The RPG’s newest DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker, is now available on all platforms. The DLC is available for free, adding a new multi-hour storyline, bringing new story content, a new playable character, combat classes, minigames, locations, and more. As the DLC’s name suggests, it will see protagonists Zale and Valere once again crossing paths with the Watchmaker and travel to the miniature clockwork world of Horloge. Sabotage Studio is also selling the game for 35 percent off on all digital platforms, to keep luring in new players. Sea of Stars is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It has over 6 million players across all platforms as of last November, as per Sabotage Studio. To share more info on the game, Nintendo has released a new Creator’s Voice video that offers new behind-the-scenes details and gameplay footage. The video features producer Ryota Matsuhita and developer AAA Games Studio boss Yosuke Hayashi, who shed more light on the game and what it’ll bring. New details are revealed on the game’s story and, in particular, how it will leverage the more powerful hardware of the Nintendo Switch 2- fans will be particularly thrilled about the improved frame rates. Posted By Ravi Sinha | On 20th, May. 2025 Nintendo’s latest Creator’s Voice video is out now, and it focuses on one of the bigger Switch 2 exclusives launching this year – Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. As a follow-up to Omega Force’s Musou-style series, it follows Princess Zelda as she teams with King Rauru and the four masked Sages to fight in the Imprisonment War against Ganondorf. Of course, players can also experience life in Hyrule during the period, per Koei Tecmo producer Ryota Matsushita. They’ll also learn more about the masked Sages and discover “many other secrets” hidden throughout. Matsushita also noted the advantages of the Switch 2’s hardware, such as having numerous enemies on-screen, which “heavily contributes to the realism and excitement of the battlefield.” AAA Games studio head Yosuke Hayashi added that higher frame rates were possible compared to the original Switch, though they didn’t confirm whether that includes 120 FPS in handheld mode. President Donald Trump signed the Take It Down Act on Monday, a bipartisan law that enacts stricter penalties for distributing nonconsensual explicit images, including deepfakes and revenge porn.  The bill criminalizes the publication of such images, whether they’re authentic or AI-generated. Whoever publishes the photos or videos can face criminal penalties, including fines, imprisonment, and restitution.  Under the new law, social media companies and online platforms must remove such material within 48 hours of notice from the victim. The platforms also have to take steps to delete duplicate content.  Many states have already banned sexually explicit deepfakes and revenge porn, but this will be the first time federal regulators step in to impose restrictions on internet companies.  First Lady Melania Trump lobbied for the bill, which was sponsored by Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.). Cruz said he was inspired to act after hearing that Snapchat refused for nearly a year to remove an AI-generated deepfake of a 14-year-old girl.  Free speech advocates and digital rights groups have raised concerns, saying the law is too broad and could lead to censorship of legitimate images, like legal pornography, as well as government critics.

The Switch 2 will be at Gamescom this year (Credits: AFP via Getty Images) After skipping last year’s event, Nintendo has confirmed it will be attending Gamescom 2025, just two months after the Switch 2’s launch. Now that E3 is no more, Gamescom is the world’s biggest gaming event, based on its size and visitor numbers, but one company was notably absent last year. Nintendo skipped last year’s event, held annually in Cologne, Germany, and while no explicit reason was given at the time, it was presumably so the company could prepare for the Switch 2’s launch. Nintendo has now confirmed it will return for Gamescom 2025, which takes place from August 20 until August 24. The news was announced on Nintendo’s German account on X. ‘Mark your calendar in red,’ the post reads. ‘Nintendo will be back at Gamescom in 2025. We look forward to welcoming you to Cologne from August 20th to 24th!’ There are no details on what Nintendo will show, but it will likely focus on the Switch 2 line-up beyond its initial launch on June 5, 2025. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza will both be released by the time Gamescom 2025 rolls around, so it might be the place to showcase Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends Z-A, which are both slated for later this year, albeit without exact release dates. More Trending Drag x Drive, aka the wheelchair basketball game, is also set to launch at some point in the summer, while Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment and Kirby Air Riders both have vague 2025 release dates, so it’s possible they could be playable too. Neither Microsoft or Sony have announced whether they’re attending Gamescom 2025, but the latter has skipped for the last several years. With Marathon and Ghost of Yōtei on the horizon though, it’s possible Sony could make an appearance. As usual, Gamescom 2025 will be preceded by Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley, which serves as a starting presentation for the event with game announcements. Before Gamescom, Keighley is set to host Summer Game Fest on Friday June 6, which will be followed by an Xbox showcase on Sunday, June 8.
