  • In a world that seems to move relentlessly forward, I find myself standing still, swallowed by the shadows of disappointment. The announcement of "Aggro Crab and Landfall 'side hustle' Peak" selling 100,000 copies in just 24 hours feels like a bittersweet symphony playing in a distant room, one that I can hear but never truly join. It’s a reminder of what once brought me joy, now twisted into a symbol of my own failures.

I watch as others celebrate their triumphs, their dreams realized in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile, I am left grappling with the weight of unfulfilled ambitions. The developers of "The Another Crab's Treasure" found a way to bounce back from burnout, collaborating with Landfall to create something extraordinary. Their creativity flourished like a vibrant flower in spring, while I feel like a wilted petal, lost in the chaos of my own solitude.

Every tick of the clock echoes the loneliness I carry. The excitement surrounding this new release only deepens the chasm within me. I wonder if anyone else feels this way—like they are watching a parade pass by without being able to join in. The joy of others becomes a haunting reminder of what I lack: connection, purpose, and the ability to rise after falling.

The world tells us to keep pushing, to hustle, to create. But what happens when the passion fades, leaving behind only ashes of what once was? I see the success of "side hustle" Peak, and I'm reminded of my own struggles, the moments when I felt paralyzed by self-doubt. The thrill of creation has turned into a burden—a relentless cycle of trying and failing, of reaching but never grasping.

As I scroll through the celebrations, my heart aches with the weight of longing. I crave collaboration, companionship, and a sense of belonging. Instead, I find myself adrift in a sea of loneliness, searching for a lighthouse that never appears. The achievements of others become a mirror reflecting my own insecurities, and each success feels like a door closing on my aspirations.

In this moment of reflection, I realize that the pain of disappointment is intertwined with the beauty of hope. Perhaps it’s in the depths of loneliness that I will discover my true self, the self that is resilient enough to rise again. Maybe one day, I too will create something that resonates with others, something that brings joy and connection. Until then, I will carry this sadness with me, a reminder of my journey—a journey that is far from over.

The old style detective game ambientation is superb, and the art sublime. The misteries were pretty entertaining and interesting to keep you going as you think what truly happened!ReplyI had to take notes.... my memory aint great lol really enjoyed it ReplySebbog1 day agoThis game is kind of like the detective games the Case of the Golden Idol and its sequel, the Rise of the Golden Idol, from 2022 and 2024 respectively. It's not just bullshit. It has a coherent story. If you haven't heard of the Golden Idol games, then it's basically a game where you investigate mysterious deaths and fill in the blanks of the story. You can navigate from multiple different scenes and click on people and objects to gather important clues. I think it was a good game. I like that it's similar to the Golden Idol games. I also liked that you could see the exact amount of wrong slots when it's less than or equal to 2. It said either two incorrect or one incorrect. This isn't how it works in the Golden Idol games. Although, this might make the game too easy. I am not sure tho.

  • ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ Sets February 2026 Release From Capcom

The ninth installment in the “Resident Evil” video game franchise, titled “Resident Evil Requiem,” is set to release in February 2026.

The new game was announced during Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles on Friday, complete with a trailer drop, which came as a surprise after developer Capcom teased the “Resident Evil” franchise’s upcoming 30th anniversary and a ninth game earlier in the presentation — but didn’t include any new footage or release date.

    Related Stories

“Thanks to all of you, ‘Resident Evil’ is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary this coming March,” Capcom game director Jun Takeuchi said in a video message. “We truly appreciate your continued support. Now, about the latest ‘Resident Evil’ game you’ve all been waiting for, bear with us a little longer, just a blink of an eye more, and it’ll be ready. We’re incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of the ‘Resident Evil’ series.”

    Popular on Variety

About 20 minutes later, the “Resident Evil Requiem” trailer and release date was the final piece of news revealed before the SGF 2025 show ended.

The survival horror game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and Steam on Feb. 27, 2026.

The last “Resident Evil” game, “Resident Evil Village,” launched in 2021 as the eighth installment in the franchise. The original “Resident Evil” was created by Shinji Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara for PlayStation and debuted in 1996. In addition to spawning multiple followup games, “Resident Evil” has been adapted for TV and film franchises.

