NEWS.XBOX.COMSurvival Tips For Revenge of the Savage Planet, Available TodayCategory: GamesMay 5, 2025 Survival Tips For Revenge of the Savage Planet, Available Today Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director, Raccoon Logic Beginning today, you and a friend can blast-off with 4th Best Kindred Aerospace in our sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet… Revenge of the Savage Planet! We’ve expanded the world and their unique inhabitants all for your guaranteed* gameplay pleasure. We have four, maybe even five new planets for you to explore. And while you may have just been fired and abandoned on the far edges of space with no gear, no job and no plan, there’s no need to panic. We’re here to provide you with some advice on how you might be able to survive these savage planets. You’ll have new gadgets, friends and loads of goo to play with. So, take a peek at our new early access launch trailer showcasing the daily struggle of being a space explorer trying to save all of mankind. No pressure, settler. You got this! Available Day One on Game Pass For all of you who played our first Xbox Game Pass title Journey to the Savage Planet, tell your friends that we’ve got twice the game this time with space loads of new toys for you to enjoy. And it’s co-op from the start! Plus, as a friendly reminder of our contractual obligations with Microsoft, Revenge of the Savage Planet will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass. So, accept this text as a formal invitation to join us on a joyous, upbeat, dystopian action-adventure sci-fi satire where you and a friend explore a wacky and wonderful alien world. Hit a bunch of buttons to jump, shoot and collect your way through four vibrant planets, collecting new gear and upgrades, while uncovering a multitude of hidden secrets. Goo and Gadgets Galore To survive you must either be lucky, or have some sort of strategy. But on arrival, most of your equipment doesn’t work, or you can’t find it. To progress and advance through the world you’ll need to collect and craft the right gear to continue to explore and discover more areas. Grab that handy whip which doubles as a lasso to capture creatures for fun and profit! Spray ferrous goo to power up electrically deficient objects. Set green slime alight with lava goo. Or just clean your stuff with the basic power hose. Or grapple your way atop cliffs with a plasma tether before whipping a plasma rail to live then surfing it to freedom. Scan, Scan, and Then Scan Some More The worlds of Savage Planet are filled with dangers and opportunities! If you scan everything, you’ll unlock future quests, discover obstacles that hide great rewards, and generally understand what’s going on in the world around you. Oh, and it will highlight weak spots on some creatures which you will need to target if you want to capture them with your whip and keep them as pets. Or objects of experimentation that can unlock new gear. Plus, you may also get a pithy joke. And some of them are funny! Also, I worked hard on writing 300 descriptions of distressingly similar trees. Don’t make me regret it. Cute, Cuddly Killers There are just over 70 different creatures in this Savage Planet star system… although that includes variations of each species. There are a bunch of those weird spherical ones, for example. Lots of creatures won’t bother you if you don’t bother them, (this isn’t a shooter), tut some of them will put up a fight, and all of them will react differently to your tools. Make them slide off cliffs with green goo. Make the green ones explode with fire! Or electrocute some with Ferro Goo. And when in doubt, kick it. Each time you play alien roulette you’ll run your chances, maybe the reward was worth it? You’ve never know what will respond and how. Do it! Do it! Dive in to Explore Every Nook and Cranny Cannon Ball! Yes, you can and should take a dip. Swimming is key to exploring but even if you don’t need to, you should because you can be Dave The Diver! Or rather, you can wear a skin that looks like him, like a space faring Buffalo Bill from “Silence of the Lambs”, except you didn’t kill him and it’s a space suit. This is the only time you can play as Dave on Xbox and we’ve brought him to life in full 3D. Lucky you! Game Pass Upgrade For Early Access Xbox Game Pass members will receive the super simple Revenge of the Savage Planet Standard Edition on May 8th. But if privilege is what you seek, utilize the Cosmic Hoarder Edition upgrade and blast-off three days early beginning today, May 5. Wishlist, pre-order or purchase now. Thank you for supporting Raccoon Logic and joining us on another wild space adventure. Onward & Upward. Revenge of the Savage Planet Raccoon Logic Studios Inc. ☆☆☆☆☆ 38 ★★★★★ Get it now WELCOME TO THE PIONEER PROGRAM! In a future knocked off its axis by corporate greed and stupidity, you have been made redundant and abandoned on the far edge of