WWW.BUSINESSINSIDER.COMMy divorces taught me that some family members are worth hanging on to, even when the marriage isn'tThough my marriages ended, my relationships with my ex's family members, including his new wife and their daughter, are strong. Courtesy of Jeanni Ritchie. 2025-04-30T22:25:02Z Save Saved Read in app This story is available exclusively to Business Insider subscribers. Become an Insider and start reading now. Have an account? I've had two divorces, one was brutal and the other was more civil. Despite the marriages ending, my relationships with many of the other family members have continued. I've learned that important relationships endure and my life is full because of them. My first divorce was an epic, prolonged Mr. and Mrs. Smith-style battle. We both went for the kill.We fought over the four kids, the house, the money. If we'd have had a dog, we would've fought over it too. The costly battle eventually ended our 12-year marriage with agreements about joint custody and handoffs taking place in public. At the time, our anger and hatred of each other superseded our children's need for peace and stability. They spent the rest of their childhood with parents lined up on opposite sides of a Red Rover, Red Rover game, running back and forth trying to break through the chaos. I wish I had known then what I know now.Life went on and relationships evolvedThe one bright spot in this difficult time after the end of our marriage was the birth of a new child, my kids' half-sister. She was the daughter of my ex-husband and his new wife. It did not matter that she was not biologically related, she was loved by my entire family, myself included. Some people always show up for youMy paternal grandmother died 16 years after my first divorce and I was surprised that my ex-husband drove 15 hours to pay his respects at her funeral.Sitting around the breakfast nook in the Kansas hotel with the entire extended family, I found myself face to face with him for the first time in years. Our conversation was brief but healing and I'm grateful for his presence that day. We found forgiveness that day and left the past in the past. It was the beginning of a new friendship, not just with him but with his new wife as well. I didn't know it at the time, but she would eventually become one of my best friends. My second marriage also ended, but important relationships enduredBy 2023 I was remarried and living a few states away from my hometown when I found that union coming to an end as well. While my second husband and I hadn't had any biological children, we'd been together 23 years. He was a big part of my kids' lives and he also had grandchildren from his two children from a previous marriage that weren't classified as step-grandkids in my mind. To them, I was just Gigi, and I was afraid the divorce would change that. My stepson and daughter-in-law, parents of four of the grandkids I was very close to, assured me that I would always be their grandmother and continued to invite me to school events. My ex's extended family, including his nieces and great-nieces, never even considered severing ties. They are still as much my family as they ever were.I have people in my cornerIt also didn't hurt that this divorce took place after the Gwyneth Paltrow-Chris Martin "conscious uncoupling" era. This time around, I even filed the paperwork myself, keeping open communication a priority for us both. It was a lesson learned in hindsight. We have remained friends, perhaps only becoming friends after the divorce. It's funny how everyday life can turn lovers into enemies, but I've learned you can find your way back to common ground. There is no third time's the charm for me. While I'm a hopeless romantic, I'd been married since I was 19 and am finally enjoying the life I'd always imagined all on my own. But there's one bonus — I now have family members in my corner from two other families as well. Recommended video0 Comments 0 Shares 19 Views

WWW.VOX.COMWhat happens when a Christian relationship expert’s marriage falls apart? For decades, Christian relationship advice has trended toward regressive ideas about gender: namely, that women should be submissive to their husbands, who in turn are the head of the household. Those ideas arguably penetrated the mainstream with the rise of the tradwife and the idyllic image of the monogamous home life she represents. Yet the romantic lives of modern Christian advice-givers are often a lot more complex than the traditional marriage roles they espouse. Millions of Christian conservative women who follow these authors seem to recognize that the writers’ imperfections are part of a longer journey toward self-improvement — a journey that might also reflect their own.Nowhere is that contradiction more evident than in mega-successful Christian author and influencer Lysa TerKeurst. On her way to amassing 3 million followers across social media, writing half a dozen New York Times bestsellers, and launching her own media network, TerKeurst has made messy confessionals a core part of her brand. TerKeurst spent most of the 2010s building her brand out of affirmative, Instagram-ready self-help advice, leaning heavily on