GTA 6 map in GTA 5 taken down for potentially spoiling the gameMichael BeckwithPublished March 25, 2025 1:30pmUpdated March 25, 2025 1:30pm No one should be surprised by this (Rockstar Games)Following a copyright strike on their YouTube channel, a GTA modder has decided to take down their recreation of GTA 6s leaked map.You sometimes have to wonder why GTA modders even bother, given that series publisher Take-Two has a track record for forcibly removing mods, especially any that gain too high a profile.Despite drafting an agreement to allow for non-commercial single-player mods in 2017, Take-Two soon updated it to give itself leeway to basically do whatever it wants, resulting in a number of long-running mods, that had been following the rules, being taken down in 2021.As such, it should come as no surprise that a recent effort to recreate GTA 6s map in GTA 5 hasnt been approved by Take-Two, with the creator annoucing hes had to remove the mod.YouTuber Dark Space initially shared their recreation of the GTA 6 map in December, to demonstrate how much larger it will be compared to GTA 5.Last week, however, he made the map playable, allowing GTA 5 players to import it into the PC version of the game and drive around it. If youre wondering how Dark Space could recreate a map for an unreleased game, enough details had already leaked out about it as part of the infamous hacking incident. While Take-Two only had the YouTube video demonstrating the mod taken down, Dark Space has opted to remove all download links to the mod as well.In a follow-up video explaining all this, Dark Space argues that mods such as his are doing more to drum up hype for GTA 6 than Rockstar and Take-Two are. At the time of writing, there has only been one official trailer for the game and that was in December 2023.That said, Dark Space is more annoyed that Take-Two simply didnt ask him to remove the video, since he wouldve been happy to do so.Speaking with IGN, Dark Space says he fully expected Take-Two would come knocking once his mod became available, since the recreated map is probably a little too accurate.More TrendingI think my map could have ruined the surprise of their map, which I get. If you spent years building out this amazing game world just to have some YouTuber spoil the experience of the maps shape, size, and vibe Id want it removed too, he continues.Dark Space has also decided to no longer work on his GTA 6 mod since Theres no point putting more time into something that goes directly against what [Take-Two is] willing to allow. It seems likely that Take-Twos relationship with the modding community will remain fraught for the foreseeable future. It has been claimed that the company is looking to bring user generated content to GTA 6, la Roblox, which would encourage modding, but any such content would obviously be made on Rockstar and Take-Twos terms. Should Dark Space be flattered that his map mod was too good of a recreation? • Steel Hunters early access hands-on preview hero shooter in disguise
    metro.co.uk
Steel Hunters we love giant robots (Wargaming)GameCentral gets to play Steel Hunters, another new live service game focusing on giant robots, but this time from the publisher of World Of Tanks. If we had a pound for every time a free-to-play, multiplayer game with giant robots got announced wed have two pounds, which isnt a lot but its weird that it happened twice in such quick succession. However, since giant robots are one of our favourite things, outside of video games, were certainly not complaining, especially as both Mecha Break and Steel Hunters seem to be very good.We first saw Mecha Break at Gamescom last year and, as robot fans, its very obvious, in terms of both gameplay and visuals, that its made in Asia, with a Chinese developer and a lot of Japanese mech designers. Its beta has been a huge success so far and we enjoyed it a lot when we got an extended playtest with it last month. At the same time, its equally obvious that Steel Hunters is a Western made game, again in terms of both its gameplay and its robot designs. Its the new title from World Of Tanks maker Wargaming and the fact that it is so different to Mecha Break is definitely a positive. Especially as, while it borrows a lot from hero shooters like Overwatch, its also quite distinctive in that regard too.Steel Hunters is essentially a third person hero shooter. The robots youre controlling are inhabited by the digitised minds of former humans, in a post-apocalyptic world. So theyre sentient creatures, like Transformers, and not piloted machines, like Gundam. Were not sure we were particularly taken by the various wisecracks, and attempts to give them recognisable personalities, but there was nothing too obnoxious. There is a backstory to everything but as a multiplayer-only game it doesnt seem terribly important. What is, is the fact that the game currently only has one main mode, which is a blend of battle royale and extraction, although not really that similar to either. You play in duos, with a single computer or human controlled ally, against up to five other teams.Your goal is a little nebulous but youre all trying to collect an alien resource called Starfall, while also knocking out the other teams. As long as theres one person left in a duo they can bring the other back, but if theyre both downed within the same window then theyre out of the match. In the last few minutes of a round everyone left standing has to go to a single extraction point, to try and nab extra Starfall, as the map shrinks in the style of a battle royale. We say the goals are nebulous because we never spent much time trying to pick