space with little gear and no safety net. NEWS.XBOX.COMEverafter Falls 2.0 – A Year in Listening and TwistingWhen Everafter Falls was released almost a year ago, we always knew that the game was going to be changing – what we didn’t know was how different it would look after talking with our players. Today, we released a new major content update, which went to some surprising places. Before talking about what’s new in the update, I think it is important to go back about a year and talk about the initial release of Everafter Falls. And just to introduce myself: I’m Joseph Shockley, otherwise known as Riv Otter, the Community Manager for Akupara Games. Everafter Falls is the first farming sim we ever released, and we saw feedback from a wide variety of players. To gather feedback, I opened a channel in the Everafter Falls Discord where people could discuss, suggest, and see the thoughts of what other players were after. I also kept an eye on the Steam forums and stayed active in them to show that we care about their feedback and that we will take it seriously. Because Everafter Falls was developed by just one developer, we knew that getting insight from players was going to be core to the game’s release. Our first surprise came from the completionists in the community. They talked about how hard and frustrating it is to collect every item and raise every insect to finish out the journal. There wasn’t a way to improve your chances of finding what you needed, so the more players put hours into collection, the harder it became to clear out every last item. Some people were just getting super unlucky and failing to get that missing item after retrying for hundreds of times, and there wasn’t a way to improve those odds. As soon as we noticed the bottleneck this was creating for completionist players, it was clear we needed to add something to help. In the version 2.0 patch, there are two new items that should help completionists gather the last missing items they need: The Golden Shroom Terrarium: a prize item and will give you a 100% chance to get a shroom you haven’t already gotten. The Epic Critter Terrarium: lets you breed only insects you haven’t currently found. Specifically, creating hard-to-craft late-game chase items that can help players fill out their collections was an easy way we could answer the call for this. In Everafter Falls, players can decorate their farm and house with different ornamentation. We always knew that giving players purely cosmetic options for their farms would be helpful, but the community was so excited for all the different options they had to really express their creativity in their farm. Even positive feedback can be used as a guide to improve the game in a content patch, which is why, with positive feedback on the variety of decorations that Everafter Falls had, this content update added an abundance of new adornments, and we’ve already seen players adding them to their farm and house. We received a ton of feedback, which I categorized as quality of life requests. Things that don’t directly affect the game but are nice to have for certain tasks, and can make the events more accessible for people. For example, there is an achievement in the game to craft every single item; however, at release, there was no way to keep track of which items you had crafted, making the achievement annoying to try to shoot for. In version 2.0, we remedied that by adding a blue star in the crafting menu for any item the player has crafted. No more Google Sheets or pen and paper tracking needed! There are countless things I could talk about in this content update and how player feedback shaped the way this was developed. Learning how to take the feedback players give you and using them to guide a content update really scratches the itch that designers have to create engaging experiences with their games. I’m glad that I could help shape the course of the Everafter Falls 2.0 update, which is out now on Xbox! Everafter Falls Akupara Games ☆☆☆☆☆ 12 ★★★★★ $19.99 Get it now Free Trial You once had a serene and peaceful existence right here in Everafter Falls. Don't you remember? You wake up to discover your previous life was nothing but a simulation. You've no memory of this place, your quaint animal neighbors, the refreshing wind and fragrant flowers, the little farm you had tucked away just outside town, none of it. But once you spend a little time with your forgotten friends and your helpful pet, doesn't Everafter Falls just feel perfect? Isn't it where you always wanted to be? Sure, you'll need to farm, fish and fight your way back to prominence in the tiny, cozy town, but you know your way around a sword, right? You know how to water your farm and progress through the dungeons. You know how to upgrade your stats and beat back tougher and tougher enemies, don't you? Just give those cards a good chomp and you'll have everything you need! Of course, if you need a