintaining operational silence, and avoiding suspicion. An excerpt from John Smith Practices Good OpSec!. Image via Internet Archive.3D printed guns and the New Second AmendmentIn a previous interview with 3D Printing Industry, Veilleux-Lepage argued that ideological motivations often drive the adoption of additively manufactured guns. He explained that 3D printed firearms appeal to right-wing extremists who wish to seize the means of political violence. The Urutaus 9-page manifesto certainly reflects this ideological connection. It outlines the philosophy and goals behind homemade firearms, outlining critical design objectives and their importance for spreading global adoption.According to the document, the right to keep and bear arms should not be restricted in any region or territory. It also argues that the freedoms enjoyed in the US are not guaranteed, especially given the potential for changes to domestic gun laws. The manifestos authors stress that no government, especially during times of turmoil, would uphold the rights of individuals to own guns. Therefore, they emphasize the importance of homemade firearms that are practical, difficult for governments to prohibit, and comparable to professionally made weapons. To advance the New Second Amendment, readers are encouraged to actively create, test, and improve their own privately made guns. To ensure unrestricted global access, the importance of free and open-source principles is also expressed. Technological advancements in privately made firearms are presented as key to undermining regulations. These continuous advancements complicate efforts by governments and law enforcement to mitigate their unregulated proliferation.Veilleux-Lepage outlines how this ideological stance underpins a major debate within the community. Divisions exist between open-source 3D printing advocates and those preferring proprietary designs. Others disagree over constant innovation and experimentation versus the refinement of existing models.Elsewhere, many American designers favor part-kit completion (PKC) remixes, which feature a 3D printed receiver or frame combined with standard firearm parts. However, the international terrorism expert noted that those outside the US view PKC as impractical due to the scarcity and regulation of commercial parts. As such, they advocate for hybrid guns which rely more heavily on additively manufactured components.Directory structure of the 392 MB Urutau file drop. Image via the Global Network on Extremism & Technology. The future of 3D printed firearmsVeilleux-Lepage told 3D printing industry that the Urutau is poised to significantly impact the global 3D printed firearms landscape. The GNET report argues that the Urutaus launch should be considered a potential watershed moment, representing a leap forward in the homemade firearms landscape. The ease and affordability of the new design could accelerate the adoption of 3D printed guns among nefarious actors. It also sets new standards for 3D printed gun assembly instructions, providing clear, comprehensive guidance that may influence future designs, according to Veilleux-Lepage.Critically, the accompanying manifesto could have wider-reaching implications than the technical advances. The analysts argue its strong ideological message establishes a universal principle to resist regulation, motivating designers to innovate and reel against legal and social constraints. Equipping makers with the operational security awareness and practical skills to avoid legal detection adds significant weight to these mobilization efforts.By combining technological accessibility, ideological motivation, and subterfuge skills, Veilleux-Lepage and Fredi expect the Urutau files to exacerbate the proliferation of unregulated firearms among extremist groups. They expect this to pose complex challenges in detecting and preventing acts of violence. Improved data-sharing between academics and practitioners will reportedly be critical in tackling this burgeoning threat.Who won the 2024 3D Printing Industry Awards? All the news from Formnext 2024.Subscribe to the 3D Printing Industry newsletter to keep up with the latest 3D printing news. You can also follow us on X, like our Facebook page, and subscribe to the 3D Printing Industry Youtube channel to access more exclusive content.Featured image shows an STL Preview of the Urutau.
