WWW.GADGETS360.COMOpenAI Unveils Codex CLI, an Open-Source Agentic Coding Assistant That Can Operate LocallyOpenAI introduced an open‑source artificial intelligence (AI) command‑line tool on Thursday that can operate within a user's terminal. Dubbed Codex CLI, it is essentially an AI agent that can perform various coding tasks and can even autonomously execute commands, all within a sandboxed local system. The tool does not require any installation setup, and can use multiple OpenAI AI models. However, the open-source project is currently under active development, and the AI firm warns that it might not be entirely stable.OpenAI's New Open-Source AI Agent Can Code LocallyThe San Francisco-based AI firm introduced Codex CLI in a post on its website. Calling it a “lightweight coding agent,” the company said it can read, modify, and run code in a user's terminal. The AI agent runs locally and does not require any Internet connectivity to function. It officially supports macOS and Linux, however, Windows support is experimental and might require Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).OpenAI's Codex CLI is an interesting project. Today, developers have two options if they want to use AI systems for coding-related tasks. They can either opt for a cloud-based closed AI system, which would require them to upload their code to the cloud and pay for the service. Or, they can opt for an open-source AI model that can be downloaded on their workstation, but it is generally less powerful compared to what companies offer.Codex CLI offers a midpoint between these two solutions. OpenAI says the AI agent can operate locally, meaning coders do not have to share their repository with the AI firm. This ensures data security for the developers. On the other hand, the AI agent runs on the company's powerful o4-mini and other reasoning models, offering flagship-tier performance.“Because the CLI runs locally, your source code never leaves your environment unless you choose to share it,” the company said on its website. However, user prompts, high-level context, and optional differential summaries are sent to the model for output generation. The AI agent does not require any installation setup, instead, it can be activated using an OpenAI application programming interface (API) key. By default, Codex CLI uses the o4-mini AI model, but the company is also letting users switch between multiple other options. Notably, since it requires an API key, the AI agent is not free, even if it can be run locally. API charges will apply. There are three modes that developers can use. The Suggest mode can read files in the user's repository, propose edits and shell commands, however, it will need permission before making changes or executing commands. In the Auto Edit mode, it can read and write files automatically, but it will still ask for permission before running shell commands. Finally, in the Full Auto mode, the AI agent can read, write, and execute commands autonomously inside a sandboxed, network-disabled environment scoped to the current directory. Codex CLI can be accessed from OpenAI's GitHub listing.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 75 Ansichten

WWW.RESETERA.COMLTTP: Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First SinDarthKamen Keeper of the White Materia Member Jun 22, 2023 2,330 On to the controversial one! -I named my character Mephiles. Because I want to use Dark stuff. -The opening cinematic is gorgeous, even if a little on the nose. -I'm sorry, is that a goddamn Basilisk I spot in the OPENING AREA? -Majula is without question my favorite hub zone in one of these so far. Probably one of my favorite hubs in gaming. Just absolutely gorgeous with some stunning music. -Having so few Estus, and using these Life gems feels odd. Especially since they heal over time instead of all at once. I'll have to wait and see if that's good or bad. -Getting more and more undead as you die is a cool visual touch..but I just wanna see my character as I designed them. -Losing more and more of your max HP as you die is...very punishing. I already sense that being a point of frustration for me. -A bulky badass looking knight playing Nightreign dropped in. He quickly killed me. -It's impressive how different it looks from DS1. I won't necessarily say better but they are both extremely distinct. -Last Giant was a very basic opening boss, but decently fun. So far I actually really like this. Some things I'm iffy on, but I really wanna play more, and am excited to start putting my build together. super-famicom Avenger Oct 26, 2017 29,748 I really like this game. If they're using dark stuff, I imagine they'll be Hexing, so they can bump up Agility by putting points into Attunement instead of just dumping 20 into Adaptability to get it. Lumination Member Oct 26, 2017 15,594 I will say some positive things about DS2. There are some cool ideas in Scholar specifically I wish they continued, but won't bring up due to spoilers. The decreasing health is punishing, but it's not unlike DeS or DS3 (which I know you haven't played yet!) It's a strictly friendlier version than DeS, which DS3 makes more friendly. Don't overthink it! Playing a caster does allow you to skip Adaptability, which would be a "buff" to those classes. Nerokis Member Oct 25, 2017 6,611 YESSSS Enjoy. You might run into a few people here and there but it's mostly dead. The Souls community does often do regular "return to ____" events where everyone plays one of the older games and engages in as much online play as possible, so it's much more alive during that time. But outside of that, not much. Edit: Looked it up and you just missed it unfortunately. Was Feb-March. :( Mary Celeste Member Oct 25, 2017 14,097 Best Souls 2 claims another. Enjoy it OP! She'll get agility (at a slightly slower rate) by levelling attunement. As for the drop in max health, there's a way to mitigate it, and if you do co-op regularly you'll be swimming in human effigies. Noema Member Jan 17, 2018 5,198 Mexico CIty Dark Souls 2 is so ugly, clunky, and quirky. Boy, is it ugly at times. The shaded woods and the harvest valley sport PS2-tier textures and geometry. Yet I love it so much; certainly, more than DS3, a tighter, more