  • Elon Musk Declares That He's "Immediately" Cutting Off NASA's Access to Space

Billionaire Elon Musk has countered president Donald Trump's threat to "terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts," in spectacular fashion: by threatening to cut off the United States' access to outer space."In light of the President’s statement about cancellation of my government contracts, SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately," Musk tweeted. But it didn't take him long to blink. A few hours later — and after the publication of this story — Musk reversed course, agreeing to "cool off" and saying that "we won't decommission Dragon."That's not surprising. As executives at SpaceX no doubt desperately tried to explain to him after the dustup, the company would be in terrible danger without all the money it gets from NASA.And if Musk were to make good on his threat, the United States' space program could experience a setback of epic proportions. SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft has quickly become the de facto method for NASA astronauts to travel to the International Space Station. In other words, the threat could prevent American astronauts from visiting the space station — especially considering that the only other American option, Boeing's Starliner, is likely still years away from becoming a viable alternative, if ever.It was a significant escalation in a major falling out between the world's most powerful man and its richest one. The pair have been openly feuding about Trump's so-called "big, beautiful bill," culminating in threats and personal attacks. The collateral damage of the feud could be enormous, particularly for the US space program.Ars Technica's Eric Berger suggested that Trump ripping up Musk's government contracts "would both end the International Space Station and simultaneously provide no way to safely deorbit it.""This just gets better and better," Musk replied in a laughing emoji-laden tweet. "Go ahead, make my day…"The news comes after the Trump administration abruptly pulled its nominee for the NASA administrator role, Jared Isaacman.Isaacman, who was hand-picked by Musk, has been to space twice with the help of SpaceX.The news greatly angered Musk, causing him to go on a crusade against Trump's tax bill.Musk's latest threats to decommission SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft could put the Trump administration and NASA in an extremely unfortunate position. Apart from Boeing's much-maligned Starliner, which has yet to complete a successful crewed mission to the ISS, the only alternative to send astronauts to the space station is Russia's Soyuz spacecraft. While the station's days are already numbered — NASA recently awarded SpaceX a contract to decommission the orbital lab in 2030 — continuing operations could prove extremely difficult without Dragon. But whether Musk will make good on his threat remains to be seen, especially considering the billionaire has a lengthy track record of making empty promises.Apart from vowing to decommission Dragon, Musk also attempted to smear Trump's name by arguing that he's "in the Epstein files.""This is the real reason they have not been made public," he tweeted. "Have a nice day, DJT!"Musk is clearly out for blood, even officially calling for Trump to be impeached and replaced by his vice president JD Vance.Who will emerge victorious is anybody's guess. If there's one certainty, it won't be NASA. The agency is expected to be hit by brutal cuts that could lay waste to dozens of space missions.Share This Article

  • Buckle Up: Volvo Seatbelts to Auto-Adjust Based on Your Body Shape, Position

Volvo is introducing a new seatbelt that self-adjusts based on your body and driving conditions, particularly in the event of a collision. This "multi-adaptive safety belt" gathers real-time data from interior and exterior sensors, adapting the force it applies "based on the situation and individual’s profiles, such as their height, weight, body shape and seating position," Volvo says. Multi-adaptive safety beltIt's a way of customizing protection for the rider, rather than a static setting for all passengers. Volvo gives the example of a larger occupant and a smaller occupant during a car crash. The smaller will need a "lower belt load" to reduce the risk of rib fractures, while the larger one will need a "higher belt load" to reduce the risk of head injury. Recommended by Our EditorsMost seatbelts have three settings, or "load-limiting profiles," but Volvo offers 11. The sensors analyze the unique characteristics of a crash "in less than a blink of the eye," such as direction, speed, and passenger posture, and shares that information with the seatbelt. It uses this data to select the appropriate setting.Multi-adaptive safety beltVolvo says it developed the tech with data from 80,000 riders and real accidents, and is approaching the seatbelt as a piece of living tech with the capability to receive over-the-air software updates and continuously improve based on data gathered from all Volvo cars. While it could significantly improve safety, more tech can also mean more room to malfunction. If the belt gets too tight, or too loose, it could be a headache for riders. The new belt debuts later this year in the all-electric 2026 Volvo EX60, a midsize SUV set to compete with the Tesla Model Y. Volvo hasn't revealed pricing or photos of the vehicle yet, but it's expected to be among the most popular in the brand's EV lineup. That includes the EX30, a smaller SUV, three-row EX90, and ES90 sedan.Volvo EX90 on the Las Vegas strip

  • Meta raises the bar for Apple’s AI glasses ambitions

Today, Meta shareda few new details about Aria Gen 2, its next-generation experimental smart glasses.
While they’re still not meant for consumers, the hardware show just how fast Meta is moving and how far ahead it is thinking when it comes to the future of wearables, AI, and spatial computing. It also signals how quickly Apple will have to work if it really intends to do more than simply try to catch up. Again.

    Aria Gen 2
Designed as a research platform for augmented reality, AI, and robotics, Aria Gen 2 packs a full eye-tracking system that monitors “gaze per eye, vergence point, blink detection, pupil center estimation, pupil diameter, corneal center, etc.”