up Starfall and we dont think anyone else did either, because its much more fun to just fight with the other teams. Which wed say was a good sign.Theres lots of computer-controlled drones (literally, theyre very boringly designed machines hovering above the ground) wandering about the very large maps but while theyre not much fun to fight they are good target practice and drop useful loot. You want to get as much loot as quickly as possible, to try and level up and gain useful buffs before going after human players the defeat of which provides even more loot, as do crates dropped from space. One of the first questions we had about the game is why isnt it just called World Of Robots or World Of Mechs, or some such. We suspect the primary reason is that the audience for other World Of games skews considerably older than most other live service games, and so Wargaming are gunning for a younger audience with this, but creative director Sergey Titarenko offered some other reasons:The thing is, World Of comes with a legacy and expectations and its not necessarily the World Of game we wanted to make. We wanted the opposite, as although its very much rooted in the legacy of tanks and ships we wanted to drift away from being a vehicle shooter game.We decided that we dont want to build a game about mechs, per se. For various reasons, for visual identification the traditional mech genre is building a line of very lookalike characters, where it is hard to know what to expect from your enemy. So we went for very simple visual archetypes. Humanoid characters like Razorside barely look like robots (Wargaming)The question of whether to make the robots pilotable mechs or sentient creatures has been a core part of the design process and has clearly influenced a lot beyond just the visuals. We wanted an emotional connection, because we are trying to make a hero shooter we want players to care more about what they play, says Titarenko. So what you see on screen is what you play as, not someone sitting inside a mechanical creature. So early on we rebooted our visual and art direction, and we started to make something that looked more like Transformers. These are almost human beings. They are now steel and metal, but they have a soul and a personality, each of them and a bio and a back story.Visually we explored a lot, in our team we have lots of different personalities and preferences. There was a clash, a creative fight: should we lean towards more Asian and Japanese designs? But we thought we would be repeating existing designs so much that we wanted to create something that stands out more and appeals more to a Western audience. The obvious starter robot is Razorside, who is your typical all-rounder and the equivalent of someone like Soldier: 76 from Overwatch. He looks like Doomguy in giant robot form and his specials are very straightforward things like grenades, but that means you can instantly get into the action whether you have any special affinity for giant robots or not.One reason robot games arent more common is that a lot of the time they tend to be portrayed as slow and lumbering, despite that not being how they are in the majority of anime. That approach is more common in Western media but what impresses about Steel Hunters is that theyre all fast and manoeuvrable but still have an impressive sense of size and weight.Giant robot games, even something as renowned as Armored Core 6, are very bad at emphasising a sense of scale, but despite some mediocre robot designs Steel Hunters manages it very well. The three maps so far are all open ground, with a few villages and industrial areas, but you can smash through any building with minimal trouble. Although trying to use them for cover is probably the better idea. There are seven robots, referred to as Hunters, at launch, four humanoid ones and three based on animals. The human ones are where the similarities to Overwatch became a little too obvious, with a sniperbot called Heartbreaker, whos also female and just looks like Widowmaker wearing robotic armour.Prophet, who we didnt play as but whose main gimmick is a deployable drone, is even wearing a coat, for some reason. Trenchwalker, the healer, looks a bit more robotic, but only in comparison, in what are disappointingly bland designs that we hope can be improved upon with new skins. The animal robots are more interesting though and while the Zoids influence is subtle you can see it. After getting to grips with the games basics with Razorside we then tried out Ursus the bear-like Hunter, who has a rage mode that activates heat-seeking missiles. We thought they might be a bit slow and lumbering but at the moment all the Hunters move at the same speed (and have the same strength melee), although some have buffs that can modify that further. That seems a bit odd, and the developers indicated it could change in time, but as it is we found a team-up between Ursus up close and Heartbreaker at long range worked very well and after a few failed matches we started to consistently win, which was very gratifying. Most of our matches devolved into deathmatches, which we were perfectly fine with (Wargaming)We particularly liked the purposefully slow time to kill for all the Hunters, which also helps to emphasise the fact that theyre a honking great robot. You can take quite a bit of damage before keeling over and if youre sensible enough to retreat and bring back your shields you can end up lasting quite some time, even against experienced competition (although we assume the devs and testers we were playing against were pulling their punches most of the time). In terms of gameplay our only