Coinbase, Uniswap Officials to Join Crypto Task Force's Roundtable on Trading Regulations
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is overseeing the creation of crypto regulations as per President Donald Trump's directives. As part of the process, SEC's Crypto Task Force has scheduled its second roundtable meeting for April 11. The meeting aims to establish rules for safer crypto trading and protect national financial security. Gregory Tusar, VP of Institutional Product at Coinbase and Katherine Minarik, Chief Legal Officer at Uniswap Labs are among the panelists listed for this session. The second roundtable session is titled “Between a Block and a Hard Place: Tailoring Regulation for Crypto Trading", the SEC said in an official post.A total of nine panelists have been listed to be part of this session. These include top officials from the Healthy Markets Association, New York Stock Exchange, Texture Capital, US Berkeley, FalconX, Cumberland DRW, and Urvin Finance. Richard Gabbert, Chief of Staff of the Crypto Task Force, will deliver the opening remarks at the meeting, with Trump-appointed acting SEC chairman Mark Uyeda also being part of the discussions."The roundtable will be held at the SEC's headquarters at 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The event will be open to the public and webcast live on the SEC's website. Doors will open at 12 p.m.," the SEC informed community members who wish to attend the meeting online or offline.Following the discussions, the SEC will let attendees submit their suggestions at the office or through emails. These recommendations will be analysed by the Task Force officials while compiling the first draft of US' crypto rules."Hearing the public's concerns and suggestions helps the SEC create a clear, sensible, and fair path forward for the crypto industry. I look forward to this roundtable as we move toward crypto clarity for the benefit of the American public," Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, Head, Crypto Task Force said in a statement.Back in March, President Donald Trump instructed the Crypto Task Force to finalise the crypto rules by August this year. This leaves the committee with around four months to complete the task.In order to garner insights from crypto community leaders and the common public, the SEC decided to host a series of roundtables. The inaugural session of the roundtable series, dubbed the ‘Spring Sprint Toward Crypto Clarity', took place on March 21. Based on the discussions during this session, the SEC determined that stablecoins are not securities like bank notes and common stocks. The US is forging a pro-crypto roadmap under Trump's presidency. Last month, the US President signed an executive order to establish a strategic reserve of cryptocurrencies and held a summit for industry leaders at the White House to connect them with lawmakers and regulators. 4 signals AI will continue to be a narrative in 2025
AI innovations have taken the world by storm since ChatGPT’s debut in November 2022. We’ve seen more organisations integrate AI into their workflows: a recent survey by McKinsey revealed that 78% of the respondents work in organisations that use AI in at least one business function. What’s more intriguing is the bounce back of Nvidia, now the world’s leading chipmaker. Its stock price has surged by 1635% in the past five years, placing it third in terms of value in market capitalisation, slightly behind Apple and Microsoft. But with AI running hot over the past two years, most investors are questioning how far the AI narrative can extend. Are we close to an extended pullback or are there some fundamentals to keep the AI narrative alive? While we may witness a period of slowed growth in the medium term, there are several reasons why the AI trend will likely continue much longer. The next section of this article will highlight four key signals that point to this likelihood: High adoption rate of new AI tech ChatGPT set the record for the fastest growing user base in the tech sector, eclipsing the 100 million user mark two months after its launch data. Today, there are over 400 million ChatGPT users weekly. ChatGPT’s latest image generation feature has witnessed massive demand, with users coming to the platform to create Ghibli-style AI: “It’s super fun seeing people love images in ChatGPT, but our GPUs are melting,” said Altman in an X post. While there have been criticisms about copyright issues, what’s worth noting is the rate at which the world is experimenting with AI innovations. Gone are the days when AI was a niche carved out for tech bros; AI is mainstream. Advances in digital human innovations Imagine a digital doppelgänger that can interact with other internet users on your behalf at the same level of personalisation you would. This has long been a dream for many AI enthusiasts and it may finally be becoming a reality. It is possible to create a hyper-realistic and intelligent digital twin through an AI-powered SaaS platform like Antix. Unlike conventional avatars which lack human qualities, Antix’s digital humans offer a new level of digital interaction. They are designed to deliver realistic interactions, letting users engage in more meaningful and profound ways. This advance in digital human innovation may transform today’s digital landscape. For the first time, it will be possible for internet users anywhere to create or acquire a digital twin that can evolve or hold conversations according to