GAMINGBOLT.COMAssassin’s Creed Shadows Rated for Nintendo Switch 2 by PEGINews Assassin’s Creed Shadows Rated for Nintendo Switch 2 by PEGI Available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, Ubisoft's hit open-world action RPG is seemingly due for Nintendo's next console. Posted By Ravi Sinha | On 20th, Apr. 2025 Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws has a release date for Nintendo Switch 2, but it seems the company has other titles coming to the platform in the near future. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released last month for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, was recently rated by PEGI in Europe for the platform, as spotted by Gematsu. However, this is only viewable under the “Most Searched Games” tab. The actual listing doesn’t list the Nintendo Switch 2. Whether this is an error or the changes have yet to reflect on the page itself, it makes sense for Ubisoft to bring the open-world action RPG to more platforms. After all, it crossed three million players just over a week after launching, recorded the second-highest day-one sales revenue for the franchise, and topped US sales charts for its first three weeks. How it will perform on Switch 2 remains to be seen, so stay tuned and check out our review in the meantime. I'm not entirely sure why I decided to create a new thread for the new year rather than carry on the old one, but here we are. I'm sure many of you are like me and love indie games, under the radar gems, bargains, Metroidvanias etc I think it's fair to say the Switch has been a superb home for playing indies, and hopefully this will continue with the new console which will more than likely be out this year. So please once again join in by telling us about whatever games you're loving on your Switch, and keep all your fingers crossed we get Silksong and Pizza Tower this year. And that's on TOP of all the JRPGs (albeit, not hitting Switch) like Persona 3, Like a Dragon, & FF7 Rebirth. 2024's Q1 is more packed for me than most of 2023, damn. Ive kinda gone from being against using save states to being more laid back. Its useful as a checkpoint if I want to take a break, or just set my own checkpoints if I dont wanna replay an entire game that has limited continues. I dont tend to save scum, but honestly who cares these days, rewind and save states are just super convenient and it really doesnt hurt peoples enjoyment if they are included. So far, I put it right up there with A Short Hike, Toem, and Spirit Farer as the besr cozy indie games available on the Switch. The only negative I've encountered so far is the lack of a jump button. It's not mechanically necessary for the game at all, but given it's a 3d, 3rd person game where you do A LOT of running around, I want to be jumping and hopping around so bad... Otherwise, fantastic game so far. Caeda Member Oct 25, 2017 2,100 Danbury, CT What are y'all's recommendations for games under $20 USD? WCCFTECH.COMAMD Believes “Inference” on Mobile Phones and Laptops Is the Future; Claims It Is An Opportunity to Challenge NVIDIA’s AI DominanceMenu Home News Hardware Gaming Mobile Finance Deals Reviews How To Wccftech HardwareIndustry AMD Believes “Inference” on Mobile Phones and Laptops Is the Future; Claims It Is An Opportunity to Challenge NVIDIA’s AI Dominance Muhammad Zuhair • Apr 20, 2025 at 02:31pm EDT AMD has bet that inference at data centers will soon become "obsolete" and will instead be used by consumer-oriented devices like phones and laptops. AMD's CTO Says Tech Giants Are Moving Towards AI Inference Workloads As Consumers Are Preferring Edge AI Devices Well, the start of the "AI frenzy" was marked by the craze for model training, and how companies built up huge computational capabilities to train their respective LLMs, but it seems like the markets are switching towards inference, and AMD believes that it is at the very forefront of this transition. In an interview with Business Insider, AMD's CTO, Mark Papermaster, revealed that inference is moving towards "edge devices", and given that Team Red believes that it can provide NVIDIA a tough time in this segment. Question: OK, say it's 2030 — how much inference is done at the edge? AMD's CTO: Over time, it'll be a majority. I can't say when the switch over is because it's driven by the applications — the development of the killer apps that can run on edge devices. We're just seeing the tip of the spear now, but I think this moves rapidly. Papermaster believes that the soaring costs of AI compute with data centers will ultimately force tech giants like Microsoft, Meta, and Google to rethink their approach, making edge AI much more common. He believes that this is one of the major reasons AMD takes the "AI PC" hype with much more seriousness than its competitors, like Intel and Qualcomm. Team Red's latest APU lineups, such as the Strix Point and Strix Halo, are a testament to the company's commitment to bringing AI computational capabilities into small form factors, that too at a fraction of the cost. When asked about the build-up of compute resources and how it is going to turn out, AMD's CTO responded by saying that there's a special focus on increasing the accuracy and efficiency of models out there, and with the release of DeepSeek, tech giants are resorting to optimized alternatives. Ultimately, in a larger time span, devices would be capable enough to run sophisticated AI models locally, allowing users to experience the fullest regarding AI capabilities. AMD's CTO's remarks remind me of when Intel's former CEO Pat Gelsinger claimed that inference is the way to go in the future. This shows that NVIDIA's competitors cannot compete in the "AI training" markets, since Team Green has monopolized them by staying ahead of the curve. The only challenge they can give NVIDIA is by competing in future markets like AI inferencing, and it seems like AMD has already started on this, by introducing processors capable enough of edge AI.
