Netflixs Devil May Cry series is less than a month away, and if the new trailer is any indication, its certainly set to live up to the spirit of the video games. Netflix released a new trailer Tuesday, which gave us our longest look yet at the series and maybe even a hint at what the story might be. As you might expect, the trailer itself is mostly focused on action. There are plenty of extremely sick shots of Dante killing demons with both his signature sword and his dual pistols though it doesnt actually look like hes using Ebony and Ivory in the trailer. Of course, all of this is also set to Last Resort by Papa Roach, which gives the trailer exactly the right flood of early-2000s nostalgia it needs.But, beyond the trailers flashy action, theres also a few hints of plot in the trailer as well. It seems that White Rabbit, a character first introduced in the Devil May Cry 3 manga, is the main antagonist of the show, something that was hinted at in previous trailers but not officially revealed. It also seems like the White Rabbit may, at least briefly, be in possession of Dantes Perfect Amulet, and the trailer also includes a Vergil reveal, which should give Dante plenty to contend with through the shows eight episode first season. Devil May Cry will arrive on Netflix on April 3.

The monster covers its body in ridges, which need to be broken before you can start dealing serious damage. This is, as expected, easier said than done.If youre scratching your head over this tricky fight, dont fret, as there are a few things to keep in mind that will alleviate your frustration. This guide covers the Jin Dahaad weaknesses and resistances so you can prepare accordingly, where to find it, and the best strategy to defeat one of the new guardian variants in Monster Hunter Wilds.Jin Dahaad locationYoull first encounter Jin Dahaad in Chapter 3, during the Nothing Frozen, Nothing Gained main mission, but the definitive fight wont take place until the Storm-cold Vortex mission in Chapter 5. As such, all you need to do to unlock the monster is progress through the main questline.Jin Dahaad only roams around the Cliffs biome. The hunts for it are quite specific, appearing in the Environment Overview screen as special events. As such, you arent likely to just bump into it while youre exploring.Keep in mind that in Monster Hunter Wilds, tracking monsters isnt really a prominent feature. Except for a few first-time exceptions, you can use the Environment Overview screen to see if your target is roaming around the map. If not, exploring its corresponding biome(s) for a few minutes usually does the trick youll see a notification on screen announcing its appearance. Worst case scenario, you can speak to Alma and post a hunt for it. For better or worse, the process of finding a monster is much more streamlined now. If you find tracks or other monster residuals on the ground, you can loot them for materials.How to prepare for Jin DahaadJin Dahaad is part of the main story of Monster Hunter Wilds. As such, its encounter is likely to fit your Hunter Rank at that corresponding moment, both in Low Rank (to repel the beast) and High Rank (to fight properly). Since the encounter occurs during a main mission, youll be thrust into the fray after the introductory cutscene. As per usual, whenever youre asked if youre ready to depart, make sure that youre carrying regular and mega potions with you. If youre short on the latter, take a lap around the biome and loot any honey you come across.In addition, dont forget to eat you can use the portable BBQ to grill a meal. Increasing your health and stamina is essential, as Jin Dahaad packs a punch. Investing in defense is a good strategy for this encounter, and you can find some recommendations in our list of best food buffs.For later encounters, carrying a few Torch Pods will be beneficial if either you or one of your teammates have a ranged weapon with Flaming Ammo, even better. Unlike most hunts, the fight has a handful of significant steps to keep in mind if you dont want the combat to last forever.The first step is a continuous task. The monsters body is covered in ridges, which have to be broken down in order to deal significant damage to the actual body. You should always be targeting them when you have the chance, and also be using focus mode often. The gist is that, sometimes, Jin Dahaad will be exposed to focus attacks across its body. These are the best opportunities to really hurt those ridges.The second step happens on occasion, but it can be deadly. Toward the latter half of the fight, Jin has the chance of doing a fatal attack. This will be easy to notice, as itll cover itself in snow and prepare to implode. If youre caught in the shockwave and you dont have enough health, itll likely instantly eliminate you. Make sure to use one of the ice traps around the environment. There should be at least one around.Try not to lose sight of the rumblings left by the environmental trap, as that will be your cover. Standing behind it should be enough, but you can also crouch for extra protection. It takes a while for the monster to actually implode, which should be enough time to relocate behind the surface. In the worst case scenario, call your mount and head as far from Jin as possible.As you may expect, Jin Dahaad will use its colossal size against you. A common attack is a charge forward. This is usually signaled by a growl while tilting its head slightly. Depending on the area youre in when it happens, itll likely go across it in its entirety, stopping right before a wall or any other surface on its way. It does a ton of damage, and it can also drag you on the spot, potentially dealing subsequent damage as its body continues to make its way to the other side.You also need to keep an eye out for ice attacks. Jins go-to has it absorbing ice from the ground as it slowly lifts its head. When this happens, prepare to dodge, as itll quickly