There have been tweaks to the subclasses, meaning that crafting the best Destiny 2 builds has changed all over again. What use is a great build without some fun new weapons to wield alongside it, though? Weve got a full list of all of the new guns added to Destiny 2 for Heresy.Destiny 2 Heresy ExoticsLodestar Exotic trace rifleLodestarThis Arc Exotic Trace Rifle fires a low-intensity Starlight Beam and boasts enhanced stability and accuracy. Dealing Arc damage from any source will align the weapons battery coils. When alignment is complete, press your alternate weapon action button to disengage the safety. This will enable a hip-fired Starlight Beam to apply Jolt to any targets damaged for a short time. You can slow the rate at which the battery drains by aiming down the weapons sights. This new Exotic can be obtained in the season pass, and its Arc energy means its a perfect pairing for the Arc adjustments that have been made for all classes.Finalitys AugerThis Solar Linear Fusion Rifle is the Exotic you can get from completing the Sundered Doctrine dungeon. Its Ruinscribes Forge perk allows you to hold your alternate weapon action button to fire a special projectile that will deploy a Ruinscribe Turret. This costs three ammo to fire, and can be aimed towards the sky to provide the best and clearest sightlines for the turret. When deployed, the turret will automatically shoot at nearby enemies. While the turret is deployed, Finalitys Auger can paint targets with its laser projectiles, making the turret prioritize those painted targets, firing more powerful rounds at them. You can use the alternate weapon action button to trigger the laser fire mode on or off. While this weapon isn't yet viewable in-game, you can expect to see it following the first completion of the new dungeon.Continue Reading at GameSpot

  • Even the tiniest mysteries in this anime drive me crazy
    www.polygon.com
In the middle of the fourth episode of this season of The Apothecary Diaries (my favorite show of 2024), I was super excited because I thought I figured out one of season 2s big mysteries.Theyre totally doing a Padm and handmaiden switcheroo, I confidently said to my husband.[Ed. note: This post contains spoilers for the first four episodes of season 2 of The Apothecary Diaries.]My evidence? The opening sequence depicted four of the emperors concubines in separate frames, each with a mirror image of herself. But there was a fifth pair, showcasing a blond woman we havent seen yet. However, instead of being juxtaposed with a copy of herself like the other characters, there were two very similar-looking blond women on screen. One has a longer fringe and wears a red necklace, smirking at the camera. The other has shorter face-framing bangs and a blue necklace and looks serious.Clearly, these women were important I figured that they were the much-hinted-at mysterious foreign envoy visiting the emperor. And because the title sequence portrayed them in the same pose as the concubines, I figured theyd be posing as one person, while secretly being two people. The drama! The intrigue! The sublime soap opera twist so perfect for this take on Chinese court dramas! But then, near the end of the episode, rear palace administrator Jinshi and his attendant Gaoshun point-blank tell Maomao that there are two foreign envoys and theyre cousins who look similar. My big theory was busted. Instead of being disappointed, though, I immediately started spinning new ideas, fueled by some hints and reveals in this episode. Why did Gaoshun ask Maomao for help about a seemingly separate incident involving nearly identical sisters? Was he really asking about the envoy? Whats up with these big mirrors that the envoy sent to all the high-ranking concubines? Why do they want to see a famed courtesan from nearly 50 years ago?In a different show, this sort of endless guess and reveal might be exhausting. But in Apothecary Diaries its part of the allure. Every time I think I know whats going on with The Apothecary Diaries, Im presented with new information. Sometimes it validates my budding theories; other times, like right now, it veers me completely off track. Either way, I happily get back to my metaphorical evidence board, adding another clue and tacking it together with red yarn. Even if an episode doesnt have a big reveal, it will typically solve a smaller mystery or uncover another juicy detail just enough to keep me on the hook for more. Maybe next time there will be a bigger reveal! Or next time. Or next timeThe show does such a great job of satisfying the current mysteries just enough while continuing to thread other overarching themes. Maomao solves one smaller mystery in most of the episodes, but it seems every lower-stakes problem leads to something bigger. It also helps that we as the audience get to see just a smidge more than Maomao, so were both learning things at the same time as her and also getting a few extra