real complaint is that the melee action is very poor. You have to be standing right next to an enemy to make contact and the long slowdown between punches feels very artificial and frustrating. The developers already acknowledge this though and were sure changes will be made fairly quickly. Our other concern was that after a few hours wed already started to get the hang of things and began to worry exactly how much depth there is to the game. Each Hunter only has a few different abilities and the unlockable skill trees are all just stat changes, which isnt terribly exciting. Its not like Overwatch or other hero shooters have a lot more character mechanics, but they do tend to be more distinctive. Although we also played a bit with Weaver, who is a spider-like bot and has a deployable energy shield, which is very versatile from a tactical perspective. The best and simplest test for any kind of hands-on is whether youre upset when it ends and we were very loath to stop playing, especially before wed had a proper go with all the other Hunters (Fenris the wolf wouldve been our next one).Releasing any new live service game is definitely a risk at the moment, as Sony will certainly tell you, but publishing director Dan Tanasescu seems sensibly pragmatic about the situation. Our approach is to really listen to the players. We shouldnt think we know better than the players. No, the players know what they want. In the end we dont make this game for ourselves, we make it for the players, he says.2024 was crazy for the games industry. Over the entire library of Steam, 20% of it was launched in 2024. But only 14% of the Steam userbase played new games, the rest just played old games. [Actually, its even less than that GC]Players want something that is very well established and which gets frequent updates, so thats what we want to give them. By the time we are at version 1.0 we want players to think, This is the game I actually wanted to play, and I will stick to it. Obviously, we want to be successful but we also want to be realistic in terms of the level success. We suggest that, despite what some publishers seem to think, its fine to just be second, which Tanasescu readily agrees to. Exactly! Its completely fine if we dont have 70 million players daily, we know this.Steel Hunters wont have any monetisation when it enters early access on Wednesday, April 2 (yes, the same day as the Switch 2 reveal) so at launch it will be literally free-to-play, even if microtransactions will slowly be added over time. Weaver has a shield and a minigun you have to power up (Wargaming)Monetisation is definitely changing, says Tanasescu. Players are definitely very smart, they always have been. But also, were not aiming for a teenage audience, but a bit older. They will always think where they are spending their money. If they enjoy something then definitely they will spend their money, but if they dont like it they will not.More TrendingSteel Hunters is different, even compared to other hero shooters, and the developers seem to have much more realistic expectations for it than many other companies. Their focus on a constant stream of new content and listening to the needs of players also seems very sensible, but as they themselves admit their game, like any other multiplayer title, is still a risk. The initial reaction seems positive though and we certainly enjoyed our time with it, which hopefully means that therell be two super successful giant robot games by the end of the year. Then maybe that will encourage the mechanised video game renaissance weve always dreamed of.Formats: PC (previewed), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5Price: Free-to-playPublisher: WargamingDeveloper: WargamingRelease Date: 2nd April 2025 (consoles in 2026)Age Rating: 12 Widowmakers robot sister (Wargaming)Emailgamecentral@metro.co.uk, leave a comment below, follow us on Twitter, andsign-up to our newsletter. To submit Inbox letters and Readers Features more easily, without the need to send an email, just use ourSubmit Stuff page here. For more stories like this, check our Gaming page.GameCentralSign up for exclusive analysis, latest releases, and bonus community content. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. • New Therapy Offers Promising Solution to Childhood Peanut Allergies
    www.discovermagazine.com
Peanuts are known to cause one of the most severe reactions in children with food allergies. Current estimates show between 2 percent and 5 percent of school-age children in the U.S. have a peanut allergy, while food allergies among children have been shown to increase for decades. Now, a promising new treatment that gradually introduces some children to store-bought peanut butter in a controlled medical setting could help treat peanut allergies, according to a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine Evidence.Children with high-threshold peanut allergy couldnt participate in previous food allergy treatment trials, leaving them without opportunities to explore treatment options, said Jeanne Marrazzo, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director in a press release. [The] report focuses on this population and shows that a very safe and accessible form of therapy could be liberating for many of these children and their families.Childhood Peanut AllergiesA food allergy is caused by a persons immune system thinking that an allergen, typically a food protein, is a threat and attacks it, resulting in an allergic reaction. Among the most severe of food allergies are those involving peanuts, many of which can cause anaphylactic shock, possibly leading to hospitalization