After years of complaints from rural players, Pokmon Go adds a new challenge that city-dwellers may now struggle withUrban mythical.Image credit: Niantic News by Tom Phillips Editor-in-Chief Published on March 13, 2025 It's a fact: Pokmon Go is much easier to play in a city or large town. There are more gyms and PokStop locations to interact with, more Pokmon that spawn, more fellow players to battle alongside. For years, rural players have complained the game is harder for them in comparison. Now, finally, it's the turn of those who live in busier areas to complain. The latest set of challenges to obtain an ultra-rare Shiny Meloetta in Pokmon Go include the requirement to hold a bronze Showcase Star medal, something that means a player needs to have placed first in a PokStop Showcase. This is an easy task in remote areas - where essentially you can enter a Pokmon into a Showcase tournament, and be the only person to do so, automatically winning. But in built-up areas, Showcases can attract hundreds of entrants, making your chances of winning much harder. For some players who've already bought the Shiny Meloetta ticket (sold for 4.99 earlier this month), it's proved an unexpected sticking point in their progress. For others, who live in the countryside, it's provided an easy step forward."Bronze medal only requires one win," wrote a fan on Pokmon Go reddit TheSilphRoad, "yet some people struggle cause cities like Singapore are so dense and popular with PoGo that Showcases fill up very fast and you can't even enter it.""Well so much for that," wrote another fan. "I have tried for over a year and never won a single showcase.""Just let us rural players have this one win and don't be a sook," said a third. "Literally every other aspect of the game is better in the city."The solution? Over the 21 days it'll take to complete the other steps in this next set of challenges, fans say those wishing to push forward should consider a day trip to somewhere a bit quieter to get that Showcase victory sorted.Yesterday, Niantic confirmed it was selling Pokmon Go to Monopoly Go giant Scopely in a deal worth $3.5bn. The move has sparked concern from fans over the game's future, something the game's development team has attempted to assuage.

Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereMarvel Rivals players are excited and thinking about what the future holds after a rough Season 1 where rank changes were a big deal. At first, NetEase planned a rank reset in the middle of Season 1.5 on February 21 to make things more competitive. The community spoke out against the reset, though, because they thought it would undo all their hard work, so the devs changed their mind. Instead, ranks stayed the same, and new rewards like Human Torch Blood Blaze skin and Invisible Woman Blood Shield skin were added to keep people playing. At first, this choice was praised, but now some players are regretting it as they say that the lack of a reset has made higher ranks like Grandmaster less important because they have become too easy to get.Now that Season 1.5 is nearing its end and heroes like The Human Torch and The Thing have been introduced, the attention turns to the next rank reset. If youre wondering when the next Rank Reset will take place, weve got the info right here. There are 9 Competitive Ranks in Marvel Rivals players can climb up to become a pro. Captured by VideoGamer. When is the next Marvel Rivals rank reset?According to leaks, the next Marvel Rivals update will reset the competitive ranks, which will occur in Season 2, which is set to start around April 11. NetEase has hinted at a full rank reset to start the new season, which would fit with the leaked speculated idea of the Hellfire Gala and the possibility of X-Men coming to the roster.Usually a rank reset means right before the update your rank will be locked in and you wont be able to progress along it any further. Then once the new season begins, youll need to climb your way through ranks from the Bronze level. This means that youll have until April 11 to unlock all the free rewards you can claim by climbing up ranks in the Marvel Rivals competitive game mode. However, as the competitive scene changes, players are getting ready for a new start and are eager to move up the ranks in what looks like it will be an exciting next chapter for Marvel Rivals.Marvel RivalsPlatform(s):macOS, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series XGenre(s):Fighting, ShooterRelated TopicsMarvel Rivals Subscribe to our newsletters!By subscribing, you agree to our Privacy Policy and may receive occasional deal communications; you can unsubscribe anytime.Share

Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereMarvel Rivals players are finding inventive methods to outwit opponents and claim victory. From utilizing map terrain to mastering hero synergy, the community is buzzing with innovative strategies that take gameplay beyond the fundamentals.Whether its a well-timed ultimate combination or a stealthy flank, these strategies are assisting gamers in climbing the ranks and dominating lobbies. Recent upgrades, including the Season 1.5 mid-season patch, have brought new heroes such as Human Torch and The Thing, sparking greater experimentation. The games broad pool of 37 characters divided into Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists provides limitless possibilities, but its the intelligent use of settings and character kits that distinguishes the rookies from legends. As the meta evolves, players discover that little changes in strategy can lead to major wins, particularly in competitive mode where every edge