a user’s preferences and personality. For example, Antix’s digital humans give the flexibility to customise key human attributes, including style, appearance, emotions and voice. Increased funding in the AI space According to Statista, global funding in AI startups hit a new high of $100 billion in 2024. The trend will likely continue in 2025 as more countries allocate funding to AI innovations. Here are two key developments this year: President Trump recently announced a $500 billion private sector investment in funding AI infrastructure. The goal is to make the US a leading contender in the AI race. China has allocated $8.2 billion into a new AI fund following a move by the US to go ahead with additional chip export restrictions, targeting Chinese firms. Accelerated global AI race A global AI race has been brewing between the US and China. While it may seem like negative engagement, a competitive ecosystem is exactly what the AI space needs for growth. For example, China’s DeepSeek R1 model was developed at only $6 million, a fraction of the cost to train models like Google’s Gemini and ChatGPT. While some critics have argued it couldn’t have cost that little, the Chinese model has challenged its Western counterparts to be leaner in their AI development processes. We’re also seeing the likes of Open AI stepping up to roll out more advanced features such as the image generator currently making waves. Conclusion AI is one of the four industrial technologies that have gained traction recently. While there are a number of issues yet to be ironed out, including ethical concerns, it is evident that the AI narrative will be a while in fading away. The four factors above are a glimpse of what might sustain this narrative. As of writing, there are more AI innovations than most of us or regulators can keep up with. That alone should be a signal that the nascent industry is just getting started.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Will Launch Imminently – Rumour
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Will Launch Imminently – Rumour The relentlessly rumoured Virtuos-developed remake will allegedly shadow drop "at any moment this month," a journalist has claimed. Posted By Shubhankar Parijat | On 08th, Apr. 2025 Having been in the rumour mill for about a couple of years now, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion’s remake seems to be on the verge of releasing, according to journalist Jeff Grubb.  Caught by VGC, on a recent Giant Bomb livestream, Grubb claimed that the Virtuos-developed remake is going to “shadow drop at any moment,” with a release allegedly due for some time this month. That, incidentally, aligns with recent claims by prominent leaker NateTheHate.  The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion’s remake has allegedly been developed in Unreal Engine 5, and on top of a visual and technical overhaul, it features various gameplay improvements. The title will reportedly feature changes to stealth mechanics, the UI, stamina management, archery, some aspects of melee combat, and more. Read more on that through here. Which platforms the remake will launch is unknown. However, based on Microsoft’s increasing multiplatform focus, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it arrive on all available platforms day and date. Stay tuned for more updates. Everything seems to slot in perfectly with expectations, barring a conspicuous lack of DLSS-supported games. Way back when, Activision's Bobby Kotick described the machine as offering PS4 class power and by and large, that's in the ballpark of what the third-party demos revealed. Elden Ring runs at 1080p at 30fps or thereabouts on PS4, and that's what we saw with Switch 2 in last week's Direct. Despite some briefing from Sega that Yakuza Zero runs at 4K60, all the gameplay assets we've seen look like the same 1080p60 as PS4. It's the same with Final Fantasy 7 Remake: true, Switch 2 gets the Intergrade version but again, it's running at 1080p and wobbly frame-pacing apart, runs at 30fps. Click to expand... Click to shrink... However, similar to the way the original Switch offered GPU performance seemingly in the Xbox 360/Wii U class, we should expect more - simply by virtue of the fact that although the RTX 30-series Ampere architecture is now getting on for five years old, it supports all the modern features a developer would want: hardware-accelerated ray tracing, mesh shaders and machine learning for DLSS upscaling, just for starters. With 256GB of UFS storage backed by the file decompression hardware, developers should have lightning-fast access to data in a way that the PS4 never had. Cyberpunk 2077 will be an interesting exercise in seeing how Switch 2 handles demanding titles, but more than that, I can't wait to see Star Wars Outlaws - where the footage shown in last week's Direct looked perhaps too good to be true. Cyberpunk is a good litmus test, but remember it runs on PS4 and runs well on Steam Deck. Star Wars Outlaws is current-gen only and the game is simply 'too big' for the Deck. Click to expand... "We've been asked whether Switch 2 is a 'Steam Deck killer' and while we'll only be able to make some kind of definitive analysis closer to review time, our answer for now is both yes and no. More specifically, our contention right now is that the docked Switch 2 delivers more than the Deck - but the jury is out on the mobile experience. Looking at third party games like Elden Ring and Final Fantasy 7, it's hard to believe that the Deck could deliver native 1080p with the same features and performance Switch 2 is delivering." "There's nothing stopping it running any version of DLSS from 2.0 upwards - even DLSS 4's transformer model. However, DLSS is not a free lunch - it has a computational cost. It's not so much if Switch 2 can run DLSS 4, it's more like whether it is too expensive to do so and that's a factor of how capable the GPU is."  