Check out how we test and review games hereEver since its launch, the Marvel Rivals community is devising new ways to outwit opponents and get wins, whether its an outright hilarious tactic or a 200 IQ trick in the game. Social media platforms are full of videos, demonstrating how players use their favorite heroes skills in ways developers may not have envisioned.Whether its Jeff the Land Shark swallowing entire teams or insane Doctor Strange portal plays, the games dynamic mechanics fuel a wave of funny strategies that combine skill, humor, and a hint of mischief. As Season 1 introduced new characters such as the Fantastic Four, the fun grows even more as players have discovered a hilarious trick that makes Invisible Woman an absolute troll. While players believed Reed Richards body transformation techniques were hilarious, this surpasses that to another level.Marvel Rivals players use Invisible Womans OP ability to troll enemies in matchesWhile you may not have thought Invisible Woman to be termed as a troll character in Marvel Rivals, other players like Tmal think otherwise. In a recently shared YouTube video, the streamer showcases how they use Invisible Womans ability kit to heal their teammates, while also trolling enemies to their elimination.Invisible Woman can throw enemies off the map. Image by VideoGamer. The trick is quite simple make the enemy walk over to the edge of the map, and where you see is a dead end, use Invisible Womans Psionic Burst ability to push them over. Since plenty of players have pushed players out of the map by using Jeffs ult or Spider-Mans Get Over Here ability, Invisible Womans psychic kit isnt just for clearing the way for your team.Tmal used her Psionic Burst ability over and over in matches like Domination, Convergence, and even Doom Match where it absolutely ruled to eliminate enemies. Players who tried this trick reported on the hilarious results it caused in the comments where one said, Pushing people off the map is so much fun as Invisible Woman. Some players are also using Captain Americas shield and Jeffs bubbles to employ similar tactics to push enemies off the map without having to use an ultimate ability. Regardless, while Invisible Woman has a decent kit and is ranked on A-tier on our meta tier list, her movement abilities are what could be improved to make sure she gets the most out of her reputation as a superhero.Marvel RivalsPlatform(s):macOS, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series XGenre(s):Fighting, ShooterRelated TopicsMarvel Rivals Subscribe to our newsletters!By subscribing, you agree to our Privacy Policy and may receive occasional deal communications; you can unsubscribe anytime.Share

Druiding ItWill the Stardew Valley Baldur's Gate 3 mod let you bone a pixelated bear? Well, its lead dev is "certain" that Halsin's romance arc will "stay true to his character"The Baldur's Village team is approaching its upcoming druid courtship "with care".Image credit: Larian/VG247/The Baldur's Village team News by Mark Warren Senior Staff Writer Published on March 11, 2025 If you're like me, you've spent 90% of your waking hours since you learned that Baldur's Village - the Stardew Valley mod which adds a town full of Baldur's Gate 3 characters to the chill farming game - had come out wondering one thing. How its upcoming Halsin romance might handle the base game's beary bits. Here's an update.Yep, VG247 has reached out to the main developer on the team which has brought Baldur's Village to life and earned a thumbs up from Larian's Swen Vincke in the process, armed with a key question about bear sex and whether the mod will let you shag a big furry boi like BG3 does (or at least reference it in some way).To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Thankfully, modder XunHe1145 was willing to humour us, and provided the following answer:"As for Halsins romance arc, while we havent finalized all the details yet, we can say for certain that Halsin will stay true to his character. Our goal is to balance giving players the elements theyre excited to see while ensuring the storyline fits naturally within Stardew Valleys tone and mechanics."Its something were approaching with care," they added, "and were looking forward to sharing more as development progresses."So, we'll just have to see, but that doesn't sound to me like it totally rules out at least some bear-based shenanigans. As for how long you'll be waiting to see if you can make a grizzly groan in Baldur's Village, this is also up in the air right now, but we do at least know that it's the "next focus" the mod's team has.Until then, you can romance Astarion in the version of the mod that's currently on Nexus Mods. So, maybe treat that like a dress rehearsal for the encounter with Halsin you'll be having in future, provided Baldur's Village gets the support its team is hoping for, and doesn't run into any issues with "piracy, unauthorized reuploads, or reselling of the mod".Do you think a bit of cheeky bear sex would fit with Stardew Valley's vibes? • Celeste Composer Releases "Concept Album" For Studio's Cancelled Follow-Up, Earthblade
    www.nintendolife.com