the wholesome image of her family and her 25-year marriage. But then, something happened that might have been a dealbreaker for other Christian authors: TerKeurst got a divorce. Similar episodes have damaged the careers of Christian celebrities who were branded “false teachers” and could not overcome perceptions of having sinned. TerKeurst, however, not only acknowledged her own failed relationship — she mined it for further wisdom, placing her among a new wave of Christian self-help authors, who are writing more candidly about their struggles. TerKeurst’s audience has responded by making her one of the most successful authors in the genre: She currently has not one, not two, but five books concurrently on the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s Christian bestsellers list. TerKeurst’s popularity appears to demonstrate a longing for a less rigid, more forgiving view of Christian relationships, even as her fans continue to revere the idea of a traditional marriage.TerKeurst made her vulnerability a cornerstone of her brand For decades, the average Christian self-help book has framed marriage as a divinely ordained arrangement that’s ultimately about serving God and reifying gender roles. Classic texts like 1963’s Fascinating Womanhood and 1984’s Passion and Purity that are still popular today forward antiquated views on women (for example that man is “the initiator,” woman “the responder” and “helper”), while the purity culture that dominated the books of the ’90s continues to influence today’s authors. From the beginning, TerKeurst was an outlier in advocating mutual partnerships in marriages — a theme well out of step with her peers. The theme of women’s submission to men was and is ubiquitous. To get a flavor, just read a passage from Stormie Omartian’s 1996 bestseller The Power of a Praying Wife: “Lord, help me to be a good wife,” she writes. “Take my selfishness, impatience, and irritability and turn them into kindness, long-suffering, and the willingness to bear all things.”It was into this crowded, archaic environment that TerKeurst, in the early 2000s, launched her long and determined writing career, peddling general advice aimed mainly at Christian women. From the beginning, she was an outlier in advocating mutual partnerships in marriages — a theme well out of step with her peers. In 2002, for example, she published a pair of guides, one for men and one for women, in which she outlined her marriage philosophy. She parroted the usual evangelical tropes about submission and gender difference (one chapter of her women’s guide is titled “Boys will be boys”), but she also pointed out to men that “Your wife needs you to be her teammate in raising the kids and taking care of the home.”TerKeurst also blogged incessantly, gradually building a following by focusing on lifestyle and dieting advice. Among her key attributes was vulnerability: In 2008, she wrote about getting an abortion a few months after she began dating her husband, and how the accompanying guilt and shame subsequently impacted her marriage. Her breakout success didn’t come until her 14th release, 2011’s Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food. TerKeurst’s spin on diet culture, and the divine stamp she put on the pressure to be thin, proved popular. The book wound up hitting the New York Times bestseller list, reportedly selling 200,000 copies in nine months. From there, TerKeurst became a frequent contributor to NBC’s Today, helping her reach a wider audience. Her bite-sized, memorable aphorisms around the messages of self-image and empowerment (e.g. “those who constantly try to impress others will depress themselves”) were tailor-made for the early years of Instagram and other social media, alongside a perpetual barrage of family photos with attractive filters of her husband and their five kids. While her blog frequently embraced her struggles as a mother and wife, her social media image was a pastel montage of a cozy life of family, fabulous vacations, and famous friends, as well as loving tributes to her husband, businessman Art TerKeurst. When things went south, she wrote her way outFrom the start of her writing career, TerKeurst wrote about ongoing issues in her marriage; in 2002’s Capture Her Heart, she wrote about starting off the marriage with a host of issues and seeing multiple couples counselors without success. A decade and a half later, in a since-deleted 2017 blog post, TerKeurst revealed that her husband had been having an affair for several years, as well as experienced substance abuse. “I’ve always encouraged women to fight for their marriages and to do everything possible to save them when they come under threat,” she wrote. “So, for the past couple of years I have been in the hardest battle of my life trying to save my marriage.” The news drew shocked reactions, but many of TerKeurst’s fans were sympathetic. “Art and Lisa TerKeurst are a fairly ‘famous’ Christian family,” one Christian blogger wrote after TerKeurst’s post announcing her divorce. “Now, through her transparency in the demise of her marriage, I have learned something about my marriage ... At some point, Art TerKeurst made one bad choice that led to