Last edited: Yesterday at 11:35 AM Biosnake Member Oct 25, 2017 14,284 Celentano said: Switch 2: the tech specs that Nintendo and Nvidia are not sharing How powerful is the custom T239 processor in the new console and how does it compare to PS4 and Steam Deck? It should be newer hardware, but that seems to matter pretty much nothing, the NVIDIA chip isn't all that great apparently, and there is also a much lower power limit, which does not help. I had much bigger hopes for it, but I really like to forget that NVIDIA really struggles at this kind of stuff ahah. But this is all just nerdy and speculative discussions, at the end of the day what matters is the games and how they run/look, which we can't really predict. Still the Steam Deck absolutely seems to be able to provide better raw performance then Switch 2, especially in handheld.  NSESN ▲ Legend ▲ Member Oct 25, 2017 27,385 Dekuman said: Can anyone summarize? at work and can't watch. My comment is mostly about the handheld experience, and is speculative like I said. Mentioned in the Digital Foundry article: Switch 2 has a mooted 561MHz GPU clock and a 1.1GHz CPU, and based on a 20Wh battery with a minimum two hours battery life, it'll be sipping a maximum 10W of power during play - almost one third of Steam Deck's consumption. No matter how much more efficient the Switch 2 architecture may (or may not!) be, it's hard to believe that the Nintendo machine in handheld mode can best the Deck in terms of raw horsepower. They could probably say, 'Yeah, the Switch 2 is a lot more capable than a PS4,' but there are so many uncertainties regarding the console that they don't want to risk making a claim that could put them on the spot if it's not met. I have no doubt in my mind that the Switch 2 is closer to this generation than to the last, but they are tempering expectations to stay on the mark   Dekuman Member Oct 27, 2017 20,481 Ninman said: I think DF is being very modest, and that's the safe approach when discussing Switch 2 power. Fair approach since they still don't have access to finished games to compare to. But from what i'm seein gon SF6, Switch 2 when using all of its features is a fair bit more powerful than the PS4 . The texture quality is way better, image isn't soft like PS4 and you can see detail like skin pores that's not seen on PS4. , i'm hearing some people commenting online it likely uses DLSS as well. Curious DF did not talk about that game considering it had a Nintendo Teehouse play session wiht lots of footage.  GhostTrick Member Oct 25, 2017 12,075 Dekuman said: Fair approach since they still don't have access to finished games to compare to. About that, it could be that Switch 2 version, at the moment, isn't using subsurface scattering. From a pure raster point of view it's not getting close to Xbox One X for example, but then you factor in AI upscaling, RT acceleration etc and there will be areas it is more aligned with current gen engines. Switch 2 likely better than Jaguar on the CPU front, and then you factor in the much faster IO. But all the same, if you have no interest in the handheld aspect, it's pretty depressing that we're comparing Switch 2 to a 2013 console at all - one that was pretty underwhelming at launch, from a CPU point of view at least. But merging their handheld and console business has been so successful for Nintendo, I don't blame them.  Last edited: Yesterday at 2:03 PM Friendly Bear Member Jan 11, 2019 3,267 I Don’t Care Where (Just Far) So in theory, the Ampere class tensor cores mean pretty much everything DLSS related except MFG is possible on Switch 2, but it will come down to frametime budget for whether a game uses DLSS or not?   BeI Member Dec 9, 2017 6,735 Superking said: - hogwarts being 720p on S2 but 1080p on ps4 is kind of disappointing, but....it still looks pretty damn good on S2 at least Click to expand... I think they said in the video that PS4 is 900p with FSR1 compared to 720p on NS2, but NS2 may have looked better due to using a different type of upscaling.  KanjoBazooie ▲ Legend ▲ Avenger Oct 26, 2017 32,244 Chicago I really enjoy DF's measured speculation. Either way, come June we'll finally have more concrete answers. The price segment is a much watch. So many people don't seem to understand that tech is in a wired spot right now. Nothing is giving you Switch 2 level performance in this form factor for this price. Even DF says here that Nintendo exceeded expectations in some regard.  Vexii Member Oct 31, 2017 2,965 UK Superking said: what new info? Click to expand... Click to shrink... Yeah since I don't play handheld unless someone is on the tv, I'm not impressed at all with how capable Switch or Steam Deck is on the go. I just don't play on the go, at all. I do work on the highway overnight collecting tolls, so maybe that might change, by comparing anything in 2025 to a PS4 is disappointing as a primary dock user. But the handful of Nintendo games I get a gen usually makes up for the weaker hardware.  