polished, better-looking game that also ends up feeling stale and boring, especially due to how linear it is. A great game for sure, but DS2 holds an incredibly special place in my heart and DS3 doesn't. Neither does Elden Ring. I'd rather replay DS2 ten times over than replay Elden Ring. DS1 introduced me to the series, but it was the PTSD from 250 tries against the Fume Knight that made me fall in love with their games. OP OP DarthKamen Keeper of the White Materia Member Jun 22, 2023 2,330 I think most disappointing aspect about these games is the lack of online activitity. I want to play with others but it's a ghost town. I get they're old but it's still a little disappointing. Common Knowledge One Winged Slayer Member Oct 25, 2017 7,214 I liked it a lot when I played for the first time last year (first time playing through the whole series actually). Very unique atmosphere that just feels more "adventure-y" than the other games. You just gotta know ahead of time where to focus your level up points so you can get around the unorthodox mechanics. Wil Grieve Member Oct 25, 2017 8,785 Of the series, Dark Souls Remastered is the only one to make it to my all purpose gaming all timers top 5. But Dark Souls 2 SOTFS is I think the one I liked the most. Objectively, it has some pretty big issues I hated, but ultimately it's the most 11/10 I've ever felt about a 7/10 game. Learning to parry the Pursuer made me feel like such a badass when his stupid ass showed up. (put some distance between you and him, and then when he charges you, parry the moment he reaches you) Armorer Dennis, fuck you. but yeah I was rocking the dark hexer with a scythe look, was pretty rad. jungius Member Sep 5, 2021 3,505 I hate 2 tbh with limited effigies thingie, it is also the most creepy of the series, all area infested with human undead and dark AndrewGPK Member Oct 27, 2017 4,039 Adaptability tax, death health tax, slow health regain when using Estus, some unfair boss tracking, and too many enemy hoards Those are the complaints but its a very good game. I think knowing about adaptability early is also an advantage for new players that first adopters may not have had. You won't have so many of the iframe complaints because you'll level it. Yonafunu Member Oct 26, 2017 2,855 I have good memories of DS2 and certainly the DLC, but every time I actually play it again or see someone else play it I remember all the little annoying things. Most notably, it just sucks to play compared to Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3. The movement sucks, the moment-to-moment gameplay and level design sucks, the animations suck, it's just not as fun to play coming off the other two games. It's fun on its own merits tho, the atmosphere and level variety is top tier, there's some cool ideas there and it feels like its own thing, for better and worse. OP OP DarthKamen Keeper of the White Materia Member Jun 22, 2023 2,330 -You gain levels extremely fast in this game. I've already managed to reach 20 Int and 20 Faith. -So a common complaint I've heard about this game is that it has "too many dudes in armor" as bosses. I...can't really view that as a negative. My favorite bosses in these have been with someone semi comparable to you, Radagon, Rellana, Artorias, all Hunter fights...I'm all for more bosses like that. -On that note, both Pursuer and Dragonrider were incredibly fun, and I even managed to find a real human to help with Pursuer! -Something I meant to bring up yesterday, but damn the backstab animations are sick. Overall still really liking this. I do sorta miss the interconnected world of DS1, but I've enjoyed the levels in their own right. WCCFTECH.COMSamsung Had Reportedly Pushed Back The Operational Timeline Of Its Taylor Plant To 2027, But The Company Denies That Such Delays Are HappeningOperations happening at Samsug's Taylor plant located in Texas A report was doing the rounds, stating that Samsung had hit the brakes on its Taylor plant located in Texas regarding the commencement of operations. Due to a multitude of setbacks, the company was said to have delayed its original target to 2027. However, the Korean giant likely noted that this information was being disseminated in the wrong direction, prompting Samsung to quickly issue a statement, quelling all of these rumors. The Taylor plant was previously said to have a minimum employee headcount as Samsung was facing various obstacles, particularly with low yields of its next-generation wafers The media outlet The Elec was one of the first to break the news that Samsung had delayed the operational timeline of its Taylor production facility. However, as reported by Kxan, the technology giant issued a statement, mentioning that it is sticking with its original timeline to start production at the plant, which is 2026. Based on what Samsung has talked about the facility below, it appears the site holds immense significance for it. The company also intends to create 10,000 jobs in the cities of Austin and Taylor. “What makes the Taylor project so exciting is its potential to positively impact the lives of people around the world and in its own backyard. Our Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC). With greater manufacturing capacity, we will be able to better serve the needs of our customers and contribute to the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain. For Taylor, located less than 30 minutes from the Texas state capital of Austin, our investment will bring thousands of new jobs and valuable training. Together with our existing manufacturing site in Austin, the facility will allow us to open up exciting opportunities for Central Texans for years to come.” Earlier, we reported that Samsung had withdrawn personnel from this plant as it struggled to bring up the yields of its 2nm process. It is possible the company’s troubles with its next-generation nodes might have something to do with keeping a limited staff at the Taylor factor, but Samsung denied these claims. It is unclear if we shall witness 2nm wafer production at this facility, but we will update our readers in the coming months, so stay tuned. News Source: Kxan0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 80 Ansichten
