Jesse Eisenberg has criticized top tech leaders for getting involved in politics. The actor, who once played Mark Zuckerberg, said tech leaders should focus their money and attention elsewhere.Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos were among the tech billionaires who attended Trump's inauguration.Jesse Eisenberg has said that "tech bros" who have involved themselves in politics would be better off "doing good things for the world."The actor, who portrayed Mark Zuckerberg in the 2010 film "The Social Network," made the comments during a recent episode of "Real Time With Bill Maher."Eisenberg was asked by the show's host what he thought of the array of "tech bros" who attended President Donald Trump's inauguration earlier this month. The actor-director responded: "I look at it from a very specific perspective, which is if you're so rich and powerful, why are you not just spending your days doing good things for the world? So it's hard for me to understand the specifics of what they're doing.""You know, I married a woman who's like this amazing activist. All she thinks about all day is, 'How can I help the people who are most in need?'" he said of his wife, Anna Strout, who works for a number of nonprofits. Jesse Eisenberg portrayed Mark Zuckerberg in the 2010 film "The Social Network." Columbia Pictures Eisenberg, who directed and starred in the Oscar-nominated film "A Real Pain," continued: "So when I watch these incredibly powerful people, I just think, 'Why are you not spending your day helping people?'""Why are you getting mired into this weird stuff stuff I don't really understand and taking privacy concerns away, hurting people who are already hurting, marginalized people?""I'm just thinking, 'Why are they not spending every day helping people?'" Eisenberg added.Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos were among the tech leaders to attend Trump's inauguration.Musk spent millions of his own money supporting Trump's election bid last year and has since been tapped to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency. Both Meta and Amazon have also offered their support to Trump, donating $1 million each to his inaugural fund.Speaking a The New York Times' DealBook Summit last month, Bezos who has been at odds with Trump in the past said that he was "actually very optimistic" about another Trump term and that he would like to help Trump with his deregulation plans. For Zuckerberg's part, he has made a series of sweeping changes at Meta that appear to be remaking the company at least partly in the image of Trump and Musk.Trump's inauguration also saw Apple CEO Tim Cook, OpenAI's Sam Altman, TikTok exec Shou Zi Chew, and Google boss Sundar Pichai in attendance.

  • Scary Movie Is Ready to Scare You Silly Again in 2026
    gizmodo.com
Old franchises are back in vogue again, and the pendulum has finally come around forScary Movie. We learned just before Halloween that Scary Movie would be rising from the deadand now theres a release date. Miramax Films horror-comedy series is set to return with a brand new movie on June 12, 2026. Scary Movie 6 sees Wayans Brothers Marlon, Keenan Ivory, and Shawn return to the series for the first time since their tumultuous departure post-Scary Movie 2.Where the first two movies parodied famous slasher flicks like ScreamandI Know What You Did Last Summer, the Wayans-less sequels pivoted to the broader horror genre, from the Ring and Grudge films to Paranormal Activity. While none of them were exactly critical darlings, nearly all of them made a lot of money. They were also such a part of pop culture, they led to other (and arguably lesser) parody movies flooding theaters in the late 2000s, like Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie, andVampires Suck. The first four Scary Movie films are fondly remembered by fans and helped introduce audiences to the Wayans and co-leads Anna Faris and Regina Hall. Right now, its unclear if Faris and Hall are returning alongside the Wayans, ditto which movies theyll be riffing on this time around. But at least we know some laughs are on the horizon, and all we gotta do is survive until June 12, 2026 so we can laugh our asses off at whatever the Wayans and company have cooked up. • How to use Amazon Lockers to save time and beat porch pirates
    www.popsci.com
An Amazon Locker can work better for some deliveries. Image: JannHuizenga/Getty ImagesShareWhile online shopping saves you the inconvenience of having to visit an actual physical store, it comes with its own issues: Primarily, having to be at home when the delivery arrives, or risk having your items swiped by unscrupulous porch pirates.Porch piracywhere someone takes packages right off your doorstep, after either following drivers or simply touring around neighborhoodsis a growing problem, with an estimated $12 billion worth of goods estimated to be lost last year. There are some solutions to the problem though, and one of them is to use an Amazon Locker rather than your home address. Your delivery gets left locked up securely, and you can then collect it at your convenience, using an entry code that Amazon sends to you via email. The pros and cons of standard deliveriesIts easy to take speedy, reliable home deliveries for granted. From a logistical point of view its kind of incredible that you can order such a wide variety of goods online and have them turn up quickly on your doorstep.Unfortunately, there are people who want to intercept your deliveries before they reach you. You dont have to look far to find stories about porch piracy in the newsand in Texas, the worst state for porch piracy, theres a shocking 30 percent chance that something youve ordered wont make it to you successfully. While Texas is way out in front (it drops to 14 percent for North Carolina, the second worst state), these are worrying figures. As you might expect, thefts tend to spike around the holidays, when there are more packages in circulation. There are steps you can take to protect yourself: A lot of the time, especially with high-value items, youll be able to specify that a signature is required on delivery, so your package wont be left out in the open. You can also invest in a video doorbell, which may put off some (but not all) criminals.Another idea is to get your packages delivered to your office during the day, but thats not always possible at every place of work. One of the most effective ways to keep your deliveries safe is to go for the Amazon Locker option: It comes with numerous benefits, and well explain in more detail how it works. How to use an Amazon LockerYou need a PIN number, barcode, or app to access your item. Image: Amazon Youll see Amazon Locker appear as an option when youre checking out on Amazon. If you select it you can then choose one close to where you live or work. You can save the locations of your favorite lockers to use again, and youll be given instructions for how to get at your package. You might even find delivery is faster than it is to your home. This isnt something thats suitable for every delivery, because Amazon Lockers can only take items up to a certain size and a certain price point. Whats more, items from third-party sellers cant be directed to a locker. If youre not seeing the option to deliver to an Amazon Locker appear, those could be the reasons why.Youll find lockers in all kinds of places, from grocery stores to car parks to educational institutions. A lot of the time you can access them 24 hours a day, and depending on the locker you can use a barcode (sent to you in an email), a PIN code (sent to your in an email), or a Bluetooth connection to your phone (with the Amazon Shopping app running) to get at your goods. You can request locker slots closer to the ground, or even get someone else to pick up the delivery for you. This is all free if youre a Prime member, otherwise prices will vary depending on the goods and delivery distance. Youve got three calendar days to pick up your item after its delivered to the locker, otherwise Amazon will take it back as a return and refund you. Theres a customer service number printed on every Amazon Locker if you need help.Lockers arent just suitable for foiling porch pirates either: They can be handy if youre ordering a gift that you dont want anyone else in your household to know about, or if you live in a block of apartments where access for delivery drivers can be difficult. Theyre also useful if you do a lot of traveling, and want to pick up something while youre away.

  • A Stardew Valley Spin-Off Based on Joja Would Have Great Potential
    gamerant.com
Stardew Valley is a game about choices. After the briefest of introductions, players are set loose on their very own slice of arable land, allowed to improve it in just about any way that they deem fit. Farming, fishing, raising livestock, mining, and foraging for natural goods are all viable routes for progression in Stardew Valley, lending the game a sense of freedom that few other titles can compete with.
