Alibaba Cloud has expanded its AI portfolio for global customers with a raft of new models, platform enhancements, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tools. The announcements, made during its Spring Launch 2025 online event, underscore the drive by Alibaba to accelerate AI innovation and adoption on a global scale. The digital technology and intelligence arm of Alibaba is focusing on meeting increasing demand for AI-driven digital transformation worldwide. Selina Yuan, President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said: “We are launching a series of Platform-as-a-Service（PaaS) and AI capability updates to meet the growing demand for digital transformation from across the globe. “These upgrades allow us to deliver even more secure and high-performance services that empower businesses to scale and innovate in an AI-driven world.” Alibaba expands access to foundational AI models Central to the announcement is the broadened availability of Alibaba Cloud’s proprietary Qwen large language model (LLM) series for international clients, initially accessible via its Singapore availability zones. This includes several specialised models: Qwen-Max: A large-scale Mixture of Experts (MoE) model. QwQ-Plus: An advanced reasoning model designed for complex analytical tasks, sophisticated question answering, and expert-level mathematical problem-solving. QVQ-Max: A visual reasoning model capable of handling complex multimodal problems, supporting visual input and chain-of-thought output for enhanced accuracy. Qwen2.5-Omni-7b: An end-to-end multimodal model. These additions provide international businesses with more powerful and diverse tools for developing sophisticated AI applications. Platform enhancements power AI scale To support these advanced models, Alibaba Cloud’s Platform for AI (PAI) received significant upgrades aimed at delivering scalable, cost-effective, and user-friendly generative AI solutions. Key enhancements include the introduction of distributed inference capabilities within the PAI-Elastic Algorithm Service (EAS). Utilising a multi-node architecture, this addresses the computational demands of super-large models – particularly those employing MoE structures or requiring ultra-long-text processing – to overcome limitations inherent in traditional single-node setups. Furthermore, PAI-EAS now features a prefill-decode disaggregation function designed to boost performance and reduce operational costs. Alibaba Cloud reported impressive results when deploying this with the Qwen2.5-72B model, achieving a 92% increase in concurrency and a 91% boost in tokens per second (TPS). The PAI-Model Gallery has also been refreshed, now offering nearly 300 open-source models—including the complete range of Alibaba Cloud’s own open-source Qwen and Wan series. These are accessible via a no-code deployment and management interface. Additional new PAI-Model Gallery features – like model evaluation and model distillation (transferring knowledge from large to smaller, more cost-effective models) – further enhance its utility. Alibaba integrates AI into data management Alibaba Cloud’s flagship cloud-native relational database, PolarDB, now incorporates native AI inference powered by Qwen. PolarDB’s in-database machine learning capability eliminates the need to move data for inference workflows, which significantly cuts processing latency while improving efficiency and data security. The feature is optimised for text-centric tasks such as developing conversational Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) agents, generating text embeddings, and performing semantic similarity searches. Additionally, the company’s data warehouse, AnalyticDB, is now integrated into Alibaba Cloud’s generative AI development platform Model Studio. This integration serves as the recommended vector database for RAG solutions. This allows organisations to connect their proprietary knowledge bases directly with AI models on the platform to streamline the creation of context-aware applications. Beyond infrastructure and platform layers, Alibaba Cloud introduced two new SaaS AI tools: AI Doc: An intelligent document processing tool using LLMs to parse diverse documents (reports, forms, manuals) efficiently. It extracts specific information and can generate tailored reports, such as ESG reports when integrated with Alibaba Cloud’s Energy Expert sustainability solution. Smart Studio: An AI-powered content creation platform supporting text-to-image, image-to-image, and text-to-video generation. It aims to enhance marketing and creative outputs in sectors like e-commerce, gaming, and entertainment, enabling features