Since there are more complications involved than previously anticipated, it is likely that these solid-state buttons will not make their way to the iPhone 17 series. Theoretically, such buttons should be more reliable than their physical counterparts, but on Weibo, Setsuna Digital mentions that Apple is still overcoming this challenge.In his post, the tipster writes that the California-based giant is adjusting the design of the solid-state buttons to function reliably after long-term use. He also mentions the problem of false touches and that the responsiveness of these buttons is not guaranteed. Even if Apple has not been successful in bringing this change to its iPhones, it has met in the middle by introducing Camera Control on the iPhone 16.
