WCCFTECH.COMMarathon Will Not Require a PlayStation Network Account on PC and Xbox Series X|S, Bungie ConfirmsMenu Home News Hardware Gaming Mobile Finance Deals Reviews How To Wccftech Gaming Marathon Will Not Require a PlayStation Network Account on PC and Xbox Series X|S, Bungie Confirms Francesco De Meo • Apr 10, 2025 at 10:42am EDT Marathon will not require a PlayStation network account to play on PC and Xbox Series X and S, Bungie confirmed today. Speaking on the game's official Discord server, as reported by KAMI on X, a rep for the game's development team confirmed that an account will not be required to play on platforms other than PlayStation 5. This is definitely good news, considering that multiplayer games like Helldivers 2 still require a PlayStation Network account on PC, essentially making the game unavailable in regions that are not supported by the PlayStation online service. Bungie has confirmed that Marathon will not require a PlayStation Network account on PC and Xbox. Gameplay reveal this Saturday, April 12th @ 10AM PT.#Marathon #MarathontheGame pic.twitter.com/cE0kYS830H — KAMI (@Okami13_) April 10, 2025 Over a year after its official announcement, Marathon will finally be unveiled later this week, on April 12th. Very little is currently known about the game other than the fact that it will be an extraction shooter featuring multiple different characters called Runners, who will all come with different abilities and some customization options. The game also promises to provide players with plenty of tools to achieve their objectives, such as weapons that alter character stats and more. Player action, additionally, is said to influence the game's persistent world, although it hasn't been specified in which ways and how it will impact the experience as a whole. Hopefully, these mechanics, alongside every other core mechanic, will get detailed in the game's grand reveal in two days. 0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 100 Ansichten

0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 107 Ansichten

WWW.GAMESPOT.COMWhere To Find All The Microchips In Blue PrinceAre you looking for Microchips in Blue Prince? These tiny items can be used in a couple of areas in the estate, and doing so grants a permanent perk. There are also cryptic clues that help you ascertain their location. In any case, our guide discusses all these details, but we do want to warn you that there will be spoilers ahead.Where to find all Microchips in Blue Prince - Microchip locations guideThere are three Microchips in the game. The first one that you find might surprise you, as it's also how you'll learn about the existence of the others. This guide will discuss where you can find the clues first in case you want to search for the items on your own. Then, towards the later part of the article, we talk about the actual locations. The location of the first MicrochipThe first Blue Prince Microchip that you're likely to spot can be found in the pedestal in Blackbridge Grotto. Throughout most of the game, you're probably not aware that these items even exist. Then, once you see the two other notches in the pedestal, you'll know that you'll have to look for two others.Note: If you stumbled upon this guide by accident, just know that the Blackbridge Grotto appears as a location outside the mansion once you've completed the Laboratory Puzzle. The location's permanent perk allows you to hack one offline terminal when you're using a different computer. For instance, you can still access lab experiments from the Security Room or Office even if you haven't drafted the Laboratory during a particular run. The hints from A New ClueFor those who want to find the other Blue Prince Microchips on their own, we suggest reading a book called A New Clue. Here's a quick summary:You may purchase new books from the Bookstore. It's a room that has to be drafted adjoining the Library. You then need to request A New Clue via the check-out document in the Library. It should appear on the table the next day.A New Clue offers some of the coolest tidbits in the game, including hints to other puzzles and secrets. As for the Microchips themselves, well, there are visual hints seen on the pages of the book. The clue for the second MicrochipOne of the pages in A New Clue shows a person standing in an empty hallway. The floor looks eerily similar to the manor's grid-like construction, too. Behind the person, you'll see a hammer and a vase. The clue for the third MicrochipThere's yet another clue on the pages of A New Clue. There's a photo of "Corner Cases" and several rooms have a check mark. These include the Patio, Office, Nook, and Pantry. It just so happens that these rooms have notes, and you'll notice something conspicuous when you read them. The location of the second MicrochipIt's very likely that you've passed by the location of a Blue Prince Microchip without ever noticing that it was there the entire time. The item is actually inside the ornate vase at the left-hand side of the Entrance Hall. You do need a Sledge Hammer to break the vase. The location of the third MicrochipAs for the third Microchip, take a look at the messages on the aforementioned notes. Notice the italicized words?Patio: BuriedOffice: BesideNook: