  • BioWare's Best Option for an Anthem Reboot May Not Be Anthem at All
    gamerant.com
Despite renewed interest in a revival of BioWare's Anthem, the game might find better odds for a potential reboot if adopted by one of the studio's more well-known and well-established IPs. Since the days of Dragon Age: Inquisition and its original Mass Effect trilogy, BioWare's recent track record has arguably been hit-and-miss between the likes of Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but none more so than its short-lived MMORPG, Anthem. However, while the game may have failed to meet expectations when it first launched, some players and even former producers are interested in rebooting Anthem.

  • Problem with SetDefaultNamespace in asIScriptModule
    gamedev.net
Hello. There seems to be issues with the asScriptModule::SetDefaultNamespace method. The problem is that this method does not register the base namespace. For example:moduleSetDefaultNamespace("Namespace1::Namespace2")In this example, the namespace "Namespace1::Namespace2" will be registered, but the namespace "Namespace1" will not be registered if it does not currently exist. Maybe need to add the following piece of code to asCScriptModule::SetDefaultNamespace?<

  • Death Stranding 2 just got its release date and a 10-minute new trailer
    www.engadget.com
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming to PlayStation 5 on June 26. At SXSW, Kojima Productions dropped a 10-minute trailer for the upcoming game, giving us our best look yet at the sequel to 2019s Death Stranding. Pre-orders open on March 17 at 10AM local time, and those who buy the Digital Deluxe or Collectors Edition will get early access two days before the game officially becomes available. Hideo Kojima was joined by Norman Reedus and Troy Baker on stage at SXSW 2025 to discuss the much anticipated new game. The trailer reveals Death Stranding 2 takes place 11 months after the creation of the United Cities of America. As previous glimpses have shown, Reedus is back as Sam, along with La Seydoux, who voices Fragile, and Baker as Higgs. Theres otherwise a lot to take in over the course of the videos 10-minute run, including a slew of new faces joining the cast. Death Stranding 2 was first announced back in 2022, and last years PlayStation State of Play brought a 9-minute look into the game. Come summertime, you'll finally be able to play it. • This Remote-Controlled LEGO Hot Rod Is Every Gearheads Dream Build
    www.yankodesign.com
Back in the day, hot rods were built in garages, not factories. They were pieced together by gearheads with a knack for mechanics and a need for speed. That same spirit is alive in this LEGO Ideas build, a remote-controlled beast that takes the classic hot rod silhouette and infuses it with the kind of technical detail that makes you want to pop the hoodif it had one. Its a fan-made creation, but it looks like something LEGO could have released alongside their best Technic car sets. The design is a love letter to classic old T-Bucket hotrods from the early 60s, the kind built in garages with elbow grease and a little bit of recklessness. The exaggerated front end, the massive exposed engine, the bare-bones cockpitit all screams speed in its rawest form. The builder, Meesayousa, didnt just slap together a car shape and call it a day. This thing comes with a bare V6, a properly articulated front suspension, and exhaust pipes that snake their way under the chassis like they were hand-welded in a back-alley speed shop. The color scheme is simplewhite with black trim and yellow seatsbut that just makes it look even more like something pulled straight out of a custom car show.Designer: MeesayousaLEGOs official hot rods (the Technic Hot Rod 42022, for example) tend to be static models, sometimes with basic steering or a piston function if youre lucky. This one, on the other hand, comes with its own remote control that gets the hot rod zipping up and down your house, sending it flying down hallways and skidding around corners like a proper speed demon. I have always wanted a driveable hotrod made from LEGO Technic, and have toyed with the idea for ages, and this week its finally come to fruition, says designer Meesayousa. The car has functional steering, working pistons, and is built in modules to make construction easy. It relies on an RC receiver coupled with a train battery box, a medium motor for driving and a servo motor for the steering. Meesayousa also reinforced the build to the best of his ability, after seeing the MOC shatter to pieces every time his youngest one crashed it into a wall or a table while driving. Its now capable of withstanding smaller collisions without breaking apart, adds Meesayousa.Custom LEGO builds can sometimes get messy when mixing System and Technic pieces, but this one nails the balance. The bodywork is smooth, the mechanical elements are exposed in all the right places, and nothing looks out of place. Even the cockpit, with its minimalistic seats and roll bars, fits the aesthetic perfectly. Its a car that looks ready to tear down a desert road, leaving a cloud of dust in its wake.Theres always a question of whether builds like this could ever become official sets. LEGO Ideas has a habit of leaning toward display pieces rather than fully functional models, and the complexity of the RC system might be tricky for mass production. But if LEGO ever wanted to take a chance on an RC hot rod, this would be the blueprint. You can cast your vote for Meesayousas Hot Rod build on the LEGO Ideas website here! The post This Remote-Controlled LEGO Hot Rod Is Every Gearheads Dream Build first appeared on Yanko Design.