follow up by blowing ice toward you. For this and other ice attacks, keep in mind that Jins head will easily be exposed to a focus attack for a few seconds afterward. It wont count as a wound attack, but its an opportunity that you shouldnt miss if youre close.Remember that, despite the daunting scale, Jin Dahaad has not one but two weak points, its Mouth and Chest. Getting to them is the tricky part, but once theyre exposed, you should prioritize them to cause wounds and additional damage to the areas.Get yourself some earplugs for the strong roar attack, which temporarily immobilizes you. You also need to watch out for iceblight, which temporarily increases stamina consumption. You can use a nulberry to counter this, or just evade repeatedly until you remove the condition. Skills like ice and blight resistance will come in handy as well.Theres also frostblight, which temporarily immobilizes you. A cleanser or the bind resistance skill will help. Alternatively, you can move, press buttons, or take a hit to remove the condition, the latter being less than ideal in that situation.Alongside the usual wound control and dodging ice as much as possible, remember to use traps. The key is to try and get the monster to ground as often as possible to make it easier to attack. If its spending a long time in the air, set up a trap and bait it toward you. Every once in a while, you come across a beautiful app that makes you smile whenever you use it. Tinker is one of those apps for me. It allows you to create beautiful analog clock widgets for your iPhone, and its attention to detail is remarkable. It has a few curated designs to get you started, but you can also bring in your own clock faces and customize every aspect of the widget. The best partit works with StandBy mode.In addition to your calendar, the iPhone's StandBy mode lets you view photos, live activities, or a clock when the iPhone is charging in landscape mode, essentially turning it into a convincing substitute for a real alarm clock. Tinker adds far more options for the analog clock widget, and for me, the result is a lot nicer than the clock widgets Apple supplies.I quite like the design language of Tinker, too, which reminds me of the skeuomorphic designs that iOS had embraced until 2014, when iOS 7 moved in a different direction. Tinker's app icons mimic the gears in a watch, and the buttons have a neat brushed metal look. All of this will appeal to the kind of person who enjoys analog watches in this digital age. With Tinker, I've already found a few designs that I'd like to use on the Apple Watch over the included options. Here's hoping Apple caves and lets you use your own watch faces with Tinker some day.

Sometimes, you just don't have enough physical space to store all the photos you've taken over your life, or all your ebooks and work documents. Plus, there is the convenience factor of syncing your files between all the devices that you use, so that a document you drafted up on your iPad can instantly show up on your Mac or your Windows PC.That said, picking a cloud storage service isn't as easy as it used to be. Now that so much of our cloud usage is tied to platforms and ecosystems, your cloud service will really depend on the devices you use.Google OneIf you're all in on the Android or Google ecosystem, Google One would be the best plan for you. With every Google account, you get 15GB storage for free that's distributed between services like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos. But you can add more storage at just $.99 a month for 100GB and $2.99 for 200GB.With Google One, your Photos are backed up to Google automatically, you're able to upload and share large files on Google Drive, and you won't have to worry about running out of storage in Gmail. Google Drive's web app is solid, and there are desktop app options too. Plus, the per TB rates are quite competitive, and even cheaper than Microsoft's. The 2 TB Premium plan might be best for most users. It's $10 per month, or $100 per year, and supports family sharing (as do the cheaper plans). Plus, you get 10% back on purchases from the Google Store and Google Workspace Premium. If 2TB isn't enough, you can add additional storage all the way up to 30TB, though at a cost of up to $150/year.Microsoft 365Microsofts policy of stuffing every possible value-added service into a single plan is still going strong. This is why Microsoft 365 is so popular with businesses. A single plan provides you with access to the entire Office suite and Microsoft Teams for Enterprise, shared with multiple users.Every user gets 5GB OneDrive storage for free, and a Microsoft 365 subscription boosts that up to 1TB. Sadly, unlike with Google One, there are no plans in between these options.While 365's enterprise offerings are popular, the Microsoft 365 Family plan offers a similar package for individuals. This plan supports all the paid Office apps, Copilot AI, and 6TB of storage space, split across 6 accounts, making it a great deal for family users, or for splitting with your friends. It costs $12.99 per month, or $129.99 per year.If you don't want to use multiple accounts, the per TB value for a single account at $9.99/month doesn't make the most sense. In that case, it's better to look at alternatives.iDriveiDrive is a popular choice when it comes to data backups, or storing copies of whole drives on the cloud. But while it's not a pure storage solution, its file sharing and collaboration features make it competitive with the other choices on this list. The service provides a generous 10GB plan for free.A downside is there's no productivity suite built-in here, since individual files aren't really the focus with this service, but a benefit to the backup mindset is that iDrive does provide end-to-end encryption, although it needs to be enabled by the user. And if you forget your encryption key, youll lose access to all your files.Still, you can