WestPantry: BridgetteThe clue tells you that something is "buried beside west bridge." There's a good chance that you already have access to this location, especially after you've opened the Garage Door. So, just head to the area and make sure you have a Shovel with you.Look closely at the ground next to the right-hand side of the bridge (when facing the shed). Your cursor should turn into a different icon, allowing you to dig a hidden mound. Microchip rewardAfter obtaining all three Microchips in Blue Prince, head back to Blackbridge Grotto and place them on the pedestal. Then, go through the passageway to pick up the Throne Room blueprint. It's a new room that you can draft inside the manor.Note: The Blackbridge Grotto also has another interesting secret involving the admin keys, but we won't discuss that loose thread here. The Scorched SundialOh, you thought you're already done? Well, not quite, because A New Clue offers more interesting hints. These pertain to a sundial that's scorched. And, you know what, the location is fairly close, too.Simply make your way to the Apple Orchard, which you've probably unlocked earlier in your playthrough. At the back of the yard, you'll notice a sundial. So, how exactly does the sundial get scorched? Well, just use something that can light candles/fuses. Click and interact with it to apply the scorch marks, then rotate it. It should open up to reveal indentations where you can place the Microchips. This unlocks a permanent perk/fixture, the Satellite Dish. With it, you can access more emails from SYNKA and staff via computer terminals. Even better, you can download a packet that adds all sorts of options for your lab experiments. That does it for our Blue Prince Microchips guide. We hope you enjoyed this little hunt and that you're eager to discover more secrets.A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 70 Ansichten

GAMERANT.COMSolo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- ReviewSolo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- had its work cut out for it coming into the new year after season 1. As good as it was, the first season of Solo Leveling didn't quite convince people who weren't already invested in the series. However, now that it's over, it's safe to say the second season of the Solo Leveling anime adaptation was a complete triumph that not only massively improved on the few issues that the first had, but also gave some truly exceptional, if not historic scenes and voice actor performances in both English and Japanese that have turned some of the most fervent naysayers into people who at the very least respect what A-1 Pictures has done.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 65 Ansichten

WWW.POLYGON.COMWith Sinners, Black Panther’s Ryan Coogler finds the racial heart of American vampirismThere are two kinds of messy big-budget movies, and as of 2025, Ryan Coogler has made them both. There’s the Marvel kind (seen in Coogler’s Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), where directorial vision comes second to the studio machine, and to shared-universe requirements, VFX constraints, notes from audience test screenings, and a restrictive house style. And then there’s the Sinners kind, where no matter the studio process, the result is stamped with the artist’s signature through and through. His vampire-gangster-Western — and occasional musical! — is chaotic not for its lack of ideas and influences, but for their overabundance. It’s surprising that it holds together, given the sheer number of tones on display. What’s practically a miracle, however, is that it’s also one of 2025’s most sharply conceived works of popcorn entertainment. When we award the Polygon Recommends badge, it’s because we believe the recipient is uniquely thought-provoking, entertaining, inventive, or fun — and worth fitting into your schedule. If you want curated lists of our favorite media, check out What to Play and What to Watch. Set in Clarksdale, Mississippi, in 1932, Sinners unfolds over a single day, as notorious local brothers the SmokeStack twins (Michael B. Jordan in a dual role) return home from Prohibition-era Chicago and the employ of Al Capone. Elijah, known as Smoke, is the hardheaded, no-nonsense brains of their operation, while Elias, aka Stack, is the slimier and more seductive front. The former is stiff in posture, while the latter smiles with bejeweled teeth. Together, they lure former friends and colleagues to work for them during the grand opening night of their ramshackle juke joint. They hope to make it a center for food, libations, blues music, and merrymaking for Black folks in the segregated South, but mostly, they just want to make money. Their recruitment scenes take up nearly half of the film’s 137-minute run time, and in the process, endear us to the brothers’ dynamic with each other. With their younger cousin Sammie (Miles Caton) in tow — the guitar-strumming son of a preacher, framed by the voice-over as so talented that he conjures up spirits of the past and future — the twins begin their venture without a hitch, until a trio of unwanted white guests shows up at their door. Little by little, familiar genre tropes begin to emerge, like the strangers specifically requesting to be “invited” inside. After