Earthblade, the next game from Celeste developer Extremely OK Games, was sadly cancelled earlier this year following what studio founder Maddy Thorson described as "a disagreement about the IP rights of Celeste". We only got a very small taste of what this follow-up would offer a Game Awards reveal trailer and the odd blog post but now composer Lena Raine has shared a "concept album" of her work on the project and, expectedly, it sounds beautiful (thanks, Eurogamer).'EARTHBLADE ~ Across the Bounds of Fate' is now available to listen to and buy on Bandcamp. It consists of nine brand new tracks, both "conceptual and implemented", which Raine hopes will tell her own version of the game, and draws inspiration from the likes of Vangelis, Joe Hisaishis work on Nausica of the Valley of the Wind and Yoko Kannos Cowboy Bebop score.Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube798kWatch on YouTube We won't go into every track here, but, in short, if you were a fan of Raine's work on the likes of Celeste, Chicory and Deltarune, this is well worth a listen. Here's how Raine describes the collection in the Bandcamp album description:Across the Bounds of Fate, more so than a soundtrack, is a concept album. The music I wrote for the game is highly dynamic, in the tradition of what I wrote for Celeste. I took it many steps beyond, in ways that temporally-constrained pieces of music cant really do justice. But I did my best to arrange them into the emotional arc of their progression, much like I would for any soundtrack release. While we are never going to get the chance to see Earthblade, the composer hopes to revisit the vibes created for this album on a future project. "For now," Raine concludes the album description, "tuck in and enjoy around 30 minutes of music that paint the picture of what I hoped Earthblade might be".In a blog post announcing Earthblade's cancellation back in January, Thorson confessed that she "feel[s] many ways about it, but one big feeling is undoubtedly relief". According to that post, the team has now gone back to prototyping in an attempt to "rediscover game development" as they did previously with Celeste and TowerFall. • Equator closes $55M fund to bring more private capital to African climate tech
    techcrunch.com
African venture capital firm Equator has raised $55 million for its first fund, which will back climate tech startups through one of the most difficult and often overlooked phases in their journey: the early stage.Climate tech startups in African countries have to navigate a tougher funding landscape than their counterparts in more developed economies, where governments often subsidize companies working on greener technologies. They have to instead rely heavily on development finance institutions (DFIs), foundations, and endowments, making them especially vulnerable to shifts in global capital flows. As aid and development finance budgets shrink, DFIs deploy less capital, which adds to the pressure on African startups. The situation is worse for climate tech companies, which require more capital than traditional tech startups. With its fund, Equator feels it can bridge this gap and back scalable solutions that can attract private capital. We are needed more than ever to invest in technology and scalable ventures tackling fundamental climate challenges, said the firms managing partner, Nijhad Jamal. These investments will help reduce dependence on aid and instead bring more global private capital into the region.Thats a lofty goal to aim for, but like many Africa-focused funds, Equators base of limited partners still is composed of the very institutions it aims to wean startups off. Its backers include DFIs such as British International Investment (BII), Proparco and IFC, as well as foundations and endowments like the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (funded by IKEA, Rockefeller, and Jeff Bezos Earth Fund) and the Shell Foundation. The narrative has shiftedEquator plans to invest the fund in 15 to 18 startups, writing $750,000 to $1 million checks for companies at the Seed stage, and $2 million for those at Series A.Aside from capital, the firm wants to help founders figure out unit economics, governance and regional expansion. The fund wants to also reserve capital for follow-on investments and later-stage rounds, and aims to mobilize its LPs as co-investors to bring in equity, debt, or blended financing. In several of our portfolio companies, were the only Africa-focused investor on the cap table thats the role we see ourselves playing in this ecosystem, Jamal said. Until our most recent investments, we had a 100% success rate in bringing our investors directly into the ventures we backed.Africa accounts for less than 3% of global energy-related CO2 emissions, but bears some of the harshest climate impacts. Equator wants to address that, saying it invests in ventures addressing economic and sustainability challenges emerging from these impacts. When we covered the firm in 2023 after it had reached the first close for this fund, Jamal stressed the importance of backing technical founders building in the energy, agriculture and mobility sectors. At the time, investments in climate tech had surged, making it Africas No. 2 VC sector after fintech. The market has changed since then, however, and investor conversations have evolved alongside those changes. Initially, founders and investors mainly focused on impact; now, Jamal says, the emphasis is shifting to sales climate solutions must deliver clear economic value to customers with purchasing power.Listing examples of such solutions, Jamal pointed to electric vehicles that cost less than fuel-powered ones; climate insurance that accurately covers extreme weather; or AI-powered logistics optimization for businesses. Some of Equators