Simba1 Member Dec 5, 2017 5,860 I mean we know Switch 2 specs, and its clearly stronger than PS4 (much stronger CPU, double RAM memory for games, much faster storage, stronger GPU in docked mode, 4K and 120FPS support, DLSS, RT, all modern features...), Switch 2 in docked mode should be somewhere between PS4 Pro and Series S, but for real comparison and side by side, we will need actual release of Switch 2 games instead making comparison with off screen from 1st trailers of games where some doesnt have even release date.  GalvoAg Member Oct 30, 2017 2,468 Dallas 808s & Villainy said: Considering Cyberpunk is targeting 40fps, I don't know if we can say that for sure Click to expand... And tbh it's way too early to be making definitive comments about power at this point. DF doesn't have a lot of material to work with, and the games shown are all works in progress. So their conservatism is very warranted. Even then, it's already doing things better than a PS4. Historically, a game like Mario odyssey was 720p with frame dips in DF's direct feed analysis from E3 that year all the up to release when final game was 900p with more stable fps. So even Nintendo 1st Party games aren't immune from test builds being different, and DF doesn't yet AFAIK have access to these games that's not pixel counting press materials or someone else's video.  VanWinkle Member Oct 25, 2017 17,021 Simba1 said: I mean we know Switch 2 specs, and its clearly stronger than PS4 (much stronger CPU, double RAM memory for games, much faster storage, stronger GPU in docked mode, 4K and 120FPS support, DLSS, RT, all modern features...), Switch 2 in docked mode should be somewhere between PS4 Pro and Series S, but for real comparison and side by side, we will need actual release of Switch 2 games instead making comparison with off screen from 1st trailers of games where some doesnt have even release date. Is it not ready or is it so limited/performance impacting that devs are choosing not to use it in the launch window titles?

    Switch 2 game-key cards won’t be account- or console-locked
Good news: Switch 2 game-key cards won’t be locked to the first account or console that uses them. “[Game-key cards] will start up on the console or system that it is slotted into, so it’s not tied to an account or anything,” Tetsuya Sasaki, general manager of Nintendo’s technology development division, told GameSpot. Unlike regular game cartridges, game-key cards simply allow access to a digital download of the game in question when inserted into the Switch 2. “Game-key cards are different from regular game cards, because they don’t contain the full game data,” Nintendo’s support page explains. “Instead, the game-key card is your ‘key’ to downloading the full game to your system via the internet. After it’s downloaded, you can play the game by inserting the game-key card into your system and starting it up like a standard physical game card.” Nintendo has yet to say which games will be released on game-key cards and why, but common speculation considers the format as a way to distribute games that have grown too big for the Switch 2’s 64 GB cartridges while appeasing those who continue to push back against an all-digital future. Unfortunately, there’s no indication game-key cards will be any cheaper than regular physical cartridges — you may have heard, but Mario Kart World will cost a whopping $80, and that was before Trump’s tariffs announcement — and an internet connection will be necessary for the initial download. Switch 2 launches worldwide on June 5.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Act Two Expansion Mod Showcased in Teaser Trailer
Thanks to Larian's decision to release official mod tools for Baldur's Gate 3, several interesting custom campaigns are currently being worked on. One of them, called Act Two Expansion, has received an intriguing teaser trailer from its creator, SquallyDaBeanz. According to the modder, Baldur's Gate 3: Act Two Expansion adds a whole new region to the game that players can access between Acts 2 and 3. The area includes new areas, dungeons, encounters, items, secrets, puzzles, and lore. The mod aims to provide a whole new region to experience, similar in scope to the Wilderness of Act 1. It is meant to be sandboxy, focusing on combat and exploration rather than story. There will be some new notes, though, expanding on the lore of this region. The mod takes place after the player leaves the Shadow Cursed Lands but before you reach Baldur's Gate. With the Absolute's army on the march, the main character and their party must find a way to cross the Chionthar River before taking part in an epic battle against the Absolute's army at Rivington. Baldur's Gate 3: Act Two Expansion is balanced for level 8–10 characters. According to its creator, most mods should be compatible with it, except for those that modify the Shadow Cursed Lands levels and/or level templates. Multiplayer, on the other hand, should be perfectly supported as long as everyone in the group has it installed. Baldur's Gate 3 supports cross-platform mods, but the creator says this mod wouldn't pass the approval process for consoles, so do not expect to find it there. The current goal is to release it before the end of the year. You can follow the development of the mod on SquallyDaBeanz's Patreon. The modder is also working on Forsaken, a custom Baldur's Gate 3 campaign that seeks to recreate World of Warcraft's undead starting zone of Tirisfal Glades. A teaser level is already available on Nexus. Deal of the Day