or even death. Food allergy prevalence among children has been increasing for decades, up by 50 percent between 1997 and 2011, and again up by 50 percent between 2007 and 2021, wrote the nonprofit research and advocacy group Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE). In the United States, the prevalence of self-reported peanut or tree nut allergy in children more than tripled between 1997 and 2008. Peanuts are one of eight allergens the government requires to have specific labeling requirements under the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004. Under the law, packaged food manufacturers are required to label products that contain peanut as an ingredient. Peanut and other food allergies are described as a considerable burden to children and families worldwide, not only for their potential health risks, but for the mental and emotional stress allergies create. A meta-analysis of existing scientific literature presented in February 2025 found that oral immunotherapy can improve the quality of life of children and families experiencing food allergies. Because of the prevalence of peanut allergies in the U.S. and the strong reactions that some people have to peanuts including anaphylaxis oral immunotherapy is a major area of focus, says Justin Cole, director of Ohio's Cedarville University Center for Pharmacy Innovation, who was not involved in the study. Read More: Everything to Know About AllergiesOral Immunotherapy for Peanut Allergies Oral immunotherapy is a treatment for food allergies that the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology described as feeding the allergic person an increasing amount of an allergen with the goal of increasing the threshold that triggers a reaction. To test this therapy in children with peanut allergies, medical researchers at Mount Sinai Kravis Childrens Hospital in New York gradually exposed children with high-threshold or a less severe peanut allergy, meaning they could tolerate at least a half-peanut. After 18 months of gradual exposure, every child in the study could eat up to three tablespoons of peanut butter without having an allergic reaction. The researchers highlight that this treatment is not suitable for the 800,000 U.S. children who have a high-threshold or severe allergy to peanuts they should continue to avoid peanuts entirely. Researchers split 73 participating children between four and 14 years old into two groups, one that would receive gradually increased doses of peanut butter and another that would avoid peanuts entirely. Children in the exposure group began with an eighth teaspoon of peanut butter daily, increasing the serving size every eight weeks. Dose increases were done under medical supervision and should not be replicated in at-home treatments without a professional. Every child exposed to peanut butter could tolerate about three tablespoons after 18 months of controlled exposure, according to the recent study. Accessible Treatment OptionThe study offers the potential for a relatively inexpensive and accessible treatment for children with high-threshold allergies, but the therapy should not be recreated at home, experts warn. Not every peanut butter is created alike, and there may be different amounts of peanut protein in a tablespoon of peanut butter. "We cant assume that someone can go buy any peanut butter off the shelf and give it to their child, says Cole, highlighting that every single dose increase was done in an office with the research team so that the child could be evaluated for potential reactions. The study was small with just 73 participants, and the follow-up period to determine long-term tolerance was not long. It wasn't a huge number of patients, but the difference in the outcomes between the two groups was really quite striking, showing that it seemed like the majority of the patients who did get exposed, were able to get to a point where they were able to tolerate it, whereas the patients who avoided it for several weeks, when they reintroduced it, they immediately again had another reaction, says John Ligon, a pediatrician at the University of Floridas Division of Hematology and Oncology who was not involved in the study. Not a Standard for CareAround 60 percent of children had a durable response, meaning that they did not have an allergic reaction when exposed to peanuts later. However, that still means that about 40 percent did have some reaction. Its also unclear to what extent children had maintenance dosing, which would continue exposure to peanut allergens. What we know about peanut oral immunotherapy, which again is fairly new, is that it typically requires ongoing maintenance dosing to sustain its benefits. If the therapy is stopped, its possible that the desensitization effects that theyve gained can gradually wear off, and the individual may become sensitive to peanuts again, says Cole. Beyond increasing tolerance to certain allergens, oral immunotherapy presents an opportunity to reduce anxiety for families because they dont have to worry about accidental exposure possibly causing a severe reaction, adds Cole. It's a huge mental burden for the parents with kids with serious food allergies, where they really can't just go shopping for the things that they want to cook; they really have to spend time reading those food labels, and it just adds a huge mental toll, says Ligon. But even though oral immunotherapy is gaining traction as a potential treatment for food allergies, Cole says it is not yet considered a standard of care. For families curious about oral immunotherapies, Ligon recommends reaching out to an allergist who can facilitate allergen introduction in a controlled environment. • The symphonic sounds of the McLaren 750S are a feat of engineering