a steady, character-centric intro, Coogler further builds momentum by cutting between moments of intense bodily motion, then charges headfirst into vampire movie territory. His script assumes his audience is familiar enough with the genre’s conventions, so he never slows down to explain them. But when the drama and environment are this absorbing, it’s hard not to come along for the ride. Coogler’s last three films have been part of major franchises — after the indie biopic Fruitvale Station, he directed the seventh Rocky movie, Creed, and the two Black Panthers. Here, though, he pivots toward a wholly original piece of pop-horror, with B-movie influences befitting of grindhouse cinemas (and with one particularly amusing nod to John Carpenter’s The Thing). It’s a spiritual splatter film, with intimate dilemmas concerning greed and temptation giving way to spurts of practical, orange-brown blood, the kind you’d likely find in a George Romero film. Sinners is a vampire movie, but it’s practically structured like a zombie feature, with a compact cast of characters trying to survive the night as ghouls overtly embodying deep societal malaise creep toward them. On one hand, the vampires embody the racial animus of the casually violent Jim Crow 1930s (some of them are literal Klan members), but on the other hand, the movie cuts deeper with its monster metaphors and its supernatural goings-on. Before long, the villains’ offers of eternal life (and much more; these vampires have some fun twists) not only begin to read as preferable alternatives to the Black community’s struggle for equality and survival, but as mirrors to the vices Smoke and Stack brought back with them from the big city. The undead are just one of several mystical elements in Sinners; the others include Sammie’s spiritually tinged crooning, and the spiritual practices of Smoke’s ex Annie (Loki and Lovecraft Country’s Wunmi Mosaku), all of which eventually come together, albeit in bumpy ways. For instance, Coogler imbues Sammie’s music with rousing physical form, connecting genres and influences across time in magnificent long takes that look like psychic visions and feel like magic. Caton even sounds a little like the director when he speaks, making Sammie a self-reflection of sorts, intentional or otherwise. Sammie is a young creator trying to make art that speaks to a larger legacy, while also having to contend with the sins of his rich benefactors — his twin cousins — who tempt his fellow artists with devilish deals. It’s hard not to wonder whether Coogler has been dealing with the same pull and push of temptation, as a sought-after studio filmmaker who sparked a global conversation on the legacy of museums. Coogler may be free from the more restrictive form of filmmaking other Marvel directors have chafed under — he recently described his Marvel stint as an “open directing assignment” — but even throwing himself into this new original IP, under the Warner Bros. umbrella, runs the risk of starting that cycle anew. (There’s no Sinners sequel on the horizon yet, but who’s to say?) Sammie’s ability to connect people to their ancestors makes him a particular object of desire to the movie’s villains. The purity of what he creates is fragile, and can easily be corrupted; as it happens, the vampires sing appropriated folk songs of their own, but use the appearance of sincerity as a hilarious facade. It’s goofy and chilling all at once. The small group trying to survive these bizarre events includes Sammie, the twins, Annie, alcoholic blues musician Delta Slim (Delroy Lindo), Chinese American business owners Grace (Li Jun Li) and Bo Chow (Yao), and Stack’s former flame Mary (Hailee Steinfeld) — a white-passing woman who gets a little too close to the nefarious newcomers. As it happens, several of these characters are in the throes of grief, whether over the deaths of loved ones or the loss of their past connections to one another, making them particularly susceptible to the evil forces outside. On paper, Sinners seems like a rather straightforward creature feature, but its cheap thrills come wrapped in prestigious studio packaging, in a way only Jordan Peele has seemed capable of in recent years. From an aesthetic standpoint, the film is incredibly self-assured — much of which is owed to cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw and her use of celluloid contrast. It has the deepest shadows you’ve ever seen during daylight, injecting each scene with a sense of mystery. But the way its skin tones and physical environments pop without overwhelming one another grant the movie’s setting a distinct lived reality. Clarksdale is a sharecropping town, introduced through shots of its Black workers toiling in cotton fields. These images evoke the past horrors of slavery, the same way Slim and Sammie’s toe-tapping blues performances bear the influence of African American spirituals. (Sammie has a background as a church singer, after all.) Everything that appears on screen is wrapped up in larger echoes of American history, and its original sin of subjugation and slavery. But at the heart of these evils lies a more fundamental desire, which even its Black characters can’t escape: the allure of money and wealth. The vampires know this, too, and