use iDrive to upload data from your computer, and you can share it with others. The 5TB plan will cost you $69.96 for the first year. Theres also a 10TB plan for $105 for the first year.Proton UnlimitedIf what you're looking for is security, and you don't need a lot of features, Proton might be for you. The Proton Unlimited plan gives you access to Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Docs, and gives you 500GB of storage space for either $12.99 per month or $120 per year. The 1TB Proton Duo plan will cost you $15 per month instead. When it comes to free storage, Proton only offers 1GB space for free users.That's more expensive than established cloud syncing services, but what Proton offers you is extra peace of mind. You get encrypted storage, and no one, including Proton, has access to your files. Plus, the company is based in Switzerland, so strict Swiss privacy rules and laws apply here.SyncSync offers a dependable cloud storage alternative to the big companies. It keeps things extremely simple. It's just about storing and syncing files between devices and between different platforms. There are on add-ons, no mail accounts, no document apps, nothing. Like the good-old days of Dropbox.The free plan gives you 5GB space, and you get 2TB storage for $96/year, which is around the same price as iCloud+ or Google Drive. Here, you get client-side encryption, so Sync can't access your data. Sync offers simple and lightweight apps for Mac and Windows and there are mobile clients, too. Anything you transfer to the Sync folder on your device will show up in your Sync account instantly. There are no file limits here, too. Now that Dropbox has become so bloated (more on that later), Sync offers a simpler alternative that is easy to use.pCloudpCloud is another secure cloud backup provider that has two things going for it. The first is that it offers 10GB of storage space for freethis is way more than most of its competitors. Second is that it offers lifetime cloud storage for a one-time fee. This is a good choice for users who dont like paying a monthly fee.At time of writing, you can get 500GB space for $199 and 2TB storage space for $399. pCloud also has annual plans, but at $99 per year for 2TB storage space, its not something I would recommend (you can get a Google One or iCloud+ plans for the same rate).iCloud+iCloud+ is designed for users in the Apple ecosystem, which is where it makes the most sense. iCloud+ is useful not just as a storage service, but it's where users' settings and device data are backed up, too. If you're all-in on the Apple ecosystem, it might make sense to use iCloud+ as your default cloud storage provider, as it makes it easy to sync photos, videos, and documents from your Mac. iCloud+ is another service that focuses highly on privacy, offering end-to-end encryption.A free iCloud account gets you 5GB storage, and Cloud+ offers flexible plans, too, starting at $0.99 for 50GB storage. The 2TB plan for $9.99 per month or $99 per year might be the sweet spot for most users, as it comes with family sharing (the 200GB plan can be shared with family as well). Though, I wouldn't recommend iCloud+ if you're even slightly cross-platform, or you want to frequently access files from the web browser, as the Windows app and the iCloud+ website are not great, especially when compared to the rivals on this list.Why I don't recommend DropboxOne name that's missing from this list is Dropbox. In the previous decade, Dropbox became the go-to option for simple, cross-platform storage that didn't cost a king's ransom, or even anything at all. Now, a free Dropbox account can only run on three devices, is limited to 2GB data, and has lower transfer speeds compared to their paid plans.The app has also pivoted to being more business focused, with lots of support for third-party integration. Its storage plans are no longer the cheapest or the most varied. The 2TB plan costs $11.99/month while both iCloud and Google One are cheaper. The simple-to-use aspect is gone as well. The Mac app, for example, has faced so many issues with reliability that we recommend you use a third-party app instead. Combine all these issues, and it no longer makes sense to use Dropbox in a personal capacity.

One day after X went down for hours, security researchers are throwing cold water on Elon Musks public comments about who might be behind the DDoS attack. On Monday, as X was still struggling to remain online, Musk said in a post that the site had been brought down by a massive cyberattack executed by a large, coordinated group and/or a country. Later that day, in an interview with Fox News, he said the attack involved "IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area."He never provided evidence for either claim. But, in a new report from Wired, security researchers offered a very different view on the attack. Security experts interviewed by the publication said that they had seen little evidence that Ukrainian IP addresses played a significant role in the DDoS attack, with one researcher saying the country wasnt even in the top 20 countries of origin involved.The report also suggests that, despite Musks assertion there were a lot of resources involved, X may have inadvertently left its systems susceptible to a DDoS attack like the one that happened Monday. X origin servers, which respond to web requests, weren't properly secured behind the company's Cloudflare DDoS protection and were publicly visible, Wired writes. As a result, attackers could target them directly. X has since secured the servers.Notably, this wouldnt be the first time Musk has blamed an unspecified cyberattack when faced with an embarrassing failure of Xs systems. Last year, Musk blamed a massive DDoS attack for crashing a planned livestream with Donald Trump, who was running for president at the time. Musk never explained how a DDoS attack could bring down only one feature on the site.