like virtual try-ons or generating visuals from text descriptions. All these developments follow Alibaba’s announcement in February of a $53 billion investment over the next three years dedicated to advancing its cloud computing and AI infrastructure. This colossal investment, noted as exceeding the company’s total AI and cloud expenditure over the previous decade, highlights a deep commitment to AI-driven growth and solidifies its position as a major global cloud provider. “As cloud and AI become essential for global growth, we are committed to enhancing our core product offerings to address our customers’ evolving needs,” concludes Yuan. News Mistfall Hunter Will Kick Off its Second Beta on April 22 The second beta will include a host of new content, such as a new class, a solo mode, legendary accessories and new areas to explore. Posted By Joelle Daniels | On 08th, Apr. 2025 Developer Bellring Games has announced that its extraction action RPG Mistfall Hunter will be kicking off its second beta test on April 22. In its announcement, the studio has also detailed the new content that players will have access to throughout the beta. Headlining the slate of new content for beta 2 of Mistfall Hunter is the new Reverent Seer build. The class makes use of Catalysts to power its attacks and spells, and will also essentially be the first playable class in the game to offer support abilities for allies. The Reverent Seer will use Rune Pillars as its signature mechanic, which can be used to summon runes for healing, shielding, and damage buffs for allies. The title will also include new scenes and areas for players to explore. Dubbed the Ember Iris, the new region will feature Lake Iris as one of its signature points of interests. Throughout the map, players will also get to discover mysterious ancient arrays and seal gates. The area is also home to the Forge, which is currently home to Corroded artisans and laborers. With the addition of these new areas, the map of Brandrgarde will be too large to be a single map. The fortress is being split into two, with players spawning into one of the halves at random. Through the beta, Bellring Games is also planning on testing out the new solo mode. While it features the same map as trio mode, solo mode features redesigned monster placement that is better balanced for individual players rather than entire groups. The studio is also looking for feedback from players when it comes to the difficulty of its solo mode, especially in terms of class balance. The beta will also bring with it a host of new monsters, such as the Prison Guard, the Warden, the Penitent, and the Nightwatcher. Otto, the Flesheater is also a now a more fleshed-out fight, with players getting to fight its second phase. The boss also has a challenge mode that can be unlocked by players that have found the Dried Flower Knot. The challenge mode, dubbed Einherjar mode, has been described by the studio as being quite challenging, while also offering better rewards. Mistfall Hunter‘s beta 2 will also be getting a host of balance changes. Melee classes, for example, are getting a boost in damage bonus and damage reduction attributes. This is being done because melee classes tend to be at a disadvantage in fights due to their proximity to enemy attacks. More details about class balance, and how it will affect PvP, will be revealed some time next week. Other changes in the second beta include adjustments to the game’s progression, such as the addition of legendary accessories , as well as the removal of fixed affixes. The game is also getting improvements to the core technology running it, offering players smoother gameplay experiences. Thanks to this, the minimum required GPUs have been lowered to an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660. Mistfall Hunter is in development for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Nintendo has made its own Discord-like chat app for the Switch 2, and it’s going to charge you for it. Once the free period is over on March 31, 2026, GameChat, and the C button that activates it, will require a Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) membership. So what happens if you aren’t a subscriber and press the C button? Not much, vice president of player and product experience Bill Trinen told Polygon in a recent interview. “You would be able to find out about the NSO subscription there and get a sense of some of the functionality,” he said. Presumably, this is how you’d learn that GameChat works a lot like Discord video chat works on PC. You can talk with your friends in handheld or docked mode via a built-in microphone and stream your gameplay to