Later this month, gamers will be introduced to Kay Vess, the main character of Star Wars Outlaws. Actress Humberly Gonzalez performed as Kay through motion capture and lent her likeness and voice to the character as well. Although there aren't currently any plans for Kay to appear in a live-action Star Wars project, it won't take much convincing to get Gonzalez on board to reprise her role.When asked by VGC if she wants to play Kay in live-action, Gonzalez replied, "Absolutely. Seeing what an actual human connection to the world could look like, I know I have the skills to bring that to real life... There's definitely this sense of beautiful responsibility, but I also feel like if I were going to be in any franchise, I feel honored and ready to be part of this one."Gonzalez isn't the first performer in a Star Wars video game who physically resembles their character. Janina Gavankar appeared as Iden Versio in Star Wars Battlefront II, while Cameron Monaghan has headlined Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as a young Jedi named Cal Kestis. Deadpool & Wolverine continues to soar at the box office, and the film is expected to pass a major milestone today, July 30. The movie should reach $500 million globally as of today, Deadline reported, and it's even pacing ahead of Avatar: The Way of Water so far.The three-day opening weekend for Deadpool & Wolverine saw the film earn $444.1 million, including $211 million from North America alone. The movie continued to rake in money on Monday, bringing the worldwide total for Deadpool & Wolverine to $496.3 million. From Software's 1.13 update for Elden Ring is available now and introduces a lot of changes to the game. A significant part of the update aims to make it easier to kill one another in PvP, as well as general balance adjustments and changes to Armaments.Going forward, poise damage will be increased for Light Great Swords, Backhand Blades, Hand-to-Hand Arts, and Beast Claws whenever someone plays PvP. The same applies to dual-wield attacks, which includes weapons like Straight Swords, Thursting Swords, and Curved Swords. In addition, whenever players use Miriam's Vanishing, they'll have a decreased invulnerability window against other players when they attack.Aside from PvP, Needle Knight Leda, Pureblood Knight Ansbach, and Thiollier will receive increased stats when summoned in specific areas. The last few years have kept PlayStation owners busy. 2023 alone produced Resident Evil 4 (remake), Diablo 4, Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 16, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2, just to mention a few major releases, and 2024 is mostly trying to do the same. The PlayStation 5 library is consistently expanding, and the best is presumably yet to come for Sony's current console. In the meantime, the PlayStation 4 continues to receive love with cross-generation titles, so people who have yet to upgrade still have plenty to look forward to.