little help, don't worry! Automated drones can expand your inventory, tend to your harvest, and even help you fight. And your pet missed you more than anything while you were under. They're here to help out around the farm, learning all sorts of neat things, like tilling your soil, watering your crops, and even teleporting you across the map. What? You've never heard of a teleporting cat before? It's Everafter Falls! Things are peaceful here. There's nothing to worry about… right? OVERWATCH.BLIZZARD.COMThe Past, Present, and Future of Overwatch 2’s StadiumAaron Keller - Blizzard Entertainment | May 1, 2025ShareShareTweet68 CommentsHi everyone! We've loved hearing your enthusiasm for Stadium and most of all, we've loved watching you all play it. There’s already been so much creativity with builds. Not that we were surprised by that—we knew you wouldn’t disappoint! Before I get into current changes and future developments, I'd like to give a little history of Stadium in hopes that it will give you some context as to where it’s headed. Plus, I like the title "Past, Present, and Future”! Past Stadium emerged as an idea before Overwatch 2 launched. In fact, before it was presented to the team, one of my kids created the first pitch document with a sample level and presented it to me! Stadium has come a long way since then, but I always think of my son when playing. Early versions looked a little different from the mode you’re playing today. Stadium was initially focused on providing as much variety as possible. It was set up as an eight-team tournament. Each round, players picked from random upgrades to use in combat phases of Team Deathmatch or versus AI, losing health if they lost the round. But it was difficult to create a coherent strategy or builds to counter opponents when the decisions were made through random selection. This change into the format you see today reflects a shift in our thinking: we still want there to be variety from match to match in Stadium, but variety is no longer the highest priority. We want you to feel balanced and competitive, while making epic builds through strategic choices based on the performance and Hero compositions of everyone in the match. Present Speaking of keeping things balanced and competitive, the team is already planning tweaks based on the feedback and data we’ve received since launch. While we often see a big spike in play time shortly after a sparkly new event launches, play time in Stadium has been a bit stickier. In its first week, roughly 50% of all play hours in Overwatch 2 were devoted to Stadium! When it comes to builds and Hero balance, we’ll be collecting data over the next few weeks to see what changes need to be made for the midseason balance patch, if not earlier. There are many gears turning behind the scenes when it comes to Stadium. The development team answered some of your burning questions in a Reddit AMA earlier this week and we’ll be sharing more insights and Stadium data in a special Director’s Take next week! Future If you like playing Stadium, you'll be happy to know that we have a lot of big plans for it. There will be seasonal updates to Stadium which will include the release of new Heroes, maps, game modes, systems and features, as well as the usual care we put into other modes of Overwatch. What’s coming to Stadium over the next two seasons? A lot! The team just put out an extensive roadmap for Stadium that shows more of our future plans for the mode. Heroes: Our newest addition to the Overwatch roster will also be the first new Hero added Freja is headed to Stadium and she'll arrive with the Season 16 midseason patch. But she's not the only Hero on the way! We'll have new Heroes added every Season, since we think adding new heroes is critically important for Stadium. Each time we've released a new addition internally, they’ve totally shifted the meta and the way we thought about putting together a build. Game Modes: We’re planning on releasing a new game mode within Stadium named Payload Race and two brand-new maps will launch with it. On top of that, we’ll be integrating a new mechanic that we’ve been calling “Quests” internally. At the start of each match, players will select from a random set of quests that will dole out rewards once objectives are completed. Systems: While we're really excited for new content in Stadium, we think systems that influence the way you put a build together can have an even greater impact. In Season 17, we’ll be releasing a build importer and exporter. This will not only allow players to put together builds outside of a Stadium match and then select them inside a match, it will also allow players to select from community builds as well. You’ve also made your voices heard on a topic that’s very important to all of us: Cross-Play! Since Stadium has a competitive system, it follows the rules of our core competitive mode, which doesn’t allow PC and Console players to