a slew of others. And so can I. And so can my spouse. And so can you and yours.”Despite her intent to get a divorce, the following year the couple renewed their vows instead in a high-profile ceremony. That new recommitment didn’t last, however; in 2022, TerKeurst detailed in an Instagram post that despite ongoing efforts to repair her marriage, her husband had continued to cheat, ultimately firming her resolve to choose divorce. “I’ve had to learn the hard way there’s a big difference between mistakes (which we all make) and chosen patterns of behavior that dishonor God and the biblical covenant of marriage,” she wrote.TerKeurst wasn’t the only high-profile Christian advice author who was caught up in a divorce scandal through this period; Christian blogger Glennon Doyle had a similar experience in 2016, only to swiftly fall for another woman, break with evangelical culture, and start a hit liberal podcast. TerKeurst, though, chose a less rebellious path: She continued to publish her relationship advice to her audience of Christian women looking for love in a so-called traditional marriage — only now her emphasis shifted to processing the trauma of a failed relationship. Rather than sticking out a toxic situation at all costs, she now leaned into the idea of letting God help her and her audience heal from heartbreak and betrayal while learning to set boundaries. “We can’t enable bad behavior in ourselves and others and call it love,” she wrote in 2022’s Good Boundaries and Goodbye. “We can’t tolerate destructive patterns and call it love.” And in 2024’s I Want to Trust You, but I Don’t: “Rebuilding trust requires a combination of three things: Time, believable behavior, and a track record of trustworthiness.” TerKeurst’s flavor of Christian self-help is becoming more and more commonThis message of empowerment and insistence on the right to exit a floundering relationship is a far cry from the vast majority of Christian advice literature, with its emphasis on submission and staying in the marriage at all costs. But it’s increasingly a part of the literary and social media diet of Christian women.“Christian women authors, as with many mainstream women authors, derive a lot of their authority from their vulnerability,” journalist Katelyn Beaty, author of Celebrities for Jesus: How Personas, Platforms, and Profits Are Hurting the Church, told Vox in an email. “Self-disclosure in the form of storytelling is a kind of credentialing.” Writers like Rebekah Lyons and Ann Voskamp, for example, have opened up about their mental health struggles, while others like Jennie Allen have been painfully honest about their relationship struggles, such as Allen’s husband’s ongoing depression. Overly idealized social media feeds and stories from influencers have even drawn backlash from audiences for presenting a false view of Christianity. Women are now gravitating toward influencers like TerKeurst who offer a less glossy version of their lives. “Christian women want to feel that their favorite authors and Instagram follows are as flawed and ‘broken’ as they are,” Beaty said, “even if they still appear on social media with perfect hair, beautiful families, and fashionable clothing.” “Christian influencers and self-help experts are still held to a high moral and spiritual standard,” she added, citing influential figures like Carl Lentz, who was fired from Hillsong Church after an affair and allegations of abusing his staff. “But authors may be held to a lower standard than people in official church and ministry leadership positions…Christians can relate strongly to a story of confessing sin, admitting brokenness, and seeking forgiveness and change.” While TerKeurst’s embrace of her own relationship difficulties has only boosted her marketability, she isn’t without controversy. Her conservative detractors have claimed that she’s too liberal, while others have accused her of forwarding various “non-Biblical claims,” including “instructing men,” and for allying with proponents of the controversial prosperity gospel. Other critics have pointed out that her media company, Proverbs 31 Ministry, accepted $690,000 in Paycheck Protection Program loans following the pandemic, despite her lucrative income; her speaker fees alone reportedly range from $20,000 to $30,000.In 2024, about two years after TerKeurst’s divorce announcement, she remarried and restarted newlywed life. Her books, however, are still looking backward: Her next release, due this fall, is titled Surviving an Unwanted Divorce. TerKeurst has managed to develop a deep bond with her readers and constructed a durable fan base by strategically sharing bits of herself, knowing she wasn’t alone in her experiences. “This beautifully honest, candid and encouraging book has been a therapist, a nurse and a friend to me throughout the darkest winter of my life,” one reviewer wrote of the 2023 devotional collection You’re Going to Make It. “Thank you Lysa. By sharing your journey, you eased mine. I am very grateful.”See More:0 Comments 0 Shares 20 Views