portfolio companies, Roam Electric, Ibisa, and Leta, are building these solutions. The narrative has shifted, Jamal said. Its no longer just about development and impact. Its about mobilizing private capital for scalable ventures that solve problems. The focus today is even more on things like unit economics and the path to profitability, because people know there isnt just [enough] capital to throw at ventures to scale without thinking about monetization, real economics, profitability or exits.A renewed focus on M&AJamal feels climate tech startups today are different from their first-generation cleantech counterparts like Sun King, M-KOPA and d.light, which raised billions and are now looking ready for IPOs.These new startups, he said, operate in a more mature ecosystem, allowing them to use capital and time more efficiently key factors in becoming attractive acquisition targets. Rather than billion-dollar IPOs, Jamal anticipates $100 million exits, saying that can still deliver strong returns for investors. The space is already seeing some consolidation, though most of it is undisclosed. We did see notable M&A, like BBOXXs acquisition of PEG Africa in 2022, and more recently, Equator-backed SteamaCo merged with Shyft Power Solutions last year.As the sector hopes to see more exits, Jamal stressed the importance of capital structuring. Climate tech attracted the most debt financing last year, and he argues startups need the right mix to avoid excessive equity dilution. If equity is used for everything, including working capital, dilution will be too high for investors or founders to see meaningful returns. But as debt and other financial instruments become more available, well start seeing commercial exits, even if theyre more bite-sized, he said.Jamal previously held roles at BlackRock and impact investor Acumen Fund, where he led the clean tech group. He later founded Moja Capital, a personal fund through which he made early-stage investments aligned with Equators current strategy. He runs Equator alongside partner Morgan DeFoort. One of Jamals early bets was SunCulture, a Kenya-based, off-grid solar company backed by the Schmidt Family Foundation, which Equator has since supported. Equator has also invested in other growth-stage startups like SoftBank-backed Apollo Agriculture, and Odyssey Energy Solutions.

  • Schunk Group expands into silicon carbide production with new acquisition
    3dprintingindustry.com
German industrial machinery manufacturing firm Schunk Group has officially acquired raw materials manufacturer ESK-SIC, resulting in an expansion into silicon carbide (SiC) production.Since January 1, 2025, the deal has increased Schunks involvement in the supply and development of SiC raw material. According to the German firm, this move is an effort to enhance Europes supply chain security, as the recycling of silicon carbide is expected to provide a stable and independent source of the material, particularly for the ceramic industry.ESK-SIC is the leading manufacturer of high-quality silicon carbide powder, which Schunk uses in its Business Unit Technical Ceramics as a starting material for 3D printing of high-tech products. This [acquisition] will enable Schunk to pursue new growth opportunities with this high-performance material, which is in high demand in the market, said, Peter R. Manolopoulos, CEO of the Schunk Group.Welcome to the Schunk Group! was the message for the approximately 160 employees of ESK-SIC in Frechen, near Cologne. Photo via Schunk Group.Scaling up silicon carbide recycling for industrial useA key initiative following the acquisition is the establishment of a silicon carbide production facility that will leverage ESK-SICs newly developed recycling process. This method is expected to cut carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional silicon carbide synthesis while maintaining the materials high-performance properties. I am therefore very pleased that ESK-SIC is now part of the Schunk Group and that the new recycling process can thus be implemented on an industrial scale, added Matthias Hausmann, CEO of ESK-SIC.Beyond its environmental impact, the acquisition is also expected to drive development in SiC materials. By combining ESK-SICs expertise in high-quality silicon carbide powders with Schunks capabilities in ceramic production, the companies aim to develop new and improved materials.Schunks leadership has emphasized that the integration is not merely an expansion but an opportunity to enhance the value offered to customers by unlocking new possibilities for the high-tech material.Founded in 1922 and based in Frechen near Cologne since 1952, ESK-SIC expertise lies in silicon carbide powder production and employs approximately 160 people. The company has worked closely with Schunk for years, contributing to developments such as IntrinSiC, the 3D printing of diamond-hard SiC. Now, that alliance has evolved into full integration, positioning both companies to advance their shared technological and industrial goals.Hausmann showing the Schunk visitors the ESK-SIC production. Photo via Schunk Group.3D printing enhances SiC for industrial applicationsAs reported, SiCs role in advanced manufacturing is growing, with companies worldwide exploring new ways to process and apply the material in high-performance industries.Back in 2022, the Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation (USNC) brought in two X-Series binder jet 3D printers from Desktop