It also features multiple computer vision cameras that enable 3D hand and object tracking, which Meta says is precise enough to train robotic hands. Interestingly, Apple has just published a study on this subject.
Inside the nosepad, there’s a PPG heart rate sensorand a contact microphone that improves audio capture in loud environments. And unlike the Aria Gen 1, the frame folds.
It is also lighter than before, and available in eight sizes “accounting for a number of human factors including head breadth and nose bridge variation.”
    Other hardware includes:

    12 MP RGB camera
    7 spatial microphones
    Ambient light sensor
    Accelerometer and gyroscope
    Stereo speakers
    USB-C port

Meta calls Aria Gen 2 a “testbed,” and it sure looks more like a pair of computer glasses, rather than just… glasses. But it’s hard to look at this device and not foresee people wearing something like this in real life sooner rather than later.
    Open vs. private prototyping
As Meta iterates in public, Apple is reportedly aiming to enter this space by the end of next year. Per Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Tim Cook is “hell-bent on creating an industry-leading product before Meta can.”
Whether Apple will actually succeed in leapfrogging Meta and launch an industry-leading product remains to be seen. But much like with AI, Apple’s biggest challenge will be to move fast enough not to let cutting-edge tech become obsolete beforeit finally hits the market.

Meta raises the bar for Apple’s AI glasses ambitions
Today, Meta shared (via The Verge) a few new details about Aria Gen 2, its next-generation experimental smart glasses. Interestingly, Apple has just published a study on this subject. Inside the nosepad, there’s a PPG heart rate sensor (like the Apple Watch) and a contact microphone that improves audio capture in loud environments. And unlike the Aria Gen 1, the frame folds. It is also lighter than before, and available in eight sizes “accounting for a number of human factors including head breadth and nose bridge variation.” Other hardware includes: 12 MP RGB camera 7 spatial microphones Ambient light sensor Accelerometer and gyroscope Stereo speakers USB-C port Meta calls Aria Gen 2 a “testbed,” and it sure looks more like a pair of computer glasses, rather than just… glasses. But it’s hard to look at this device and not foresee people wearing something like this in real life sooner rather than later. Open vs. private prototyping As Meta iterates in public (yes, with bulky, expensive and commercially unviable prototypes), Apple is reportedly aiming to enter this space by the end of next year. Per Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Tim Cook is “hell-bent on creating an industry-leading product before Meta can.” Whether Apple will actually succeed in leapfrogging Meta and launch an industry-leading product remains to be seen. But much like with AI, Apple’s biggest challenge will be to move fast enough not to let cutting-edge tech become obsolete before (or rather, if) it finally hits the market. • European tech founders slam ‘unbelievably toxic’ calls for 7-day work weeks

European tech leaders are pushing back against high-profile VCs urging founders to work seven days a week — slamming the grindset mentality as everything from “toxic” to “childish.”
“Calling on founders to work insane hours nonstop is just bad advice,” Suranga Chandratillake, general partner at Balderton Capital and former CEO of video search engine Blinkx, told TNW. “Even sprinters don’t sprint all the time — rest and reflection is just as important as putting in the work.”
His comments follow a LinkedIn post on Saturday by Harry Stebbings, podcast host and 28-year-old founder of London-based venture firm 20VC. “What European founders need to realise7 days a week is the required velocity to win right now,” he wrote, implying that they need to match the infamous grind culture of Silicon Valley.
Martin Mignot, a partner at New York-based Index Ventures, rallied behind Stebbings. In a LinkedIn post of his own, he applauded the 9am-9pm, six days a weekwork culture adopted by some tech firms in China. “Forget 9 to 5, 996 is the new startup standard,” he said.
While some echoed their views, many European tech founders and investors weren’t happy with the rhetoric. Amelia Miller, co-founder of return-to-work platform Ivee, called Stebbings’ post “unbelievably toxic.”

“Only bad founders work 7 days non-stop,” she wrote. “It’s poor time management and a fast track to burnout.” Miller also said she thinks that working such long hours unfairly discriminates against parents and those with responsibilities outside the office.
Chandratillake also warned against taking advice from VCs without experience of starting and running a company. “If you’re a CEO, don’t listen to a jumped-up finance bro in a hoodie who has never done your job telling you how to do it!” he said.
The lively debate comes amid a broader conversation in European tech over whether workplace culture is holding the region back compared to the US or China.
In a podcast interview in March, Revolut boss Nik Storonsky criticised European startup entrepreneurs, saying they weren’t working hard enough and valued work-life balance too highly. Those comments followed another lively social media debate earlier this year about whether French founders lacked the “grindset” to succeed.
However, a recent survey of 128 European founders by early-stage VC firm Antler found that three-quarters of them work more than 60 hours weekly. Almost 20% of them exceeded 80 hours, challenging the notion that European founders don’t hustle.
Chandratillake said he believes that scrutinising work hours overlooks some of the real challenges founders face in Europe, such as access to late-stage financing. That said, the investor thinks there is a time and a place for the grind.
“Sometimes founders have to work extremely hard and long hours, but that’s not sustainable all the time,” he said. “Building a successful company is a marathon, it takes endurance.”