clues. We get to see a brief scene of the two blond women watching a parade of courtesans before Jinshi and Gaoshun tell Maomao about the envoy. So while Maomao was surprised to hear that the envoy looking for a specific beautiful woman was actually two women themselves, the audience could already deduce that. Now, Maomao has brilliant deduction skills, has a more intimate knowledge of the world she exists in, and is also the main character, so shes definitely going to be ahead of me in figuring out whats going on, but damn it if I dont want to play along!Im particularly compelled by the mysteries as a unique blend of medical drama (something like House, but period-appropriate) with the added political and socioeconomic intrigue of a court drama. Its intriguing to see how the specific setting affects not only the stakes at hand, but how Maomao goes about solving them. She is, after all, a commoner working in the imperial palace, and theres only so much she can do. So getting to see how she navigates around that and how she brings her knack for medicine, poisons, and human anatomy into play adds even more to the mysteries. I dont just want to know whats going on in the greater scheme; I want to know how Maomao will eventually find out herself. There is, after all, one big thing that the audience knows about Jinshi that Maomao has yet to figure out. But its not just the answer Im looking for confirmation on; its Maomaos own journey to it.Its also hilarious, because Maomao doesnt actually want to disturb the status quo too much. So even if she finds herself intrigued by something, if it involves a huge disruption, she decides to stay out of it until she cant ignore it. However, nothings stopping me from interrogating nobles motives and poking my nose into court drama nothing except the fact that episodes drop weekly and Im gnashing my teeth waiting for the next one.The Apothecary Diariesis available to stream on Crunchyroll. The first four episodes of season 2 are out now, with new episodes premiering on Fridays.

  • Metal Gear Solid 3 remake release date(and Ape Escape mode) leaks via PSN
    www.polygon.com
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to PlayStation 5 (and presumably Windows PC) on Aug. 28, a new trailer discovered on Sonys PlayStation Network has revealed. That trailer also confirmed that Konamis elaborate remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 will include the beloved Snake vs. Monkey minigame from the original PlayStation 2 version will return in Delta.Snake vs. Monkey pits Naked Snake against the runaway apes of Sonys Ape Escape franchise, tasking the secret agent with securing a troop of monkeys by stunning them with non-lethal weapons. Successfully completing the task in the PS2 versions of Metal Gear Solid 3 netted the player a monkey mask and banana camouflage suit for Snake. The return of Snake vs. Monkey further confirms that now is a good time to be an Ape Escape fan.Konamis release date trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta also teases that something more is coming to the remake. What that means is unclear, though re-releases of Metal Gear Solid 3, namely the Subsistence version, added the Metal Gear Online multiplayer mode and classic versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. While Konami has not officially promoted the summertime release of Metal Gear Solid Delta yet, the trailer that revealed that long-awaited date certainly appears legit. With reports of a new State of Play presentation from Sony imminent, we can probably expect this one to be confirmed quickly. Polygon has reached out to Konami to confirm MGS Deltas August release and will update this post when the company responds.Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced in 2023. Alongside that reveal, Konami promised that the remake will feature the original games voice actors and a faithful recreation of the original story remade with unprecedented graphics and immersive sound. Delta may just be the beginning of Konamis Metal Gear remake efforts.Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterwas originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2004. The prequel to the originalMetal Gearis set in the 1960s, and puts players in control of Naked Snake (aka Big Boss, the antagonist of the very first game in the franchise) on a mission set largely in Soviet Russia.Metal Gear Solid 3introduced a camouflage-based layer to the franchises stealth-based gameplay, along with close-quarters combat mechanics. The follow-up to the groundbreaking and divisiveMetal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Libertywas met with near-universal acclaim when it was first released. The games memorable story, in-depth boss fights, and heavily memedladder-climbing sequencehelped makeMetal Gear Solid 3one of the most beloved entries in the franchise to say nothing of its earwormy Snake Eater theme song.