group. Since this is the only way to play the mode, we agree, and we’d like to do something about it. We’re currently investigating what it would take to make an unranked version of the mode. This would allow groups of friends to play together and would give us the ability to make other changes as well, possibly introducing a best-of-5 format to the mode. Before signing off, I'd like to reiterate the team’s commitment to the other core modes of Overwatch. We’re still pouring as much time, energy and passion into these as we always have. Stadium isn't competing for those resources: it’s giving us more opportunities to deliver Overwatch in a new, exciting way. We can't wait for you to see what's coming there, especially Season 18. It's going to be a banger! Have fun with Stadium and, as always, let’s make a great game. 68 Comments0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views

NEWS.XBOX.COMTowerborne Arrives on Xbox Today – Five Tips to Help You “Ace” Your AdventureCategory: GamesApril 29, 2025 Towerborne Arrives on Xbox Today – Five Tips to Help You “Ace” Your Adventure Danielle Partis It’s finally time –Towerborne arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Xbox Cloud and with Game Pass today! To celebrate the looter-brawler’s entrance into Xbox Game Preview, we’ve compiled some tips and tricks to get you started on your Ace adventure. Experiment! While Towerborne is easy for anyone to pick up and play, there is a satisfying depth to its combat systems – and combinations of skills and attacks you’ll only uncover by experimenting with each of the four classes. While each class has a “theme” defined by the weapon type, there’s versatility in how you can play with them. Even if you think you’ll prefer a certain loadout, it’s worth giving them all a go, and with Towerborne’s frictionless class-swapping and re-spec options, changing your mind (and your build) is an absolute breeze. Build for Success The new Class Mastery Update (which we covered in-depth last week) gives even more versatility to each class in Towerborne. There’s now countless more ways to play with each weapon, with the addition of new skill trees that let you hone a specific playstyle. Sentinel can be a fast and offensive frontline attacker, but it can also be sturdy and defensive. Some builds can focus heavily on dealing raw damage, while others can lean more towards a support build, lifting your teammates. Here’s a few examples across each of the available classes: Bleed Build: The Sentinel class comes with several skills that deal or enhance bleed, which deals slow damage to enemies you’ve hit over time. The ‘Bloodlust’ skill lets you deal 10% more damage against bleeding enemies, and the ‘Sanguine Burst’ skill enables your heavy combo to consume all bleed stacks, triggering an explosion that deals massive damage. Sear Build: The Pyroclast is all about inflicting burndamage, but there’s a few ways to build upon that. The skill ‘Persistent Pyre’ will increase the duration of your Sear damage, and when your Sear skill is active, you’ll be able to pull off moves like ‘Ember Cyclone’, a stylish airborne attack, and ‘Ember Spike’, which delivers a long-range tremor that explodes on the closest enemy. Powderkeg Build: The Rockbreaker already packs a punch, but you can amplify its impact even more now. Stacking “Quick Charge” skills to make your Powderkeg Punch charge faster, which is always great. The skill “Cracking Skulls” gives you a fully charged Powderkeg Punch if you break an enemy’s Break Bar. Couple that with “Cracking Knuckles” and you’re able to gain a full charge by Block Breaking an enemy. You can even do the weapon mechanic in the air now or transform it into a lunging attack with the “Bare Knuckles Blast” skill. If you’re a fan of big punches, then this is a great way to build your Rockbreaker. Projectile Frenzy Build: This is a super fun Shadowstriker that revolves around the power of projectiles. The “Shooting Stars” skill unlocks a handful of kunai, and the “Shadow Feint Ammo” skills increase your ammo count so that you can use your Weapon Mechanic more often, allowing you to launch projectiles all over the place. The “Shadowsting” Skill is what really sets this build apart though – this modifies your Weapon Mechanic in a way where you no longer teleport, but it costs half the weapon meter to use and deals poison. If you’re the type of player who likes to alternate between mid to long range combat, this is the skill set for you. Support Build: Healers are the underrated heroes of any party, but in Towerborne, any of the four available classes can spec out into a support character. There are skills that can upgrade how much health your healing flasks give back, increase how many you carry, and even an ability that lets other players benefit from your healing if they’re nearby. Anyone can pick up these skills providing they’re a high enough level, and the ability to