tempt their targets not just with eternal life, but with gold. The film is dialogue-heavy in its explanations, though it remains emotionally convincing. Much of this comes down to Jordan’s debonair dual performances. The SmokeStack twins are ruthless in their pursuit of wealth, but never unlikable (they’re also quite funny at times), ensuring that when tragedy befalls them, it evokes sympathy and dramatic irony in equal measure. A question always looms over the movie’s horrors: Do Elias and Elijah deserve this? Even as Sinners accelerates toward its climax, none of it feels wasted. Its action is explosive, and while Coogler’s vicious momentum can be visually disorienting at times, the adrenaline and the way he tethers each character to a distinctly spiritual question ensure that the movie’s strengths far outweigh its flaws. It’s a very strange movie at times, right down to its lengthy mid-credits epilogue. But it’s also a major swing for big-budget genre cinema, and a deeply personal one at that, with surprising introspections about artistic inheritance nestled among cartoonish gore. It’s hardly the gonzo combination expected from a sanitized studio product. Instead, it feels like the outpouring of a genre filmmaker liberated from constraints, as he tells a story about what liberation could even mean in a system where every possible alternative is awash in sin. Sinners opens in theaters on April 18.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 54 Ansichten

DESIGN-MILK.COMZaha Hadid Architects Brings Futuristic Lens to Baroque Rome HotelDefined by its elaborate articulation of grandeur and intricate curvature, the 17th century Baroque style was implemented as a counter Protestant Reformation measure intended to draw the masses back to the pomp and circumstance of the Catholic Church. There is perhaps no place where this approach was deployed with more fervor than in Rome, Italy. The ancient city is a palimpsest of history like no other. Traces from various eras of boom and bust are evident if one knows where to look. Unfortunately, a lot has been lost or covered up in favor of efficiency and other nefarious aims. Like so many Renaissance buildings of its kind, Palazzo Capponi all but lost its original Baroque interiors when unceremoniously turned into a government building during the 1950s. Tasked with its adaptive reuse transformation, powerhouse London firm Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) worked to revive what would become Romeo Hotel Roma’s meticulously painted ceiling and wall frescos before introducing its distinctly futuristic – and parametric – touch. With ZHA not content to just recreate a disingenuous facsimile, this juxtaposition is both visually appealing and authentic; operating along the lines of patronage: the age-old tradition in which skilled artist and artisans were called up to outfit grand edifices – like this one – with incredibly detailed ornamentation and flex their creative muscles in doing so. Portal entrance of Palazzo Caponi \\\ Photo: Jacopo Spilimbergo, courtesy of Romeo Collection “Rome’s architectural history can be read in its masonry vaults, from the Roman, through the Renaissance and Baroque periods, into the 18th Century,” says Paola Cattarin, the ZHA project lead responsible for the comprehensive conversion. “We took inspiration from this idea, to make a new interpretation of vaults and their intersections. The word disegno (design) itself is derived from the verb segnare (to sign). Our three-dimensional approach to form facilitated a level of idiosyncrasy reflective of Italy’s artisanal tradition.” Reception \\\ Photo: Chris Dalton, courtesy of Romeo Collection Bistro \\\ Photo: Chris Dalton, courtesy of Romeo Collection Il Restaurante Alain Ducasse \\\ Photo: Chris Dalton, courtesy of Romeo Collection Brass-ring vaults delicately delimit the public spaces’ lava stone and ebony floors. On offer is one of the world’s most Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse’s Il Ristorante. Sicilian rock salt and tadelakt clad the walls of the basement-level spa. Close to 50 companies were involved in the restoration of the palazzo; submitting 230 applications for historically sensitive alterations. During the painstaking process, a near intact ancient Roman wall was, unsurprisingly, exhumed. Rather than conceal this architectural artifact, it was carefully preserved and programmed as an amenity. Many of the implemented finishes – Carrara Statuarietto and Nero Marquina marble paired with Makassar ebony, cedar, and chestnut woods, as well as Porcelenosa’s engineered Kiron solid surface – have the added quality of acoustic attenuations, helping to drown out the noise of Vespas zipping by outside. Suites on the piano nobile level are imbued with the aforementioned 17th century frescoes. Those on higher levels come with balconies and terraces framing panoramic views of the surrounding city. This sophisticated decadence also alludes to the bohemian nature of the surrounding area. “Piazza del Popolo was the salotto of Rome in the 1950s and ’60s. Federico Fellini and Marcello Mastroianni regularly met at the Bar Rosati,” say, Alfredo Romeo, the founder of Romeo Hotels who oversaw the listed destination’s metamorphosis for well over a decade.
