Lawrence was arrested on Wednesday and is understood to have been released on bail.Lawrence could not immediately be reached for comment and Orlando International Airport did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

  • Test Subjects for Bryan Johnsons Anti-Aging Program Said It Made Them Feel Sick: Report
    gizmodo.com
A new report from the New York Times claims that the so-called Longevity Mix sold by Bryan Johnson, the anti-aging tech guru, has caused some users to report unwanted side-effects. Johnson, who runs Blueprint, a dietary supplement company, has been pushing its mixes as a way to stay healthy and live longer. According to the new report, however, many users reported that the supplements made them feel like they were going to hurl. The newspaper articles main focus is Johnsons use of confidentiality agreements which, the Times writes, have been leveraged against employees and social contacts alike: For nearly a decade, Mr. Johnson has wielded confidentiality agreements to control his image and the companies he built atop that image. His employees, sexual partners, vendors and contract workers have all had to sign the documents, sometimes in exchange for settlements, severance or continued employment at his firms, according to people close to him and his start-ups, internal documents and court records. The newspaper writes that three former employees have recently filed National Labor Relations Board complaints about Johnsons confidentiality agreements, accusing the entrepreneur of forcing them to sign agreements that were overbroad and, in so doing, breaking federal laws that allow workers to publicly discuss workplace conditions. While probing Johnsons company, however, the Times was also able to get its hands on information concerning an internal study conducted by Blueprint. The study looked at the impact that its dietary mixes had on users. Apparently, that impact wasnt very good, in some cases: Of the roughly 1,700 participants in the study, about 60 percent experienced at least one side effect, according to internal emails, spreadsheets and other documents. Blood tests revealed that participants saw their testosterone levels drop and became prediabetic after following Mr. Johnsons diet plan. Its unclear how severe the side effects were. Longevity mix: A lot of comments about hating this as it is making them sick, vomit, have heartburn, etc., one Blueprint employee wrote to a colleague in February 2024. Allulose, an ingredient in the longevity mix and a sugar alternativethat Mr. Johnson has pitchedto his social media followers, also caused issues. TONS of people saying its causing nausea, bloating, wrote an employee. The New York Times tried to come for me and missed, Johnson wrote on X on Friday. What was meant to be a takedown ended up reading like a profile piece, he went on, claiming that the paper came up empty and that it was only by contorting and twisting facts to fit a narrative that they barely had enough to publish.Gizmodo reached out to Blueprint for comment, though the company says its typical response time is 1-2 business days. We also reached out to the NLRB. In an email to the Times, Johnson reportedly said that the results of the study showed common side effects with any food, beverage or supplement.

Funky Ramen is a unique restaurant located in Dsseldorf, born from the vision of an experienced sushi chef who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants. After building expertise through his own sushi delivery business, he with his business partner decided to take their passion to the next level. In collaboration with Kidz Studio, they transformed a 200-square-meter space into an exceptional dining destination inspired by the anime Samurai Champloo. This anime, which blends Edo-period traditions with street culture elements like graffiti and hip-hop, served as the foundation for the restaurant's aesthetic and conceptual design.Save this picture!Save this picture!Save this picture! The restaurant's interior reflects the personalities of the anime's three main characters: Jin, a calm and wise samurai; Mugen, an impulsive and free-spirited samurai; and Fuu, the determined young woman who unites them. These traits are represented in three distinct zones. The blue zone, inspired by Jin, exudes calmness and sophistication with its sturdy wooden tables and exposed brick walls, creating an atmosphere perfect for savoring sushi. The red zone, embodying Mugen's energy, features raw and handcrafted materials like concrete blocks, stone, and hand-painted red cushions, fostering a casual, dynamic space for enjoying ramen. The neutral zone, representing Fuu, is simple and welcoming, with white walls, linen curtains, and minimalistic seating for relaxed, everyday dining.Save this picture! The design embraces imperfection and authenticity, reflecting the restaurant's "funky" ethos. During the renovation, historical architectural elements were preserved, such as exposed brick walls with partially removed plaster and uneven textures, adding character and a sense of timelessness. Linen screens in the dining area display projections of scenes from Samurai Champloo, immersing guests in the concept. Lighting is carefully tailored to enhance each zone's ambiance, with features like a sunset effect created with spotlights and iridescent film in the red zone.Save this picture!Save this picture! The layout fosters interaction and transparency. A large opening connects the ramen kitchen to the main dining area, allowing guests to observe the preparation process. In the staircase area, a custom-shaped window offers a view of the sushi station, framed with red acrylic to add drama and emphasize the craftsmanship of the chefs. The staircase also leads to the restrooms, integrating functionality with thematic design.Save this picture!Symbolism is woven throughout the space to highlight the relationship between the two samurai, Jin and Mugen. Red lines run through the blue zone, and blue ropes connect seating in the red zone, representing unity and mutual influence. Every detail reinforces the narrative of blending differences to create harmony. Funky Ramen combines historical charm, modern aesthetics, and thematic storytelling to offer a dining experience that is both visually and emotionally engaging. It blends tradition, innovation, and the beauty of imperfection, making it a standout destination in Dsseldorf's culinary scene.Save this picture!Project gallerySee allShow lessProject locationAddress:Mnsterstrae 33, Dsseldorf, GermanyLocation to be used only as a reference. • El Colmo
    www.behance.net
When the renowned Argentine chef Ariel Rodriguez Palacios and his family came to us to develop the brand for their first restaurant, they challenged us to communicate much more than a sandwich. When we read the word "colmo" (the final straw) in the middle of our initial research, the first thing we asked ourselves was, "What is the final straw for a chef?" and the answer was crystal clear: "to open a sandwich shop." That's how this slightly awkward yet powerful name was born. For the creation of the identity, our guiding concept was "haute cuisine in a sandwich." In those four words lies the contradiction that marked our path: the sandwich, that simple, everyday, and popular product, came to be incorporated into "haute cuisine," a technological, elaborate, and professional cuisine, prepared by specialized chefs. Once we defined the name and key elements of the identity, we outlined the premises for the restaurant's interiors and embarked on the design and production of all the pieces.