METRO.CO.UKSeth Rogen coming to Call Of Duty in weed-themed DLC as Star Wars hits FortniteSuper Stoner Bros. (Activision) Superbad and Donkey Kong actor Seth Rogen is an operator in the next season of Call Of Duty, as a new Star Wars TV show premieres in Fortnite. Following the addition of Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob earlier this month, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is keeping up the stoner theme in its next seasonal update. Seth Rogen, known for comedy films such as Knocked Up and Superbad, voicing Donkey Kong in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, and having his own cannabis brand, will be an operator in Call Of Duty’s Season 3 Reloaded as part of the High Art event pass. The High Art pass will have two tiers: one free and one premium. In the free track, you’ll be able to unlock stickers and emblems themed around the actor, but Rogen’s operator will be locked behind the premium tier, alongside weed-themed decals, a laughing emote, and a multi-coloured operator skin. When will Seth Rogen be released in Call Of Duty? Rogen’s operator will be available when Season 3 Reloaded starts on Thursday, May 1. The season is set to start at 5pm BST in the UK, which translates to 9am PT in the US, across all platforms. The season runs for two weeks and concludes on May 15, 2025. To unlock Rogen as an operator, you’ll have to purchase access to the premium track of the High Art event pass for 1,100 COD points, which is around £10.99. As outlined in a blog post, the rest of the season includes two new multiplayer maps (Haven and Signal) in Black Ops 6, a Joint Operations limited time mode, new modes for Zombies, and updates to the Verdansk map in Warzone. Rogen is locked behind the premium tier (Activision) When does the Star Wars event begin in Fortnite? Call Of Duty isn’t the only juggernaut shooter on the brink of a big event, as Fortnite is about to kick off another collaboration with Star Wars. Fortnite: Galactic Battle is set to kick off on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 3pm BST in the UK and 10am ET in the US. During this event, players can play as Darth Jar Jar, General Grievous, or Emperor Palpatine, and pilot X-wings and TIE Fighters around the map. The event will also see an early premiere of new TV show. If you head to the Star Wars Watch Party Island on May 2, you can watch the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld before it arrives on Disney+ on May 4, 2025. More Trending Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld is a six-episode series which follows bounty hunters Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, characters who were last seen in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Book Of Boba Fett, respectively. However, Ventress originally debuted in 2003 animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars and Cad Bane first appeared in 2009, as part of the CGI driven The Clone Wars. While this is the first time a Disney+ show has premiered inside Fortnite, the game has staged watch parties for other media in the past, including the trailer for Christopher Nolan’s 2020 film Tenet. Its most infamous Star Wars crossover though was featuring the backstory to Emperor Palpatine’s revival in The Rise Of Skywalker, which, incredibly, was not explained in the actual movie. GIZMODO.COMI Know What You Did Last Summer‘s Returning Star on Being a Slasher SurvivorBy Cheryl Eddy Published April 30, 2025 | Comments (0) | Freddy Prinze Jr. in 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer. © Sony Freddy Prinze Jr.’s Ray survived the first round of hook-wielding horrors in 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer—then prevailed again when the mayhem shifted to a different seaside locale in 1998 sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. That’s an incredible record for a Final Girl boyfriend in a slasher series, and Prinze—who will play the role again in the upcoming reboot—says that this time around, Ray has a new survival skill: vulnerability. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Prinze explained that he and the film’s director and co-writer, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge), aimed to bring a version of Ray to the screen that would feel realistic, considering what he went through three decades prior. “I think what [Robinson and I] both brought to Ray was a lot more vulnerability in this movie,” Prinze said. The character now runs a bar, and as the first I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot trailer showed, he’s one of the first to speak out when a serial killer begins targeting the younger generation. The violence also triggers the horrifying memories Ray has of his own experiences. “The amount of vulnerability we were able to put in there, I thought, was really honest and just organic.” Clearly, Ray’s still feeling the effects of going to hell and back. “Catching up with Ray, you see how that has shaped him into the position he’s in now. He loves his town and not everyone else does, in his view, and he’s a little grumpier with the way the world has treated him since [the 1997 Southport Massacre],” Prinze said. “So he has gone through a lot, and I don’t know if he’s dealt with it the way the modern man deals with stuff, you know what I mean? He’s a guy