These annual rankings were last updated on September 19, 2025. Want to see your firm on next years list? Continue reading for more on how you can improve your studios ranking. From its conserved colonial architecture to its contemporary craft, Argentinas built environment is colorful and individual. Cities like Buenos Aires, Crdoba and Mendoza have been heavily influenced by European architecture. From Spanish colonial to Art Nouveau to Neoclassical design, the architecture of Argentina offers unique translations of similar programs in 19th-century Europe. In the 1930s, Argentine architects looked to the work of Le Corbusier, and many began to adopt a rationalist sensibility. The nations urban fabric began to shift: the ornate edifices from decades prior were now paired beside geometric and clean-lined designs. Decades later, skyscrapers began to dominate the skylines of Argentine cities, signaling a generation of designers who embraced modern techniques yet maintained a similar aesthetic to their predecessors. And todays architects continue to push new limits through designs that respond to the countrys breathtaking landscape and celebrate Argentine culture. With so many architecture firms to choose from, its challenging for clients to identify the industry leaders that will be an ideal fit for their project needs. Fortunately, Architizer is able to provide guidance on the top design firms in Argentina based on more than a decade of data and industry knowledge. How are these architecture firms ranked? The following ranking has been created according to key statistics that demonstrate each firms level of architectural excellence. • Spider-Man: Far From Home Without CGI Part 2 [RSP VFX Breakdown]
    www.famefocus.com
With the power of CGI, there is no longer such a dependency on fancy camera trickery like filming a scene on its side and rotating it in post-production, in order to make an actor in blue and red spandex look like Spider-Man hanging off the side of a London building. No, nowadays, we can just make a computer-generated Spidy and slap him on top of another computer-generated background. But, before you go hating on the artificialness of computer graphics; saying things like soon all the actors will be replaced with CG ones, and they probably will, but there is actually a crazy amount of human creativity that goes into making these VFX. The concept artwork, look development, animation choices and a ton of other genius ideas that you wouldnt even have noticed until people like us point it out to you.So, in this video, were going to review some of the work Rising Sun Pictures did to show you just how much creativity actually goes into CGI in this VFX breakdown of Spider-Man Far From Home Part 2. Spiderman Far From Home was so jam-packed full of huge and impressive monsters, stunts and overall action that seeing a smaller 3D hologram of the monsters and their origins may have slipped by almost unnoticed and, therefore, definitely unappreciated. Its just some fancy pictures of the baddies, right? Skip to the action, cmon But no, these holograms were actually quite involved and some of Rising Sun Pictures most complex work in Spider-Man: Far From Home. As, aside from fixing a few things at the beginning of this scene Urgh, wrinkles hmm, much betterResearch into the latest scientific hypotheses on the behaviour of black holes was needed just to get an idea of what hell theyd even look like close up AND in 3D.Then they combined all of those latest theories as well as theories on how they distort time and light; along with the audiences expectations of what they look like, based on other movies; to then put it all together in a way that was in keeping with the style of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For the earth water wind and fire Elemenalts and their origins, VFX artists had to study up on ancient statuary and totems, doing extensive research on deities related to each element. The CG department used artefacts from different countries to base the elements on. While the studios 2D department took on the role of putting together the live-action and CG elements and finalizing the whole thing.Everything also had to be further processed in order to give the style of holographic look that we see in the movie. In order to light the actors on set with the light that would be coming off the holograms before theyd even made the holograms, they used a table with a lighting panel on the surface. Unfortunately, RSP was tasked with having to dim it; add layers so that it would follow any changes in light of the holograms and, in some instances, completely remove it! And, as if that wasnt enough, the hologram also had to follow a similar style to the other holographic elements throughout the Marvel movies while, at the same time, adding something new and exciting to keep it fresh. Finally, RSP also worked on the scene where Nick Fury tranquis Peter Parkers best friend Ned.They added the tranquillizer dart and also some more holograms that shine out of the tiny device Fury pops on the table. The holograms for this scene were also full of an extensive amount of work involving split-screens and clean-up. • Park(ing) Day Toronto 2025 returns this weekend
    www.canadianarchitect.com