  • The New Lexon x Pantone Collaboration Is Just the Right Shade
    design-milk.com
The Lexon x Pantone Collaboration is a dynamic culmination of what both brands do best: color. Lexon, known and loved in the industry since 1991 for their fun electronics and speakers, has always considered color a need, not a want. This separates them from many other more technical brands, straying away from the black and gray that haunts most electronics. Pantone is the global authority on all things color, started in the 1950s as a way to categorize colors for printing. This collaboration features five familiar Lexon classics, the Mino+ mini Bluetooth speaker, Flip Classic reversible alarm clock, Mina M LED lamp, Tykho 3 radio & Bluetooth speaker, and the Orbe LED lamp. Both brands share a common goal: making design and color accessible to everyone in their daily lives. Together, they create products that are not only technologically advanced but also visually striking, ensuring that high-quality design and the latest color trends enhance everyday experiences for all, declares Boris Brault, CEO of Lexon. This is immediately apparent in this collection, embracing three Pantone Colors of the Year from 2009, 2016, and 2020.Each product comes in six distilled colors, carefully chosen to work separately or together: Mimosa, Classic Blue, Rose Quartz, Sand Dollar, Pastel Green, and 2035, a brilliant red. Each piece in the collection sports a white band with iconic Pantone branding, as well as a color name and code. Each product gracefully blends the clean, color blocked aesthetic with the sensitivity to color that we can always expect from Lexon and Pantone. Above, the Flip Classic in colorway Mimosa is a bright and joyous addition to any nightstand or desk.Seen above is the Rose Quartz color, simultaneously sophisticated and playful. This color is popping up all over from runways to interiors, embracing a softer, sensitive side. No longer just for little ones, Rose Quartz is a whimsical and agreeable shade that nestles comfortably within the rest of the palette.Next we have 2035, an energetic red that is classic in hue. Red is dynamic and powerful, adding liveliness and a bold splash of color. Seen here on the Mino+ Bluetooth speaker, this red would go perfectly in a kitchen or kids room to add brightness and fun.Blue is immutably timeless, comforting, and serene as the ocean or the sky. This deep, cobalt hue, aptly named Classic Blue, is the perfect shade to complement any cool-toned interior. This would also be nice as a contrast to a walnut table, or other darker wood.A refreshing shade of mint adorns our next set the Mina Lamp is shown in Pastel Green. This bright and happy color is perfect for springtime, reminding us of warmer months when the days get shorter. Perfectly proportioned and adorably small, the Mina Lamp is a cute addition to any surface that needs a bit of illumination.Last but not least is the relatively reserved Sand Dollar, grounding the collection in its neutrality. A warm, inviting tan, almost the color of whipped honey, its earthy, fashionable, and fun. Shown on the iconic Orbe lamp, the head is portable and can be positioned in any way you need a bit more light. Appropriate for an office or desk, just point and turn on for a sleek little lighting solution. This collaboration between Lexon and Pantone comes at a time when we all need a bit more color in our lives. Each product is a blend of functionality and design, aimed at enhancing everyday experiences with style and simplicity. In collaboration with Pantone, we carefully curated a bold and diverse color palette to inspire creativity and elevate daily life, says Annabel Corlay, marketing expert at Lexon. To learn more about Lexon and the Lexon x Pantone collaboration, visit lexon-design.com.

    design-milk.com
Power accessories can be helpfuland look cool in the process. And, perhaps there are no cooler looking chargers than the new Genki Moonbase, which is a 7-in-1 device that not only keeps all your devices charged up and powered, but does so in style. The Moonbase is a power strip that has three outlets built right into it. Also built into it, however, is a 240W USB-C charger, which can keep your devices charged up through four USB-C ports built into the end of the device. A single one of those USB-C ports can deliver up to 140W of power which is more than enough to keep even the more power-hungry laptops charged up, even under heavy usage. With the USB-C ports and power outlets, it can charge seven things at one time. But there are other products out there that can charge devices, even with a similar amount of power delivery. What makes the Moonbase so much cooler is its sci-fi-inspired design. The device offers three transparent AC outlets, each of which has color-changing LED lights that can be altered using a capacitive button (or turned off completely). There are various other interesting design touches too, from the Node labels for the power outlets, to the sci-fi-like design motifs. Its actually available in two color schemes, including Moonlight, which is an orange-and-white combination, or Darkside, which is a black-and-blue colorway. The Moonbase is expandable, as it supports modular accessories, including the TurboCharger expansion, which can turn the device into a 10-port hub. And, its built for safety, with features like surge protection, safety doors for homes with kids, and grounding protection. The Moonbase is currently undergoing Indiegogo funding, where its available at a discount for as little as $88, however when it launches to the public itll have a list price of $120. Other packages are available too, including a pack with USB-C cables.