Metal to improve silicon carbide processing for nuclear fuel applications. Known for its extreme durability and heat resistance, SiC was in use as a key material in USNCs Fully Ceramic Micro-encapsulated (FCM) fuel, designed to power next-generation micro modular reactors (MMRs).Traditional manufacturing methods struggled with its high melting point, but binder jetting allowed for complex, high-precision shaping without the need for extreme temperatures. Consequently, USNC viewed the technology as a way to improve the safety and efficiency of reactor fuel production. With plans to add more printers, the company intended to expand its fuel design capabilities and further develop advanced nuclear energy solutions. In addition, ceramic 3D printing specialist Lithoz partnered with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to explore the potential of 3D printing for non-oxide ceramics, with a focus on SiC. For this project, researchers aimed to refine Lithozs Laser-Induced Slipcasting (LIS) technology to shape high-performance ceramic components more efficiently. The project involved printing, debinding, and sintering SiC to assess its structural integrity and scalability. By enabling more complex geometries and reducing material waste, the technology allowed for expansion for industrial applications of silicon carbide. Testing was expected to provide insights into its feasibility for large-scale manufacturing.What3D printing trendsshould you watch out for in 2025?How is thefuture of 3D printingshaping up?To stay up to date with the latest 3D printing news, dont forget to subscribe to the 3D Printing Industry newsletter or follow us on Twitter, or like our page on Facebook. While youre here, why not subscribe to our Youtube channel? • Creepy humanoid robot moves using 1,000 eerie artificial muscles
    www.foxnews.com
Recommended Published March 11, 2025 6:00am EDT close 'CyberGuy': Creepy humanoid robot moves using 1,000 eerie artificial muscles Tech expert Kurt Knutsson says Clone Robotics Protoclone mimics humans with 1,000 muscles too human for comfort. Clone Robotics, a Polish-American company, has recently unveiled its groundbreaking humanoid robot, Protoclone, sparking both fascination and unease across the internet. This eerily lifelike android represents a significant advancement in biomimetic robotics, closely replicating human anatomy and movement in ways never before seen. With its unsettlingly realistic movements, Protoclone is pushing the boundaries of what we expect from robots, raising both intrigue and questions about the future of robotics.. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)The anatomy of this robotProtoclone stands at an impressive 6 feet tall and boasts a skeleton made of 206 polymer bones, mirroring the human skeletal structure. What truly sets this robot apart is its muscular system, featuring over 1,000 artificial muscles powered byClone Robotics' proprietary "Myofiber" technology. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)The muscle behind the machineThe Myofiber system is a revolutionary approach to robotic movement. Each artificial muscle consists of a mesh tube containing an air-filled balloon. When hydraulic fluid is pumped into the balloon, it expands, causing the mesh to contract, much like a human muscle. This system is powered by a 500-watt electric pump, Protoclone's mechanical "heart," capable of circulating fluid at a rate of 40 liters per minute. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)Sensory sophisticationProtoclone's nervous system is equally impressive, featuring four depth cameras in the skull for vision, 70 inertial sensors for joint position awareness and 320 pressure sensors for force feedback. This advanced sensory network allows the robot to process visual input and learn by observing human activities. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)A glimpse into the future or a sci-fi nightmare? The recent video release of Protoclone in action has garnered millions of views and sparked intense online debate. In the footage, the faceless android is seen suspended from the ceiling, its limbs twitching and moving in an unsettlingly human-like manner. While some viewers have expressed awe at the technological achievement, others have reacted with discomfort or even hostility. Comments range from comparisons to "sleep paralysis demons" to references to dystopian science fiction scenarios. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)The road aheadDespite its impressive capabilities, Protoclone is still in early development. Currently, it requires suspension for stability and lacks the ability to stand or balance independently. Clone Robotics plans to launch production with 279 units, named "Clone Alpha," with pre-orders opening in late 2025. Protoclone (Clone Robotics) (Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson)Kurts key takeawaysWhile Protoclone's current iteration may be more unsettling than practical, it's clear that we're on the cusp of a new era in robotics. As these technologies continue to advance, we'll likely see more refined and capable humanoid robots entering our homes and workplaces. The question remains: Are we ready for this future, and how will it reshape our relationship with technology?Does the appearance and movement of Protoclone fascinate or unsettle you? • AI is ruining Pinterest. Here's why it's such a big problem
    www.zdnet.com