    www.popsci.com
When testing out a McLaren supercar out in the wild, expect attention. Lots of it. People ask what you do for a living, middle school students stop in their tracks to stare and take video, and fellow motorists wave on the highway. The British companys latest achievement is the 750S, and its not only a piece of artwork on wheels in either the coupe or open-top body style, its a mechanical beast that zooms from zero to 60 in a blistering 2.3 seconds. The 750S is rear-wheel drive and equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, situated longitudinally behind the seats and topping out at 206 mph. Its a sleek car that begs for a joyridewithin reason, of course, because no one wants attention in the form of a speeding ticket. And the spider version (in convertible form) is especially gratifying. All the better to hear the snarl, bark, and howl of all eight cylinders. The 750S is rear-wheel drive and equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of reaching 60 mph in 2.3 seconds. Images: Kristin Shaw / Popular ScienceA symphony of engine and exhaust sounds in the 750SAt the helm of the 750Ss impressive mechanical prowess is Sandy Holford, a 16-year McLaren veteran. As the chief engineer, his job is to bring together all the different experts at McLaren to get the best overall mix, or recipe, he says. Along with that mix is a distinct soundtrack, a specific roar that only McLaren can make.Every car has a voice and the McLarens is a crisp mid-level growl that sounds to my untrained ear as though its not quite as low as a Lamborghini and not as high as the clipped staccato notes of a Pagani. Once you learn the notes of the McLaren symphony, its unmistakable. We dont focus on just exterior sounds; we review and score the exterior and interior sounds separately, he says. You want the car to sound fantastic when it goes past, but as a driver, you also want it to sound fantastic when youre inside the cabin. Both are equally important to us.The engineers dont target a specific decibel range for the 750S. Instead, they focus on acoustic quality, linearity, and crescendo. As the driver engages the accelerator, the sound builds like an orchestra pit in a powerful section of music, boosting engagement and connection to the car. Part of the sound comes from powertrain development, and McLaren did deliver increased performance with the 750S, but Holford states the primary goal for the vehicle overall was driver engagement. That building crescendo is a direct response proportionally to your foot on the pedal, bringing that cognitive connection with the vehicle, he says. We tuned it acoustically to give the 750S a sharp and distinctive, clear tone. The noise, vibration, and harshness engineers in Holfords department would explain they reduced the second and sixth order sounds and allowed the fourth order acoustics to dominate, then pushed the eighth order sound to get that higher crescendo at higher engine speeds. In non-engineering terms, they balanced specific sound frequencies to achieve a big, clear sound, rather than just big volume that doesnt necessarily represent the quality of the car. Picture a cheap stereo setup with a giant woofer, for instance. It can belt out the sound but its going to be a different kind of noise than if the same song was played on a high-end audio system. When I left the house in the morning to take my son to baseball practice at 6:30 am, I wasnt so sure how the neighbors felt about that crescendo. But to me, its literally music to my ears. The building crescendo of sound is a direct response proportionally to the acceleration.Image: McLaren More combustion, more pressure, more layers, more powerThe 750S emits thrilling pops and crackles to accompany the music, like a drumbeat. Thats the combustion of fuel at play, entering the exhaust manifold and coming down the full exhaust system, Holford explained to me. Importantly, when in track mode thats a whole different story. Its a combination of ignition timing versus fuel injection, so you end up with a little bit of excess fuel that then combusts as it heats through the engine cycle, he says. When you get to track mode, you dont want any excess fuel. You want every single piece to have been used optimally for that performance element. The secret to the 750Ss insane acceleration is decreased vehicle weight and the additional power squeezed from the same engine used in the supercars predecessor, the 720S. Key factors are a combination of revised internal components and bespoke calibration, Holford says. That includes increased turbocharged booster pressure working together with twin fuel pumps that deliver more fuel and air. As a result, the 750S can combust more with greater power.McLaren also upgraded from a dual layer to a triple layer head gasket to cope with that additional combustion within the engine. When there is more pressure in the cylinder, because we have more fuel and more air, it needs more compression and more resistance to keep that pressure within the cylinder, Holford says. We have to go for a more robust ceiling interface from a dual layer to a triple layer to manage it.All in, the 750S is a poster car, the kind of vehicle thats often affixed to walls around the world as inspiration.Thats the thing for me, when I see kids with their Hot Wheels McLaren car, or their [McLaren] T-shirt or whatever else, thats just fantastic, Holford says. Because it shows what weve done and how people are really appreciating and enjoying the products we make.