Parking Day 2024 Mutable Spaces BNKC Photo by Bruno BelliPark(ing) Day, an annual worldwide, public art project that reimagines parking spaces into pop-up parks and social spaces for a day, is returning to Toronto this weekend.Organized and coordinated by Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, this years edition will take place from September 19 to 21, 2025, and is inviting people to reclaim street, boulevard, and lot parking spaces, and turn them into temporary micro-parks and community spaces for design, play, and conversation.Park(ing) Daybegan in 2005 as a design activism project by the design studio Rebar, transforming a single parking spot in San Francisco. Since then, it has grown into a global movement that has featured hundreds of installations in more than 35 cities worldwide. In 2022, Dubbeldam Architecture + Design launched the initiative locally with a single activation in the boulevard parking space in front of their studio. Since then, Dubbeldam has expanded the event across the city. In 2024, more than 20 activations were realized across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), involving a wide range of participants, from architecture and design studios to artists, nonprofits, community groups, and residents. The initiative aims to call attention to the need for more accessible and inclusive public spaces in dense urban areas. By encouraging people to think about the use of public space in cities, the initiative raises awareness about the need for more open, green, and social areas in urban environments. It also provides an opportunity to engage in an ongoing conversation about the design and construction of cities and highlights the need to enhance the accessibility and quantity of public open spaces in densely populated urban zones while emphasizing the significance of these spaces for social and environmental interactions.Parking Day 2024 Activate Dubbeldam Photo by Bruno BelliThis years event will showcase a lively mix of installations and activities across the city, each inviting visitors to participate and connect in different ways.Highlights include an open-air library where guests can decorate and personalize books and enjoy live storytelling sessions, a tiny parking spot house, hands-on community projects such as assembling and painting CNC-cut plywood street furniture, a kids craft table, an open mic event, a HIIT class, a mini-habitat featuring native plants, pollinator education, and welcoming spaces to gather, among other installations. To support broader participation and make the event more accessible, Dubbeldam Architecture + Design launched the Park(ing) Day Toronto Grants Program in 2024 to offer grants of up to $500 to support eligible Park(ing) Day activations. For the 2025 event, the grant program continues, thanks to support from this years Grant Partners Arup Canada, SvN Architects + Planners, Dialog and Fast+Epp. Community organizations, non-profits, local groups, and individuals are invited to apply. The grants are intended to cover materials, plants, seating, signage, and other design or programming costs.Park(ing) Day is about rethinking how we allocate public space in our cities. It highlights the importance of prioritizing open, green spaces that foster community. By transforming parking spots into temporary parks and social spaces, we hope to inspire larger conversations about how we can create more accessible, vibrant urban spaces as our cities become increasingly dense, said Heather Dubbeldam, principal of Dubbeldam Architecture + Design. We are all so busy, its difficult for people to find time for activism, but its been said, Be the change you want to see. This is our humble way of making a change for just one day, with the hope that it will spark further discussion and action around the concept of reclaiming public space for people, especially in underserved and more densely populated areas of our city. For more information on how to host your own Park(ing) Day activation, click here or reach out to hello@parkingdaytoronto.ca.The post Park(ing) Day Toronto 2025 returns this weekend appeared first on Canadian Architect.

  • Why is it that we have to rely on tech gimmicks like 1Password's Travel Mode to protect our privacy? Seriously, in 2025, we’re still hiding our sensitive information as if it’s something we should be ashamed of! This feature claims to "act as if that data never existed," which sounds impressive until you realize it shouldn't have to be this way.

Just think about the absurdity of needing a digital disguise to cross a border! Have we lost our right to privacy so completely that we now have to play hide and seek with our own data? It’s time we demand better from our tech companies and from our governments. Let’s stop being passive users and start holding them accountable!

Take a stand. Your privacy matters.

Travel Mode not only hides your most sensitive data—it acts as if that data never existed in the first place.

  • Forget about savings accounts, folks! The real investment is a solar-powered RC boat with unlimited range. Imagine floating your dreams away while your money just sits there.

While traditional RC aircraft are grounded by boring regulations (you know, like "keep it in sight"), our new aquatic buddy has no such constraints. You can send it off on its endless adventure... right until you forget where you sent it!

I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend their weekends chasing a tiny boat across the horizon? It’s like adulting, but with more splashes and fewer responsibilities. Just remember: if it gets lost, you can always have a midlife crisis instead.

So, ready to sail into the sunset or just hoping your boat finds its way home?