counts. Want to step up your game? Look at these three underrated settings for heroes who can help you sharpen your edge and become a Marvel Rivals expert.Change these Marvel Rivals settings for Loki, Jeff, and The Thing to become betterMarvel Rivals players often tend to focus on meta and gameplay tricks that make them better at winning matches. However, half the reason behind a successful Rivals game lies behind the character setting each player has in Combat settings.Change this setting to check the hero youre changing your Ult to as Loki. Image by VideoGamer.Change this setting to instantly stomp without dashing with The Thing. Image by VideoGamer.Changing this setting allows Jeff to directly start climbing vertically. Image by VideoGamer.PreviousNext1 of 3PreviousNextAmong tons of settings, these three heroes, namely Loki, The Thing, and Jeff The Land Shark each have a setting that is overlooked by players thats preventing them from winning as that character. Starting with Loki, head to your Keyboard settings, and under Combat, choose Loki as the Hero. Then scroll all the way down to Hero settings and enable Double Confirmation for God of Mischief. This setting notifies you which hero youre going to transform into while using your Ult and demands you to double confirm and prevents misclick. Now heres The Thing. Hes a brute tank that is often hard to use by some players who prefer more movement and less brute force. So head to his Hero settings and enable Hold to Dash. This allows you to smash the LShift button that will register a huge stomp on the ground that will stun your enemies instantly without having to dash past them. Finally theres Jeff. If you want to use his wall climbing abilities more efficiently, change the Direction of Wall Crawling setting to Advance Vertically Upwards so whenever you press the Crawl button with Jeff, he can advance up when youre in front of a wall.Upon using these settings, your game will instantly improve and youll dominate Marvel Rivals lobbies in no time. • Jake Arnolds Latest Crate & Barrel Collection Celebrates Coastal Kids and Outdoor Furniture
    www.architecturaldigest.com
A coastal influence is evident throughout. I didnt want it to be too thematic, but I was thinking about Under the Sea as the undertone, Arnold shares. I wanted to bring in some of those nautical elements without it feeling too on the nose. The line includes a wicker iris clam shell table lamp, striped coral reef-inspired quilt, and Coastline sheet set covered in sea critters. Brauer adds that Jake has a refined way of weaving storytelling into design, noting that the subtle nods to the sea make the collection feel both serene and imaginative.Arnold is especially proud of the little details that elevate the pieces, from the piping on the scalloped Hatsby accent chair to the mint green trim on the Hawes oak modular storage unit. His favorite design, however, is the Thurloe dresser with ample storage. I love the vintage-inspired drop hardware in antique brass and the playful bun feet, but also the shape overall, he says. The counter is spacious enough to use as a changing table, but it doesn't feel bulky because of the curve.Arnold next to the Townsend teak and limestone dining table. I took a lot of references from old Swedish primitive dining tables that tend to have more of that silhouette on the leg base, he shares. And then the travertine top with the ogee edge feels more like an interior table detail.Courtesy of Crate & BarrelBring in flavors of the Italian countryside with the Harpen metal dining arm chair. The tenant of a good chair, especially a dining chair, is something that serves as a beautiful sculptural piece on its own, against a wall, or in a corner, Arnold says.Courtesy of Crate & BarrelWhen designing the outdoor collection, Arnold combined Hollywood Regency glamour with English countryside elegance to evoke a sense of high-brow escapism. I wanted to create that feeling that you get when youre on vacationwhy can you not have that every day? he asks. My design intent was making people feel transported, whether you have a little bistro table on a terrace or a huge outdoor space. The Harpen metal dining set is a standout, notes Brauer. The fresh sage hue feels rooted in nature, while the vintage-inspired brass details give it an heirloom quality. Its the perfect balance of old and new, refined and relaxedeverything Jake does so well. Place it on a sun-drenched terrace or a cozy urban patio for effortless elegance.Courtesy of Crate & BarrelTo eschew the tired trope of matchy-matchy patio furniture, Arnold blended styles materials, much like he would in an interior. The Hartford outdoor sofa and lounge chair, which feature romantic latticed teak frames, contrast beautifully with the minimalist, monolithic Parker stone coffee table and antique-style burnished bronze lanterns. I wanted to bring the indoors out, he says. Some of Arnolds most beloved pieces from the collection are the Harpen sage green metal chaise lounge, with its airy loop feet, the Townsend teak and limestone dining table, which features a classic ogee edge, and the Cobden teak umbrella, which slides into the Felix wicker umbrella side table for convenient cocktail drinking in the shade. Hes also fond of the shatterproof tabletop items like the Milanese-esque wicker metal pitcher and the octagonal double-wall ice bucket for their element of refinement that still feels down-to-earth, thanks to their contemporary silhouettes. Arnold strikes the right balance every time.Jake Arnold for Crate & Kids and Jake Arnold for Crate & Barrel are available for purchase on crateandbarrel.com today.

