  • Monster Hunter Wilds Doshaguma is an Ideal Forbidden Lands Introduction
    gamerant.com
Monster Hunter Wilds' unprecedented success is a well-deserved watershed moment for the series that represents a turning point from its place as a formerly niche franchise into one of Capcom's most important and successful IP. Accordingly, the game leans headlong into its opening hours by landing a strong impression, especially where its initial hunts and roster of monsters are concerned. But despite Monster Hunter Wilds' more exciting opening hours and early large monster hunts that drop players into the action faster than previous entries, none of those quests compare to the final portion of the game's first chapter, in which players take on the Alpha Doshaguma.

    gamedev.net
Hi there,I have had this problem for a while now and it's got me very confused. When I make a swap chain and resize its buffers to the same size as a window's new client area (after a change from a WM_SIZE message) everything is fine. However I would like to render at full screen size but at a resolution lower than full screen resolution. Just like when you change the resolution settings in a game but it doesn't shrink the window. I've read a lot of the MSDN and couldn't find an

  • FAA reportedly ordered staff to find millions of dollars to fund Starlink deal
    www.engadget.com
According to Rolling Stone, employees with the Federal Aviation Administration were told on Friday to begin finding tens of millions of dollars for a Starlink deal, after The Washington Postreported that the FAA may cancel its $2.4 billion contract with Verizon to overhaul the USs airspace management systems and go with Elon Musks company instead. Whether the FAA has actually dropped its Verizon deal in favor of Starlink has yet to be confirmed publicly.Anonymous sources told Rolling Stone that the orders from FAA officials on Friday were delivered verbally to staff, in an unusual move. It comes a few days after Musk claimed on X that the situation around air traffic control communications is extremely dire, saying the existing system (which he wrongly attributed to Verizon before later adding a correction) is breaking down very rapidly. He went on to say that Starlink terminals are being sent at NO COST to the taxpayer on an emergency basis to restore air traffic control connectivity.Bloomberg, citing sources close to the matter, previously reported that 4,000 Starlink terminals were being sent to help upgrade the FAAs networks, which the FAA confirmed. In a statement posted on X in response last week, the FAA claimed its been considering the use of Starlink since the prior administration. As recently as Wednesday, though, the FAA said in statements to The Washington Post and other publications that it had not made a decision about its Verizon deal. The agency is one of many that has been hit by layoffs led by Musks DOGE over the last few weeks, with hundreds of FAA employees fired in February. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/transportation/faa-reportedly-ordered-staff-to-find-millions-of-dollars-to-fund-starlink-deal-205236985.html?src=rss

  • This LEGO Scrubs Set Brings Sacred Heart Hospitals Nostalgic Chaos to Brick Life
    www.yankodesign.com
JD would probably narrate this moment with a whimsical monologuesomething about how life is just like a LEGO set: full of tiny pieces, easily broken, and requiring an instruction manual no one actually reads. But heres the thingif *Scrubs* were a LEGO build, it wouldnt be one of those sleek, modern sets with crisp edges and minimalist design. No, it would be a glorious, chaotic, deeply personal mess. A set where the pieces dont always fit perfectly, where someone (probably the Janitor) has hidden a crucial brick, and where every finished section feels like an inside joke between friends. And thats exactly what the *Scrubs Sacred Heart Hospital* LEGO Ideas project deliversa build packed with heart, humor, and a borderline unhealthy amount of JD abuse. The build focuses on two key areas: the hospital lobby, where JD daydreamed his way through life while Dr. Cox delivered brutal reality checks, and the East Wing emergency room entrance, the spot where Turk strutted in like a legend and where Ted likely had more panic attacks than actual medical emergencies. Every detail is carefully considered, from the check-in desk to the floor tiles that JD probably slipped on at least once. The set is designed for both play and display, allowing you to relive some of Scrubs best moments or stage new oneslike giving the Janitor an entire subplot about finally getting his vengeance on JD.Designer: MoniBricksThe minifig selection is an all-star lineup of Sacred Hearts finest. JD, clutching his Dr. Acula manuscript, is there to deliver heartfelt narration (or get tackled by Turk mid-dance). Turk himself, rocking his signature confidence, is ready for yet another victory in Basketball vs. Bambi. Carla, the real boss of the hospital, stands firm, while Elliot, perennially over-caffeinated, peers through the pharmacy window. Dr. Cox, naturally, is mid-eye-roll, holding a medical chart hell likely use to verbally destroy an intern. And then theres Dr. Kelso, ice cream in hand, plotting the next way to make Sacred Heart slightly less livable. However, the real chaos agents are here, too. Ted, everyones favorite anxiety-ridden lawyer, looks seconds away from a breakdown. The Todd, in his flame bandana, is primed for an inappropriate high-five. And then, of course, theres the Janitor, mop in hand, waiting for the right moment to turn JDs day into a waking nightmare. His presence alone ensures this LEGO set is a proper Scrubs tribute.Beyond the minifigs, the details make this build shine. The iconic blue handprints on the wall immortalize Turks prank on the Janitor. The infamous roof toilet is present, ensuring that at least one LEGO figure will suffer an undignified moment up there. And yes, Sashathe tiny, beautiful scooter JD lovedsits faithfully in the set, despite its many misadventures. These arent just references; theyre proof that this build understands what made Scrubs special. It wasnt just about medicine or comedyit was about relationships, ridiculous antics, and moments that hit harder than expected. From a LEGO perspective, the design is spot-on. The hospital lobbys architecture captures that familiar blend of clinical sterility and lived-in warmth. The East Wings glass-paneled emergency doors open up to dramatic arrivals, comedic mishaps, or both at once. The scale feels rightnot too large, but detailed enough to invite storytelling. Whether youre recreating JDs fantasies, a classic Turk-Carla moment, or yet another instance of Dr. Cox obliterating someones self-esteem, this build supports it.What makes this set special isnt just its accuracyits the way it bridges generations of fans. Scrubs devotees will appreciate the inside jokes and character dynamics, while LEGO builders will admire the craftsmanship. Theres a shared joy in seeing something beloved take physical form, in arranging minifigs into scenes that played out in our heads for years. Its the perfect blend of nostalgia and creativitykind of like a Scrubs episode itself. So, whats next? Hopefully, LEGO gives this project the green light. Because if theres one thing we know for certain, its that Sacred Heart deserves a brick-built tribute. And maybe, just maybe, JDs minifig will finally earn Dr. Coxs respect. But lets be realprobably not. If youd like to see this MOC (My Own Creation) hopefully come to life, give it your vote on the LEGO Ideas website! The post This LEGO Scrubs Set Brings Sacred Heart Hospitals Nostalgic Chaos to Brick Life first appeared on Yanko Design.