Beata Zawrzel/NurPhoto via Getty ImagesFor years, Pinterest has been dubbed the go-to social media site for seeing inspirational mood boards, tracking lifestyle, fashion, and beauty trends, and finding niche and popular consumer-based products. However, the site has recently been plagued with an onslaught of AI slop, making it difficult for users to decipher what's real, human-made content, or fake.Pinterest users have taken to Reddit to vent about the app's changing landscape since the AI influx. Some users have even called the issue "The Enshittification of Pinterest."Also: This new AI benchmark measures how much models lieA common complaint is that AI-generated pins are now dominating people's feeds. One Reddit post explains that the app is becoming unusable because "it feels like Pinterest prioritizes automation and AI over user experience, which limits creativity and real inspiration."Another Reddit user detailed how they're "bombarded" with ads when they open the app. Onecommentreads: "I stopped using Pinterest because 80% of the results are AI-generated images," in response to an active thread speaking out against AI slop on the platform. Also: AI scams have infiltrated the knitting and crochet world - why it matters for everyoneBecause AI has infiltrated popular Pinterest categories, much of the slop often links to AI-powered content-farming sites that pose as DIY blogs, blending the AI-generated imagery with the site's human-made content. This use of AI slop results in SEO spammers profiting off the display ads attached to these content-farming pages.AI inspo or AI slop? The abundance of AI slop on Pinterest and other social media platforms, full of "inspo" or aspirational content, also hurts small businesses.According to the Washington Post, AI inspo refers to AI-generated photos that "customers find [and] reflect unattainable standards or incorporate impossible details, making it hard for real-world businesses to meet client's demands." Also:OpenAI's o1 lies more than any major AI model. Why that mattersSmall business owners have noticed an increase in situations where they have to explain to their clients how to spot AI-generated imagery and why it's not a realistic inspiration, especially for events such as weddings, hairstyles, and even plastic surgery. Washington PostHowever, according to a Pinterest spokesperson: "Impressions on generative AI content make up a small percentage of the total impressions on Pinterest. As people continue experimenting with generative AI content, we are working to provide users with more control and context over the content they see on Pinterest. Pinterest will continue intentionally leveraging AI, such as our inclusive AI features, to enhance the experience for our users and creators." How to spot AI slop on Pinterest The top results for most of the searches I attempted were rife with AI-generated pins, spanning from "nail art" to "cozy loft apartment interior design" and specific hairstyles ranging from "braided hairstyles" to "pixie cut styles for black women". Take a search for "braided hairstyles for black women" which, when compared to other hairstyle searches, is not flooded with AI-generated images. Still, after scrolling through the first couple of rows, I came across an AI-generated hairstyle that is not only hard to replicate in real life but is also linked to an AI-generated blog explicitly tailored for black women's hairstyles: Pinterest/ZDNETI tried this tactic again for the more common search, "comfort dinner recipes", and was immediately bombarded with AI-generated posts linked to spammy blog sites. All the pinned recipes in the first row, except one, were AI-generated. The recipes also seemed to have been created by fake food bloggers with AI-generated profiles. For example, the first recipe, "Marry me chicken pasta", has about 2,000 likes and 500 comments. However, the so-called food blogger behind the post, "Emilia", has no last name, and her profile pic is AI-generated.Like other fake food blogs, the person running the site claims to be a "busy mom" interested in "family-friendly" quick-to-make meals but advises site viewers that some recipes may be tagged with affiliate links -- usually Amazon. Screenshot by Matene Toure/ZDNETThis approach was common amongst food-related searches, such as "easy breakfast ideas", where the top pins are generally AI-generated images of popular food dishes linked to fake blog websites run by generic mononyms. How to avoid AI slop on PinterestTo avoid AI slop, I recommend being as specific as possible in popular searches. For food content, I found that searches such as "low-calorie meals" or "high-protein vegan recipes for breakfast" had fewer AI-generated pins. Even though most pins are linked to blogs, they appeared to be free of AI-generated profiles and run by actual people. Also:Will synthetic data derail generative AI's momentum or be the breakthrough we need?Atemporary fixfor blocking AI images posted on Reddit details that if you use Firefox, you can get the extension uBlock Origin. Within that extension, there's the option to blacklist certain IPs. There's a handy list of blocked IPs that you can use, and it works like a charm. This is the script. You can put this script into uBlacklist which essentially does the same thing. However, the platform's abundant amount of AI slop spans numerous topics and searches, and it's hard to navigate that mess as a user looking for human-made content, especially for more instructional DIY pins, such as recipes