  • Keep an eye on Yellowstones steamy new hydrothermal vent

Looking south from near a pullout along the Mammoth to Norris road just north of the Nymph Lake overlook. On the other side of the marsh is a tree-covered rhyolite lava flow, and at the base of the flow is a new thermal feature marked by a plume of steam that formed in early August 2024. Photo by Mike Poland, USGS, September 1, 2024.If you are planning on driving in Yellowstone National Park when most of its roads open in April, you could drive by one of the latest thermal steam vents in the famed hotspot. The new hydrothermal feature is about one mile north of the Norris Geyser Basin within a region called the Roadside Springs thermal area.According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Roadside Springs thermal area is a collection of distinct areas of altered rock and hydrothermal features. The new steam vent is at the foot of a rhyolite lava flow almost 10 feet above the marshland below and is part of an area of warm, hydrothermally altered ground roughly 200 feet long. July saw a hydrothermal explosion at Biscuit Basin and a similar explosion was recorded in Norris Geyser Basin for the first time. While driving south from Mammoth Hot Springs towards Norris Geyser Basin early on August 5 last summer, a park scientist noticed a billowing steam column through the trees and across a marshy expanse, scientists from the USGSs Yellowstone Volcano Observatory wrote in a recent blog post. The eagle-eyed scientist notified the park geology team to verify if this was indeed new activity.Geologists then trudged through the marsh to get a closer look at the balmy 171 degrees Fahrenheit hydrothermal feature. By a thin layer of gray silica clay, they could tell that this steam vent is rather young.Looking southeast at the hydrothermal feature that formed in August 2024 just north of Nymph Lake. Steam is emanating from a vent that is partially full of water to create the frying pan feature nestled in the newly formed vent. A thin grey layer of silica mud covers the vent area. That there would be a new feature is, you know, mundane, park scientist Mark Polland told the Associated Press. The noteworthy part was just that it was so noticeable. But the sort of overall idea that there would be a new feature that formed is pretty normal. The team believes that it is the latest formation in a hotspot located only a short distance away that bubbled up over 20 years ago. A similar type of hydrothermal activity was observed on the other side of this same lava flow on March 10, 2003. The activity there has continued over the years, but is less energetic than when it first formed. This new steam vent remained active into the fall of 2024 and the strong steam plume was particularly visible during chilly mornings. An aerial view looking to the west at the Roadside Springs hydrothermal area and Nymph Lake showing the locations of thermal features that formed in 2003 and 2024. The feature remains active, but there is some water in the vent, decreasing the amount of steam that is released, the USGS said. Whether or not the strong plume returns in the summer of 2025 remains to be seen.Yellowstone National Park geologists have mapped more than 100 major hydrothermal areas in and estimate that there are over 10,000 additional hydrothermal features within its boundaries.

But there may be hope for mitigating some of that damage. Mice with cells engineered to produce a protective protein unique to tardigrades experienced reduced radiation damage, researchers report February 26 in Nature Biomedical Engineering.Radiation attacks the DNA of tumor cells, preventing tumor growth and eventually killing it. But it also damages the DNA of healthy tissue near the tumors, destroying those cells, too. People undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer can develop damaged throats or mouths, making eating and drinking extremely painful. Prostate cancer patients may experience rectal bleeding.