from the ’90s like myself, so I think he’s probably bottled up a lot more of those feelings we’ve talked about.” Making it through decades of trauma is one thing. But diehard fans might be wondering just how it is that Ray and Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character) survived that cheeky cliffhanger ending of I Still Know, which suggested they were both about to meet certain doom—building on a similar ending from the original, which made it seem like Julie was done for. Robinson has clearly thought a lot about this, telling Entertainment Weekly that “I feel like those final scenes in the first two movies live outside the canon … because in the first movie she gets attacked through the shower, through the glass door, and in the second movie, she gets pulled under the bed. So they’re both alive and well, and what I will say is that we have continued the tradition in our film.” Oh boy. We’re hoping that means both legacy characters come out on top (again) in I Know What You Did Last Summer, out July 18. Want more io9 news? Text description provided by the architects. The project for the new leather's manufacture in Riom is being established within a section of the town's former Tobacco Factory, built in 1877. Located near the city center, just 400 meters from the train station, the twenty or so buildings are bordered to the east by railway tracks, and to the north, south, and west by residential areas and intermediate housing.Save this picture!Save this picture!Save this picture! The rehabilitation of the Tobacco Factory preserves and enhances the building's envelope and roof, which have been listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments since 2004. The project integrates itself humbly and discreetly within the existing structure. Unlike the group's usual single-story workshops, this building necessitates a multi-story leather's manufacture facility. A vertical design approach was therefore adopted to ensure an efficient and effective workflow and connectivity across all spaces. The intervention aims to maintain the site's manufacturing vocation, preserve exceptional craftsmanship, and revitalize this industrial heritage by adapting it to contemporary production practices: "destroy as little as possible and build as little as possible."Save this picture!Save this picture!Save this picture!Unsightly additions (such as freight elevators and rooftop exhausts) have been removed, and in keeping with the original roof trusses, some roof sections have been replaced with skylights or an open patio, bringing natural light into the heart of the workshops. The new entrance is marked by grand openings that extend the existing ones. Additionally, a fully glazed footbridge now connects the first floors of the two buildings. Finally, to make use of the attic space with its magnificent curved concrete framework, skylights integrated into the sloping roof provide illumination for the workspaces.Save this picture!By repurposing an existing building, the project significantly reduces its carbon footprint. The use of bio-based materials (wooden structures, hemp insulation) aligns with traditional construction methods while minimizing ecological impact (natural ventilation). WWW.DISCOVERMAGAZINE.COMThis Elephant Lived in Europe for 700,000 Years — Could It Live There Today?Scientists studied stone tools, bone flakes and rare elephant remains at a middle Pleistocene site. Their findings shed light on the evolution of giant elephants and humans alike. (Image Credit: Chen Yu)NewsletterSign up for our email newsletter for the latest science newsEurope isn’t known for its elephants. At least, the three species of elephant that traverse Earth today — the African elephants Loxodonta africana and Loxodonta cyclotis and the Asian elephant Elephas maximus — aren’t famous for wandering through Europe. But not too long ago, the straight-tusked elephant Palaeoloxodon antiquus lived throughout the continent, leaving a lasting trace on the European terrain. An April 2025 study in Frontiers in Biogeography takes another look at these extinct herbivores, which were wiped out by human hunting during the last Ice Age between around 50,000 and 34,000 years ago. Recreating their range and reconstructing their habitats, the new study finds that the current climate conditions of Europe could still suit the straight-tusked elephant, that is, if these elephants were actually around today. Ancient Elephant EngineersCurrent potential distribution of the straight-tusked elephant (Palaeoloxodon antiquus) in Europe. The coloring represents the probability of occurrence, with grey indicating “very unlikely” and dark green “very likely.” The black dots mark the fossil finds on which the prediction is based. (Image Credit: Gaiser et al.) P. antiquus elephants lived in Europe for around 700,000 years, surviving several ice ages before their disappearance. “Fossil evidence shows that P. antiquus often inhabited open or semi-open habitats with mosaic-like vegetation,” said Manuel Steinbauer, the senior author of the new study and an ecologist at the University of Bayreuth in Germany, according to a press release. That’s one of the things that makes them “similar to modern elephants,” he added in the release.Another similarity is their respective environmental impact. Modern elephants are expert “ecosystem engineers” and tend to shape their surroundings, trimming the vegetation through grazing and leveling the geography through trampling. Throughout their time in Europe, straight-tusked elephants changed their habitats, too, maintaining the thin woodlands and the open terrain that would’ve filled out otherwise.