  • All the Gardening Tasks You Should Complete in February
    lifehacker.com
February is cold, wet, windy and downright inhospitable to outdoor gardeningbut you know you are mere weeks from the start of spring. The irises and crocuses are beginning to emerge. Like most gardeners, this fills me with both excitement and anxiety with a capital Aam I already behind? Youre not, because February is the time to catch up. So in this, the shortest of months, you have not one, but two jobs: Wrap up all the things youve not yet accomplished for winter, while preparing for spring. By the time we talk next month, well be deep in seeding season.Get your fruit readyWere at the tail end of the work thatll determine what kind of fruit harvest youll have. Start by pruning any fruit trees and shrubs you havent gotten to yet. This includes blueberries, currants, huckleberries, winterberries, and all other berry shrubsit is officially last call for this. Prune and train your grapes, and prune back your fall-bearing raspberries. Check with your garden center to see if its time to prune summer-bearing raspberries and other cane fruit. If youre planting fruit trees or shrubs this year, the window is now open. Its also the right time to relocate any trees or shrubs that might do better elsewhere. You can start planting rhubarb, too.Once youre done with the structural work above, its time to think about fertilizing all that fruit. Your garden center can help you with fertilizer specifically for fruit trees, vines, and the special acidic fertilizer that blueberries love.I urge you to start considering strawberries. These early fruiting berries sneak up on you, and you'd be wise to spend some time considering where they'll go, what you need to do to prep the area (adding sand and compost) and what varieties you'll plant. If youre up for the challenge, consider cloche-ing or wrapping your strawberries to encourage an early fruiting.Take care of your rosesAs with fruit, now is the time to give your roses the late winter chop. If youve never really paid attention before, this kind of pruning helps encourage your roses to grow strong vines with prolific blooms. Just letting them grow without any pruning or training can result in scraggly and crooked vines. Consult a guide to pruning roses, sterilize your pruning clippers, and wear arm protection. Youll start to see roses in the garden center, and you can start getting them into the ground later in the month. All roses will benefit from fertilizer as well. Fertilize your shrubsYour plants are going to start waking up in a month or so, and giving them food is an investment that will pay off. Find slow release fertilizer and spread it around your shrubs. The rain will take care of the rest, slowly releasing nutrients to the plant so it gets precisely what it needs over the next month or two. Divide (some of) your plantsThere are a wealth of plants in your yard that benefit from occasional dividing. Dividing gives plants more space to grow, more ability to absorb nutrients, and allows roots to flourish. They're also two plants for the price of one. Now is the ideal time to dig into those herbaceous perennials and divide those suckers and relocate. To do so, dig up the entire plant, generously going around the root ball. Lift it out of the ground, and then tease apart the roots with your hands or a sharp knife. You want each division to have at least three shoots. Replant them within the day, and give them a drink of water and a little shade for a few days. Now, this isnt for all perennials, but the fall blooming perennials. Asters, astilbe, iris, bee balm, blanket flower, bleeding heart, daylily, phlox, hosta, lambs ear, agapanthus, ornamental grasses, and sedum are some common plants you should look to divide.Resist the urge to clean upThe first week of 50-degree weather sends everyone into their yards, eager to be back outside. While you should embrace the feeling, resist cleaning up the leaves and woody stems you so graciously left in fall. This includes grasses and plants like euphorbia. The beneficial insects that are using the leaves and stems to hibernate arent ready to exit quite yet. Youll want to wait until closer to summer. In the meantime, those leaves and stems are becoming useful mulch and compost. Instead, redirect your energy into tuning up your lawnmower for the spring and hunting down every slug and snail that survived winter.Prune winter blooming plantsRemember, you prune plants after they've bloomed. So while we're leaving our summer blooming plants alone for now, the winter bloomers like winter jasmine and heather can be pruned back once their blossoms drop. Even late summer and fall bloomers like clematis can be pruned back now. On the precipice of seedingWere still too far out for most of the U.S. to seed tomatoes, eggplants, and summer vegetables, but it is right around the corner. You can, however, get a crop of spring vegetables started, including broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, and other short crops. If you can find starts at the garden center, they can go in the ground as soon as the ground is workable. What can definitely go in the ground now are pea seeds, including sweet peas and edible pea pods. What you can seed right now is your earliest annual flowers: petunias, portulaca, sweet alyssum, and trailing nasturtiums, the flowers for hanging baskets and window baskets. You can start ginger and turmeric inside.Mostly, though, you should use this time to get your seed-starting supplies cleaned and sterilized with a mild bleach solution and ensure you have all the seeds you want for the year ahead.