  • Teslas decline in value could be unprecedented in automotive industry: JPMorgan By market capitalisation, Tesla has lost $795bn since December 17, or 53.7 per cent
    www.businessinsider.com
2025-03-13T02:37:48Z Read in app Elon Musk's involvement with the Trump administration has some analysts concerned that the CEO isn't spending enough time running his companies. Apu Gomes/Getty Images This story is available exclusively to Business Insider subscribers. Become an Insider and start reading now.Have an account? About 48% of Tesla's market capitalization was wiped out in a matter of months. The decline came amid sagging sales and concerns about leadership, namely its CEO, Elon Musk.JPMorgan analysts said they couldn't find "anything analogous in the history of the automotive industry."Tesla has lost so much value in such a short period of time that JPMorgan analysts said they couldn't think of another comparable moment in automotive history."We struggle to think of anything analogous in the history of the automotive industry, in which a brand has lost so much value so quickly," they wrote, adding that the closest example was when Japanese and Korean car brands lost sales amid "diplomatic disputes" with China in 2012 and 2017, respectively. The JPMorgan analysts wrote in a note on Wednesday that those historical cases were "confined to a single market, whereas the decline in Tesla sales in 2025 is not specific to any one nation or geography."JPMorgan analysts cut their price target on Tesla by about 41% from $230.58 to $135, lowering guidance on vehicle deliveries for the first quarter of 2025 to about 355,000 an 8% year-over-year decrease from the first quarter of 2024.From December to Wednesday after trading hours, Tesla lost nearly 49% of its market cap, seeing its peak value of $1.54 trillion from the end of last year fall to about $777 billion. This steep drop has come as Tesla experiences a global decline in sales and branding issues stemming from its chief executive's politics. For a moment, Elon Musk's big bet on Donald Trump seemed to pay off. Tesla was the only EV company to see itsstock surgeafter the president's electoral victory in November. The underlying assumption appeared to be that Musk's company could benefit if the Tesla CEO had the ear of the new administration and guided the White House's efforts to slash government spending. Now, that assumption is being challenged in some analysts' latest guidance, which notes a possible headwind in demand because of Musk's work with the Trump administration."Mr. Musk's work with the Department of Government Efficiency has proven controversial domestically, and while as many members of the political right may be pleased as those on the left are displeased, the effect on Tesla sales seems nevertheless negative," JPMorgan analysts wrote. In recent weeks, Tesla showrooms across the US have seen protests and a string of vandalism incidents. Trump has rushed to Tesla's defense and said he'd consider labeling the perpetrators domestic terrorists.Outside brand reputation, some analysts are also concerned that Musk's focus on political affairs is again distracting the CEO from his core businesses."After all, the simultaneous decline in both Tesla pricing and unit volume expectations did coincide with his takeover of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter," JPMorgan analysts pointed out.Morgan Stanley analysts wrote in a note on Monday that Tesla shares had fallen because of "sales data, negative brand sentiment, and market de-grossing" but that they still saw a buying opportunity for the company."Today, with the stock down 50%, our investor conversations are focused on management distraction, brand degradation, and lost auto sales," analysts said.A spokesperson for Tesla didn't respond to a request for comment.Despite the company's losses, Tesla remains the most valuable car company in the world.Second to Tesla is the legacy automaker Toyota, which has a $292 billion market cap.Morgan Stanley analysts noted several "catalysts" in the company's pipeline, including Tesla's robotaxi, expected to hit Austin roads later this summer, and another demonstration of Optimus, the humanoid robot anticipated before the end of the year. But expectations forTesla's delivery timelinesmay have to be tempered, given that the CEO has a history of missing his own deadlines.
