Not every game needs to be more like IO Interactive's Hitman, but some games would benefit from adopting more of that incredible series' strong points. This is something Rebellion seemed to figure out around the time of Sniper Elite 3 back in 2014, when the series ditched linear levels set in tight, wartorn streets in favor of a much deeper, wider tour of duty, with each map allowing for player choice in how they navigate the world and complete missions. The series has even gone so far as to create some absurd, Agent 47-like situations in which you can assassinate Nazis. Sniper Elite: Resistance reintroduces that tried-and-true formula for the fourth time in 11 years, and though it's still enjoyable, I can't help but notice how this campaign through the French countryside elicits such a strong sense of deja vu.Sniper Elite is a third-person shooter set during World War II, and like other games in the series, it can be played in first-person when you're aiming. The series has made a name for itself on a deep ballistic physics model that accounts for wind, bullet drop, and positioning, as well as its cherry on top: the X-ray killcam. This feature shows you, in slow-motion, how each bullet shreds Nazis in grotesque detail, inside and out. Like in other Sniper Elite games, a well-placed bullet can shoot their eyes out, explode their hearts, or even obliterate their testicles, among other special displays of sharpshooting.Like its predecessors, the game is a fun and reliable shooter when it comes to sniping mechanics, though I've grown weary of the killcam. These days, I more often skip the killcam, or at least adjust my settings to see fewer of them. Earlier this week, some Baldur's Gate 3 players mistakenly received early access to Patch 8--the final major update for the game--before its scheduled stress test. Now, Larian Studios has announced that the Patch 8 stress test is live, and it's introducing several new features including cross-play.To familiarize players with the way cross-play will function, Larian has also released the following video that walks through the necessary steps to join up with friends who are playing on separate consoles or PC. Prior to launching Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Series X, Larian was forced to drop the split-screen feature from Xbox Series S. In a recent online discussion, Marvel Rivals fans expressed that they would like NetEase Games to add more hero proficiency ranks to the game beyond Lord. Marvel Rivals is currently nearing the middle of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which features a struggle between Dracula and the Fantastic Four. Honkai: Star Rails 3.0 update added a new type of scavenger hunt to the game: nymphs in Amphoreus. These critters are scattered around the maps, with each map featuring a Garmentmaker looking to find them. Help the Garmentmaker out and youll be able to get Stellar Jade and other goodies for yoru time.These little bugs work similarly to the origami birds from Penacony. There are a bunch of them scattered around the map, and once you find them, youll need to report to the Garmentmaker in each area to get your reward. If you dont know which nymphs youre missing from the map, you can trade Memory Crystal Shards in exchange for a hint on where one of the missing nymphs is. (However, if you use our guide, you shouldnt have to do this, and you can use your shards on loot from Janus Steed in Okhema instead.)These bugs are also chatty, so if youre having a hard time finding them, you can keep your eyes peeled for text bubbles that will show up, as they seem to have a lot to say.Unlike the origami birds, finding nymphs doesnt reward you with light cones. Instead, you get Celestial Ambrosia, which youll need to rank up the Tidal Bounty in the Vortex of Genesis. As you hunt down prophecy tablets and other puzzles around Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail, youll find one with no prompt shown on the left side though, saying Crrk? This tablet is in Janusopolis, in the room where the Trailblazer and Dan Heng first crash landed on Amphoreus.Your character will note that it likely has to do with creation nymphs which is correct. Collecting the nymphs will show you a slice of the solution. However, even without doing this, you can brute force the puzzle by just putting in the right answer. That said, even the rewards for collecting the nymph doesnt show the full puzzle. It only shows a quadrant of it, and youll need to collect the other pieces from players to actually put together the solution. (Again, you dont have to. You can just input the puzzle solution as displayed below.)This follows a line of somewhat complex puzzles that are part of Amphoreus nymphs collection, like the nymphs hidden message in Okhema.