“In the past, megafauna like the straight-tusked elephant and their regulatory mechanisms — such as grazing — were omnipresent,” said Franka Gaiser, the lead author of the study and another ecologist at the University of Bayreuth, according to the release. “Many European species, particularly plants that thrive in open habitats, likely established in their diversity in Europe because they benefited from these ecological influences.”Indeed, the landscapes that P. antiquus sustained could still suit many of Europe’s native plants, but could P. antiquus still support those same environments? In other words, could P. antiquus thrive in Europe today if they had not been hunted to extinction? A Current Climate for Elephant Landscapers?Hoping to find out, the authors of the new study looked through previously published papers for fossils of P. antiquus. Assigning specific fossils to specific periods of warm and cool weather, then consulting climate models from those specific periods, the team was able to reconstruct the ranges and habitats of P. antiquus throughout history.Comparing these historical habitats to the habitats of Europe over the past 50,000 to 34,000 years, the team revealed that straight-tusked elephants could’ve survived to the present, considering climate alone, if human hunting hadn’t wiped them out. The team also revealed that straight-tusked elephants could thrive today, specifically in the flatter areas of Western and Central Europe.According to the team, the results reveal the shortcomings of traditional conservation strategies in Europe, as these strategies typically attempt to maintain European ecosystems as they are, not as they were. “Traditional conservation strategies in Europe primarily aim to protect biodiversity by shielding habitats from human activities,” Gaiser said in the release. “However, this strategy alone is unlikely to restore the lost ecological functions of megafauna,” including the sustainable landscaping of the straight-tusked elephant. It is possible that the reintroduction of extant herbivores, like horses and cattle, into Europe could compensate for the loss of extinct herbivores, like straight-tusked elephants, to an extent. But whether extant megafauna could replace extinct megafauna completely, at least when it comes to their landscaping abilities, isn’t clear. Though only time could tell, it’s entirely possible there is no other species that can shape the European terrain quite like a straight-tusked elephant.Read More: Which Animals Did Early Humans Mainly Hunt?Article SourcesOur writers at Discovermagazine.com use peer-reviewed studies and high-quality sources for our articles, and our editors review for scientific accuracy and editorial standards. WWW.POPSCI.COMFuture planets revealed in unprecedented detailOur solar system is approximately 4.6 billion years old, but countless planetary neighborhoods are still just getting their start. Identifying and studying these newcomers isn’t always easy, but thanks to recently developed techniques an international research team has captured some of the sharpest images ever seen of protoplanetary disks inside more than a dozen early star systems. The discoveries are the latest from the exoALMA project, an international collaboration that uses an instrument called the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile to scan the skies. But instead of searching for a planet’s direct light, astronomers used ALMA to identify the effects of potential planetary subjects on their cosmic surroundings. Pinte and colleagues started by designing new calibration approaches and refining their analysis methods. The team focused particularly on aligning observations taken at different times, while also flagging and eliminating unwanted distortions and noise in the data. They then applied these methods to massive datasets collected by ALMA from 15 young star systems in order to identify potential protoplanet hotspots. The results allowed for a first-of-its-kind systemic study of the 3D structures of multiple protoplanet disks. The disks the team studied range from only a few hundred to around 1,000 light-years from Earth. Clues that pointed astronomers to these locations included swirling gas influenced by an early planet’s gravity, as well as rings and gaps of dust inside dust disks. The survey also clearly showed protoplanetary disks are home to highly dynamic environments that result in complex relationships between galactic dust and gas. “The new approaches we’ve developed to gather this data and images are like switching from reading glasses to high-powered binoculars,” said principal investigator Richard Teague. “They reveal a whole new level of detail in these planet-forming systems.