or home decor projects. For instance, when I searched "studio apartment layout ideas", the results appeared clear of AI slop. Yet after a closer look, I noticed that the top pins used pictures of actual studio apartments to entice users to click. Then, these pins redirected me to AI-generated blogs with listicles of AI-generated images of apartments with little to no instructional advice about layout design. I noticed that the images were AI-generated because they had an unnatural sheen. Upon looking closely, objects in the photos, such as plants or books, looked fake. And the books also never had titles on them. It's important to note that many of these content-farming pages that use AI images and text are run by SEO spammers who use various AI models to generate dozens of fake articles on an AI-generated site under counterfeit names that they then pin to Pinterest for click-based revenue. Pinterest's recent AI pivot Currently, Pinterest isexperimentingwith labelingGen AI-enhanced content. The social media site also recently introduced Pinterest Performance+, a suite ofad-focused AI toolsfor marketers who want to create product ads using Gen AI.In addition, Pinterest added a new clauseto the company's website outlining how Pinterest will employ its users' "information to train, develop and improve our technology such as our machine learning models, regardless of when Pins were posted."This approach would include, for example, Pinterest's body type technology, "which is trained on images in Pins posted to our Services."Also:Most AI voice cloning tools aren't safe from scammers, Consumer Reports findsThe company suggests its goal is to "improve the products and services of our family of companies and offer new features". In the past, Pinterest expressed similar sentiments when announcing it would use personal data to train Pinterest Canvas, the platform's Gen AI model. However, there is an opt-out button for AI training, and the company also says it doesn't train its models on data from minor users. To opt out, users must visit the Privacy and Data Settings, which you can access on your profile page. Under the Gen AI section, switch off the button for "use data to train Pinterest Canvas". I would also recommend opting out of targeted advertising activities, such as "Use info from sites you visit" and "Ads off Pinterest".Yet asPinterest continues to move into the e-commerce spaceand away from the aspirational content the platform was built on, AI slop is likely to be a recurring issue.Artificial Intelligence Editorial standards

  • Googles New Security UpdateChrome Users Must Do 1 Thing Now
    www.forbes.com
Update Google Chrome now.LightRocket via Getty ImagesAs threat actors continue to target Google users with a blitz of attacks ranging from AI-powered scams, backdoor malware, and zero-day Android smartphone hacks, its more critical than ever to take heed of warnings when security issues in Google products and services are discovered. Take the case of the Chrome web browser which, according to Google itself, has been found susceptible to five new security vulnerabilities. While Google has issued a security update for Chrome users across the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, with Android no doubt soon to follow, simply sitting back and waiting for this to roll out is not advised. But even if you take action to kickstart the update process right now, you still wont be protected from attack unless you do one extremely important thing. Heres what you need to know and do.Chrome Security UpdateFive New Vulnerabilities ConfirmedA new security update for users of the Chrome web browser across desktop platforms has been confirmed by Google, with fixes for three high-severity and two medium-severity Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures included. Although full access to technical details relating to these bugs have not been released, nor will they be until a majority of users have had time to apply the security patch being rolled by Google across the coming days and weeks, heres what we do know about the CVEs in question.High-severity security vulnerabilities:CVE-2025-1920 and CVE-2025-2135 are both type confusion issues in the Chrome V8 Javascript rendering engine, while a third that is awaiting a CVE designation is an out of bounds memory write issue with the Chrome GPU.Medium-severity security vulnerabilities:CVE-2025-2136 is a use after free memory issues in Chromes inspector component and CVE-2025-2137 an out of bounds memory read issue in V8.Do This One Thing Or Your Chrome Browser Security Update Wont Protect YouObviously you need to ensure that you update your Chrome browser to the latest, secure, version. In the case of Windows and Mac platforms that means version 134.0.6998.88/.89, while for Linux users it is 134.0.6998.88. Although an automatic update will reach you eventually, it is always advised to kickstart the process yourself to get protected from any potential attacks as soon as possible. Simply heading for the About option in your Chrome browser settings to check for, and start, the update process is not, however, the one critical thing you need to ensure you do to stay safe. Rather, what Im referring to here is hitting the relaunch button once the download and install have completed. This is required in order to enable the update and get that protection working for you. You know what to do.Hit the relaunch button or you won't be protected from attacks.Google
