Indy KnowIndiana Jones and the Great Circle on PS5 finally has a release date, so you've not got long left to avoid taking suspicious calls about whipping from your Xbox-owning matesYou know, cos they might spoil things for you.Image credit: Bethesda Softworks News by Mark Warren Senior Staff Writer Published on March 24, 2025 Well, there you go. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on the PS5 has officially gotten a release date, and isn't just vaguely hanging over our heads - no doubt suspended by a whip - armed with a season and year when it's supposed to drop. It'll arrive on April 17, 2025.Nice. I'm sure the likes of Pentiment and Sea of Thieves, both of which moseyed across the console divide last year, will throw it a welcoming party. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. We had a bit of a heads up that the date could be revealed today, March 24. Leaker Billbil-kun claimed that such a thing would be happening, and Bethesda itself dropped a cheeky tease. There was also that ESRB rating not long ago.Well, in a fresh post and a video that features implied whipping of Nolan North by Troy Baker the publisher has confirmed that PS5 Indy is dropping on the aforementioned date of April 17. That means two big Xbox games in quick succession will be hitting Sony's console, with Forza Horizon 5 set to skid onto PS5 on April 29. Hope you're not busy, PlayStation owners who like a cheeky Xbox thing. To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Anyway, there are two editions of PS5 Indy you'll be able to grab - a standard and a premium edition. The premium edition comes on either digital or physical form and offers up to two days worth of early access, The Order of Giants story DLC, a digital art book and a Temple of Doom outfit. Meanwhile, pre-ordering will net you the Last Crusade pack that boasts a lion tamer whip and traveling suit outfit. I don't see how that last one could come in handy, it's not like Indy spends a lot of time going places. To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Anyway, we liked his big circle. In our review, Alex wrote: "This isnt that sort of slam dunk perfect game that will have truly broad appeal. Even reading this review, I think youll probably have an idea based on my description of the combat-to-puzzle balance and the overall structure of the game if its for you or not. If it is for you - as it was for me - you are going to not only find one of the best games of the year, but a game youre going to want to revisit again and again."Are you planning on picking up PS5 Indy? • ICYMI, Yes, A Blood-Soaked 'Terrifier' Game Is Coming To Switch
    www.nintendolife.com
Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube799kChances are that you've probably heard of a little slasher movie trilogy called 'Terrifier'. First released in 2016, the Damion Leone-directed series has become well-known for its excessive violence and gore along with the mesmerising portrayal of antagonist Art the Clown from actor David Howard Thornton. Now, the trilogy is getting its own video game in the form of Terrifier: The ARTcade Game from developer Relevo and publisher Selecta Play. Not only that, but physical editions have also been confirmed, with the limited edition coming packed with extra goodies that's sure to delight all Terrifier fans.Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube799kWatch on YouTube Indeed, while we're a little mixed on the gameplay footage above frankly, it just looks like a less polished take on Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game in which Art and The Little Pale girl eviscerate police officers we are admittedly quite fond of the art book, poster, and enamel pins found in the Limited Edition. We have to say though, we're a bit concerned that a so-called 'Hardcore Mode' with an alternative ending is being locked to the Limited Edition. Hopefully this will be made available via free DLC either at launch or later down the line.Anyway, here's a look at everything that's included:- Enamel pins of Art the Clown and Vicky - tiny, yet terrifyingly charming.- An original soundtrack CD, because murder is always better with music.- A reversible poster featuring two striking designs, both equally disturbing!- A pair of bloody gloves so you can literally get hands-on with the carnage.- A puke bag as a cheeky tribute to the films most stomach-churning moments.- A stunning art book, packed with character designs, eerie environments, and spine-chilling concept art.- A sleek steelbook case, because even gore deserves a touch of class.- Exclusive digital content, including unlockable skins and bonus in-game mayhem.Image: Selecta PlayThere's no firm release date for the game just yet, but we'll be sure to keep you up to date as soon as we hear more. Everyone's entitled to one good scareGroovyWhat do you think of this one? Will you be picking up the physical edition? • Mega Man 2 Director Explains Why The Game Was Developed So Quickly
    www.nintendolife.com
Image: CapcomMega Man 2 is widely regarded as the absolute pinnacle of Capcom's side-scrolling series (though many, this writer included, hold Mega Man 3 as the best entry), boasting excellent level design, memorable Robot Masters, and some of the most incredible music you'll ever hear in a video game. The fact that the Mega Man franchise very nearly died before it could really find its feet is no secret at this point, with the first entry selling so few copies at launch that Capcom initially decided to ditch the whole thing.Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube799kWatch on YouTube According to director Akira Kitamura on social media, however, he was so determined to give the series another chance, he managed to convince Capcom to greenlight a sequel while work was also ongoing on the Willow game adaptation (thanks, Automaton)."I'd like to add a little more information as the production period for Mega Man 2 was just under three months, which is causing some confusion. This was not something I was forced to do by the company. It wasn't something the company asked me to do, it was all something I wanted to do. Sales of Rockman 1 were not good at first, so it was decided to end it there."However, I finally began to understand the true nature of the project, so I applied to make a complete Rockman again. However, the next project, "WILLOW," had already been decided, so it was impossible. Still, I couldn't give up, so I forced myself to make two projects in parallel and somehow got the OK."He went on to say that production on Willow came to a brief halt while work shifted over to Mega Man 2. However, he is also keen to clarify that no one requested the staff work overtime. While he states the team did work overnight a few times during the final push, the developers' health was always a top consideration, and he states that "the staff did not have to endure excessive hardship".It's remarkable that such an incredible game was made in such a short span of time. The rest is history, of course, with the Mega Man franchise spawning multiple sequels and spin-offs, the latest of which Mega Man 11 launched on Nintendo Switch in 2018. "Mega Man is one of our highly-valued IPs"Did you play Mega Man 2 when it originally launched on the NES, or have you experienced it elsewhere in the years since? • Trump admin directs DOE officials to shield DOGE documents from disclosure
    techcrunch.com
The Department of Energy has told employees that documents used by DOGE to assess the agencys grants and contracts should be marked with legal privilege to prevent them from being disclosed under Freedom of Information Act requests.DOGE has supplied the agency with spreadsheets, which are to be completed by agency officials, to identify grants and contracts that could be flagged for termination or renegotiation. The departments acting general counsel, David R. Taggart, outlined the DOEs DOGE-related procedures in a memo sent on March 17, which was obtained by Axios. The memo directs political appointees to determine whether grants and contracts are efficient or consistent with DOE policies and priorities.Taggart told agency officials that they needed to be brief and consistent when filling out the spreadsheets due to the heavy litigation environment surrounding DOGE-related department cuts.Few corners of the DOE are expected to be immune, according to the memo. Even the DOEs national laboratory system could be included since each is managed by private companies under contract. The DOEs standard contracts contain language that allows the department to terminate an award if it no longer effectuates the program goals or agency priorities. The memo also appears to give some insight into the way DOGE cuts might be enacted, hinting that there may not be much scrutiny once the spreadsheets leave DOE offices. Officials are urged to be as granular as possible because lumping awards into groups awards might overlook nuances between the covered contracts and grants that might result in terminating efficient agreements or keeping inefficient agreements.
