Developer Triband has revealed that its next game, What The Clash?, is launching exclusively for Apple Arcade on May 1. The developer is best known for its previous games such as What the Golf? and What the Car?What the Clash? is a PvP game where players face off against each other in minigames and other playful activities. Some of these activities include Table Tennis, Archery, and Racing. Modifier cards can be unlocked to create some wacky combinations like Toasty Archery and Sticky Tennis. The game utilizes touch controls and everyone plays as The Hand, which is a stretchy hand with legs that players can customize and dress up. What the Clash? can be played in both solo mode or with other people in one-on-one battles. Season 2, the second major content update for Marvel Rivals, is based on the Hellfire Gala, a red carpet event from the X-Men series. Season 2 will add two new characters to the game: Emma Frost, a vanguard, and Ultron, whose class type hasn’t been revealed yet. There’s also the new Krakoa map. As with season 1, season 2 will be split into two halves. Emma Frost and the Krakoa map will come with the launch and Ultron coming in the mid-season patch. There is also the new Hellfire Gala map, which takes place on the island of Krakoa, adding a new region type to the game. With the addition of Hellfire Gala, NetEase games will be rotating some older maps out of the competitive playlist. All maps will still be playable in-game, just not while on the ranked grind. Speaking of ranked, the second season will come with another reset for players, and will also see the introduction of the pick/ban phase for players in the gold rank. NetEase Games has also implement a balance pass on the over-performing and underperforming heroes from season 1. This comes alongside an evolution of the Team-Up system, where some characters will lose their Team-Up abilities in favor of new ones. Low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines has reportedly signed a deal with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) to start flying deportation flights from Arizona this May, a move the company’s CEO has acknowledged is controversial, according to the Associated Press. Avelo CEO Andrew Levy said, “we realize this is a sensitive and complicated topic,” but the airline’s flights would be part of a “long-term charter program” to support the DHS’ deportation plans, which would help with expansion and protect jobs. Meanwhile, some upset customers are taking to social media in protest. On Bluesky, one user posted, “Nope. They fly a route I take and it’s closer to home but I’ll travel further and fly American.” Many others used the hashtag “#BoycottAveloAirlines to register their dismay. Fast Company has reached out to Avelo Airlines for comment on the backlash. In addition, more than 4,000 people have signed a Change.org petition to boycott the budget airline until it halts plans to carry out deportation flights. Avelo said it will use three Boeing 737-800 planes out of Mesa Gateway Airport, near Phoenix for those flights. The online Change.org boycott petition was created by New Haven Immigrants Coalition, which is located in the same town as Avelo’s main East Coast airport hub, Tweed New Haven Airport. The AP reported that the city’s Democratic Mayor Justin Elicker has also called Levy and urged him to reconsider the flights.