swap and change skills at the click of a button means no one is indefinitely locked into that support role (unless you want to be, of course!). Take Your Time, Memorize The Moves Gobos are not stealthy or subtle creatures, but some of the nastier ones do pack quite a punch. In more difficult fights, there’s no shame in holding back for just a moment to work out how your enemy is going to attack, and what you can do to combat it. Lots of Gobo moves come with signals that indicate what they’re about to do, whether it’s a long-range projectile, a swift claw hit or a sluggish tail thwack. Keeping an eye on the battlefield and recognising their patterns means you’ll be able to dodge and weave, find windows to attack, and most importantly, avoid taking damage so you can save your Mender’s (healing) Flasks for more unpredictable battles later in the mission. Taste of Their Own Medicine It’s not just your weapons that can deal damage to gobos and goons – you can take advantage of their gear too. As an example, some gobos carry bombs to throw at you, and a swift enough hit will knock them off course, causing them to drop the projectile at their own feet. The gobos also won’t move to avoid the damage, instead opting to cover their eyes and pray, so it’s a great way to finish a few off, or buy some time while you’re cleaning up the field. Some levels will also include environmental hazards, like thorns or exploding barrels. Baiting a gobo into hitting a barrel will not end well for them, and that’s another way to deal big damage if your weapon is preoccupied with other targets. It’s also just extremely satisfying, every single time. Umbra Abilities Not only are Umbra cute little companions, they also come loaded with different powerful abilities that’ll assist your Ace in battle. Your first Umbra, Iska, offers a long-range projectile to complement the close-range combat that most classes start with. As you progress, you’ll uncover opportunities to earn new Umbra. Pox, for example, unlocks new aerial combos, while Picus can ignite the environment around them in a ring of fire. Each one is super unique, and their abilities can either enhance your playstyle, or add a refreshing contrasting perk to your skillset. We can’t wait to see you in the Belfry and hope these tips will aid you well on your first adventures throughout the world of Towerborne. Prepare for a wealth of new content in the mid-season update coming to Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone™, bringing new maps, modes, events, Loadout items, and more, including new features on Verdansk like a moving train and High Value Loot Zones. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 03 Reloaded arrives on Thursday, May 1 at 9AM PT across all platforms. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Season 03 Reloaded Multiplayer Content Summary Two New Maps: Travel to an estate turned KGB safehouse in the mid-sized Haven, seeking out targets across the sprawling grounds and lavish interiors. In the new Signal Strike map, revisit the infamous Numbers Station as Operators battle above and below the water. Join Operations LTM: Test your endurance in a new multi-mode LTM complete with special breaks that introduce gameplay modifiers to every Operator in the field. New Perk: Seek out the enemy who eliminated you with the new Vendetta Perk, marking them out for elimination. Multiplayer Maps Haven Brand-New, Core, 6v6, Medium-Sized Head to a KBG safehouse established in a neglected estate, its aesthetics forgotten in favor of its usefulness as a base of operations. Fight for control of the command center built up in the old Ballroom and view an impressive array of armaments brought into the Hall. Reams of cable connect running generators and supplies at the Entrance promise an extended stay. Signal Brand-New, Strike, 6v6/2v2, Small-Sized Turn the clock back to 1968 when Pantheon moles infiltrated the Numbers Station, where water floods in through a breach in the walls and flames lap the upper walkways. Engage enemies in the central Broadcast center or fight through the flashing lights and alarms of the Control room. When things get heated, drop into the water below and swim behind enemy lines. Ride to victory in a blaze of glory in Joint Operations, a gauntlet that challenges players across a series of Multiplayer mode variants including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Order, and Kill Confirmed. Catch your breath during breaks throughout the match, shifting the play of the game by adding modifiers that effect every Operator, including a +420 Score Bonus, 3rd Person, Visual Impairment, Double Health, Hardcore, Paranoia Sounds, Low Gravity, Double Jump, and Increased Movement Speed. Battle in 6v6 across all five modes, their order randomized at the start of each match. Compete for two minutes in each mode, ending when one team reaches the Score Limit or at the conclusion of all five