Bungie re-revealed its extraction shooter Marathon via livestream on Saturday. Marathon was officially revealed in May of 2023, and Bungie has been relatively quiet since its announcement. But as the studio gears up for the game’s Sept. 23 release date, it’s opening the floodgates on all things Marathon.The studio started the event with a quick intro and a flashy trailer, which you can see above, followed by some of its developers discussing the game in more detail. This led into a significantly longer trailer (narrated by Ben Starr of Final Fantasy 16 and Balatro fame) explaining how Marathon works.The idea is that each player inhabits the shell of a Runner, a bio-cybernetic mercenary body. Players will then group up in teams of three to drop into a variety of maps on the colony of Tau Ceti IV.Once they arrive, players will search around the environment to find loot and complete contracts for their factions back home. They’ll also encounter other players and be able to kill them to steal their loot. Players who are able to safely extract from Tau Ceti IV will maintain any and all gear they found while exploring and hunting. Death, however, will cause players to drop everything in their inventory — including any items they brought with them into the lobby.After more discussion, the event ended with a short film set in the Marathon universe, created by Alberto Mielgo, the 2022 Oscar winner for best animated short film (The Windshield Wiper). Mielgo has also worked on Love, Death & Robots and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The short film showcases the life of the Runners, featuring their bodies getting shredded by enemies, intercut with something reminiscent of the Voight-Kampff test from Blade Runner.Marathon will come to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X — despite the fact that Bungie was purchased by Sony in early 2022. كشفت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، أن نسبة التوطين في الوظائف الفنية في قطاع الطيران المدني خلال العام الماضي 2024، شهدت نمواً ملحوظاً مقارنة بعام 2023، إذ ارتفع عدد المواطنين العاملين في المجالات الفنية بنسب تفوق 18% خلال عام واحد فقط. واستعرضت الهيئة لـ«الإمارات اليوم»، أبرز مؤشرات النمو الخاصة بتوطين الوظائف في القطاع، لاسيما في عدد الطيارين الإماراتيين، وأطقم الضيافة الجوية، وعدد مهندسي الطيران، إضافة إلى كل من عدد المراقبين الجويين، وعدد موظفي عمليات الرحلات. وتفصيلاً، قال المدير العام للهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، سيف محمد السويدي، إن نسبة التوطين في الوظائف الفنية في قطاع الطيران المدني خلال العام الماضي 2024، شهدت نمواً ملحوظاً مقارنة بعام 2023، إذ ارتفع عدد المواطنين العاملين في المجالات الفنية بنسب تفوق 18% خلال عام واحد فقط. وأوضح رداً على أسئلة لـ«الإمارات اليوم» أن عدد الطيارين الإماراتيين ارتفع من 924 طياراً في عام 2023 إلى 1089 طياراً في عام 2024، بنمو نسبته 17.9%، فيما ارتفع عدد أطقم الضيافة الجوية الإماراتية من 25 إلى 28 مواطناً، بنسبة نمو بلغت 12%، في حين ارتفع عدد مهندسي الطيران الإماراتيين من 574 إلى 590 مواطناً ومواطنة، بزيادة نسبتها 2.8%. وأضاف أن عدد المراقبين الجويين الإماراتيين ارتفع كذلك من 126 إلى 133 إماراتياً، بنسبة نمو 5.6%، كما ارتفع عدد موظفي عمليات الرحلات من 22 إلى 26 إماراتياً، بنمو نسبته 18.2%. وأكد السويدي أن هذه الأرقام تعكس نجاح الجهود المبذولة لتعزيز مشاركة المواطنين في قطاع الطيران، لاسيما في مجالات الطيران القيادية، مثل الطيارين والمراقبين الجويين، مشيراً إلى أن قطاع الطيران شهد زيادة في معدلات التوطين، مدعوماً بالتوسع في شركات الطيران الوطنية، وتعزيز دورها في دفع عجلة النمو الاقتصادي في الدولة. وأوضح السويدي أن توطين الوظائف الفنية والمتخصصة في قطاع الطيران المدني يُمثل أولوية للهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، التي تعمل وفق استراتيجية متكاملة لتطوير وتدريب واستقطاب الكوادر الإماراتية في هذا القطاع، وذلك من خلال حملات توطين سنوية تتضمن مجموعة من الأنشطة مثل برنامج «براعم الطيران»، الذي يهدف إلى تحفيز الأجيال الناشئة على دراسة التخصصات المرتبطة بصناعة الطيران، فضلاً عن التعاون مع العديد من الجامعات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية والعلمية والبحثية، لتنمية مهارات ومعارف الطلاب في المجالات الدراسية المرتبطة بقطاع الطيران، وكذلك ربطهم مع الشركات العاملة في القطاع لتوفير فرص للتدريب والعمل، ومن أبرزها «كرسي الأستاذية» الخاص بالهيئة العامة للطيران المدني بجامعة الشارقة، الذي يضم برنامج الماجستير في القانون الجوي والفضائي. ولفت إلى أنه وإضافة إلى ذلك، فإن لدى الهيئة برامج تدريب متخصصة لتطوير وتأهيل الكوادر الوطنية في قطاع الطيران، من بينها البرنامج الوطني للتدريب على مراقبة الحركة الجوية وغيرها من البرامج المتخصصة. وذكر السويدي أن هناك مجموعة من التحديات التي تواجه جهود التوطين في قطاع الطيران، حيث يتمثل التحدي الأكبر في عدد الكوادر الوطنية المهتمة بالتخصصات الفنية المرتبطة بالقطاع، وكذلك الحاجة إلى تدريبات مكثفة وشهادات متخصصة لإمكانية الانضمام إلى الوظائف المتخصصة في القطاع، فضلاً عن التنافس مع القطاع الخاص، حيث تقدم بعض الشركات العالمية عروضاً أكثر جاذبية للمواهب الوطنية. وقال السويدي إن ضعف الإقبال على بعض الوظائف في القطاع، ربما يرجع إلى متطلبات العمل، مثل السفر المستمر، أو ساعات العمل الطويلة. وأكد أن الهيئة تعمل على تجاوز تلك التحديات من خلال توسيع برامج التدريب لزيادة عدد المواطنين المؤهلين لشغل الوظائف الفنية، وتقديم حوافز وضمانات وظيفية تسهم في جذب واستبقاء الكوادر الوطنية، علاوة على تعزيز الوعي حول الفرص المهنية في القطاع، وأهميتها للمستقبل الاقتصادي للدولة، والعمل مع الشركاء في القطاع، لضمان بيئة عمل جاذبة تحفز المواطنين على الانضمام والاستمرار في القطاع.  . %12 ارتفاعاً في عدد أطقم الضيافة الجوية الإماراتية خلال عام 2024. . 133 مراقباً جوياً إماراتياً في نهاية 2024 بنمو نسبته 5.6% عن عام 2023.
