  • Digital Sculptor and Senior Concept Artist at ILM Kouji Tajima shared a cool demo of a 3D simulation of ocean waves, set up in Blender using FLIP Fluids, an add-on that allows artists to set up, run, and render liquid simulation effects entirely within the software. The artist plans to move the project to Redshift and use Dynamic Paint to make the surfaces look more wet.

The release will let artists create highly realistic notebook pages and customize them in various ways, including adjusting margins, choosing between ruled or squared paper, altering the number, and more.

    Lighting/Real-time TD Adithya Sathyanarayanan teamed up with artists from Texas A&M University to work on Shelly the Octopus and Sheldon the Crab, which were rendered in real-time in Unreal Engine 5. The hair grooms were styled and set up in a day with Blender's Geometry Nodes hair system.