modes. The team with the most points wins the game. Seek vengeance on the Operator who eliminated you with a new Multiplayer Perk that encourages payback. New Perk Perk: Vendetta Perk Slot: 2 Type: Recon (Blue) Available: Season 03 Reloaded Blaze of Glory Event Reward On respawn, mark your killer’s last known position for a short duration. Get a bonus score for eliminating that enemy. The Vigilance Perk counters being marked by Vendetta. Returning Field Upgrade: Freeze the undead in their tracks with the Frost Blast Field Upgrade, complete with researchable Major and Minor Augments that further empower the blizzard attack. Shattered Veil – Directed Mode: Directed Mode arrives for Shattered Veil, providing round cap limitations and extra guidance when tackling the Main Quest. Get in the Flow in Zombie Snacks Whet your appetite in the Zombie Snacks limited-time mode, challenging Operators to keep their energy reserves up while aiming to enter a flow state, providing extra power for slaying the undead. Play Zombie Snacks on all five maps, including Shattered Veil, The Tomb, Citadelle des Morts, Terminus, and Liberty Falls, in both Standard and Directed playlists with the following gameplay changes: Energy Meter: In Zombie Snacks, your Operator’s health bar is replaced with an energy meter which depletes when taking damage or moving. The energy meter does not passively recharge. For that, you need food. In Standard, your energy depletes when moving or taking damage. Jumping, mantling, sliding, and diving all deplete energy on use. In Directed Mode, your energy only depletes when taking damage. Replenish your energy by eating snacks (+50), drinking Perks (+150), or chewing a GobbleGum (+50). Other health-based features will also refill energy, such as the Stimshot (+50) and the Light Mend Ammo Mod (+5 per glyph, +10 with the Extra Strength Augment). The Jugger-Nog Perk will increase your total energy bar. Food Items: Eat food to partially replenish your energy meter, dropped by downed enemies and found throughout the map. Specials, Elites, and HVTs are guaranteed to drop three snack items. Refrigerator Powerup: When activated, all eliminated zombies will drop food items for a short period of time. Nobody’s going hungry when this Power-Up drops. Flow Mode: Eliminate 10 zombies without taking damage to enter a flow state. Operators in the flow inflict plenty of extra damage and gain special boosts, such as improved handling and movement. Take any damage, and the flow state is lost. We suggest you turn up your music for this one. Earn GobbleGum rewards upon the first completion of the Main Quest in Standard or Directed Mode on any map: Directed: A custom collection of 4 GobbleGums per map. Each contains one high-rarity GobbleGum and 3 GobbleGums of other rarities. 15,000 XP per map, for a total of 75,000 XP across all maps. Standard: A custom collection of 6 GobbleGums per map. Additional Field Upgrade: Frost Blast Available: In-Season Blaze of Glory Event Reward Create a blizzard that deals lethal frost damage on activation and slows enemies that enter it. This Field Upgrade can be used in all five Zombies maps along with the previously accessible Field Upgrades, assuming it is chosen as part of your Loadout, or swapped via the menu during a game. Frost Blast: Major Augments Research the following Augments to further customize the Field Upgrade. Ice Slick Enemies within the blizzard may be knocked down. Frost Cast The blizzard moves forward when activated. Flash Freeze Normal enemies within the blizzard will be frozen solid and are killed when damaged. Frost Blast: Minor Augments Extension Significantly increases blizzard duration. Frostbite Increase damage to frozen enemies. Extra Charge Increase max charges by one. Get some extra guidance when taking on the Main Quest in Shattered Veil with the arrival of Directed Mode in Season 03 Reloaded. Head to Colton Hall in the wooded hills above Liberty Falls and deliver the Sentinel Artifact to S.A.M. with a maximum round cap of 15. Battle the Elder Disciple and its empowered minions, and keep your ears peeled for Toxic Zombies, which screech as they rush your position and explode, leaving a damaging pool of acid in their wake. Fight back with the upgraded Ray Gun Mark II and burst enemies apart with the Microwave Trap. In the halls and grounds of this old mansion, the team will need every advantage they can get. Ever wanted to wield the Ray Gun Mark II as an additional Wonder Weapon on Liberty Falls, or maybe Citadelle des Morts? With Season 03 Reloaded, now you can. NEWS.XBOX.COMA Note from Stoic – Towerborne Arrives on Xbox TodayCategory: GamesApril 29, 2025 A Note from Stoic – Towerborne Arrives on Xbox Today Trisha StoufferCEO & President, Stoic Towerborne is released today in Xbox Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, cloud, Game Pass, and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. It’s a big