each other. There’s even a camera you can buy to overlay onto your stream, or just to chat face-to-face. But unless you have an active NSO membership, you’ll have a whole button dedicated to nothing on your Switch 2. It doesn’t even sound like you can remap it to something else. It will just be a reminder of the annual $19.99 fee you may or may not be handing to Nintendo every year (or $49.99 for the Expansion Pack). Trinen says the C button has a price tag because GameChat is “part of the overall platform experience” and that “NSO really is a critical piece of the Nintendo Switch 2 experience.” He listed off some of the new Switch 2-exclusive benefits, like access to old GameCube games and free upgrades to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. That subscription fee will be on top of a console that’s already going to cost you $449.99 — or possibly more if U.S. President’s Trump’s tariffs prompt Nintendo to increase it. We won’t know if GameChat will prove to be worth it until the Switch 2 releases in June. Jon Prosser recently shared details on iOS 19 and how it will look like with the new glass-like UI inspired by visionOS. The leaker also stated that iOS 19 would feature rounded icons, which was something that he previously did not agree to. While you can check out the iOS 19 design in our detailed post, Prosser also shared a crucial camera feature of the iPhone 17 Pro, which was initially debuted by Samsung more than a decade ago. iPhone 17 Pro models will target the vlogging community with a new dual video recording feature At the end of the video, Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser stated that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with a feature that Samsung has already used in the past. Apple is now bringing a dual video recording feature to the iPhone, which was also available on the Galaxy S4. According to Prosser, the iPhone 17 Pro will be able to record with the front and the back camera at the same time. It will allow users to record the subject and their reactions at the same time. As for the UI, it will be very similar to the FaceTime interface that we currently use on our iPhone models. It remains to be seen if the feature will be available on older iPhone models through a software update. Even if the feature does not make it to older iPhones, you can still use it through third-party apps that are already available on the App Store. For instance, Snapchat gives you the option to record from the front and the back camera simultaneously. Apple's rendition of the feature will be available to users through the stock camera app on the iPhone. While the feature was originally introduced with the Galaxy S4, Samsung also made it available again with the Galaxy S21 and newer models. It is good to see how Apple is following the likes of Samsung and bringing back a nostalgic feature to its camera app. You can jump directly to 9:13 to check out the alleged feature in action. The dual video recording feature would be a good addition to the list of camera features on the iPhone, but it will be specifically important for content creators. بينهما العديد من التحديات المشتركة، لم يكن من المتوقع أن يصلا لمرحلة إغلاق الأجواء بسبب حوادث تعتبر هامشية بمنطق المصالح والعلاقات المشتركة، ولكن الخلاف جاء مدفوعا بخلفيات من التوتر وتباين المواقف حول العديد من القضايا المحلية والإقليمية. وفي أكثر من مرة، أعربت الجزائر عن حرصها على أمن واستقرار جارتها الجنوبية مالي التي تنشط فيها العديد من الحركات المسلحة والانفصالية التي تعمل على تهديد وحدتها. وفي التقرير التالي تسلط الجزيرة نت الضوء على الأزمة السياسية بين مالي والجزائر، والخلفيات التي تقف وراءها، وتأثيرها على المشهد السياسي والاقتصادي والأمني في البلدين. ما جذور الأزمة الحالية؟ في عام 2015 نجحت الجزائر في التوصل إلى اتفاق السلام والمصالحة بين الحكومة المالية وقادة الحركات الأزوادية الذي وضع حدا للحرب في الشمال المالي وخاصة في مدن كيدال وغاو وتمبكتو. قافلة عسكرية على مشارف باماكو الجنوبية الغربية، 17 يناير 2025 (مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي) وبعد انقلاب 2021 وتولي الجيش مقاليد الحكم بشكل دائم، انتهجت مالي سياسية جديدة تهدف في مجملها إلى البحث عن السيادة عن طريق الابتعاد عن الشركاء التقليديين والتوجه نحو لاعبين جدد في الساحة الأفريقية. إعلان وفي سنة 2023 اندلعت موجة من المواجهات في الشمال المالي بين الجيش النظامي المدعوم من قوات فاغنر من جهة، والحركات الأزوادية وبعض التنظيمات المسلحة من جهة أخرى. وبوصفها راعيا رسميا لاتفاق السلام والمصالحة، استضافت الحكومة الجزائرية قادة الفصائل الموقعة على الصلح مع حكومة باماكو، كما استقبلت بعض الزعماء السياسيين والدينيين مثل الإمام والداعية محمود ديكو. وإثرك تلك التحركات والمساعي، أعرب المجلس العسكري في مالي عن غضبه من الجزائر واتهمها بالقيام بأعمال عدائية. وبعد