moment for all of us at Stoic, and we wanted to take a moment to talk about our journey so far—and where Towerborne is going next. At its core, Towerborne is a new kind of Looter Brawler—side-scrolling, pick-up-and-play combat fused with deep ARPG progression. You take on the role of an Ace, a spirit-forged hero sworn to defend the Belfry, humanity’s last refuge. Venture solo or squad up in online co-op (or couch co-op on Xbox!); every swing, every loot drop, and every Umbra companion you recruit pushes back the darkness beyond those tower walls. Our release via Xbox Game Preview marks a watershed moment in Towerborne’s journey, a game we started building years ago. That early spark of imagination grew into the world you’re stepping into today. The release today also brings a sizable update that deepens progression through the new Class Mastery system, reshapes the world map with dozens of handcrafted missions, and introduces fresh Umbra, legendary gear, and a formidable new foe. You can read all the details on towerborne.com. Since releasing the first Early Access version of the game on Steam in September 2024, player feedback has shaped and improved mission flow, weapon feel, party-finder tools, and more. New Aces will join the ranks of our growing community and help decide where Towerborne heads next—across end-game challenges, community events, and future updates. Cross-play and shared progression across all platforms ensures that every discovery you make travels freely across all platforms. Game Preview is our next big step. As Towerborne evolves, we will unlock new regions, new game modes, new classes and biomes, new endgame challenges, and ideas we haven’t even thought of yet. The full, free-to-play, 1.0 launch of Towerborne is still to come. Every step on the path will be forged hand-in-hand with you. 1 of 42 of 43 of 44 of 4 Stoic’s story started over a decade ago in a small room, with sketches on whiteboards and a dream that players would care about the kinds of stories we wanted to tell—ones drawn by hand and built with heart. Today, the team is bigger, the tower higher, but what holds it all up remains the same: imagination, perseverance, and the players who bring it to life. To everyone who has played, cheered us on, sent feedback, or told a friend—you remind us why we do this. Why co-op matters. Why heroes rise together. So pick up your favorite weapon, gather your Umbra, and meet us at the Belfry. We’ll be there, fighting by your side. NEWS.XBOX.COMHow Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ Two-Lane Battle System Lets You Relive the Glory Days of the ArcadeCategory: GamesApril 24, 2025 How Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ Two-Lane Battle System Lets You Relive the Glory Days of the Arcade Yasuyuki Oda, Chief Producer, SNK SummarySNK showcases the new Two-Lane Battle system in the latest entry of their legendary fighting game series, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, available now for Xbox Series X|S.Players will be able to freely move between foreground and background lanes during battle and even perform combos across both lanes! This marks the first time in 27 years that Two-Lane Battles are back, allowing players to relive the glory days of the arcade! Hello everyone! Today I want to introduce you to the new Two-Lane Battle system we’ve included in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the first Fatal Fury game in 26 years launching April 24 for Xbox Series X|S. Battle On Two Lanes The highly anticipated Two-Land Battle system will feature two lanes on certain stages: a foreground lane and a background lane. By inputting a specific attack, you’ll be able to freely switch between the lanes and move around the battlefield. Since the available actions also depend on what lane you and your opponent are in, this battle system adds a whole new set of mind games and tricks you can use both offensively and defensively to secure victory! How It Works First, select the Dream Amusement Park “Morning” stage to get access to this nostalgic battle system; at launch this will be the only stage to have Two-Lane Battles enabled, but we plan on adding more of these stages in the near future. You and your opponent will start the battle in the same lane, but you can lane switch by pressing X and RB at the same time. If you want to attack while switching lanes, press A and RB at the same time to perform a special jumping lane switch attack. Once you and your opponent are in different lanes, you’ll gain access to a variety of special attacks. If you want to stay on the ground, pressing X will perform a grounded lane switch attack that will place you in the same lane as your opponent. If you’re looking to attack from the air, pressing A or B will perform a jumping lane switch attack. Pressing Y will perform a special lane pullback attack that will bring your opponent to the same lane you are currently in.