اتهامات أحادية صادرة من باماكو، قام البلدان باستدعاء سفيريهما للتشاور في ديسمبر/كانون الأول 2023. لكن الماكينة الدبلوماسية الجزائرية تحركت وقتها وعملت على احتواء الأزمة، إذ أصدر وزير الخارجة أحمد عطاف بيانا جاء فيه أن حكومة بلاده تعلن تمسكها الراسخ بسيادة جمهورية مالي ووحدة أراضيها. وفي يناير/كانون الثاني 2024 أعلن المجلس العسكري الحاكم في مالي خروجه من اتفاق السلام والمصالحة الموقع في  2015 بين حركات أزواد والحكومة المالية، والذي كانت الجزائر ترعى بنود مخرجاته. وقال الناطق باسم المجلس العسكري وقتها العقيد عبد الله مايغا، إن الوسيط الجزائري لم يعد قادرا على الوفاء بالضمانات التي تم الاتفاق عليها 2015. وتعتبر الجزائر أن النزاع المسلح في الجنوب المالي يشكل تهديدا لأمنها، كما أن المجتمع الأزوادي في مالي يرتبط بشكل وثيق مع نظيره في الجزائر. وبعد معركة تنزواتن التي وقعت في يوليو/تموز 2024 وقتل فيها حوالي 80 من قوات فاغر و40 من الجيش المالي على يد مقاتلي الطوارق، أصبحت الجزائر تشعر أن القوّات المسلحة في مالي وسّعت معاركها مع المتردين واقتربت من حدودها، فدخلت في مرحلة الجاهزية القتالية، الأمر الذي دفعها إلى إسقاط الطائرة المسيرة في نهاية الأسبوع الماضي. إعلان وبعد إسقاط الطائرة أعلنت كونفدرالية دول الساحل استدعاء سفرائها من الجزائر، وردت عليه الأخيرة بإغلاق المجال الجوي أمام باماكو. كيف ستؤثر الأزمة على علاقات الجزائر في المنطقة؟ تعتبر الجزائر فاعلا رئيسا في الساحل الأفريقي، وتاريخيا لها نفوذ وتأثير في المنطقة، وفي الآونة الأخيرة عملت على تعزيز حضورها عن طريق التنمية والتبادل التجاري. وزارة الشؤون الخارجية بالجزائر (مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي) وفي الأعوام القليلة الماضية، فتحت تجارة المقايضة (سلعة مقابل سلعة) مع مالي والنيجر وموريتانيا، وباتت منتجاتها حاضرة في أسواق منطقة الساحل. وعندما أرادت دول إيكواس استخدام القوة في النيجر لاستعادة الشرعية السياسية، عارضت الجزائر ذلك الخيار، واستخدمت ثقلها الدبلوماسي لمنعه، خوفا من زيادة التوتر في المنطقة وجرها إلى مزيد من الصراع. وعلى المستوى الإقليمي قد لا تؤثر مالي في تحالف دول الساحل للتصعيد مع الجزائر، لأن الشركات الجزائرية دخلت في شراكات اقتصادية قوية في العام الماضي مع حكومة النيجر وبدأت تعمل على المساهمة في استغلال الغاز واستخراج النفط، وبناء مشاريع الكهرباء والطاقة. وفي حديث للجزيرة نت قال المحلل السياسي وأستاذ الإعلام في جامعة المدية الدكتور حكيم بوغرارة "إن الجزائر في منطقة الساحل كانت دائما شريكا رئيسيا، وساهمت في محاربة الإرهاب في المنطقة بشكل فعال، وفي الأعوام الماضية ساهمت بمبلغ مليار دولار في منطقة الساحل لبناء مرافق ومنشآت تنموية من شأنها أن تساهم في تحسين حياة السكا". هل من تداعيات على الخلاف بين الدولتين؟ وانطلاقا من الخلافات المتكررة بين مالي والجزائر التي بدأت بعد مجيء العسكريين إلى الحكم في باماكو، قد ينظر إلى التأثير والحضور التاريخي الذي لعبته الجزائر في أزمة الطوارق في مالي بأنه قد انتهى. وتشير دراسة أعدها مركز أوداغست للدراسات الاستيراتيجية إلى أن أخطر التداعيات المحتملة لهذا التوتر المتصاعد بين الجانبين بأنه قد يدفع الجزائر إلى إعادة النظر في حيادها تجاه النزاع المزمن في الشمال المالي، وخصوصا في علاقاتها مع الحركات الأزوادية. إعلان وتقول الدراسة بأنه إذا قررت الجزائر استخدام ورقة التأثير وعدم الحياد، فإن الحكومة في مالي ستجد نفسها أمام وضعية بالغة التعقيد، قد تجهض التقدم العسكري الذي حققته باماكو مؤخرا في مناطق الشمال. أما حكومة مالي، فقد برهنت من خلال العمليات العديدة التي قامت بها على الحدود مع موريتانيا والجزائر فإنها لا تعتبر احترام مبدأ عدم المخاطرة في انتقال الصراع عن طريق الحدود من أولياتها، بقدر ما تهتم بملاحقة المسلحين. ما مستقبل العلاقة بين البلدين؟ ومنذ عهد الاستقلال تميزت العلاقة بين الجزائر ومالي بالترابط والتشابك، وظلت الجزائر داعما اقتصاديا لحكومات باماكو. وقد تميز البلدان بعلاقات ثنائية خاصة، ساهم في تعزيزها الرئيس موديبو كيتا الذي كان اشتراكيا ويشاطر زعماء الجزائر في كثير من الأفكار والأيدلوجيات. وسعى مدويبو كيتا إلى إنهاء التوتر بين المغرب والجزائر عبر عقده لقمة خاصة جمعت بين البلدين عام 1968. وفي عام 2015 نجحت الجزائر في إنهاء الصراع في الشمال المالي الذي خلف أكثر من 130 قتيل، وتسبب في تشريد ريع مليون نسمة من مناطق كيدال وتمبكتو. ويستبعد مراقبون أن تصل الجزائر ومالي إلى مرحلة من العداء، أو حتى القطيعة النهائية للعلاقات الدبلوماسية بحكم المصالح المشتركة. كما أن السرعة اللافتة التي شكلها تعاطي بروكينافاسو والنيجر مع قرار سلطات مالي قد لا يتجاوز شكليات تقتضيها أعراف Being the meat and potatoes of so many updates long after it was released, it’s evident how influential and focal suit ‘skins’ are in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Indeed, Marvel’s Spider-Man nearly has it all between costumes that are comic book-inspired, Sam Raimi and MCU-inspired, and original designs, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 pedestaling suits even further with additional customization options. There are still costumes that haven’t been adapted or iterated, of course, and Insomniac has outright demonstrated why the suits that aren’t in-game may be as important to note as the ones that are.
